Why do people hate midichlorians?
idk, Lucas had them in the canon since 1977, he just didn't see the need to mention them until TPM.
Never knew why people were so surprised that in what is ultimately a sci-fi series, that science has found some rudimentary ways to explain the phenomenon of the force. High midichlorian count is not like a DBZ power level nor is it a potential cap, it's more like an indicator of natural talent. People with more can learn easier and can tap into the raw power of the force with less effort.
