and there's a patch out for 'Someday My Revolution Will Come', the Utena Saturn game, https://vndb.org/v1916
I should remember coffee before posting.
Yup. They show this for a while, and it starts with what sounds like the MC interrupting the other girl.
Full disclosure, I don't know moon, but the cutscene directly after this shows the pale-skinned girl with her normal skin and hair color. I'm assuming demon shenanigans, and Arnas uses her demon powers or whatever to get rid of the demon in the other girl.
A kiss is still a kiss though. Especially since we see the two of them hold hands and even share the same bed.
"You don't know how many times your smile managed to save me"
"Be it the futile battle against the 邪妖 (evil fairy or something, don't know the official translation) or the fact that I became less and less human the more blue blood I recovered"
Well, in 2013 they said that /all/ Atelier Games (probably Gust's main series) will have dual audio in the west.
I'd say it's likely, especially since they're published by Koei Tecmo.
Would /u/ be interested in playing this game?
And in other news that person making the monster girl yuri VN (and two others) decides to quit making VNs, surprising absolutely no one... because they're depressed and don't feel appreciated for something. The usual excuses people make for giving up.
Checked their Twitter feed and they do a lot of ranting about AJTilley and Winged Cloud. While I agree that those developers aren't the best, they do hold the distinction of having actually made shit. Oh well.
What the hell. I wanted to add something to my post and this is /u/ so I didn't expect anyone to reply that soon.
Basically, another Lemmasoft failure story. It's just more disappointing because it would have been a yuri game and the early character designs looked really nice.
It's not a lemmasoft problem so much as an 'inexperienced indie' problem. /evn/ devs who never go near LSF are just as flakey. People who've never made a project tend to have no idea how much work they really are and how hard it is to keep motivation up and deal with everything going wrong (things always go wrong).
Never get too invested in random game ideas that might go into development, especially not based on nothing but some cute concept art. The chance of crash-and-burn is VERY high.
Yes, on all platforms.
The only one that didn't these last 10 years or so was Atelier Ayesha on PS3. That was the first game localized by Koei themselves and they probably thought they knew best, but they quickly got the memo - all their subsequent localizations had dual audio, including Atelier Ayesha's PSV remake.
As far as I can tell, there's only plans to bring the PS4 version over, but the only evidence I have of this is a tweet by Koei Tecmo of Europe. However, they also said "we re-proposed. We respect PS Vita users."
Which means you just might get it on Vita, nogamestation-san. Hear it runs and looks like absolute dogshit on Vita, though, so be wary.
I already have one of almost every other console and a new laptop, I can't justify a current-gen purchase for at least another 2 years. I always get their Vita games on sale anyway, I don't think I'd mind too much as long as it was playable.
The fps doesn't look as worse than what I expected. I had terrible time playing DW games in Vita because of slowdown but that isn't really as bad as them.
I'm glad that they're optimizing it for PS4 though. Some games looks like shit in PS4 because they based it on either vita/ps3
At least it looks somewhat constant. I can deal with a stable 20, but dips are unacceptable.
Yeah, that's my hope too. A lot of the games I have on PS4 are also available on last gen consoles, and it's obvious how the games were developed for those consoles and then up-ressed for the new ones.
Saki looks like Chikane for a reason.
That's actually from the bad end where they don't stop the mecha from erasing Japan
YnnK "Normal End"
It's the bad end that got posted near at the beginning of the thread, and obviously incomplete considering
the cat is revealed to be the Lord of the Night or something like that and Arnas is possessed, I assume judging from the camerawork and being labeled "???"
Donno about Japan, but in the US it's usually down to small local stores not caring as much, employees and or their friends sneaking stuff out, or it being a smaller release that stores take less care of.
In order for the game to be available for purchase in stores at launch day, you can't just send the physical DVDs overnight to every store. Some stores might be stocking copies for a few weeks before the official release date. All it takes is one store owner of a small shop somewhere grabbing a copy for themselves without telling anyone and you have your leak, impossible to trace back.
Flowers Innocent Grey. Billybob on youtube edited some translation into some of the scenes.
This really looks like something I'd buy right away once it comes out (this month maybe?) on Steam. The art is so gorgeous and I ship Seoh/Mayuri so hard. Fuck Rikka.
>During all of this, one of the students at the academy disappears, and this is the mystery the game revolves around.
PLEASE TAKE RIKKA INSTEAD SATAN
So basically, work as an employee of the place, snatch a copy at the back where you keep all the games, and go leak it online?
I remember talking with a guy on youtube and was going "how the hell do you have the game already?" and he was like "I bought the game in this local store that we have and recorded and uploaded it before the release date. Pretty sure Namco Bandai won't care."
Few days later, the vids of the game that he had were taken down by youtube. I think he uploaded the vid two weeks before the release date or something.
>So basically, work as an employee of the place, snatch a copy at the back where you keep all the games, and go leak it online?
Possibly, but some stores also break street date for customers because they want to make a sale. Less likely with high-profile games because the company will be pissed at them and punish them in the future, but for little things it happens.
It's the same with books. Some stores will sell it as soon as it arrives, no matter what the release date says. This annoys the hell out of authors because their sales ranks are only determined after launch date, so sales before that aren't counted, which can mean not qualifying as a bestseller and getting promotions and so on.
>their sales ranks are only determined after launch date, so sales before that aren't counted
Counted by who? I mean, sales can only be accounted for if the vendors communicate their numbers, or by extrapolating from products shipped to the vendors and not returned. How can anyone compiling these kind of rankings would be able to even ignore these sales in the first place without the vendors flat-out admitting they broke the sale date?
I don't work in the publishing industry, I don't know the details of how sales reports are compiled, I just know what I've heard the authors complain about. There must be some way that the vendors report the sales.
What's the most yuri Harvest Moon?
That image reminded me of this so much I had to go look it up to see how similar they were (not THAT much but)
Fuck me someone made a rom of one of the harvest moon games that let you play as a girl and marry a girl and another version where you could play as the male pc and marry boys. I think it was of 'Friends of Mineral town' or one of those games.
There's the True Love patch of Friends of Mineral Town on the GBA, which takes the male version, and edits in the female player character from the girl version and changes up the pronouns and dialogue to reflect this.
So you know, get your gay farmer on.
Since some of you guys are talking about Yoru no nai Kuni, I need help in getting this translated, like what the heck am I supposed to do?
The way of transformation
This mission is about transformation. Attack a target and use transfromation
Low ATK is advantageous at this mission
You should use ready-selected 従魔
Umm I'm not good at english
Let's post some Yoru no Nai Kuni promo art.
There is no definitive "End" yet, at least for Suou(MC), as the overarching main story,
the disappearence of Mayuri, still has no conclusion. Think of the cliffhanger of the first Flowers akin an end of Chapter 1 of 4.
The Class S thing is actually brought up as a serious topic in Flowers, especially in the 1st one, with one route revolving around Class S and how the people around Suou and her partner perceives it, while the other route is a straight up "I'm a lesbian" path, following Suou's acceptance of herself and her effort to win over her chosen one.
You can probably guess which route belongs to whom.
The Arcana Heart series is a bunch of fighting games though. As they stand right now, yuri and fighting games go about as well together as honey and mayonnaise, even in all-girl games like the aforementioned Arcana Heart.
I believe people seeing Rikka as "class S" is actually a misinterpretation. I think a few things, such as expectations that Flowers is like MariMite or Suoh's naivety in her narration, just colored people's perception, despite Rikka being treated in the writing as the gayest girl of the class.
>I hate how they're look at the fourth wall in these pics. It feels like there going "Do you mind, Anon? We're trying to have a moment here."
i wonder if fujobait images does that as well
I finally managed to finish the Cross Ange game.
Here's the link for all the confession/end illustrations :
Great game overall. Goodbye Cross Ange, I'll always remember you as a franchise which could have been fantastic but have been slaughtered by a shitty producer. At least the game delivered on the yuri and story.
Why did it have to be a Vita exclusive? The game looks like a great way to scratch the disappointment itch left by the show, but I'm not buying a Vita just to play it. Guess I'll just hope I still remember this game existed when we have a functional Vita emulator, in like a decade or however long it'll take.
Hilda, of course. The story heavily shipped her and Naomi so we can say it's the main girl of the game. And I love red heads so I was already sold on her, even before the anime started. Ersha too was pretty great. And at least the game shows she's also a lesbian. A shame the anime never really put a focus on her besides her ara-ara side.
Every shower time with Hilda and Ersha, the few moments we saw Zola and her shower time, and the threesome proposal with Rosalie and Chris. And also when Salia went nuts everytime cosplay was mentionned. It was pretty fun hearing her screaming and having a nosebleed.
CA is already a niche anime, plus it's a yuri game so I'll doubt it will be localized. Sad for those who don't speak japanese, because it's really fun and make up for all the shit Fukuda did in the anime.
I expected those sort of reactions from Tougou but Karin was quite abrasive
Late again, but I'm happy that Yoru No Nai Kuni is pretty much 100% confirmed Yuri, as anon posted. It isn't just this particular Yuri love scene, but the whole story itself, and there are other near-kisses, like after the dance scene.. etc..
Full movies of the entire game have been uploaded, and can be found by searching around if you want to spoil yourself silly.
Gah! Why can't they localize it for the Vita? Plonking down $400+ on a PS4 system, even just to play, the one full fledged Yuri RPG that is ever made in this universe for me as Yuri fan, is still a wee bit extravagant.
Well, you know, don't. Watch someone
maybe medo a walkthrough or let's play on youtube once it's localized. Or learn nip and import.
I bought my PS4 mostly for Bloodborne and Koei Tecmo games (mainly the Warriors games, but after this I'll have to consider Gust's stuff too). I figure that if there aren't at least an amount of games you're interested in that are in total worth the cost of the console, it's not worth buying.
Does anyone know if Toukiden gets /u/? I played it when I had a Vita and did get some flirty dialogue from a couple of characters. Unfortunately I didn't play far enough into the game to see if the flirting ever amounts to anything.
Sophie will be too.
I'm guessing they scrapped the trap idea and made the protagonist fully female
> They're both shit mobile games with microtransactions
I know the sex on has microtransactions (for shame Kuroko, how could you pay to win?) but I didn't notice any microtransactions in the hinako game (though it would be par for the course)
What are you talking about, onee-sama? MonHun is plenty /u/. Have you seen how the Guildmarm talks to you?
Let's see.. Yoru No Nai Kuni does have a happy ending. It's the "True End" one. There are 5 endings in total. Likely, you'd need a Walkthrough to avoid the bad ones on the first try. All 5 are pretty yuri, but tragic (for the bad ends).
Sala is a bit developped in the game, but the focus is on the pilots so no Sala route, unfortunatly.
But the game confirms that Ange is bi, Salia straight (except for Naomi when she's cosplaying), Vivian is probably bi and all the others are lesbians. Hilda is apple pie level of dyke, Ersha and Rosalie are completely gay too and Chris likes girls but she is so insecure she mixes friendship and love; like her relation with Hilda and Rosalie. Except for Embryo, since he was a true friend, she didn't need to sleep with him and have a normal friendship. But at least, she doesn't go full retard like in the anime when she wanted to kill Hilda and Rosalie for changing her hairstyle.
The Embryo CGs are the ones we get when we choose to betray Jill and go with Embryo. The world gets a reset and everyone lives happily ever after in the school world from the spin-off manga.
Guys I can no longer wait for Flowers. I need it now
Huh, no. Naomi follows Embryo because she thinks he's right, not because she wants his dick. That's Salia who wants it badly. Funny thing, Naomi asks Salia about Tusk in a cutscene, and she says nobody could be interested in a dork like him. Then she confirms she loves Embryo.
For Yorunonai kuni, outside of the endings already discussed above:
They share a bed in a hotel and sleep together every night.
Constant hand-holding and arm-linking.
Daisuki confession during
a star-gazing date.
Give up their lives to protect one another.
Gameplay actually fun unlike other Gust games.
Well, Hilda doesn't become a walking joke, Tusk is likeable and Embryo isn't a shitty vilain virgin-for-ever, so the game is probably closer to the original scenario than what Fuckuda did to the second part of the anime.
More or less the same than in the anime, the crotch-diving jokes are also here for 2 or 3 scenes, but he's not a magical ninja self-insert who kills the big bad guy and saves the princess. He is a mecanic in the game, and when Naomi talks to him it's mainly to explain how the paramails and ragnamails work. They talk about Ange and Jill too, and Hilda makes fun of him everytime she sees him. He also helps around, but he doesn't pilot a paramail.
It seems Fukuda did everything he could to fuck up the anime and he succeded.
Thank God he wasn't involved in the game so this one was safe. But that's a shame, this franchise could have been great.
It's nice to see that Ersha and Naomi got their iPS cells working. They might have overdone it, though.
>not enjoying turn-based RPGs
>not enjoying both turn-based and action games
The Atelier games are fun you faggot.
I still can just not bring myself to care about Yoru no nai Kuni. I've honestly tried but I just can't stand the retarded princess/knight dynamic. I know I'm not the only one but it honestly feels like all of /u/ is always all over this shit. It's a shame because there's been so much goddamn official art of these two. I wish pairings like Totori and Mimi could've gotten this much attention.
Also, the trailer just looked so melodramatic and angsty. I wanted to like this game more but I just don't think it's for me.
>I wish pairings like Totori and Mimi could've gotten this much attention.
You seem to have missed the metric ton of Totomimi art.
Okay, sure thing anon. I forgot I'm not allowed to make posts about not liking things. We can only talk about how good we think the game is and not say anything about what we don't like about it. I'll remember that next time.
Is this even real? I checked the link and didn't even see your image anywhere. The game had also been out for months (Android only game) complete with trap. The artists would have to draw hundreds of new CG if there were a true yuri version.
There should be a futa board seperate from /d/ for people looking for futa without having to search through tentacles, vote, and shitting dick nipples.
But then I guess everyone would want their own board for thier own obscure hentai fetish
Simply curious, are we not allowed to talk about games that involve futa at all?
We're allowed to talk about plenty of games that involve het. The game he was talking about had both futa and yuri elements.
It kinda depends on the whims of the janitors. We have had good discussions about games that have some futa in the past.
The art in Menagerie looks quite nice and I like the monstergirls theme but is there any yuri in that game? The main character is futa so I was not expecting anything yuri whatsoever from it . Stuff that is just futa is fine for what it is and I enjoy it sometimes but here is usually not the appropriate place to discuss things that are only futa. That said we did have some nice discussions about Sengoku no Kuroyuri back in the day.
I imagine it mostly depends on the amount and relevance. If the game is primarily yuri and just has some futa on the side (particularly if it's optional or confined to a single route) then that should be fine to discuss. But if futa is the main focus then it doesn't belong here.
Hey /u/ I saw an artelier game for the ps4 in the shops and it was 'r' rated what the hell is in the games that make it need that, I thought it was just a bog standard jrpg with a little more stuff. Could just be Australia's terrible rating system but surprised me none the less
It's Australia. Some Ateliers have some scene where one girl/women gets drunk and starts to do a bit of molesting the other girls. It's mostly playful, with the other girl resisting and trying to get away being supposed to be funny and all. Or something like that at least. Australia REALLY doesn't like that. (they also don't like it when women aren't well endowed I think? Well, you see some of those in bikinis..)

Yoru no Nai Kuni sold almost 80,000 units combined (PS4, PS3, PSV) in the first week. To compare it with others gust games, Atelier Escha & Logy sold 57,550 the first week and Shallie 43,744. Atelier Meruru was the best sold Atelier (in the PS3 era) with 82,585 units sold.
Considering this was a totally new IP, I think it was a big success.
Summary of 1st week sales:
Atelier Rorona – 43,243
Atelier Totori – 53,871
Atelier Meruru – 82,585
Atelier Ayesha - 60,548
Atelier Escha & Logy - 57,550
Atelier Shallie - 43,744
Yoru no Nai Kuni - 79,227
These sales numbers are sending a message to Gust that they're allowed to crank up the yuri factor.
Keep in mind that Yoru no Nai Kuni was released on three different platforms simultaneously, including an handheld device, while the Atelier games were PS3 only at release. That's going to skew the raw numbers in unpredictable ways, making any direct comparison kind of meaningless.
Those are definitely decent numbers for Yoru No Nai Kuni. Thank heavens! If it had flopped badly, we will be assured no more upfront yuri in the future.
>retarded princess/knight dynamic
I love the princess/knight dynamic between two feminine girls, so Ynnk hits the right spot for me.
Not really. Sophie is coming out on the same platforms soon and preorder trends are showing that it won't do as good as YNNK. For small games what matters is that you have the right audience, increasing the number of platforms doesn't really proportionally increase sales.
Both the PS3 and PS4 are more powerful consoles than the PSV, meaning YNNK is most likely going to be a better experience on the formers than on the latter. So if someone bought a game available on all 3 consoles for their PSV, you can't simply dismiss the possibility that they have neither a PS3 nor a PS4.
>increasing the number of platforms doesn't really proportionally increase sales
Not arguing that, but you can't say it will have no effect either, particularly on first week sales - we've seen laments in these very threads about YnNK only coming to PS4 in the West. It's however most likely to even out in the long term.
>Sophie is coming out on the same platforms soon and preorder trends are showing that it won't do as good as YNNK
All it's telling us is that Sophie is doing worse than YNNK, not how YNNK is doing compared to the previous Atelier games. As it stands, for the purpose of direct comparison total YNNK sales are most likely an overestimation when put alongside the previous Atelier sales. By how much, I have no idea. I'd say going the other extreme and considering only YNNK's home console sales is going to give us a lower bound, most likely an underestimation this time (once again, I have no idea by how much). Yet even in this worst case scenario, YNNK would sell better than the latest Atelier game, bucking a trend started by Ayesha. The worst case scenario would still be good news for /u/s, particularly considering this is a brand new IP.
>These sales numbers are sending a message to Gust that they're allowed to crank up the yuri factor
Specially when Ar no Surge bombed hard with only 27,037 units sold in the first week. I'd love an Ar Tonelico/Surge game with a female MC though.
Also, /v/ was telling that YnNK could have done even better but shops understocked and pretty much the 100% of the PS4 and PSV initial shipment was sold.
Remember how Shinovi Versus was released as Vita only?
Then we get Estival Versus multi-plataform and it sold almost the same when counting sales from both consoles. It was pretty much considered a success.
I mean, most people that like these games probably have both plataforms already, so it's only a matter of choosing which one they'll choose.
Sure, the sales might have shrunk a little, but I don't think it would go down so much.
>Splatoon's staying up there like it's a Mario Kart or Animal Crossing title
People are still wondering how can the phrase "original Nintendo IP is a multiplayer oriented third person shooter" not be an oxymoron.
I still can't quite believe it myself.
Still need to play it, but apparently there's a single comment where
Ion asks the player if they would be jealous if she was with another girl. If the player answers yes, she'll say something like "if you're a girl I guess you would be jealous"
Probably misquoting that terribly. Need to actually play the game but there are practically hundreds of games in my backlog, so...
Unlike Iffy, Gust-chan have major hangup when it comes to PC. Their last PC games were early Atelier games way back in the 90s, if I'm not mistaken.
But then Iffy is a chuunibyou who peddles DLCs shamelessly (Agarest, ugh...).
"Lyuritis:That's a lie! Arnas-sama sleeps with me everynight!"
