After the wait, two new chapters!
Seems like there's going to be two rumors going around after this for Qiu Tong to overhear.
>1: Some dicks from her school went over to Sun Jing's school and beat up some students there
>2: Sun Jing got hurt recently and had to go to the infirmary
Brace for nuclear explosion.
Add in her seeing the interaction with the new girl and I'm sold. Qt obsessing over SJ while fueled by jealousy and determined to do her best seems like something I wouldn't mind having next.
Hope next chapter we're going to see a overly worried QT and maybe finally a confession.
I also really like the fag and his ridiculous height is kind of funny. Would like to see him and SJ become best homo buddies.
It's great how SJ is so alpha when she talks to this girl. She is so confident. And it just shows her dynamic with QT in a whole new light, doesn't it? She could charm the hell out of any girl but with QT she is ain't like that. With QT she has her suave moments but they are either accidental or take a lot more effort because she is too flustered around QT. She is that much in love with her.
She's the quintessential ladykiller - smooth and charming to every woman she comes across...except the one that matters, wherein she becomes next to useless.
Well, we might see it or something like that.
I mean essentially right now QT doesn't realize how easy it is for SJ to score a girl. It'd be interesting to see her reaction when she realizes that. Not just jealousy part but the realization that her position is not as secure as she previously thought
More like three months of
>She's flirts with all those girls so freely, but it's never like that with me. Why am I the only one she's not interested in?
angst. I've read yuri stories before.
Then she pulls back because she doesn't want to force her feelings on someone who's clearly not interested and who she was just misreading the signs from before, which then makes SJ think that QT has realized her feelings and is trying to subtly tell her that SHE'S not interested before she says something that might ruin their friendship and so SHE pulls back, which then makes QT think that SJ has realized HER feelings, and so...
Sun Jing doesn't actually do a whole lot of flirting with QTpie, she mostly flails around like a dork. So QT knows SJ has, at the very least, crush on her. So yeah, she knows SJ is interested.
Again: from what? They've flirted with each other and dropped hints before getting embarrassed - there are signals for them to pick up on, but neither of them "know" anything. Where are you getting the idea that QT is unshakably confident that SJ is into her?
Yeah, what >>1868881 said. That entire house visit basically showcased QT not only realizing that SJ likes her, but teasing/trolling SJ about it. Seriously, did you just not read it or something?
The maidens, who flock to /u/, once again pass through the catalog today yet again with innocent, angelic smiles. Their pure hearts and bodies are sat in front of glowing computer screens. Posting slowly is preferred here. 4chan's /u/, a Garden of Maidens.
I'm sorry about your autism, nee-chan. Also, your reading comprehension. But for the sake of accuracy, it's something that's brought up twice - the first is what triggers the realization. QT almost immediately starts trolling SJ after. The copious facial close-ups (hard to read in your condition, my sympathies again) are a blaring red indicator that some serious thinking is going on, and what else would QT even be thinking in those panels?
Yes - thinking, not knowing. They both have good reasons to think the other is sending off signals or flirting. That's not the same thing as knowing, and it's certainly not something that could reasonably be expected to forestall drama or jealousy through sheer confidence in each other's feelings if that's where the story is going next.
Also, I'm not entirely sure the /v/-level "you're autistic!" sarcasm really adds anything to the discussion.
>how easy it is for SJ to score a girl
It's not like she's shy, or something.
It was probably made by someone else.
The furthest I found was this: http://tw.weibo.com/1629076373/3809567534348134
You'd have to be deliberately obtuse to interpret QT's expressions and actions as unknowing/superficial flirting in response to SJ's very direct question of "do you have someone you like."
>reasonably be expected to forestall drama or jealousy through sheer confidence in each other's feelings if that's where the story is going next.
I'm none of those anons who said they wanted/expected jealousy, but I don't get what that has to do with anything. Jealousy is a one-sided emotion, it's all on whomever is feeling it. And I have no idea where you're getting the whole "there'll be no drama bcuz they already love each other" sentiment. I've posted nothing of the sort. In fact, nobody's mentioned that at all.
>Also, I'm not entirely sure the /v/-level "you're autistic!" sarcasm really adds anything to the discussion.
>thinking that particular bit of sarcasm is only limited to the cancerous /v/ board.
It's 4chan. If you show even the barest sign of "autism," of course I'll call it that. It's like calling everybody on /u/ "nee-chan" when we all know the majority aren't women.
I lost the link. But I remember seeing an image that advertised both the TS and 19 days keychains. One of them was with the umbrella and the other was them holding hands. There was even one with a little mophead.
yuri holocaust comic when?
Could be cute and sad. Either two lesbians trying to escape or an SS officer in love with another girl and does all she can do to prevent the girl she's in love with from death. Of course that last one just kind of sounds like Madoka without the time travel
I want to see this.
My vote goes to the SS officer one. I imagine it'd have sweeter moments; depictions of silent, unnoticed dedication/protection and clandestine time spent together.
>Decide a theme
>Create a premise
>Create the characters (in this case choose the characters)
>Create a sequence of events for the story (from point A to pint B)
>Create supplementary events (but no too much)
>Trim the story (cut things that aren't important, redundant or that are distracting from the main storyline)
>Choose the order in which you will tell the events in the story.
That's it. If you have read a lot it would be easier, if you aren't a reader it would be really hard.
>the officer gets shot during their escape
OR, they do manage to escape, and officer is mildly injured, they find a cabin and jew takes care of her and after officer gets better, they make love tenderly until sunrise.
That is some megaton heartbreak right there. Plsno. Not right now with this story. Call me new to yuri; I'm not ready for those levels of darkness.
H-how about...in this darkest moment, a secret squad of lesbians comes to the rescue, saves the two and wipes out the SS, making it look like a suicide explosion (some secret lesbian higher-up could tell what was going down and notified the secret lesbo squad).
The yuri squad goes back into hiding, taking the couple under its wing. Turns out they're made up of a bunch of "forbidden" lovers and escapees (some having lost their loved ones to the SS or other).
It could turn into a story about a band of "yuri bandits" for hire (or just about a yuri secret society that blended extremely well into the SS), with some drama and new hardships, featuring our freed couple.
>didn't even bother trying to link it
>forcing people to navigate the nightmare that is any tumblr page
Shame on you.
What does she got? (Besides a huge crush on another girl?).
Who does she think blonde likes? (Because as far as I can see blonde likes her).
She's got a plan to get Qiu Tong to understand her feelings for her more than likely. As for the whole Sun Jing thinks Qiu Tong likes someone else thing is a pretty basic case of misunderstanding in a romance plot.
If this were any other story, I'd say Sun Jing would go out with her fangirl to make Qiu Tong jealous. But this isn't that kind of story.
I'm guessing she's going to play up her injury in some way or some other scheme.
>But this isn't that kind of story.
It's also quite refreshing that it looks like Sun Jing isn't going to mope around and angst about it, and is instead going to charge forward in an effort to woo Qui Tong. (Although it looks like Muscle-senpai is a bit disheartened.)
Uh, I'd hardly call it an implication, it's pretty obvious. I'm just pointing out that Sun Jing has recovered and apparently decided to be proactive while Muscle-senpai now seems to be angsting.
Between this and the other two korean mangas/manwhas(?) I'm following this one is my favorite, if only tanjiu could dedicate it a bit more time, be constant with the updates ... at least once a week or a long update with more than 6 frames for chapter every 2 weeks ... but I take what I can
Well, to me it feel like
the story itself is kind of retarded, and it relies way too much in sex scenes and flashbacks. I believe that the authors wanted to tell the story on the flashback at first, and then scrapped plans and made the "current one" relying in the framework they had originally planned. That would explain the duality in the quality of the writing, but is just speculation on my part.
Leaving that aside, what do you people believe Sun Jin is going to do?
>Sun Jing will go around school asking people whether they know who QT's secret crush is
>every panel will have a person telling Sun Jing one clue about the person.
>"I've heard he's tall"
>"I've heard she's a girl!"
>"I've heard she's not from around here."
I like it!
I'm no fujoshi but I hope everything works out well for him and that guy. I just want every character to have a happy ending it's such a warm story I don't want any unnecessary angst or drama.
>Try to order
> Order cancelled. Apparently they are out of stock.
Just kill me.
Is this the official new name for "their story"?
That better be our black haired main character girl grabbing her (lack of breasts and face hidden makes it difficult to be positive). If that's some guy grabbing her I'd be pissed. (Although I wouldn't mind seeing black haired girl beat the shit out of the person if a guy were to grab her).
Guess so. It sounds so uninspired.
The story did truly get to rolling when Sun Jing introduced herself, so I'm okay with it. To us, it can always be "Their Story".
Wow. I never wondered if that was a guy with QT in that club/bar pic. Now I see another possibility for that image: Dude's grabby with QT and Mop head is indicating to the other dude to go find and notify SJ.
SJ or not, I never really liked that "club life" pic. Seems sloppy (not artwise).
But what is this? I doubt the web format would suit a comic format. Is it an artbook with drawings related to Their story? If it's just a collection of images with SJ looking like a guy then no thanks.
Google translate says it is a collection of the comics with artwork and extra content plus a bonus card and poster:
I really like her with shoulder length hair. I really don't get the people complaining about her being too butch. She has longer hair than QT when they are young and with the shorter hair when she's older she still doesn't really look all that masculine.
Congrats for having the bestselling book in China, Tanjiu
Is that listing for all books? I'm so proud right now.
Actually 3x as much. 38 yuan for the book, 110 for the cheapest shipping. It isn't too bad considering, a hardcover full-color book halfway across the world doesn't end up costing much different than a hardcover bought at a local bookstore.
Well, shit. It's coming to twice as much as getting books locally, and they are pretty pricey to start with.
Shame there's probably not going to be an interest with it, maybe I could order several and split the cost with others.
Here's a display from the autograph event that's featured on the tumblr page. According to it, Tanjiu's weibo (where she posts Their Story/SQ) had 550 million views in 2015, and the first-edition book already has 150,000 pre-orders. Compared to the huge Chinese-speaking population, it's not much, but it's still exciting to see that so many people are into this series!
By all appearances, it's an exciting success
Her persona is a guy. Both Tan Jiu and Old Xian don't like their pictures taken.
Is China still arresting people for writing homo stuff? Every time I see their private personas become more public I get nervous.
I guess the thing going commercial should alleviate my fears, but still.
Being a poorfag is suffering.
Woa, What is this what is this what is this!!!???
Hey, that's not QT… is it?
Also, keychains! http://yaoi-blcd.tumblr.com/post/130990754155/keychains-up-for-sale-on-ebay-they-are-limited
Look at that bidding war, $66 for the set and $53 for the qt umbrella. Someone out there is dedicated.
This series is very popular, I think they'll merchandise more as time goes on and we will all get a chance for qt keychains at some point. At least, I hope so, since I can't justify paying that much.
If someone took a better picture head-on you could make your own very easily
>oh nice keychains for sale
I'm too poor for this
Well, I bet this is the moment when New Girl rushes out of school to see if she can catch up with Sun Jing, and finds her having a blast with her crush.
The question is, what kind of situation would this setting lead the plot into?
Funny thing I discovered just now. That screenshot is what I see on my PC, while on my phone it gives me 6 results.
When I change my PC's User Agent to match my phone , it works too, but when I revert to default - 0 results.
What the fuck, ebay?!
Hopefully we're going to see a kiss like that at some point.
Too bad we won't ever get official porn of them. I mean sure it takes away from the innocent love they have going - but I feel if anyone is capable of making a sex scene both sappy and adorable it would be our hero Tan Jiu.
Damn I might die from diabetes, those two are soo fucking cute ... watch their relationship grow and -hopefully- transform into something deeper I'ts like looking at an adorable clumsy puppy trying to learn about the dog life
>new : http://yaoi-blcd.tumblr.com/post/131394005650/update-from-tan-jiu-translated-by-yaoi-blcd-if
Damn, you beat me to the post every time. You must live in a different time zone, or you don't sleep and check their site every hour.

Meaning what, the hardcover book will have this as a bonus?
think of it as a support. I buy a lot of yuri manga for that reason. This is hard as fuck for me to read a manga without furigana (of course, most of yuri manga don't have furigana), yet this is a pleasant thing to support the industry.
I'm in the same boat. I really, really want it, and if I had the option to buy it locally, I'd do it in a heartbeat. But the shipping costs are so high, and I don't know anyone who'd like to split them with me.
Being poor sucks.
To the UK on Amazon shipping is more than ten times as expensive as the actual book (and there is only one shipping option, it's ridiculous, eBay sellers in China will ship stuff slowly for pennies). So I'm thinking about using a proxy shipping service because then it should be a bit more reasonable.
It comes up to ~150 yuan for me in Central Europoor from Amazon. The book is 35. It's a fucking daylight robbery.
The two other options (taobao and jsomething) were similarly high priced the last time I checked.
>proxy shipping services
How do I into this?
>not posting the other one too
I just got my book. It's a lot bigger than I expected. Nice quality release. The "regular edition" comes with the poster and postcard. The cover isn't hardcover, but it is fairly stiff. Is there really a different edition? Aside from a true hardcover, everything listed on the "special edition" listing on amazon is in the "regular edition". There's nothing new that we haven't seen, btw. Everything in the book was posted on her weibo. The book ends at the chapter where muscle senpai confronts the delinquents from the other school.
The special refers to the two short kissing strips from early on before it was a series and the Christmas one.
>I just got my book. It's a lot bigger than I expected.
Same here, I didn't look at the dimensions beforehand and somehow the pictures I've seen made it look smaller. So I was really surprised when it was artbook-sized.
I thought I had ordered the hardcover with the poster and stuff, but apparently not. Got an email to say my book is on it's way but I'm a bit disappointed it's not the hardcover version. Oh well, it'll still be nice to have.
I'm surprised no one has translated this yet.
1. Ahhh I'm dead tired...
3. This is... a new user?
4a. Eh!! ... Isn't this that popular senior from our school?
4b. I think her name was... Fei E? I've forgotten what her major is...
5a. She has such a great aura / she's so classy ~ But that personality of hers...
5b. Hmm... who knows, she might ignore me...
6a (Sound effect, literally, ding dong)
6b. You and Fei E have liked each other.
6c. Send message
6d. Continue searching
7a. Wahhhhh!!! She liked me too!!
7b. Why am I so happy that we can chat now!?
8a. Wait... I'm also popular in my own right~
8b. We've chatted for so long, how can I keep letting her lead me by the nose...
10a. Do you like to drink coffee?
10b. It's okay I guess (t/n: literally, an ordinary amount)
10c. Want to join me at the cafe downstairs this weekend?
11. Wahhhh oh yes~~!!
Done. There may be some slight inaccuracies since I haven't read this webcomic before and don't know about the two girls' interactions prior to this, but on the whole it should be fairly accurate.
Haha, the translation in the last panel is more yuri-ish than the source, IMO.
What Qiu Tong said was, literally, "Just let me die of the awkwardness!" which is something like "It's so awkward I could die!"
Here we go again. There has been 0 bullshit in this so far and we are nearly 80 strips in, everything so far has been young naivety written with a steady hand or outright maturity. Stop being weird.
I'm not sure about that, I'm ethnic Chinese but have never lived / studied in China so I don't know much about their education system. It's possible that they choose specializations in schools other than universities, say in vocational schools for example.
SUN JING U USELESS LESBIAN you should have said something charming right that moment ... Their cuteness is killing me, seriously is too much for me ... confess, kiss, fight and have hot make up sex already!!
>have hot make up sex already!!
I can see them now, stopping to ask each other what to do next while they're in the middle of heavy petting. The both of them admitting to each other that they never actually thought about how it's done.
Every translator needs to take some liberties to make it flow better. An 100% faithful translation will sound awkward and will still change some meanings anyway.
"You are making me blush" is a common English phrase, while "it is so awkward I could die" is a bit, well, awkward to say. And the translation choice doesn't really change the meaning all that much. Qiu Tong is blushing, after all.
That's good to know.
I'm not saying that liberties are horrible -- they are most definitely necessary, but there is a notable difference between "you're making me blush" and "it's so awkward I could die". Also, both phrases are pretty common in English.
Well it's all nuanced anyways. At least we're getting some yuri.
alright, not being racist, just being curious considering there were barely any asians where I was raised:
as an ethnic Chinese person, I'm guessing you have been taught mandarin/cantonese speech in your home. How is your writing in your home language? Is it taught by your family as well? Would you say you are fluent in writing it, and are most people in your situation (chinese, but raised in a foreign country) generally fluent in it?
I'm french, but moved around a lot so whilst I speak it fluently, I have a harder time writing without making mistakes. French also has a different "tone" in writing, such as ways to form sentences, tenses only being used in writing, etc, and I'm quite bad at it since my family never really took the time to immerse me in that. just wondering what your experience is on that.
It varies by a lot. My experience in the US: for most - almost all - 2nd generation immigrants (children of the 1st generation of foreign-born and migrating to US) they know how to speak their native dialect. 3rd generation+ is where many don't learn any chinese (for many different reasons), I would still put them in the minority though. This is re: spoken dialect.
Writing/spoken Mandarin (if not the house dialect) - usually learned in Chinese Schools, not the home. I only know a few people who learned any writing from their parents/grandparents, and even then it was only very little - the bulk of what they learned was at a Chinese School.
Oh, and I'm 3rd generation, but speak very little Cantonese (can read/write even less). I would say about 70% of my Chinese-American peers can speak/understand with various fluency. And some understand, but don't really speak. With 4+ generation it's even more all over the place.
Rather than "you're making me blush", I would have gone for "I could just die of embarrassment" and the like. In this case, the literal translation would be "why don't you just let me die of embarrassment" but that's a mouthful.
I wasn't expecting my book to come in until agter thanksgiving but it came by today! It's such great quality. I think i'll go thru yaoi-blcd and write the translation by hand myself into the pages.
This is cute. Now that Tan Jiu's got the series' official title down, it looks like she is tying it all back to the theme of "begin with your name".
Now I want to reread the old strips again and try to see if it fits with the new info. Is Qiu Tong really all that bad with people?
A note to all looking to buy the book off amazon China. There is no special Hardcover edition of the book. Having received both books off the two listing (amazon sells theirs as regular ed, the marketplace seller lists theirs as special limited), both books are exactly the same. They also both have the same bonuses (poster + postcard).
The girl who helped sun jing find out about her qiu tong's name mentioned that she didn't have many friends.
