What am I in for?
Maybe go play the motherfucking game first, THEN come back and make a shitty thread when you actually have an opinion.
>hey guys, I just bought a taco
>the taco is right here in front of me
>I'm about to eat the taco
>but first, what do you all think about tacos?
>what can I expect from this taco?
These threads aren't even made by people who just bought the game
They're there to allow antisoulsfags spam the thread with "most overrated game ever", "bad game XD" and "play The Witcher 3"
Yumi is for ___________
Burning in hell as penance for being the shit girl that she is
Ok, some criticism.
>no touch screen
Likely done to decrease production costs. Touch can be a gimmick, but the option is nice. Lots of 3DS and Vita games benefit from it, especially when compensating for the lack of tactile buttons. Also nice for messaging.
I don't see the benefit to fragmenting the controller. Accessories are a big part of console sales, especially controllers. It's so unappealing to use a candy bar sized rectangle that the consumer is practically forced to buy extra controllers for additional players. Which makes the switch feature sorta moot. Which sort of makes it a gimmick.
Releasing a peripheral that functions like a circle pad pro but as a full on controller and dock for the screen, makes more sense than swapping Jenga pieces.
We don't know the specs but we can look back at Nintendo's track record of releasing less powerful consoles alongside their competitors as a benchmark. The last time they were on par was with GameCube. But technology has ramped up heavily since then.
So it won't be on par with PS4 or Xbox One.
Take the Vita for example. At the start, people though it was a portable PS3. It wasn't, and some PS2 ports looked bad. Stuff like Killzone Mercenery and Tearaway isn't possible on PS2, which lands Vita between PS2 and PS3, but not on par with the latter.
>so what does this mean
It means that it might be comparable to the Wii U, or slightly stronger. But even with that strength, resolution is capped when portable regardless. It won't be a 4K device which is fine and is something that shouldn't be stressed.
TL;DR: Nintendo's device is a portable Wii U Pro, with chip based games, a gimmick default 2 player option, no touch controls, and will still be fine.
This reveal is proof that Nintendo is in their own world and doesn't care about the competition. Incredibly strange. They should really give more of a shit and try to rope in third party support.
>Touch can be a gimmick, but the option is nice. Lots of 3DS and Vita games benefit from it
I can't think of one example when touch screen was worth anything maybe except some adventure/puzzle games and even then it's a one time gimmick
I'm very negative to the Switch overall but I think their only chance is dropping touchscreen and shit like that to max battery life and drop support to 3ds so japans'll have to buy it
What's your favorite fighting game series and why? Rank them!
2: Mortal Kombat
3: Guilty Gear
4: Soul Calibur
5: Virtua Fighter
6: Dead or Alive
7: Street Fighter
Tekken is my favourite series, but aside from that the ranking is relative to current events. For example MK has risen alot since I liked MK9 and MKX, while SFV was and is still too incomplete a game. 4, 5 and 6 are ordered kind of randomly though. All three of those could use a new good game.
>Tekken Tag 2
>Soul Calibur 5
and then the other stuff.
KOF 14 is pretty fun though.
didn't have a chance to play guilty gear xrd yet
Blazblue was ok on PS3, taokaka and hakuman were pretty cool characters.
first one looks like he wants to die
What went right?
How did a blind cripple train Solid Snake?
Did Nintendo just kill the red dead hype? Wtf why would they do this
This is the best multiplayer shooter out right now, it is impossible to disagree
I disagree with you disagreeing, which cancels out your disagreement thereby making the OP correct.
Are there any games that let me hunt heroes?
AMDkeks blown the fuck out as usual
In their own sponsored games too
So what would a Switch Blanc be like? Lots of henshin scenes?
So why should I spend $60 on Battlefield 1 when 2142 is literally free and way better?
Seriously though these look like they'd be terribly uncomfortable to actually use to play anything (and seriously limits control options in games that support it)
They had it almost perfect, why did they have to throw this terrible gimmick in too?
>How the fuck are they they drifting?
>Doesn't Mario Kart require a fucking trigger button to start drifting?
All screens are simulated.
That's what concerns me. What do the games actually look like?
have nintendo opened themselves to competing against apple?
if apple got half-serious about gaming on ipads and officially released something like this for their new ipad minis, would third parties just abandon nintendo again?
explain this shit
who are you gonna play as first?
what type of victory will you go for?
thread theme song:
You will never be the young pretty boy in a crowd of milfs
I want to make a small island into nothing but districts as Japan. One big megaregion.
Probably gonna go Arabia. Mixing science and religion is right up my alley.
Type of victory, unsure. Probably same as always, science unless I snap and kill everyone (it happens pretty often) or an opportunity for something else presents itself
Why do play testers have to ruin everything?
Yes. The commentary tracks in Valve games about the playtesters are embarassing.
Because playtesters/QA people aren't brought in to make games fun. They hire braindead people to come in and walk against walls until the game glitches, record the instance, then rinse repeat ad nauseum. Sometimes it results in dumbing down if enough of them make the same mistakes, but examples like HL2 and Dishonored are more exceptions than the rule.
t. someone who used to do QA work
>Mainline Pokémon no longer held back by shitty hardware limitations
>May actually get over 100 Pokémon for the first time in 2 generations
>Civ 6 download is finished
>Install while making Eggs & Bacon, for a delicious breakfast
>Grab coffee and wrap myself in blankie
There's something just so relaxing about Civilization games. Especially on day 1 of it's release. Who /comfy/ as fuck here?
Why this game is not on consoles? The interface seems adaptable for a controller
Name my band /v/
So who's ready for 150 more hours of troy boys sexy cowboy voice in rdr2? I know I am
How do you feel about this?
>I didn't buy Civ6
>I didn't fall for the Civ6 meme
It feels good.
Will VR make you gay?
games our home boards would cream over if made

>average nintenfag's idea of gaming
