Let's discuss number /v.
FFXV, will it sell 10 million?
To put in perspective, to this date, MGSV has sold only 9 million copies, but that game had a 10 times lower budget.
Also, MGSV is not an RPG, it appeals much more to normies than FF.
So realistically speaken,
is there anybody here who believes this game will not flop? Please write down in a good reason why you think so.
Because spending 10 years on AAA video game development is hell lot of money, perhaps the most expensive game of all time.
hard to say, this game has had 10 years of dev time, the amount of money SE must have thrown into it by now should by all accounts be the most expensive videogame ever made on top of all the costs for the animated stuff around it, and still to this day they're more than happy to delay the game further to improve it rather than rush it out.
SE spoke too soon with the first tomb raider remake and called it a failure despite it selling a good few million copies so it depends how much money they've actually thrown into this game.
it's the half-life 3...

Why don't more games allow the player to kick the bad guy right on the balls? And if the villain is female, why not allow them to punch her in the taint?
There's more satisfaction in humiliating the opponent rather than outright killing them.
>Giving a villain an "honorable" death
What the fuck is this mentality. They kill hundreds of people, hurt countless others and do it all for themselves or they're own self-serving goals and you decide "man, I want to give them a noble death :)))"
Have you ever stepped outside your house you fag? People enjoy humiliating their rivals, even in war.
>you can kill God
>The MC gets a bittersweet ending
Or in another case
>The MC beats god with the power of friendship
>It's a mainline SMT
what was his fucking problem?
> play this game as a kid
> have a lot of trouble with it, just struggling to make it halfway through over the course of a year
> play it now
> 100% it in a day
Was I just a shitty kid or something?
Why does getting older make me care less and less about the substance of story in video games?
Why do so many Japanese games carry an anti-Christian message?
Tell me, /v/, if you can; you hate so much — what is it exactly do you like? Can you name even one game?... I thought not.
System Shock 2 > Deus_Ex
I wanna know who people think is the best.
It's a tough call to balance concept/design with the fight itself. But this fucker get's the cake.
>only one so far to vote for the clear winner
No, seriously what the fuck. I know next to nothing about the Shadow game and edgy memes but just listening to the theme song
How did adult men create shit like this? How did they expect people to take this seriously?
>How did adult men create shit like this?
Not hard to imagine given there are adult men who like it
>How did they expect people to take this seriously?
See above. Don't underestimate the depths of autism.
There's a market for everything.
Shadow's E10+ edgyness is just enough to hit "so bad, so good".
But garbage like Marlyn Manson and Chris Angel hits you like a brick to your gut while you were experiencing some of the best sleep your body was ever going to have.
Which games do little girls right?
Why in the fuck would they leave out the third dungeon?
>don't have any console
>PC version of the game is Origin exclusive
well I never wanted to play this shit game anyway
Cooking games for PC? Where are they?
Only decent one I've been able to find was Cook, Serve, Delicious.
Made me almost get a job at fast food places.
I know there is another cooking game, not bad at all, you even could prepare your own recipes, but I found it a long time ago and I can't remember the name. Searching "cooking videogame" on Google is pointless.
do you think they will sensor this in the remaster?
Picked this up during the sale
How the fuck am i supposed to progress in this game ? Quests give way too much exp and once a hero turns level 5, he's useless because i don't have enough gold to upgrade his shit and you HAVE to have upgraded shit if you don't want to die after the first champion level battle
Darkest Dungeon thread
When is Half Life 3?
What's going to happen with this?
It will be released behind even the most generous of deadlines.
It will be a good game in its own right but it will fail to live up to the unreal hype that surrounds it.
It will be living proof that the principle of diminishing returns does apply to money invested in game development.
It's going to feel good to fly around at first.
Then you will realize there is nothing to do and all the "procedurally generated" stuff actually feel the same at heart and you're doing the same things over and over.
A few autists will keep playing it. Most will quit after a week or two. Some will force themselves to play it a while longer because they paid so much money for it.
What the fuck is wrong with retarded /v/ mods?
History games thread. Post what you're playing and cool shit that should be made videogame.
I enjoy tycoon/management games, are there any good ones released in the last couple of years?
I'm looking forward to Transport Fever & Planet Coaster but they're coming out in November
What can I play this lovely Sunday?
way to go Todd
>go into game, explore some
>Oh cool, a new boss
>Gets me at 50℅, oh well
How is this allowed? There was someone like Rom and Father Gascoigne who fucked shit up and then there's these 1-2 try bosses. DS3 seemed harder at this point and managed to beat it first.
>souls game has a couple of retardedly easy bosses
wow, that has never happened before
Tbh 80℅ so far has been easy. Its still a good chunk of fun though
Dark Souls 3 could only be considered harder because it takes Bloodborne, cuts playable character speed in half and removes dashing, all while taking away the transformation weapons and tools that were designed with that gameplay in mind.
Say something nice about Anne.
>Game uses memes and references instead of original comedy
ITT: Moments in vidya that made you drop a game and never looked back, along with yfw
>Final Fantasy XIII-2
>"if you change the future, you change the past"
What is the guy in the middle thinking?
Will it be as reactive as Alpha Protocol? If so, incoming 10/10.
