How's it hangin, Leo?
We still cool, Leo. You can still come to the Oscar party, just bring them white women.
He did great scores for the prequels, what happened with TFA?
Lucas helped feed him the inspiration to give sweeping pieces to help give Lucas his vision, right or wrongly.
Soulless corporations do not feed inspirations. They feed bottom lines. same reason disney let a bunch of people go from their parks and brought in a bunch of foreigners. They're the same free trade bloodsuckers they've always been. Walmart of the entertainment industry.
Kylo Ren was the best new character in the movie, Rey was the worst
Prove me wrong
Would have been a 9/10 if not for the lead actor being poor
Hardy carries the film
Most of you are missing the point of this character.
For Vader, his suit was necessity - he could not survive without it. He needed it.
For Kylo, his costume (mask, cape, lightsaber to a certain degree) - is an image that he wants to project. He has in his head an idea of what true Dark Side warrior should be like and that example is Vader.
In that scene when Hux comes in while Kylo and Snoke are having a discussion, you see how uncomfortable Kylo gets - he is painfully aware that he is NOTHING like Vader. He is aware of Vaders weakness - sentimentallity. He feels the same pull towards the Light (new concept, in PT and OT we always had heroes who were tempted by the Dark Side while in TFA it`s played out in reverse) but he doesnt want to accept that as he knows that is why the Galactic Empire fell.
When Kylo is talking to Vaders helmet he mentions how he feels tempted by the Light.
The reviews at letterboxd are Boyhood-tier in overblown hype - do you think this will actually be good, or is it a bad case of try-hards trying hard?
I thought I misheard this at first but were they really referring to the star in The Force Awakens as "The Sun"? Did I miss something? How the fuck did that get through proof reading?
The Resistance are going to travel to the Milky Way and land in Shia LaBeouf's backyard.
Has RDJ done any good movies outside of Marvel?
>storm troopers aren't shit anymore
>slice-of-life spinoff featuring the daily life of Storm Trooper grunts massacreing rebels and trying to appease the fascist First Order culture officer's insane demands or be shot
sounds better than the Force Awakens/10, would watch
What was the best battle in star wars?
Does Coruscant mean the first 10 minutes of RotS? Or the padawan slaughter at the end? This is very important, because the first 10 minutes is the best space combat ever put to screen, while the ground combat at the end is a fittingly garbage legacy to the end of Lucky Lucas' meddling.
A whole generation of girl will grow up with this as their role model?
Imagine what a profound change on society and gender roles this will make.
Isn't that good enough to assuage any of your criticisms?
>main antagonist in the movie
>gets hurt and barely beats a stormtrooper in laser combat
>cant read mind of a girl that uses the force for the first and and beats him using a laser thingy for the first time
Such a disappointing villain
Surely he must be a strong candidate for the worst sith of all times?
I was expecting something along the lines of darth Maul.
The film makes it clear several times that Chewbaccas gun is incredibly powerful. He takes a full blast to the gut and keeps going when other people were blown away by the same attack. Even during the fight he is very clearly injured and stops twice to try and deal with the injury. He is still able to push past it and fuck up Finn. By the time he fights Rey, he has already accumulated several serious injuries.
