Valkyrie Drive -Bhikkhuni-
>Release Date: December 10 Playstation Vita
>Valkyrie Drive -Siren-
>Marvelous Europe has been retweeting the game's trailers
Oh, nice. Maybe we'll have a localization, if the gameplay is okay.
I don't expect anything wonderful, but yeah, it would be nice if the anime and the girls actually had a story.
There have been a few other shows like Qwaser (also by the same director) that have had a lot of variety and detail, but I don't think anything's had this much attention to detail before.
I hope we get a proper scan of this poster soon
I just noticed that Momoka (evil Miku) is an Exstar. I'm guessing she's going to be a rival with Mamori for Mirei's affection/"swordsmanship skills."
Bet she's way better in bed than Mamori is.
I don't think there's anything written saying that a Liberator can only have one Exstar.
But if MireiI is going to be dual wielding I'd kind of hope for a sword/gun combo (I think Meifon turns into a gun? Is she even an Exstar?)
Viola uses a sword and a gun, so is possible. Personally I'm hoping Torino is an Exstar and Meifon her liberator
>Mamori doesn't seem like the kind of girl that'd be into threesomes.
I'm sure she can be convinced though
I LOVE the fanart this series is getting
Am I the only one finding the french kissing a LOT more hot than the constant nudity?
According to what little info I've found on message boards, the setting for Valkyrie Drive does have a lot of potential beyond the lesbian fest.
So we have the Exsters and the Liberators present on -Mermaid-, Siren follows the same concept but it adds an hybrid class on the form of the setting's antagonist. Being an Hybrid she can either wield an exster or becoming one.
The interesting thing is that Bhikkhuni's cast is composed entirely by hybrids. Beyond being a gameplay commodity (having the characters locked on a role would hurt the game) it sets an interesting twist on the setting. Bhikkhuni's island is the one where the girls infected with the virus learn to harness its power, Siren is depicted as being almost a concentration site and Mermaid is the only one to be considered "normal" until Mirei's arrival.
If the series does get a continuation where every character gets to meet, is gonna be very interesting to see how they react to each other.
>If the series does get a continuation where every character gets to meet, is gonna be very interesting to see how they react to each other.
I hope not, wasn't one of the projects setting be about special boy showing up and being just a harem het game?
If that will get connected to all other parts of franchise I doubt we will get anything good from it
We don't know that for sure, the character doesn't even has a name nor a design (is meant to represent the player after all) so I expect for it to be mostly irrelevant just like the instructor on Senran Kagura New Wave.
The phone game looks infinitely cheaper than the other two, the difference in art is gargantuan. The anime's actually pretty high-tier as far as ecchi anime character design goes but the game is just utter garbage.
I think it's the project that will matter the least.
>instructor on Senran Kagura New Wave
or Producer in Idolmaster, or Admiral in Kancolle.
I'm very much not worried, and in fact I'm happy about Siren because there are only so many characters you can put in a platformer/anime while mobile games usually give you a ton of new characters.
Like the guy that every idol says they're in love with on the game?
Or the guy that can marry one of the ship-girls?
Isn't that a reason to worry?
At least in KanColle you can choose MC's gender.
It's really damn weird. Especially considering how relatively standard the game's characters are.
I do like Momoka and Meifon so that warms up my interest a bit. Though I really dislike reverse-traps.
In SIF the player character is a student of Otonakizaka, an all-girls school. It's obvious, therefore, the player character is a girl.
In Kancolle it can literally be whatever you wish. Male, female, even a corgi.
In Idolmaster I think it's clear that the Producer is male.
No, that isn't a reason to worry because I don't spend my entire life fantasizing about the girls I like getting dicked by faceless self-inserts.
Mr. Special is a non-issue and will continue to be a non-issue as long as he doesn't show his featureless mug anywhere official.
>Not confirmed to be either though.
That's what gets me, if it's supposed to be the player, couldn't they just have NOT shot themselves in the foot with defining a gender in Siren? The anime I get if she's actually a tomboy plot point but is it that hard to write "person" instead of the "one guy in an all girl environment" shit again? Male players could fill in the blank easily enough from being over saturated with it in haremshit without it telegraphing that as your demographic for the whole franchise.
I'm glad SIF EN corrected the "translations" on that front, but it goes to show that so long as you don't openly clarify it, even the company in charge of translation can be dumb enough to believe you're a lone guy in an all girl school and push it, so there will be people who happily believe.
Fun note on Idolmaster in their recent SIF alternative, when they mention Producer, it writes your name before it in the dialogue, so with a female name they all talk pretty gay. Obviously not a really conscious effort but it's cute they've left it relative to the player.
One could say that since the game is an alternate version from the anime, it's not an all-girls school.
Or that the mc isn't a student, since it's never confirmed as one.
But the game itself does hint on them being a girl.
In Idolmaster is really a male. I played some of the translated PSP game. And while it doesn't really end in romance, the girl in the route I played did imply she wanted to marry him someday.
Anyway, key word was franchise. Despite the islands being disconnected and "it's just" handwaves aside, they are using one franchise title, and setting up a specifically male self-insert for part of it implies their target for VD in general is a male fanservice audience above anything more substantial.
It's probably obvious that it's going to be trashy given the sentient macro boob jiggle and I don't really care, it is what it is, but that's probably what's rubbing people the wrong way on expectations, whether they can really put a finger on it.
>it implies their target for VD in general is a male fanservice audience
I don't think anyone ever thought otherwise. Getting this worked up over a meaningless mobile game is pointless.
Page for Episode 1 is up on the website!

>that loving gaze
>>massive tits on most of the cast
>Shame. Not my cup of tea.
I don't like large (morbidly huge fake) breasts either, but there will be a handful of smaller and medium (natural size) breasts as well. I'm going to tune in for that, and the hope that we get some romance between the girls (we know lust will be there) too.
J's are just full retard, of course, but Mirei is too massive herself to not have massive tits. I'm fine with those but I don't like her being that massive in the first place either.
Dude, not that anon but Lady J worries me. Like how does she sleep? Can she sleep on her back with 10 kg weighing down on her rib cage? Does she sleep on the side? But isnt that uncomfortable with one hanging about? On her stomach seems impossible? What if her tits suffocate her in her sleep? Can she see her feet?
>The middle ground is awkward and caters to nobody.
>I like only washboards or 10kg tits! Normal sized breasts are awful!
The Valkyrie Drive -Mermaid- television anime series will premiere on October 10 at 11:30 p.m. on AT-X.
>The show will then premiere on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, and TV Aichi on October 12, and then on BS11 on October 17.
I am tired of the...
>I really respect you as an oneesama
>we have to kill so x-person can have transformation power
>but I really love you as an oneesama
>let's just have an open ending allow the crowd to interpret our relationship
That being said KLK was a breath of fresh air even though it was cliche "I need to win this so I can go out on a date with love interest as seen in most mecha/fighting anime," quote. But I still like how it was kinda canon. That being said there are still people arguing over the interpretation still to this day.
I don't mean kill = kiss, but moreso that both of them are sort of apologetic and reluctant because they think the other person is being forced to be with them, but they're actually happy the other is around. I'm probably not explaining this very well.
That seems like a pretty safe bet, specially when you take into account that Lady J and Rein are lovers in all but name
Their powers are fueled by their emotions. I would not be surprised if the reason they beat whatever rivals they fight is because of their love. Or "BEST FRIENDship" if they cop out.
>Weight: 65kg (breast weight: 3kg)
>Bust: 111cm (H cup, 83cm under-bust)
>"There is no future in that direction..."
>A girl with amazing curves, tanned skin, and blonde hair long enough to graze the ground. >Due to her appearance and extremely quiet demeanor many think she is a scary person, but her personality is innocent and pure, and has the courage and will to act so she does not turn her back to unreasonable things. Actually a fan of cute things. Her talent as a Liberator is S-class. Due to her reticence, not many know of her past.
>Weight: 42kg (breast weight: 0.1kg)
>Bust: 75cm (AAA cup, 70cm under-bust)
>So there you have it, let's hurry up and begin! Thanks, thanks!"
>A girl transferred to mermaid before Mirei and Marimo. Half-Japanese and half-Taiwanese, she uses her small frame well and has agile movements. Speaks with the Osaka dialect, and is so cheap she will do anything for money. >Her personality is one that plunges head-on into everything, and her various emotions are noticeably clear. Leads a quiet life in Feste (castle), but behind the scenes runs a "jack-of-all-trades" operation, and each time someone with an ability gets transported to the island sets up bets to greedily make money.
I didn't think she could get any cuter, but here we are. Plus Mirei is a complete softy, the promo images make that kinda clear, but I'm glad it's not gonna be a secret or anything. Can't wait to see her doting on her loli
Osaka accent is Meifon Sakura (pic related), not Mirei or Mamori, the two main girls.
I had wondered this in a previous thread. It seems like everytime Japan makes a delinquent/tomboy/whatever not super girly type character she is almost always made into secretly being really girly/wants to be more girly. In the previous thread one onee-san answered with Daidouji from Senran Kagura as basically being one of the only characters that doesn't fall into that trope.
I just want a delinquent style girl who is actually a delinquent and not secretly a super innocent girl who just wants to look at cute things and wants to be a bride.
The though deliquent girl doesn't seem to be something that the nips enjoy. Daidouji just oozes badass on all her appearances and yet she's one of the less popular characters on Japan. Is so bad that when she was introduced on EV they gave her a story where she was beating other girls and taking their gimmicks to become more feminine.
Kind of a spit in the face when you take into account EV gave her this utterly badass character art
You absolutely don't have any right to judge anyone's taste if you like this disgusting piece of meat that looks like if someone just maximized every bodyslider in a character creator. Don't even bother.
Alright, let's do it like this.
You have shit taste.
Now your taste indeed is shit just because I said so. And you can't do anything about it. Won't stop you from liking humanized old pigs, I assume.
This is getting too /a/.
This show's fascination with fat girls is refreshing if anything.
Speak for yourself.
And official art that's trying its hardest to appeal to waifufags with somewhat uncommon taste instead of, dunno, trying to appeal to yuri fans or no one at all is something to complain about
if you're bored and have nothing else to do.
They also like anime, just like me and most of use. What a coincidence. But not the reason for me to go there.
Why is posting so fucked.
This is the best anime ever, only a Sonohana adaptation could ever top this masterpiece of modern animation
>The designs are great
Except Lady J and Torino, they're too much for me.
It's been a while since I laughed that much for a first episode. It was great. Mirei was cute, pink is best and Mamori was nice. Let's hope the whole anime will be like that: fun and entertaining.
Designs are hit or miss for me. It did manage to hit pretty hard and it's also yuri so I'm staying for now.
Full-porn is fine, NSFW side-scenes would be great. Fucking on the battlefield to transform a girl into a weapon is Seikon no Qwaser tier retarded.
Don't forget, It's because of this contrivance that we get to see girls fondle and almost outright have sex with other girls.
It might seem preferable that they be groping each other strictly because they're into that kind of stuff, but then the show would probably be more of an ecchi SoL, rather than a battle vixen type scenario.
>Fucking on the battlefield to transform a girl into a weapon is Seikon no Qwaser tier retarded.
I don't know, it sounds like a legit strategy on that island where both partners can transform.
You could end a battle directly by making the enemy team so aroused that both of them turn into their weapon forms.
The ED is freaking adorable
God I hope it gets to the porn soon because this is just painfully bad.
>Hey, this blatant fanserivce show isn't giving me actual fulfilling lesbian relationships, I'm upset!
If you were dumb enough expecting more than titties and kisses I don't know what to tell you.
Now if you excuse me I have some webms to watch on repeat.
>and two leads show plenty of signs of being legitimately into each other
Indeed, I'm really hopeful for the series to deliver something that everyone can enjoy
I was HOPING it would be the enjoyable kind of trash with decent direction and funny jokes that comes out every now and then, but nope. This was just plain terrible.
Even the porn was bad.
Mirei is adorable
>actual romance or relationships
You think? It seemed blatantly obvious that Mirei has a thing for Mamori
Hell, their profiles state they have a relationship built on a deep trust on each other
For what is worth, she seemed legitimately sorry that things happened that way.
>Blushing and then raping someone isn't the best start of loving relationship though.
I wish there was a laughing_sonohanas.jpeg to post
Couldn't agree more nothing more disgusting than a land whale and encouraging that level of fat will get them killed. Its like aiding someone commit suicide and those who support it should be ashamed.
Great episode wish yuri fans would be more happy that we get something rather than nothing. I loved the show personally.
She just dropped her box of censor-rays. Shipment was late, since it's a new series.
Yeah man, you have to wonder the breast health of some of these ladies.
I have watched half of the first episode.
It's about a girl that has a certain weird condition. She's kidnapped and ends in an island where some organization is gathering people like her.
They send two girls to find her. They bully her and one fondle the other until she becomes a machine gun.
Then the blonde arrives at the island and saves the girl. And fondle her. And she becomes a sword.
Then the blonde defeat the two girls.
Gonna watch the second half. It's... interesting. And very lewd. Hopefuly there's gonna be some real romance between the leads.
>How can people sit through this with a straight face?
That's your problem, you have to put your gay face on
Well that was pretty amazing.
Though I wonder why this one shot was censored in the ATX version even though nothing else in the episode was. Guess they made a mistake, unless it's not actually censored and her ass is just supposed to be this shiny.
I really hope she's a bottom
>Made it half way until the stupid delinquent girl fight, fucking dropped. How can people sit through this with a straight face?
I think you were pretty stupid for dropping it half way through. That fight was pretty good from the perspective of what the main girls did in it, and you missed out on some good followup. Whatever its your loss.
>How can people sit through this with a straight face?
You need your yuri face on
This is somewhat similar to those shounen action animes with yaoi subtexts. I mean, all the tropes are there like the protective one, over the top action, betting on the newbie, I don't know what's going on here with all the dangerous people around, and some very clearly defined villains who gets beaten as the main leads awaken their ability. Except it's all girls and not subtext.
There's another screening of the first two episodes of Valkyrie Drive -Mermaid- today at the "ufotable CINEMA" venue in Tokushima. After the screening there will also be a discussion panel with Kenichiro Takaki and Masako Yumioka from Kadokawa.
I knew this was going to be a standard lez version of het anime but my god it was worse than i thought in respect to use of cliches.
Waiting for an anime to use background character stereotypes as main characters, they always look nicer, e.g. cowgirl character, however i like the design of the redhead but the western style girl is boring.
Oh, and Mary Sue, why.........
Purityfags who get mad at anything that is remotely lewd can go and cry me a liver.
I liked the whole get-your-girl-to-climax-and-become-a-weapon thing and the fighting was cool but this show felt more like a soft porno with way too big tits on some of the cast. I dont mind the lewdness, not at all but imo there was a bit too many nipslips and cartwheelsized bouncy boobs with railwayspikesized nipples for my taste. Will still watch though since there seems to be actual yuri in it.
maybe so but to me it feels like if you've seen one naked anime girl then you've seen them all. when they flashed their tits then I wasn't wowed or anything, just felt like yeah I've seen this a million times before, it wasn't anything special.
>there's plenty of hentai already.
We had only 2 yuri girls only hentai ever, 2 episodes of Shoujo Sect and one episode of SonoHana OVA, that's all, maybe adding Stainless Night and Parade Parade to the mix but that is just futa territory all along with some yuri.
So no, even a soft-porn yuri hentai anime is quite a welcomed sight for me.
>With "anything" people mean anything romantic, not sexual.
But once anything romantic happens without sex, people accuse the show just being about subtext because the girls don't makeout.
