>>1835113 >>1835143 It's actually pretty surprising. In almost all porn, the person getting raped either falls in love with their rapist, gets mind broken, or some other ridiculous thing. Doesn't matter if it's yuri or not. Here she just flat out says that the gender didn't matter because she got raped and wasn't cool with that. I'm sure we we all expecting her to just go fuck it and date her anyways at the end.
>>1835533 uh, no, why would i? I think you got something confused there
It started with me claiming she got turned bi
A person replied to me then said regardless of your sexuality, if someone rubbed and licked your pussy it would always feel good
I then replied that that is not true, then even if it is the best sex imaginable, if it is with a gender you don't like you wouldn't like it(even if you orgasm)
The girl in the comic clearly did enjoy it, meaning from my theory above, she would have to be a lesbian/bi to do so. Meaning she is okay with kissing same-gender people.
So where do you think "I don't like guys, but kissing guys is okay" came from?
>>1835551 i...what? Why not? The guys who do that are clearly into guys as well. I mean, if you were to cover up each individual aside for their penises you MAY get away with "i imagine them to be futas underneath the cover, thus i only enjoy penis but not the rest of a man" but obviously that's not what that practice is about.
>>1835583 Not the person you're arguing, but you're wrong: You don't need to "enjoy" be touched to have an orgasm. Having an orgasm feels good, this is one the things that mess up rape victims. They believe that because the had an orgasm, they "enjoyed it" and feel guilty about it. The story doesn't implies anything about her liking girls in any way, the fact that she decided to go back to her "squinting looks" points out more to the opposite.
>>1835595 as i said, even though it is rare, you can get an orgasm even if you don't like it, which obviously is not the case here anyway.
>The story doesn't implies anything about her liking girls in any way I'm sure you also kiss your rapist when he is done with you, even if it is a gender you don't even like. I'm suuure that is something a normal girl would do.
>the fact that she decided to go back to her "squinting looks" points out more to the opposite. No, she just does that because god knows what else she would agree to go out with then next time. She just wants to know before she dates someone what kind of person that is, visually and mentally
Why is everyone so worked up about this? You see spontaneous sex or rape all over yuri doujins, the only difference here is that she realistically rejected her rapist instead of suddenly falling in love or being mindbroken.
>>1842915 >This is the first time in /u/ I heard someone say rape is disappointing. Yuri girl raping straight girl is bad. A guy raping yuri girl straight is also as bad. Yuri girl raping another yuri girl where both end together is ok.
personally I think he wasted a perfectly good plot. even if he didn't want to write somone seriously inspecting their own sexuality,he could have played it for humor by having it be seduction rather than rape, just have the glasses girl spend the entire time freaking out over still being attracted once she realized it was to another girl.
it could have been cute and funny as well as sexy, not the weird thing we she gets raped and brushes it off like its no big deal.
>>1842915 No, I would still think the doujin is retarded. Was it so fucking hard for the tomboy to get the other girl to like girls by simply seducing her ,doing clumsy striptease, being pathetically puppy eyes etc. This? It actually feels like rape yuri genre parody.
>>1843099 >>1843128 If she actually does try to seduce her and still gets rejected (as expected given the ultra-straight girl here) how would you feel? You guys are implying as if not raping will give a different ending. At least here, she gets to actually fuck her once instead of it being a shaggy dog story.
>>1843147 But she doesn't have to get rejected. The author chose to write it that way so he could write the rape scene he wanted. It would have been much better if the 'straight' girl reluctantly accepts and finds out that she's actually really gay.
>>1843151 That's actually a pretty complex issue. The people who like it fall into several categories.
- There are those who agree that it was rape, and actually like it. They find it hot
- There are those who say the scene was ambiguous enough that we can't say for certain that rape occurred (i.e. Shizuru undressing and getting into bed with Natsuki might just have been what Natsuki imagined on hearing the accusation, not actually what happened. Shizuru could have just kissed her for all we know)
- Those who like the pairing despite the fact that there was rape.
I'm probably in the last category. I'd rather it didn't happen (although it certainly showcased just how much Shizuru wanted Natsuki), but I still find their interactions fun enough that I like them. The classy rich lady (who is secretly a yandere lesbian) teasing her straight-laced leather-wearing biker girlfriend (who secretly has a lingerie collection) makes for a fun dynamic.
Just like KLK with Satsuki and Ragyo >Was rape? Yes >Was wrong? Yes >Is Ragyo a very bad person? Yes, she's not even a person anymore >Ragyo took advance from her power on Satsuki? Very yes >Ragyo damaged Satsuki Of course, yes >Was fucking hot? Yes... >Do you want be raped by Ragyo too? Yes T_T
>>1846633 >Some people are making a fuss over something they don't like I really don't believe people when they imply they don't do this. There's no music you think is trash or comedy you think is unfunny or fad you think is stupid?
>>1860458 I believe that not linking something is okay, but I just can't understand the idea to go around and telling people about how much you hate something or another. If I don't like something I ignore it.
>>1835113 protip,. just because you feel pleasure does not mean you enjoyed the experiance. think of being tied to a chair you woke up in, in a dark cellar, and every evening some scary guy with a beard and no pants forces you to eat your favorite food. how do you feel about this?
>>1861137 the guy is creepy. >>1860683 no, it fucking does work as an example you human piece of shit, because we are talking about how someone can feel pleasure and it still being rape and horrible. not the stupid op's manga.
>>1864396 I agree with this anon. As long as you keep it on paper, in your head...in your pants, have all the kinks and desires you want. Being human, you have the pleasure of such things...just refrain from Actually acting on it. Reality is about consent. The imagination is another thing.
>>1873454 And apologized, and kissed her rapist. >More realistic take!
Author was just a complete fuck up with this. You could change the dialogue on the last page to be more about putting it behind them and starting over, slowly and without sex, which would explain the other girl's upset face and it'd make more sense. Still dumb but if you're doing short, light entertainment that's already dumb for most of it, don't try to handbreak turn it into some serious tone at the last minute, and then fail to even commit to that properly either.
Wouldn't even change the last 3 panels since it was still an awkward situation that she'd be pissed at her friends for exploiting and leaving her in, regardless of outcome.
>>1871753 I dunno I personally dont mind a warning of such things especially when they are dropped just in the middle of a story. You are already invested unlike a thread. Most media has warning labels for that. In fact its honestly just the two words "trigger warning" that gets peoples panties so terribly twisted
>>1873493 It's stupid because "bad shit" always happens. Life doesn't come with "trigger warnings" and confronting bad shit head on is one of those things you will have to do, if you want to be a proper human being. Promoting weakness should be a capital offense.
>>1873495 Are you twelve? Most things you buys, even music comes with it. Also I would rather know if shit like rape was in my story so I dont waste an hour on shit. Live has het ends, yet everybody gets angry if something has a het end. Warning people is fine, some people dont want rape, murder, etc. in their free time or sometimes are not in the mood for it. Because you know, you are right? "Real life doesnt have trigger warnings" but when I am trying to engage in my ridiculous escapism trying to be a 10 yr old anime lesbian I dont need "real life". Getting upset over warnings is silly, you can ignore them its notike it actually effects you
>>1873507 The "warnings" you see in music and other related media are more about "content not appropriate for children" that's fine. My beef with "trigger warnings" is that it promotes weakness. If you're fine with reading an adult book about two girls fucking like rabbits, why you shouldn't be able to read one about "bad things" that befall to them?
And, as someone said earlier, if you don't like something just drop it, reading/seen a rape/murder/whatever wouldn't harm you in any way.
>>1873493 Pretty much, I think it's fair. Content warnings and tags are fine and good, that's what they are; clarifying the content. Calling them "triggers" is an inherently stupid tumblr language thing. Unironically adopting stupid things invites stupider people that think they're in good company. Ironically using them for a reaction is just shitposting that invites the same people.
>>1873495 The main caveat is fiction of any form exists to enrich and entertain the consumer, which this doujin kind of failed at by possibly trying to get on a soapbox about some trope. Not what it's for at all, and sure as hell left a failure of a story.
Still, there's a lot of shit out there, so that's why we have things like categories, tags, genres, synopsis, previews, reviews and "contains x" highlights. That's fine, but honestly calling content a "trigger" like people are PTSD victims on the edge that can not only not separate fiction from reality but not be relied on to make an informed decision of what they're looking at is stupid, sure. Let people know what to expect, but treat them like adults, too.
Trigger warnings are only bad because a) they're a completely retarded way to call something that people already do and (b) people bitch about it when they aren't there.
It's fine to put "this work contains X so if that isn't your thing you may not want to read it". It's also entirely fine to not do that. What isn't fine is to act like this "trigger warning" bullshit is as obligatory as allergen warnings.
