Redpill me on 4K, /tv/.
all of it. from streaming to home media to television broadcasts, to television sets, to availability, current and in the near future.
will i really have to buy a THIRD copy of some of my favorite movies again after DVD and Blu-ray?
No need. Not worth it. Nothing made before 4k cameras has enough visual data to justify a 4k release. And 4k footage itself is really only useful as a raw footage source that can be comfortably chopped up into smaller material that still outputs at 1080.
apparently 35mm film is appox. as good as a 6K picture so there could be improvement still (yeah, yeah, i know the faults in comparing analog v. digital and all that, and all the variables contained in the physical condition of the film does a lot to affect quality, and degradation in copies of the negative and reprints, and so on and so forth, but theoretically film is still "superior" as far a resolution goes)
I'm 2 seasons in. When does it gets funny?
What the fuck?
Halloween is over but that doesn't mean the spooky times have to end. What horror movies are you watching tonight, /tv/?
did we ever get an explanation for this?
did it ever happen again?
I find female Dwight Schrute hot.
Wait, was this a real show? I think I accidentally watched the pilot after the Olympics this past summer once, because it was an Olympics themed episode
I thought it was a one off for NBC to cash in on Olympic hype, I didn't think it was a real show
You're in the club and this guy grabs your girlfriend's ass
What do you do?
It really was her fault. If she hadn't ran off with Orlando Bloom, the war wouldn't have happened.
Is Helen the biggest slut in history?
DUDE Male rape is hilarious LMAO
The whole joke is that GOB didn't get raped by the big black guy, but that the big black guy seduced him and they had a loving relationship. Who cares though the movie sucks anyway.
Pic related, John Hamm
So what, was this supposed to be another movie entirely before it got turned into a vampire flick?
The first half of it was actually kind of interesting and you wouldn't even know it had anything to do with vampires until they show up and start fucking everyone up. Seriously, what the hell is this movie?

What a time to be alive my fellow cineastes.
Is this the best horror movie of all time?
Especially at that time. I watched it a few weeks ago again and I got shivers. The part where the mother of the priest sits on the white bed is haunting.
It's also one of the first of that genre, has a great build-up and a memorable finale.
>Also some people working on the movie died during filming, if I remember correctly.
Its one of the only "horror classics" that actually deserves its admiration and perceived importance.
Its wonderful to look at, has brilliant sound design, an excellent cast and a perfect ending.
Friedkin was fucking killing it in the 70s.
For me The French Connection, The Exorcist and Sorcerer is probably best 3 hit combo any director has ever managed.
Are there any good shows with naturally strong female characters? No sjw bullshit please. Really upstanding ladies like Joan of Arc, Queen Victoria, Catherine II and such. When women is tough and alpha, but it's realistic and her natural womanhood is not washed away with politically correct agenda.
Got recommended "The Americans", "Xena" - these I have seen.
"Fringe" and "Alies" also been recommended, but these are made by JJ and he's outspoken Europhobic bigot and a cultural marxist, so into the trash it goes. Thanks in advance for your recommendation.
Well that was terrible.
could be worse
Saw this yesterday, and I thought it was amazing. Apparently it was panned on release by critics who labeled it "instant trash" and a "barf-bag movie." Why did this happen? The movie is easily 10/10
was Childs a Thing?
because a lot of great films are panned or not heralded as great when they're released
and I have no idea, my brain tells me mac was the thing for about half of the movie and childs wasn't infected but the thing got him by sharing the bottle
Could an Extended Cut really fix this?
Yes and I have it pre-ordered.
14 more days till digital release.
What is the best non-comedy/parody episode?
The Pine Bluff Variant
Folie a Deux
I think this movie might have the most based dialogue of any movie ever.
Did he died?
Looks like memes back on the menu bois!
>Go into this thinking this shit will be a total jerk stereotypical "Evil Alpha. Reeeee"
>Seems like a mild jerk but not that bad. His friend seemed worse
>Worst thing he really does is being protective.
>Spray paint wasnt his idea and he ends up cleaning it
>Ends up helping.
>Buys a new camera for John. Even if he wont admit it to him
I mean I...

Did he died?
He's a host, calling it now.
>talks to an old model host at the "bar"
>MiB asks what he would find if he opened him up
>can control other hosts and objects in Westworld with his mind
>scared of Albert's ghost
He probably had something to do with Albert's death as well because he was Albert's ultimate creation, a real AI.
ITT: characters who are literally you
I watched it over the weekend.
If there's anything you guys would like to know even just my opinion feel free to ask.
Isn't it ironic how he
babbles on about karma biting people in the assand so he starts biting people in the ass?
Like what's even his point? That'd be like travelling back in time and killing all the jews before hitler can get them. Good job, your stopped the holocaust. except you didn't. you fuck.
Was 24 actually good?
