A timeless masterpiece of cinema
The messiah walks among us as David Lynch
It will live on forever through time and space
Loved the first half, the suspense was masterful. Fell apart into a youtubepoop shitshow during the entire second half.
A disappointment in Lynch's catalog overall. Mullholland Dr is the magnum opus tbh
I remember watching this when I was seven. I can't describe the fear I felt for weeks thereafter. From then on every time I watched a cartoon I couldn't help but think that when not on screen, these characters were living in some form of purgatory. Not sure why that's what I took from it because watching it again I know my interpretation was way off.
Felt like seven or eight different first drafts shoehorned into one movie. Laura Dern deserved an Oscar. And that fucking scene near the start with Grace Zabriskie is one of the most unsettling things I've ever watched. Still don't know why.
