That's right Sakurako, keep your bitch under control.
I don't think I like how anime changed up this sequence.
Instead of being about how Ayano is comfortable when she's with Chitose, they made it about Ayano being jealous of Yui.
She'd be a good friend to make people uncomfortable with.
Actually I find this interesting. I don't remember ever seeing Ayano being jealous of Kyouko/Yui's relationship in the manga, which actually makes little sense since Chinatsu often displays jealousy towards them.
I just pulled that episode up and I think you're right. Ayano doesn't blush or get too flustered like classic Ayano when Chitose suggests she's jealous of Yui/Kyo. When Chitose suggests she try harder, Ayano says "Chitose..," not because she has an epiphany, but because she notices Chitose's head looks like an onion.
I agrre, I don't think she sees anything between those two
You just know shit is going places when a moeblob show about gay little girls starts getting its already flimsy canon divided into befores and afters.
I believe it's because they already used the "I'm so comfortable around you" line when Ayano and Chitose were bathing in the camping OVA. I could be wrong about that, I deleted the OVA.
Pretty sure we've got representation from just about every major board here. As slow as these threads usually are, I doubt there are that many people who come to 4chan for /u/ and /u/ alone. I'm a /v/irgin who clicked /u/ a couple times too many on my phone's app
Maybe we should have a specified Meet 'n Greet thread for newcomers to /u/.
if it wasn't for the "epic" memes of my main board i'd also came here only for /u/. this is a realy nice board
>she just like NTR too much.
Way to go Holmes-senpai!
The whole show is a convoluted mess of non-Euclidan proportions, there is no way for everyone to be happy because everyone is a part of a love triangle (except for maybe Nishigakitachi) so someone somewhere will be left out. Yuru Yuri is a 12 lanes tragic love pile-up and it won't be pretty whatever happens.
Okay, thanks for making me sound dumb, I already know that NTR is what keep the show going, but I feel like Kyoko x Yui is slightly more implied and slightly more "canon" than the rest of the couples. I mean, most official artworks with them doesn't need subtext.
Maybe it's just because they are very popular...
They feel more like a couple because you've seen the same type of pairing before, like in Konata/Kagami and Ritsu/Mio. It's pretty standard yuri fare and makes it feel natural to see them together.
Not enough of best couple IMO Does anyone else ship this, or is it just me?
This has nothing to do with season 3, but there was a scene in one of the previous episodes
I thinkthat gave a backstory on Kyoko and Yui. It was edgy as fuck (Kyoko being bullied, Yui died, I think), but ended up just being one of Kyoko's stories, like the one in S1E6. Anyone know where that was from?
Oh, right. It was a doujin. Thought it was in one of the episodes, but I guess not.
Thanks, have some best girl in exchange.
I think they're leading up to it with how they've been pushing Ayano so far. She's actually been getting a bit of character development, with how they're pushing her out of her comfort zone and encouraging her to try harder with Kyouko.
I actually meant Chinatsu and Akari's. Especially since I don't think Chinatsu has been very nice to Akari so far this season. I guess the painting class was pretty sweet.
This might be the best for a lot of them. Just because you're childhood friends doesn't mean you'll be good romantic partners, and everyone needs to get over their first serious cruch (looking at you Ayano).
Himawari and Yui look surprisingly like an actual lesbian couple.
On an unrelated note, has Namori ever made actual porn? Like actually drawing vagoos and stuff? (instead of just implying sex and such).
Maybe entry level scrubs like KyoukoXAyano, but some of us have more refined taste.
I guess it is canon then.
How does that make what I said not true? Himawari and Sakurako have mutual attraction, yes, but they aren't exactly together yet. Same could be said about any other pairing.
Nadeshiko is the only character that is in a relationship, and Namori won't even confirm who it is. If all the characters had set in stone romantic partners that'd kinda spoil the charm.
Himawari and Sakurako have no alternative pairing. That is what the discussion is about. The only persons who really have big alternatives in pairings are Kyouko and Ayano. Everybody else has pretty much her partner.
>Sakurako have no alternative pairing
Keep telling yourself that Ayano
I feel like yui has only a little more, if not the same, presence as akari.
The only reason she stands out more is because of the situations kyouko and chinatsu put her in.
If you removed them she would probably be like akari.
She wouldn't dare disallow her fans to emphasize a single offshoot moment in order to make a ship out of it (in the way that, for example, the dude that made Bayonetta apparently complained about fans making porn where she isn't dom).
Yuru Yuri is written in such a way that, even if some pairings would make more sense than others due to their personalities or just more screentime together, it's possible for the average fan to work out small instances of interaction into a mental narrative about a meaningful relationship. Hence why Namori peppers her work with small details, like having Ayano and Yui on a forced date or mentioning that the Ikeda twins do rather intimate stuff together. It's food for yuri thought.
Plus, it's kind of dickish to go around complaining about fans making stuff anyway. That's a job for the sort of mental police nobody wants around.
>Plus, it's kind of dickish to go around complaining about fans making stuff anyway. That's a job for the sort of mental police nobody wants around.
Not disagreeing with that. Just saying the show/manga does not ship them. Namori only gives the fans the option to ship, the rest is up to them.
I think AyanoxYui is a good example for that. They only share a very few chapters alone with each other. There is no romantic tension between them but the reader can see why there could be a romantic development if you want to ship them.
>Nadeshiko is the only character that is in a relationship, and Namori won't even confirm who it is
Actually her mystery partner has been confirmed for about 4 years now in her side series Yuru Yuri Oomuro-ke. This scene from Nachuyachumi!+ is a reference to said series and will also make sense if you'll read up. It's pretty good.
Except for Ayano. They have great chemistry between each other. They are in some way like Yui and Kyouko, who fully understand each other, no real tension between them and get along really well. Akari and Chinatsu are slowly becoming like this too.
The real tension is
Between the two tsundere, for obvious reasons
Ayano and Kyouko, because of Ayano's shyness (and I suspect Kyouko knows this and deliberately teases her)
Ayano and Yui, because they constantly misunderstand each other
Chinasu and Yui, because of Chinatsu's one sided crush.
Yes, Megumi is (unfortunately) the most likely candidate with the clues we have found so far, but there is nothing in the manga that excludes the possibility of either Miho or Ai being the partner. So nothing is confirmed, even if can be pretty sure.
>Actually her mystery partner has been confirmed for about 4 years now
She never confirmed it though. That's basically a very important source of humor/speculation throughout the series. The person's identity will probably blurred a few times too if we go along the status quo of the Nanamoriverse. And in the end she could always surprise us with something completely different if she decides to break her rules.
I feel like if any of Namori's series is gonna break the status quo and move on it's gonna be Oomuro-ke. If say, she reveals the girlfriend 5 or 10 chapters from now I wouldn't be that surprised.
I need to channel my inner erotic writer for this.
First of all, it all depends on what "move" you're thinking about.
If we go by the "corner into a wall and attempt kissing", she would at first think this is one of her jokes. Once she realizes there's nobody but them both around (and so there's no one else the joke could be directed at) she would get mildly nervous, thinking her senpai may pull out at the last second, as a sort of personal joke. At the moment of contact though, she would be incredibly surprised, but then any distress would flow away under Kyouko's rather agressive ministrations.
Being the energetic girl that she is, Sakurako would spare any sort of "waits" or "stops", seeing no problem grabbing her senpai again after she pulls out, into a second kiss.
My other guess is that they could both be playing something a bit physical for whatever reason (like the water fights in the OVA). As the game goes on, they fixate intensely on each other, their moves getting cockier and more daring. Once they reach hand-to-hand distance, Kyouko may steal a kiss, or may rub her body in a certain way. Instead of shying away, and relying on her own physical instinct for thought, Sakurako would retaliate just as daringly. The whole thing then devolves from wrestling into something +18 rated, without one or the other realizing what they just did, and what it means, until after the fact.
Based on her reactions when she felt that Himawari was being being away from her (the Chinatsu scarf incident and when Ayano was about to kiss her cheek) I imagine she would start waving her arms saying no, no, no and Himawari's face would pop into her mind, causing her great confusion.
>Why did I think of that oppai monster when Kyouko-senpai assaulted me? OH PUDDI
So, where I watch the show and my friends who watch the show, all seem to ship Kyoko x Ayano, including me. So I've always thought they are more popular than Kyoko x Yui, but I guess Japan's opinion is the one that will matter at the end, so, which one is more popular there?
I dont read the manga so I dont know anything beyond what I see on the show.
But desu, I hope that if some ships get to be canon at the end, it wont be Kyoko x Yui, because they are a cool pair of best friends and I like their dynamic that way.
As far as I know Namori likes the YuixKyouko and AyanoxChitose pairings, giving the latter quite a few nice moments lately, which is very welcome, these setups have nice chemistry to them. I wouldn't worry about anything canon though if I were you. We MIGHT learn who Nadeshiko's girlfriend is if we are lucky, but there will be no actual relationship besides that (with a very, very slim chance exception of Akari's and Chinatsu's older sisters)/
" desu senpai " is actually new for which I am fucking glad, I always enjoyed 4chan for not promoting chatspeak and shit like that, but those two have been rampant lately on many boards.
I like the way you think. It's too bad the Yurus don't age. I want to see older Kyouko's adventures in womanizing.
That's just when she's afraid someone will take Himawari away from her, though. Few of us have an instinctive negative reaction to being tempted ourselves. Even good girl Himawari was fine with letting Ayano kiss her.
Western people seem to ship Kyouko and Ayano.
Japanese people seem to ship Kyouko and Yui.
Why is it so?
What western people like: "in your face"-romance
Wat Japanese people like: "maybe, maybe not"-romance
Western people are always more direct while Japanese people leave things unspoken.
>Western people seem to ship Kyouko and Ayano.
Really? Cause I don't. I see other people here who don't. Have you taken a poll or something?
Yui and Kyoko are more evident than you're implying. Again, the clown-and-serious-pair is a standard and popular type of yuri ship for a reason.
The problem with that threesome is that it doesn't have the necessary dynamism to it. Yui doesn't feel anything towards Ayano and vice versa, without Kyouko it would fall apart rather quickly. When everyone is interested in everyone, then it's perfect.
It does, you can tell she's smitten just looking at her. Wonder when she'll figure it out.
>YuixKyouko moment already used up for the season
>Chitose gives the Ayanofans 2 nice scenes
So unfair, but a nice episode in general, it's very enjoyable to watch Ayano and Chitose interact with no tsundere antics.
This is a work of fiction. You can portray unrealistic but desirable things in it, like a club full of schoolgirl lesbians, or a stable three-way relationship.
That said I prefer Yui x Ayano. Kyouko's on the path to bed every girl at her college before finding one to settle down with.
I actually really like Yui x Akari. They'd make a cute, relaxed couple.
>It feels natural.
For me personally it feels very boring. AyanoxChitose have kinda an old grandparents dynamic. Eating biscuits, drinking tea and touching each others hand while nothing ever happens.
At least AyanoxKyouko is a bit more exciting with Kyouko making Ayano blush and forcing her outside.
Gotta love how Crunchyroll didn't immediately point out that this shirt wasn't 100% English.
Also glad to see Chitose's delusions are back with a vengeance. Screw the haters.
But if you didn't have friends, who would you have to unleash Starlight Breakers on?
>implying monogamy isn't the purest type of relationship
The yurus are very pure and innocent
Therefore they would all want to be in innocent monogamous relationships with their loved ones.
What an unpleasant way to talk about a sweet girl who seems to be practically raising her two sisters alone, while also dealing with the problems of being in a relationship while in the closet.
I enjoyed anything that got Kyouko to shut up. I don't know why I'm finding her so much more grating this season. And I've genuinely disliked Sakurako in the past and I'm rather enjoying her this season. Needs more AkaChina desu
>live in burgerland
How are you guys watching this?
>episode five of season 3
I'm surprised people have posted subs captures of some the scenes. This one for example:
Was nice to see Rise as well, even if just for a couple seconds. Hope we get a little bit of her and Nana and their highly illegal relationship before the season ends.
I hope they animate the silent/text-less chapter.
>just finished watching Madoka magica
>feels so bad want to kill myself
>realize new yuru yuri episode out
>finish episode feeling warm and fuzzy
This is why I love yuru yuri. No matter what mood I'm in it always makes me feel better.
Sometimes I forget that, despite her looks, Rise is 17/18, which kind of makes it even cuter it's more feasible for them to be together than if she were a first year.
wait no I'm totally retarded. She's a child, but I still love it.
