ITT: Best TV Interviews/Moments
i wish there was a tape of his appearance with william f buckley on the dinah shore show. she also destroyed a tape of a tony clifton appearance where he dumped a bowl of eggs on her.
Here it is
The superior Norm moment:
Post some Tim and Eric ones. There was one at some Hollywood party where they were over acting like hollywood shitters.
amstell as host provided the most memorable moments on the show though. lamarr was a better overall host but for unscripted shambolic chaos, amstell was king.
preston being a faggot:
the episode with donny tourette is goat telly:
When I got out, I was in that. I was already through that, I had that. I had the studio. I went to the studio. I went to Fox studios. I had it all, and I looked at it and said, This is a bigger jail than I just got out of.
I don't want to take my time going to work. I got a motorcycle and a sleeping bag and ten or fifteen girls. What the hell I wanna go off into and go to work for?
Work for what, money? I got all the money in the world. I'm the king, man. I run the underworld, guy. I decide whos does what and where they do it at. What am I gonna run around and act like I'm some teenybopper somewhere, for somebody else's money?
I make the money, man. I roll the nickels
The game is mine.
I deal the cards.
>HI IM /tv/ JON DORE
> However, in 2014 Zmuda and Lynne Margulies, Kaufman’s girlfriend at the time of his death, co-authored a book entitled Andy Kaufman: The Truth, Finally, which states that Kaufman's death was indeed a prank. Zmuda says that Kaufman is still alive and that Kaufman would soon be revealing himself as his upper limit on the "prank" was thirty years.
>No entry of his death in the Social Security Death Index
>His brother Michael Kaufman later agreed it seemed like a hoax, though he claimed he had been duped and not involved in planning it.
The fuck is going on?
theres a lot of lost/hard to find shows out there. the tonight show tapes were wiped as well as many other shows from the 60's. there are many things i want to see, biff rose performing "molly" on the tonight show for one. it use to be sam cooke, but apparently it was a false rumor that he sang "a change is gonna come".
I honestly couldn't tell if they were being serious for a while
andy on bongos
what kind of fucking humor is this holy god
I'm totally confident that no one will think it'd be pretentious of me to say that Kaufman really fucking topped comedy, and no one has been able to come close since.
You just don't see shit like this anywhere else.
To be honest, that was a real fucking dick move from the reporter.
Wouldn't even call it gotcha-journalism, just a real fucking dick move.
I'd say it's the way he goes balls fucking deep in character, and literally has no dignity at all selling out others when he turns shit around and says it was all an act after genuinely infuriating the everliving shit out of people.
He's literally the best troll ever.
I love there's no punchline in his humor
it's just out there, like an exposed nerve
