So, what happened between Varrick and Zhu Li's wedding and Korra and Asami going to the Spirit World? Did they kiss? GO on a few dates? Have sex? Confirm they were on the same page?
I have absolutely been enjoying all these threads. Got up on the tail end of the hype train since I didn't want to be spoiled from a /co/ thread or anything.
They knew. Whoever made pic related knew.
You know, with regards to how much development there was, I have some thoughts. I'm not sure that they were really doing this on purpose given there penchant for romance, but the development of korrasami was actually in many ways a very accurate telling of how two people can come to be in their first gay/lesbian relationship. Like often times its a friend with whom you just get closer and closer and only after a while do you both realise that what you feel for eachother is different, often with minimal fireworks. This is exactly how it was with my sister's first girlfriend, they were just increasingly good friends for more than two years before they realised they were mad gay for eachother, and both are still gay many years later.
>tl/dr korrasami good
I was so excited when this happened, I grabbed pic related and was like, "can't wait to go to /u/ and overanalyse the shit out of this." Then... well, you know what happened next.
Same here, I was overjoyed when this scene began. Thought that this would be more than enough to produce awesome fanfics and fanart. Then the actual ending came and I just sat there with completely blown away.
>can't wait to go to /u/ and overanalyse the shit out of this.
>tfw it happened
I didn't know it was possible to feel the color gold. But I felt it. I need to figure out the Korrasami tag for Pixiv so I can just be happy looking at the nip art renditions.
/m/ here, just watched the finale and came here to eat some crow. I may have said, mostly on IRC or in meatspace, that a few Korrasami shippers I knew were delusional or grasping at straws.
Evidently, I was wrong. Congratulations on winning for once; we may have had our differences, but you people deserve a win every once in a while.
It would be interesting to see the pre-tweak ending. It was always clearly going to imply implications, but it might have ended up like the Jet situation in AtLA; he obviously died, but the presentation was so unclear and censored you didn't really feel the effect of it. At least this version of the ending managed to be emotionally satisfying even without a kiss.
That's big of you, /m/ate.
>even without a kiss.
I hate that people insist on that. Based off their interactions throughout the series, I think that caring look they give each other is beautiful. It's a sign of mutual understanding. You don't need to kiss or have sex with someone to love them. It's a display of affection, that's it.
People who insist on the kiss must simply be in denial or think that's the one true way of someone being interested.
Insisting on a kiss is just a nice way of staying in a river in Egypt for as long as they want, even when you get things like Michael posting Korrasami articles on Facebook.
If it was Mako, everyone would be talking about how Makorra won.
By Chloé of Go Get A Roomie and that Kigo comic.
I like to think he's happy for his exes.
Speaking for myself, I'm still too blown away to just sit down calmly and write some fanfic.
Doesn't help that the fanartists are keeping busy.
I guess you can go with just Korrasami and click on the tags used in the works it gives you.
Speaking as a /m/echanic myself, /m/ is very split on a lot of things. There are some guys on /m/ who really dislike /u/; the board is pretty heterogeneous. The only thing /m/ agrees on is JUSTICE.
I am in doubt, the background clearly resembles the BI pride flag. But not the yellow gateway in the middle, which would be more towards the pansexual pride flag, except that this cannot be since the colors are not nearly bright enough for that.
So how do you guys read that scene?
I read it as a confirmation of gayness, of course, but I bet the vacation was super awkward for half of it. They probably let go of their hands and blushed, then had fun friend adventures, then finally had one big sweaty tumble after the tension got too high
Nah, their comfort with each other seemed too good. They probably kissed right after the end, smiled and then continued going. No need to discuss such "small" things like kissing, pussy eating or tribadism after you've saved the fucking world like 4 fucking times in a row together.
>the bi pride flag
Im willing to give bryke a lot of the benefit of the doubt for making this ship work, and Im happy that it happened. But trying to say things like that just feels like social progressives reaching for anything they can to make it more than it is. We should be happy that Asami won the korrabowl and that they're going to be happily in lesbians with each other in the spirit world for some time. Not needlessly drudging up unnecessary politics with symbolism that isn't there.
Things may be difficult to figure out at first. After all, two locks cannot open each other. But just as the beautiful hibiscus blooms every morning, so too, must you be relentless and steadfast in your coming together. Now is your time avatar,
>the adventures of korra&asami in the spirit world
>wacky fights with spirits and such
>having tea time with Iroh and spirit friends
>asami brushing her leg againt korra's privates under the table
>korra having to excuse her self with a blushed face because she cant control her moans
Just one of those days in the spirit world.
Like it or not, this is a pretty big thing that shows how far American society has come and will likely be remembered in television history. No need to downplay all that just because tumblr is annoying.
Besides, it does kind of look like the bi pride flag. I have no idea if it's intentional, but if it is, I'd see it largely as a puckish joke along with an extra bit of confirmation.
It's kinda missing the lavender in the center so it's probably not intentional and more of the color palette associated with both Asami and Korra.
Speaking of which, Asami's red is deeper than the red on the bi flag.
Wonder what kind of reaction would there've been if Aang stepped out holding hands with Zuko...
>not /h/ or /co/
Come on, if you're gonna go all the way at least use a proper board. Altogether it's unneeded, since we're not being real snide about it. We're more surprised than anything.
I'm leaning towards not intentional too, but I'm not surprised some people were reminded of the flag.
My first thought was, "Why would a waterbender have more skill with a shotgun than any other kind of person? Surely a non-bender would probably know more about weapons than a bender would?"
Then I thought, "Well, the waterbender would be able to manipulate the water to keep the targets still."
But after that came, "Wait they'd have to use their hands to manipulate the water, so they would be able to hold and use the shotgun if the did that."
Followed by, "Unless they could waterbend with their face. But then they'd have to be a Master, not just any old waterbender."
And then I decided I had officially thought too much about this simple joke.
As good as it feels to win, I wish they had been less ambiguous about their relationship.
I know this is a Y7 show in America, but even Canadian daytime tween shows can clearly state that a character is gay.
The only way and the best way.
Still taken by the similarities to this old Dofus commission.
>We'll never see a Korrasami version of the first panel.
>tfw I'll never understand homos, or straight people
As long as it feels good it should be fine, right? It's like being gay for Solid Snake. Everyone is gay for Solid Snake, but you don't need to be a specific orientation to like him.
Well its more about what people like. Im bi as well but Im attracted to feminine qualities, which is why I like traps with wide hips and fat asses and
feminine dicksFor some people it might be about doing just what feels good but it can get a bit more nuanced on a case to case basis. This goes for straight and homo.
I want a comic or Iroh and Zaheer holding a cake on the other side of the portal that says "Congrats on the ____"
I don't know what to put in the blank. I just want Iroh smiling and Zaheer scowling.
That speaks to your own flaws namely your inability to empathize with those who are different from you and a rather childish view of love and sexuality.
But this is off topic so meh.
Kuvira was just too straight for her own good.
imagine if Korra still had her long hair and it was also down and messy like in book 2?
>That speaks to your own flaws namely your inability to empathize with those who are different from you and a rather childish view of love and sexuality.
>a rather childish view of love and sexuality.
off to >>/lgbt/ with you.
>I want to see her re-unite properly with Bataar.
She just tried to kill him tho. Kuvira is power-sexual. She only loves the conquest, the empire uniting, giant mechas, and spirit vines nukes
>I want to see her re-unite properly with Bataar.
Bataar was her tool. She liked him, but I think she had a bigger boner for his mom. Oh and Tonraq.
Yeah, Kuvira should have admitted that she had sex with Korra's dad that one time. That would have probably thrown her off her balance.
>I want to see her re-unite properly with Bataar.
I want her to become cellmates with Zaheer where they keep arguing about their political and philosophical differences while slowly falling in love with each other in a very tsundere way.
I think everybody everywhere has forgotten everything except that Korra and Asami walked off into the Spirit Portal together?
I mean, remember that giant mech that threatened the whole city for like two and a half episodes? I sure don't.
I vividly remember how they wasted 10 fucking minutes of the episode splashing paint on the glass of the mecha, which ultimately led to nothing at all because it had a built-in cleaning system. Thanks Meelo. Brillian plan.
the paint was a waste of time. It let the beifongs and bolin try and wrap up the feet of the Colossus and try to trip it. That of course failed because Wing and Wei didn't wrap enough wire.
>Fuck the nonbenders!
Korra certainly intends to with at least one of them.
I'd rather just post some adorable Korrasami.
I loved her go get a roomie comic until it just flat lost direction and dropped a plot to get a timeskip. Maybe it was a necessary journey but if that is so then it needed to be shown. I'm done, everyone enjoy your lesbians.
kyhu does some fantastic stuff.
Nice blog post
Kyhu's nsfw Korrasami art helped me realize that deep inside Korra there's a hardcore sub begging to be dominated by a hot older woman like Asami.
Thats because she isn't a lesbo. She's bi.
There are still multiple /co/ threads being made in frustration
I love it
The butthurt engines will have fuel for a long time.
Speaking for us, I mean its great and all that it is at the very least highly irregular to have a heroine in a /u/ ship, but we're more excited because we all liked this show and are happy that it went our way. We are more just happy about korrasami than concerned with social trends. You'd have to ask other boards why they give a shit. I think I'm going to head over to /co/ right now if you want to join me
>obligatory 'sweet, delicious tears'
Because it's unexpected. Like the time when Kirino won Oreimo (an anime). No one thought the author had the guts to pair up a sister and brother on such a popular TV show. There were lots of spillover, "holy shit" threads.
You should have seen the season 1 finale.
Well, obviously there is disagreement here so this is just my opinion, but....
I seriously question whether anyone who says that actually watched the show. In the book 3 finale it was pretty much explicit.
Well, see, there you are highlighting the difference between two schools of thought on /u/. One would say that if the ONLY thing required to make a full rounded romance plot were a kiss at the end, then in fact you already have a very explicit cannon ship. Others, in my opinion, are a bit too focused on the idea that a kiss makes things official.
It was basically exactly as explicit as AnR, which in my opinion is more than adequate.
I'm not a fan of the writing style, but this person gives a pretty good rundown up to the half-point of season four: http://rcnano13.tumblr.com/post/102741250059/even-after-all-these-years-episode-7-reunion
There was buildup ever since the beginning of Season 3 where Korra and Asami talked about what a terrible boyfriend Mako was and decide to hang out together more often.
It's just that... if one automatically assumes that all fictional characters are straight, it's easy to see the buildup as building up to them just being good friends as opposed to building up to becoming a couple. And so when Korra and Asami do become a couple it seems to come out of the blue because all the buildup towards it didn't register as such.
It's like wearing the opposite of yuri goggles. Het goggles.
Oh come on. There were advertisements for the show plastered all over Tokyo. There were even Oreimo trains and Oreimo nuclear safety badges. NUCLEAR SAFETY BADGES, I tell you.
It was no doujin. I don't know about you, but I never thought Kirino had a chance, considering the publicity the show had.
Imagine if Korra ended with her marrying her dad or something. That's how WTF it was.
I prefer Korralin.
And it's a pretty cute ship.
But for some reason the authors seemed to have this weird vendetta against Lin.
Every season she's a part of she has to swallow her pride and beg forgiveness of somebody that SCREWED HER OVER.
First Tenzin, then Suyin, then Toph.
Which threads? The /co/ threads? Go into the archive and look for the ridiculously extended threads.
/u/ threads? Just follow the previous links in the OP to the past two/three threads.
Actually, you're doing the equivalent of marching to /co/ and announcing that all comics are about spandex wearing fascist homosexuals.
No yuri manga or anime made today or the last decade would imply the characters are going through a phase, even if the leads are schoolgirls. On the contrary, they are usually suggested to have a long relationship together. The Japanese yuri fandom loves that stuff. There's also plenty of manga with romantic yuri incest.
I find it more miraculous how many times things could have gone differently:
Asami could have gone evil in Season 1
Mako and Korra could have gotten back together for good in Season 2
There could have been no development for at least the friendship in Season 3 & 4
And finally the ending, where some people in the show claimed they had no idea, meaning it was changed in the last minute
And yet here we are
It'll be interesting to hear what Bryke have to say once they stop being all coy. Korrasami obviously wasn't planned since the beginning, but could it have been in the cards when they wrote season two?
>each of them standing in front of one beam of the double helix
That strikes me as some kind of symbolism, but the events of the last few days have embedded my goggles into my cornea.
They're both pregnant with the other's babby, but instead of them having HLS to achieve the result in the spirit world. Bryke decided to make them stand in front of the portal with the dna imagery.
Mods a have been a little touchy as of late. Deleting posts that don't aline with the general attitude on a board may shut down arguments, but it isn't okay if said posts were still discussing the board and thread topics in a non trolling fashion, since that isn't breaking the rules of the board. Hell, I feel like I'm sticking my neck out just to say this, while you're probably going to fine, despite posting a similarly themed post in an opposite light. Have a Korrasami pic to keep this somewhat thread related.
I hate to say it but do we really have a choice though? I mean this is one of the only boards that lets us talk and post about western topics and porn.
They could still easily just just "lol fk u m8" and sweep all this shit under the rug.
I held off on LoK for a long time and finally started it, even though I followed ATLA when it aired. I've put my goggles on full blast for each scene they're in together and I have to say, the subtext is all there and "buildup" is of course subtle. Subtle and sort of gentle; their relationship just has this natural progression to it - even in the finale (which was a big gay explosion) it still kept the subtle character to it.
"Came out of nowhere" isn't accurate. You just need to pay attention to how they interact over the years and it becomes clear that they were steadily falling in love with each other. And it's perfect.
People on other boards deal with different opinions without relying on mods to support their arguments all the time. It's seen as a normal thing. The side with the home field advantage always wins anyway.
It's more than that, look at what happened earlier when that guy asked about a futa doujin involving Asami and Korra.
I think it had more to do with the guy being intentionally inflammatory since the RWBy threads have loads of arguments that often get resolved without mods.
waiting for the porn of Korra using water bending to make a double dick to get Asami in both holes at once. Then Asami getting Korra back with a Future Industry's vibrating platinum strap on.
Its the personality, and height.
Korra's the shorter wannabe tough tomboy with issues inside, while Asami is the taller girly-girl with a strong core (especially if you remember all her hardships)
The problem is that Bryke forced a love triangle and tried to resolve it in one season since they thought this was supposed to be a one time thing
This basically resulted to an awkward falling out in which only Asami came out with a good image
Who /justhappyforkorra/ here?
I couldn't care about her being a lesbian but seeing her happy at the end of the series was the best feeling.
Yeah I'm mostly happy for asami getting to win. The whole "losing my dad was hard but it'd been worse without you around" and then she GETS korra. She gets her supportive friend as now her spirit-world traveling love, a resolve to her shitty father, a company rolling in it entirely hers. I want an Asami spin off.
I can only see half of if it because of deletions, lol. Anyway, I'm just saying that if a post isn't breaking any rules, it shouldn't be deleted on account of it not fitting in. Let the people of the board deal with it. Futa clearly isn't yuri, but discussing whether characters are yuri seems to be on topic enough.
The posts you are referring to were by someone who admitted he hadn't seen the episodes yet continued to insist Korra and Asami couldn't be gay because this is a children's show. There's not much point in talking to someone like that.
actually, there has been discussions before(not here, but on other sites like gelbooru) whether futa is considered yuri or not.
After all, they are two girls, just two girls who happened to have penises.
In the end no one will be satisfied with such a pointless discussion and thus the mods will try to avoid any of that in the first place by keeping everything to just the main topic
even though mods on /u/ are more flexible than one might think. For example they allow western cartoons occasionally(like this avatar thread) or occasional reallife threads. Even though strictly speaking both are not allowed on /u/ if we talk about 4chans main rules
Boob grabbing is a fetish? I thought it was just common sense.
Canada has also had legalized, country-wide, same-sex marriage since *2005*. We're currently sitting at 34 of 50 states where it's legal, and I don't expect to see an actual country-wide law passed for at LEAST a decade. The USA is still a very homophobic country.
I don't really see how there's a point in a deletion with a possible ban, either. Mods shouldn't punish people for having a contrary opinion. Random people, sure. But mods? They should only punish people based on rule violations, not uniformed opinions. That's my view, anyway. I'll drop it now, since this is hardly on topic in itself. More korrasami pics, please!
There will never be a national law. It isn't in national power to rule over marriage. States have that power and they issue the marriage cert/license. Federally gay marriage is already recognized. If you want something at the national level. Then you will have to get an amendment to the constitution. In fact I'm wondering how it isn't legal in all 50 states at the moment. The Supreme Court has already ruled against anti gay marriage laws and anti gay marriage constitution amendments. So all the states should have to be complying.
The Supreme Court has never gone far enough as to make it global, though; they have specifically AVOIDED a general ruling for fear of political backlash, and because in general circuit courts have agreed that it is unconstitutional to ban same-sex marriage.
With a recent circuit court ruling going AGAINST that trend for the first time, the constitutionality issue may very well be headed to the Supremes sometime next year.
There are things that are great to argue about, I mean thats what boards like this are for. However, some things, its just not the place. Arguing about the suggestion that every yuri ship from Japan is a juvenile lie, for instance, would be pretty starkly against the culture of this board.
Nah, we are /u/sed to it by now. Part of the reason the reaction over here was so POSITIVE is that the best we were hoping for was Korra staying single.
>>1644504 was me; as a followup, recommending a read of http://www.scotusblog.com/2014/11/sixth-circuit-the-split-on-same-sex-marriage/ for those interested in the marriage debate.
No. Between the drastically lower population between the boards and the fact that /u/ was merely hoping for avoiding a toxic relationship, I'd say /u/ would simply resume normal operating procedure of "what non-canon lesbian fan-art/-fics do you like pertaining to X" instead of "IT'S CANON".
Would they get hung up on the fact that there's some things you never get used to, or could they see past that and accept that everybody's got the right to love? After all, things are changing.
>mah member of the race responsible for classic R&B
Okay, I will stop.
In the name of love.
that was the last one from me I promise
Supreme Court justices are appointed by the then-president for life.
And really, /u/ guys have nothing to fear about the Roberts court ruling against gay marriage. The Court quite clearly wants to avoid the issue as much as possible, and any ruling they do make will be as narrow as possible, but they aren't going to uphold any ban on gay marriage.
Depends really. If they can get it all legal and set in stone before 2016. Bah...this ain't /pol/
Korra's eyes are the wrong color in that image.
Also it doesn't matter 2016 or not. Supreme Court is for life or until they are removed by a vote from the rest of the government. So they don't really have to care who is in congress or the white house.
Glad to see the discussion is still going.
If the GOP puts in new nominees in their let's-be-honest-pretty-fucking-likely presidential term in 2016, though, things could get worse.
Once the ruling is made, I doubt they can easily reverse it, though. Fingers crossed for some time next year.
anyway this is /u/ not /scotus/, so let us get back to the couple of the hour
Indeed...I have to wonder with Korrasmi canon, if this will pave the way for other animated shows as well. Sure Anime has Yuri in spades, but its cool seeing a NA show taking the plunge.
>the hype will have died down
It already has, for the most part. I think there are just four or five /u/nicorns left in this thread right now.
I for one still await any and all fancomics, of course.
I hope it paves the way for more western shows to have action and romance, but the romance take a far back seat. And that characters form relationships based on compatibility, not just convenience of "you are the two main characters of opposite gender".
As much as I like fluffy cute-girls-dating-cute-girls anime, I really think I'd rather the attitude taken in the west be "these characters work well together and they just so happen to be (het/homo/bi)". And maybe the occasional nod to "I'm just not into guys/girls/anyone" if writers want to shut down a relationship that isn't going anywhere. Make a fictional character's sexuality unremarkable.
I hope they choose to continue with the series, be it comics or actually animated. Not sure if Nick would like having Korrasami being a thing though. That being said, I'm sure other channels would love to have the Avatar brand, Korrasami and all.
To my knowledge Nick seems to be washing their hands of Legend of Korra so a chance at a continuation of the animated series is basically nonexistent.
I would say that there's a decent chance of comics though.
It didn't perform well by the metrics they use to measure such things. They were done with it some time during Season 2 but they had already ordered 3 and 4 so they just kinda gave up.
Constant time slot changes, no advertising at all for Season 3, the eventual move to online. They just wanted to be done with it. Which honestly might be how Bryke managed to snag this ending. They knew whatever they did their run was over, I think they were peacing out from Nick anyway, might as well go out with a bang eh?
Even the fact that it was added in so late in the production cycle, smells like subterfuge.
Not something I use to do, but I did watch a few too.
A few things I got out of this is enjoyment at the thought of all Makorra shippers or anti-Korrasami people that recorded their own reaction without having the guts to post it, that some people shouldn't do reaction videos because they have no reactions at all, that others take it to hysteria levels and that for some people Korra was made much better than it really was. I found it awkward when nothing else but Korrasami seemed to matters to them.
But most of all, I smiled when I thought about how happy some lesbians must be. ATLA has what, 10 years? There has to be lesbians for who ATLA was the cartoon of their childhood so it must feel really great for them that it ended that way, just this once.
I wish I had a board appropriate "ow the edge" reaction image for this.
If anything, Korra will live LONGER, because Aang ended up dying relatively young for an Avatar because his body got worn out from staying in the Avatar State in that iceberg for 100 years.
Knowing Asami's luck, Korra will die at like 35 for some reason, leaving her a miserable loner.
Well that seems stupid. If you had to go for a sad ending I would be more for the poison staying in her body for so long did permanant damage to her organs and made her body deteriorate at a much faster rate. Korra knows this which is why she goes y/u/ri end with asami so she could spend her limited time left in happiness with someone she truly loved. Its bittersweet and way more appropriate than her getting shanked in an alley for no reason.
60 isn't old especially as far as Avatars are concerned.
Also I doubt Korra will die a natural death.
But it won't be murder or anything.
Just someday her haphazard stupidity will catch up to her and she'll crack her skull cliff diving or something.
Yeah definitely. You know kind of like flipping Nick the bird and cause quite an uproar with an ending like that.
I wonder what the hotshots of Nick actually think of the media coverage of the ending.
I wonder how many of those little lesbians were already upset about poor Azula getting shafted.
Here's an imae from a strange alternate timeline where ASAMI WAS THE ONE WHO CUT HER HAIR!
>Did korrasami come from the blue, or was there buildup?
It could have been done much better. Honestly, Korra and Asami just needed to have a few worried reaction shots for each other during the finale and it would have felt more organic.
Much like many other aspects of LoK, their romance suffered form there not being a lot of dead space in the plot for character moments like there was in ATLA.
Yeah, I believe Season 2 got moved to the Friday Night Death Slot.
There was build-up in the sense that you bought them as very close though not exactly romantic.
I guess part of the problem is that they never really interacted until halfway through the entire goddamn show.
But then they put in a lot of significant scenes like:
>goofing off in the car
>Asami as sparing partner and confidant
>the gay polarbeardog ride with Asami cradling an unconscious Korra
>prison buddies and escaping the desert together
>Asami looking ultra worried when Korra was dying (while Mako looked stoned due to some animation error)
>Asami being Korra's caretaker
>blushing at the reunion
>Korra having her clipshow at Asami
I think there's a basis there.
The thing that kinda bugs me about it, is that Korra is super-passive. It's always Asami that comes to her and tries to help her, making the entire thing seem very one-sided.
I guess Korra was never good at expressing her feelings, but she needed to do something for Asami at some point and I really can't remember anything.
But maybe that's just how Bryke writes romance. Makorra was strangely similar, with Korra hounding Mako for his attention who was completely unreceptive, then maturing past it, only to have Mako hounding her, their roles reversed.
It's like one person always has to be the prize.
Korra was the one who asked Asami to take a vacation with her at the very end. That was the critical first move. Unless they were already together by then.
They sorta were. Like I don't think there's a moment where they suddenly graduate from just friends.
I think they were aware of each others' feelings, but that conversation after the wedding was the real turning point. Korra apologized to Asami personally for being gone so long, and Asami put Korra on the same level as her father.
Well, the thing is that nobody in the world wanted Bryke to ever focus any time on romance EVER again.
So they didn't.
I'm not gonna bitch about this, because they would have found some way to fuck up Korrasami too.
>there will never be a sequel where Future Industries is the Avatar's equivalent of the Speedwagon Foundation
I wonder how fast the next thread is going to reach its bump limit. It's been three days. Surely things'll be slowing down a bit.
just keep bumping with cute pictures.
Except it's not bumping because we've reached the limit.
it's the power of the canon, tumblr is exploding too
Well, Asami constantly had people being taken away from her, so its understandable she's a bit forward in making bonds with others
So once it became clear Korra is a good person to be at least friends with, Asami really jumped at her once the love traingle is resolved
She can take breaks from banging spirit Asami. I doubt all those former Avatars were standing in line the entire fucking time when Aang was fooling around with his bison, waiting to be called when the lil' shit ran into another problem.
Kyoshi gets called by Aang: "Fuck, okay, this will be fast babe, I'll just tell the air fag to kill the fire fag and be right back."
Kyoshi marches out from her spirit house to give Aang advice he didn't listen anyways, leaving behind panting Avatar Yangcheng, her pussy dripping wet from Kyoshi's skillful fingers
Raava passes on to next Avatar, taking her connection with Korra with her and passing it on whoever's next. Korra's spirit itself... Well, let's just say that if the next Avatar happens to call on her, he or she should maybe cough politely first or something lest they come face to face with the spirit of Korra going down on the spirit of Asami.
>come back from almost two days of no Internet
>Korra threads still going strong
a good feeling
Screencapped >>1644539 and co. for my collection of silly 4chan shit, if anyone else wants it.
It seems more like the power is passed down, but the previous Avatar's memories (call it data) remain in separate file. Avatar is same hardware/software used over and over in new model, while the data is copied over and over into the big spirit system or some shit. So Vaatu simply disconnected all other external harddrives with the other Avatar programs.
Korra is her on .exe going down on Asami.exe.
I haven't watched LoK and I'd like to watch it for the Korrasami, is it really like /co/ says that it came out of nowhere, or was there really some build up and development before it happened?
Sorry /u/, but my personal headcanon for any lesbian pairing is that they had sex with a guy at least once in their life. That helps me believe that they have satisfied their natural curiousity about dicks and can now focus entirely on their newfound yuri love without ever having to wonder if they missed out on something.
They were both what, 19 when they went out with him? They probably did have sex.
I'm surprised there wasn't really any sex this time around, though. AtLA didn't mind heavily implying its characters were fucking, even though they were a bit younger. Korra is a much chaster show.
Never trust /co/. There was plenty of build-up.
16 and Asami barely dated him long enough for me to consider her sleeping with him as I'm certain Asami isn't that easy and given how makkora turned out in S2, I'm uncertain if they fucked either.
It's not like they're random pro bending fans or anything.
>Implying that Korra and Asami got Mako naked on two separate occasions, saw his junk, and then promptly ruined the mood by laughing themselves silly.
If you wanna go with ridiculous, you should play it up.
No, in season one korra was 17, Asami was 18, season two Korra was 18, Asami was 19, season three they were the same ages, and in season four, Korra was 21, and Asami was 22. When Korra dated Mako she was 17-18 years old.
Asami was with Mako long enough that sleeping together would have been reasonable. If they didn't, it was probably due to Asami being a lesbian who hadn't figured her preferences out yet and Mako being too much of a gentlemen to pressure her. Which is definitely possible.
But Korra and Mako almost certainly did it.
Okay /co/, you'll just have to forgive us since we're so used to following /a/'s standards where rape is the same as saying hello. So forgive us if we expect older teens and or adults to do adult stuff.
I just did and I regret nothing, enjoyed it a lot more that I thought I would given it's reputation.
The show seemed more ready to take on mature subjects than it's predecessor and that didn't always work but I admired them for doing it.
I like how it's laos telling that Asami apparently didn't date anyone during the time Korra was away. You can only be SO busy when running a corp and she would have to at least have been at high-society parties to make some dosh with potential contracts and well meet your peers and maybe hit it off.
I mean specifically with kids' shows it might actually do some good beyond 'holy crap it's canon.' Like, imagine this 10-year-old starting to get crushes, and she's getting a crush on one of her girl friends (I'm a dude, and when this happened to me with a guy friend during I swear to fucking god a shirtless pillow fight). And she feels weird about it and she's not sure who to go to 'cause her town is like that. And she sees this ending. I mean, that might seriously help her out in terms of not spending her adolescence repressed and unhappy.
Oh that is definitely a good thing, in the sense and the comment was more about tumbleh saying it wasn't just a lesbian/bi win...it was a interracial lesbian/bi win. Can make one scratch the head since I thought for the most part interracial wasn't a problem anymore...Then again, those water tribe traditionalists are sticklers and they probably wouldn't approve of a pure bred fire nation girl to get with water tribe avatar.
Or it could give her the unrealistic expectation that her feelings would be automatically requited. Thats the problem with bringing politics into this and the ambiguous, subtle nature of the way the relationship was built up in this episode. Alot of the buildup could just as easily be misinterpreted as being good friends so she shouldn't be looking towards this as a model for her happiness. Plus alot of her happiness and potential repression will be determined by the people around her and not the shows she watches.
So enjoy the /u/ and stop trying to make this more than it needs to be.
hahaha oh my god I completely forgot about that. Thanks anon.
>Plus alot of her happiness and potential repression will be determined by the people around her and not the shows she watches.
But having examples in media matters. If every character in media is ramrod straight, it further enforces the notion that heterosexuality is "normal" and everything else is "weird". Watching two ladies walk off into the sunset can be a source of optimism, which a lot of younger gay kids need.
Korra's excited by the prospect of trying all this stuff out on Asami, Asami's already considering improvements that will eventually lead her to invent the Avatarverse equivalent of the Hitachi magic wand.
The flannel just looked shitty in that picture, the style of it, and tucked in to her pants and all. We all know flannel can be hot as fuck if worn right, on the right person, even at a club. I don't like how small the square pattern is on that shirt either.
Sure it could help.and gay relationships being represented can matter, but if she is surrounded by homophobes it would all amount to nothing and she wouldn't be any happier or less repressed. The optimism needs to come from people, not cartoons, to matter. Art reflects society, not the other way around.
It's not just cut-and-dry "surrounded by homophobic assholes" or "perfectly accepting family", though; a lot of people are somewhere in the middle, and representation does help.
I'm not saying it's some kind of revolutionary social shift, just that it might help someone, somewhere to see something like this ending.
Well, we can't argue about Korrasami is going to be canon or not because we know.
So what else is there to talk about?
Although, when Asami built a new park for Republic City, she made sure to include a statue of Korra. I wonder... now that Republic City needs to be rebuilt yet again if perhaps Korra will convince Asami to update the statue's design.
I guess so. Sorry, Im just so tired of all the people hailing this as the best thing ever and a shining beacon of social progress that will take us out of the dark ages and is beyond reproach. I couldn't even enjoy an actual y/u/ri end after so many disappointments for long before people started on it.
I know every little bit helps but its just so incredibly frustrating to see every little thing instantly turned into some political battleground. We cant just be happy or satisfied, theres always gotta be some sort of world changing message to pull out of it.
>So what else is there to talk about?
The exact identities of Korra and Asami as lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, genderqueer, etc. and whether calling them lesbians is bi erasure.
but let's not talk about that.
And now that Korra did a fairly high profile if subtle gay love story in a children's show, it'll be easier for the next showrunner. I bet Pendleton Ward is paying close attention, for instance.
>easier for the next showrunner
>implying they won't pull the same last 15 second shot and ride the wave of glory
If anything Bryke just showed how easy it is to win a fanbase over in 10 seconds or less.
