why wont he play in fun movies anymore?
Are you Cresent Fresh, anon?
In art and symbolism, a crescent is generally the shape produced when a circular disk has a segment of another circle removed from its edge, so that what remains is a shape enclosed by two circular arcs of different diameters which intersect at two points (usually in such a manner that the enclosed shape does not include the center of the original circle).

Say something nice about Star Trek: Voyager.
>Hardmode: Not about the Doctor
>Impossiblemode: Not about 7-o-9's tits.
Im thinking of hanging this one on my wall
What I don't like about minimalist posters is that they usually never reflect on the style of the movie.
Take my pic related for example. It's a funny way of reference the scene with the horse's head in the bed, but it has little to do with the over all tone of the movie. Most of these references come out cheesy and forced in my opionion.
I've yet to see a really good minimalist poster.
>comedian marry someone
>stop being funny
>safe space joke
>uses clips from the movie

If you don't understand matrix 2 you can't understand the 1st or the 3rd one.
The 2nd one is the most important one in the trilogy, It's the key to understanding that Zion it'self is also apart of the matrix.

Thread for those who've been watching cinema seriously for 5+ years and have advanced past capeshit, mainstream movies and the same old flicks.
Don't be offended, this is not meant to be pretentious, its just some of us have moved past IMDb-core, indie flicks and the latest hyped blockbuster and have more developed tastes. Do not troll or derail the thread with off-topic discussion.
What good films have you been enjoying lately?
Not too long ago I watched this old movie, I believe it was called "Fight Club", it was an excellent romp through the mind of psychosis.
Never see it being talked about on here, I think it's more of a cult hit. Features the work of some great actors such as Brad Pitt and one Edward Norton. Based on a novel of course but excellent writing if I say so my self.
Yes I would rate this piece of cinema quite highly and if anyone is interested in a well executed film I would recommend this piece if you're okay watching an old film.
How old were you when you grew out of it?
For me, I would say 18.
FOR I HAVE SEEN THE GLORY OF THE TRAMPLING OF THE ZOO
WE WASHED OURSELVES IN MUGGLES BLOOD AND ALL THE MUDBLOODS TOO
"The Muggle is immunized against all dangers: one may call him a scoundrel, parasite, swindler, profiteer, it all runs off him like water off a raincoat. But call him a Muggle and you will be astonished at how he recoils, how injured he is, how he suddenly shrinks back: “I’ve been found out.” ~Albus Dumbledore
Why were the fight scenes so badly shot?
>buyer tastes a tiny bit of "the goods" because he's such a fucking pro an knows what good quality tastes like
Try and name an edgier character
Started to watch Longmire and it's not bad, Not great either but no reason to drop it. I'm on episode 4 and it's another murder in a small American town, Seems unlikely, When does it switch it up?
>its a small town in the west cop show
>willie nelson starts playing
Why did they CGI her head like that?
So you're going to post this ever day now for the next 5 mothers and hope this becomes a 'MEME'?
I just want to warn you that's now how you make a meme m8, and the other people that do that either get paid or know what their doing.
In the last week we had some great threads about different genres of movies. But mostly those threads were comfy. Let us keep that going with another topic. What are some good incest movies.
Starting with Blue Lagoon, the one with Brooke Shields not the one with Mila Jovovich
>"Maybe... who am I to judge?"
I understand Marvel loves its quips, but isn't this supposed to be a tense scene? How long does this go on?
>"No, I mean my name is Strange..."
>"Yes, I believe we've covered that already."
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>i heard you talk to fish
>i'm real when it's useful
>i need friends
>can i keep this?
That's just the teaser trailer. But let's pretend wifi and names are a really huge cinematic problem.
Katheryn Winnick, just googled her and she has a million followers. Am I that out of touch? Is she really that big of a star? Ive seen actors with more screen time and movie presence have less social followings.
Anyone else like this?
I mean it wasn't great or anything but it was good enough.
We don't have enough scifi horror that isn't complete shit. Hopefully Covenant will be good.
>End credits for a CGI kid's movie
>The characters have their own "blooper reel" showing them screwing up their lines and laughing with the crew
>It is a strange fate that we should suffer so much fear and doubt over so small a thing... Such a little thing.
Just saw this, It was like looking into a slimmer mirror. Thoughts on this and some films like it?
if you thought that was a mild reflection of you, read the fucking book and be prepared to want to douse yourself in fuel and light a match
the book is like the film but a million times better, and i will admit that the film is a super good adaptation despite skipping or glossing over certain material
i tend to read the book over again around christmas anymore, it really helps fuck off the cheery bullshit atmosphere desu
> tfw too dumb to watch this movie
Look what you did, /tv/. Herzog is literally a meme.
>Never mind that Herzog has taken to the eccentricities of the Internet with the same interest as he has approached the infinite ridiculousness of actual life. It bears repeating here that Herzog has collaborated in the meme culture around him totally of his own volition.
>hmmm this looks like it could be interesting... I like Herzog
>Academic discussion of memes
Why do people writing about films always try and quantify and contrast everything?
If a film is a success cinematically it should transcend verbal expression because it's meaning is so idiopathic as to not be capable of perfect translation into any other medium
I think Werner Herzog makes interesting documentaries because he's so fucking smart. You can tell the people around him think nothing of wrestling or pop culture but as soon as he starts talking about them, they stop and go 'that actually makes sense'.
Herzog sees the obvious that some how is not obvious to others around him.
>Rapunzel literally looks like my high school crush
