Finally I got around to play this game. Just killed Gore Magala for the first time. I used lance up to this point, but tried the great sword on Gor Magala because of the fire damage.
The Zamtrios armor looks pretty cool, but I don't see much use in that carnivore skill. What armor should I forge next?
Monster Hunter Thread
so /v/, opinions on this lovely piece of literature?
>Guild really needs healers
>They all start telling me to make one
What am I supposed to do?
As a healer you're extremely valuable, though you'll rarely get credit for it.
If you don't like healing, don't do it.
If you'd rather play solo, don't do it.
If you've never tried healing, it might be fun depending on the game and how shit your guildmates are.
Have you ever played a game where your most memorable playthrough was the second time?
Came out a couple of years ago but he goes more in-depth with this than his actual review of BioShock Infinite
>let's have a commentary on another asshole's commentary on a piece of media we consumed
>be sure to watch and support other asshole's commentary, his opinion matters so much we advertise for him!
I never understood people's need to market somebody else's opinion until I realized every single person who does it is trying to market and make money off of their own opinions.
It's no different than seeing vacuous...

I don't agree. His points for why Infinite's ending doesn't suck is because:
-It stuck in his mind
-It provokes discussion
I don't believe those are good points to use to decide if an ending to a video game is good.
His comments about Infinite being filled with unnecessary stuff I agree with though.
>The Nintendo NX
Just wait for the inevitable solo NXDS pack once Nintendo realises no one wants to pay $600 for a handheld console that comes with an unsupported brick
The NX will be the Wii U done right. Great power, non asymmetrical multiplayer and a huge userbase since kids will buy it en masse. Most people still use their handhelds at home, so it'd be like using the tablet on its own.
If you were a nintendofag like you say you are, you'd know the Wii U has a ton of great games in it, and you would be playing them right now, so fuck off, falseflagger.
Not a falseflagger, and I hope they turn their shit around. I just don't really enjoy any of the games other than Smash, DK, and Mariomaker. Zelda and Starfox were probably my two biggest selling points besides Smash
Name me one RTS better than this
>pro tip: you can't
So, what are you playing in your x-mas vacation?
Has anyone here tried the modern VR? If so, how is it? (No Virtual Boy memes pls)
It is incredibly immersive.
The way I feel right now is that if they can manage to produce even a handful of objectively decent games for the various headsets, and enough people try them, word of mouth alone will propel their acceptance.
Its something else when your brain is tricked into thinking it is inside a new environment.
It's amazing. I mean it's literally like playing with another dimension.
There are some games (horror games) which suck ass on a 2d monitor and you basically have to scare yourself but trust me in VR when you turn around and something is literally staring at you like 3 inches from your face it's a whole nother experience. Anyone on this site that memes against it has never tried it
Why did pressure sensitive buttons die? Sure, not every game used them, but the ones that did usually did it well
Well let the leak's begin.

Alright, so I've been PvPing for the last 2-3 hours. Not a single win. I'm getting my ass kicked.
I literally have no idea how people are getting backstabs on me, or why I'm not getting backstabs on them. I mean I'm not focusing on backstabbing them but I'm trying when I get a window.
I parry, riposte and backstab everything that you can do any of these things to perfectly in PvE.
Why is it so hard in PvP?
>inb4 casul, git gud
I'm looking for serious tips here.
Here's a secret, dude.
Dark Souls PVP fucking sucks. So does PVP in any of the Souls game.
The games are fun to play PVE. And I guess there's some fun in getting invaded by an asshole and having to fend for yourself.
But don't go actively looking for it.
In Dark Souls mostly the hardcore players that know the game from day one are still active.
Japanese players in general backstab fish you to death.
Unless you have some serious skill, you better have a perfectly planned build.
If you want to get some cheap kills, you could always cast tranquil walk of peace and reverse wrath of god your victims.
Also learn to toggle escape, dead angle if you like to use heavy weapon and also learn the cheap backstab tricks.
No fun involved either way.
S'up /v/irgins, got a friend looking to play some JSFR on an xbox original emulator, any of you cunts know which one is the best and how well it runs? Cheers guys
