I just watched this and I spent the entire movie repeating the words "This is reddit, this is memes, this is reddit, this is memes..." under my breath.
I fucking hated it. I was writhing around on the floor in front of my seat for the last 30 minutes it was so painful.
>Ayy quirky space movie lmao
If you liked it you're in the wrong place
>I spent the entire movie repeating the words "This is reddit, this is memes, this is reddit, this is memes..." under my breath
Is anyone else cringing that they fell for the hype and liked it on opening day, only to slowly realize it's not good and Di$ney tricked us all?
Who hurt you? Did Boyega rape you? Did Daisy Ridley deny your offer of a simple dinner date? Did Oscar Isaac reject you when you wanted to hang out? Or did JJ trigger something so deep inside you that you have to come shitpost on /tv/ about a great movie?
Fucking contrarian retards, get over it, its good
Except The Phantom Menace was an actual good movie while TFA is a bad shlock because Lucas had visions, ideas and the skills to make good things with a green screen while TFA looks like a N64 videogame.
But people didn't fall for this bait, numbers are showing that TFA is a massive flop, Disney will lose money
The movie had some nice callbacks, but the last lines felt a bit ham handed
>Who are you?
>My name is Luke, I am your father
I have how callbacks are such a thing now. Like we get it, you watched the other movies or read the comic book or the original book or whatever, but why are you clapping and cheering?
It's fucking Pavlovian.
>There are people on this board that don't like the light saber duels in the prequels and prefer the Vader vs Obi Wan in Ep IV because some fat guy said on youtube.
they made sense in the context but the execution sould have been better
I get that the Republic times are more civilized and that Jedi turned swordfighting into some kind of super art and all meanwhile in the OT period everything has regressed and fights have become more savage and less artsy
Why didn't anyone on set tell the director that this scene was a little bit gay and weird? No sons and dads lay on a bed together like this
When will you be when Star Trek Beyond makes 1.9 billion dollars worldwide?
I'll start with an easy one. Equilibrium is criminally underrated and is one of dubsman's best films. If you haven't seen it yet than do yourself a favor and give it a watch.
Troll hunter was the best thing to ever come from Norway and probably the best found footage movie of all time next to Cloverfield.
>White Guilt: The Movie
How did this thing beat Capote for Best Picture? How did it even get nominated?
Why are the guys who literally popularized the somewhat justified meme of mercilessly shitting over every single aspect of the prequels giving such a pass to TFA, a film just about on par with them?
They're old and beaten, at this point they'll accept anything that gives them some resemblance to the originals. They are blinded and beaten down beyond. It's like being in a disapointing relationship and just taking whatever comes next because it is differnt than before, regardless if it isn't even objectivity better
Best casting ever
>Adam Driver - Frances Ha, While We're young
>Oscar Isaac - Inside Lewin David, A Most Violent Year, Ex Machina
>Max Von Sydow - The Shame, The Seventh Seal, A Passion, The Exorcist
>John Boyega - Attack the Block
>Domhnall Gleeson - True Grit, Calvary, Ex Machina
Prequel apologists have NOTHING. Maybe that kid from Jingle all the Way.
>You're cruising in your shit car
>Vehicle in pic related starts following you.
What would you guys do?
Internet cuddle date tonight. I have a Japanese girl who's been in the US for 3 years coming over and need to select a movie from Netflix/Amz to watch.
What's a good movie that will keep her in a positive mood, be easy for her to follow since engrish is her 2nd language, and on the longer side(2.5 hrs or longer)?
I don't want to watch Anime with her because Im not a weaboo.
>"From my point of view the Jedi are evil!"
>There are people ON THIS BOARDS that think the prequal trilogy was good all of a sudden
what does he do?
Did we liked him because he was an underdog/loser character in the movie?
>generic stormtrooper until Poe renamed him like a dog
>worked as janitor
>as a stormtrooper and unlike Rey, he had a combat training with a gun and melee weapons
>he still lost to a stormtrooper with an axe and was saved by Solo
>he lost with Kylo Ren and had to be rescued by Rey

I liked him because he was the only actor who did any sort of good acting in the movie. His character was just as poorly written as everyone else in the movie, though.
Hopefully Boyega goes on to bigger and better things after the Disney Star Wars garbage.
