I'm about to watch Star Wars for the first time, what should I expect?
Why did HAL go insane?

ITT: Your face when it's revealed that Rey is not a Skywalker, not a Solo, not a Kenobi, but a
So, let me see if I get this straight:
Upon touching a lightsaber, Rey is not only able to use the Jedi mindtrick but also able to beat Kylo in a lightsaber duel.
Assuming that Kylo had been fully trained and not shot by Chewbacca, he would've beaten Rey, right?
Ren was dealing with the fact that he just murdered his dad, got shot in the side, and took some chop from Finn.
Can we really consider Rey heroic if she fought this dude when he was at 60% health?
>and took some chop from Finn
he should have been able to kill Finn easily. Fin was good with a blaster but he was horrible with a saber.
also how did Leia know Han died? Is she force sensitive?
>That's a story for another time
And that time is right now. So /tv/, how the fuck did she get a hold of Luke's original lightsaber?
How does a lawyer become so operator? Dont you have to goto Delta school for that?
>tfw always go to movies alone because the crowds piss me off with all the sounds the make
>see star wars with a full theatre
>all their laughs and gasps
and clapsmake the experience better
anyone know this feel?
Qui-Gon vs Kylo Ren
Give him his oscar.
Maz and Snoke CGI were horrible, also the squid monsters. Took me out of the movie. Why didn't Jew-Jew learn from the prequels?
>The RealD 3D was great though.
>movie has cgi
>"How shitty. Fuck you Lucas."
>"That's cool! J.J. is brilliant"
Why are Starfags the worst?
>in the 8th movie, Rey discovers she's the granddaughter of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Duchess Satine Kryze, a Mandalorian politician
>wanting to investigate her past, she makes her way to Mandalore (which was confirmed still canon in the most recently updated galaxy map) to meet her people--the Mandalorians (which are confirmed canon from the Mand'ao flag on Maz Kanata's temple)
>there she meets the leader of the Mandalorians, Mandalore
>who is revealed...

One of these is the greatest sci-fi horror film of all time.
Which one is it?
>movie takes place on a desert planet
Why did they do this? If they didn't want to use Tatooine for the third time why did they pick another desert planet exactly like it?
They tried way too many times to try a bait and switch to make it look like it was possible that Rey won't be Luke 2.0, but is actually a double bait and switch
Like her little scavenger outfit is a torn up jedi robe basically
Are there any films that both /tv/ and reddit consider to be good?
