Will there ever be an open world game that feels even remotely alive?
Welp, never played a DQ game before, and in fact never really played a JRPG before for more than like 5 minutes. I gotta say, this is one charming little game. I'm super in to the story, and I've always been a dialogue kind of anon so this is right up my alley. Plus the combat feels like Pokemon on steroids.
Are most JRPGs as good as this? I'm only at the 3rd discovered island with all the people who are turned to stone. It's really quite great.
Dragon Quest Thread I guess.
I mean no, not most rpgs are as good as this but there is a good bunch of good ones out there.
I'd look up the other games in the series especially 8 and 4-5-6.
Dark Chronicles, Nino Kuni and maybe the older classics like Secret of Mana, Tales of phantasia and chrono trigger might be up your alley.
Why aren't there more video games about pirates?
black cat for ps2
pirates of the carribean for psp, and probably some other ports
asscreed 4, which is probably the best pirate experience you can get and the worst general gaming experience otherwise
Sid Meier's Pirates!
Pirates of dark water, a beat em up for snes
Cutthroat island for snes a shitty platformer
monkey island 1-3 point and click adventures
All i can think of for now.
>blizzard loses 15 senior devs this year alone
>this is the new face of blizzard entertainment
It's actually a good thing a lot of the old guys are leaving, their lack of passion really hurt the quality of the games, they should have retired years ago
But /v/ will pretend they always loved Metzen now that he left
Broke 100 hours on this and have throughly enjoyed, curious to what others thoughts on it are?
>killing mobs in 2-3 hits at early levels
>can tank 5 mobs of equal level and not even come close to dying
I despise shit like this, it completely kills my desire to keep levelling. Which is a shame, because I think they had a lot of neat ideas in there. Captain was fun as fuck.
Hey /v/, I'm a poorfag trying to build my first gaming PC. I've got a budget of about $750 and I've been trying to decide between getting an i3 6100 or an i5 6500 CPU. Obviously the i5 is the all around better choice, but it's like $100 more expensive than the i3 and I was wondering if the performance boost that you'd get from the i5 is really worth the extra cash.
Whichever CPU I get would probably be paired with either a 1060 or a 480.
Would the 6100 be good enough for 1080p 60 fps?
The great debate.
I never played the 64/GameCube version but I had a fuckton of fun with WW and CF.
For some reason New Leaf felt pretty meh to me, even though every AC game is literally the same as the previous but with new shit.
I liked New Leaf for its QoL improvements, but GCN and Wild World just had more charm, not to mention better soundtracks, more holidays, better villager interactions, etc. Gamecube AC even had NES games.
I definitely don't miss having to get fossils back by mail though, or try donating something to Blathers in WW to find out I had already donated it.
The curved view of WW is definitely something they should have kept for New Leaf, but was inexplicably removed for a top down view.
Are there any games where the luck stat is overpowered?
except for us it works in reverse
There are literally zero PC games out right now that interest me. Absolutely none.
I'm so bored I'm about to start fucking reading books.
Buy Kero Blaster. It's a pretty fucking good platformer that should last you at least a couple days.
If you like puzzle games, check this little freeware gem out:
>It’s called consolidation. Strengthen governments and corporations, weaken individuals. With
Deus Ex thread, this can be done imperceptibly over time.
I'm getting sick of
ambrosia in a warehouse protected by cameras and booby traps.
Anyone here know about Gloria Victis?
Its a 20 dollar medieval MMO style game in early access with frequent updates. It has a very in depth crafting systemas well. There's 2 factions that capture certain castles on the map. Pretty good so far for alpha. They are going to re do the animations soon.
>ITT: the ones you couldn't
Adjudicator Burst Laser Mk. II Flak Cannon Pegasus
This asshole. I haven't tried in a long time but I remember never being able to beat him.
What do you virgins think about hearthstone? Is it even talked about here?
Why was Chloe Valens so cute?
Holy shit, what went so wrong? Why not simply use the original models?
unfairly dead franchises
I don't want to say you can blame Inafune...but you can blame Inafune.
Flagship, who was a key developer for the series is long dead and Inafune was the guy who was deadset on putting celebrities in the series.
I understand why she's called Green Satan now. Holy shit.
And then she becomes Umaru in DR3
I can't think of a single good video game based on a childhood cartoon. Is there one?
Hey! i wanted to get peoples thought on Tom Clancy rainbow 6 SIEGE! I've been playing the game for a quite long time now, and ive noticed a ton of inconsistencies and problems with networking/ping, hit detection, and simply some mechanics of the game not working as intended. I wanted to know if my experiences are the common with this game, or if im way off base.
so, anybody on /v/ play a lot of SIEGE? do you ever have issues with the game that you just cant stand? in general, how do people on /v/ like Rainbow 6 Siege?
Which one did it best?
>here's your new Metroid figure, bro
How do you RPGfags feel knowing the best D&D game is a beat'em up?
Is /v/ excited?
Tell me about this game. Apparently it's getting a PC release soon and I'm not sure if I should pay money for it.
Path of Exile
"Get this fucking guy off me, Fox!"
Did anyone else think that line was a bit out of place?
"I can see the look on those stupid fuckers!"
What did he mean by this?
>"I'm Falco! Fuck!"
Seemed a little dark for a Nintendo game.
how do I get good at playing Second Life? what's the point of this game?
They should make it so it does less damage the farther away you are from the bomb up, that way it remains helpful while trying to clear an objective and it rewards you for using it when the enemy doesn't have their escapes ready.
