What are some good crpgs for someone who's new to the genre?
Repostan since apparently you were not in that particular D:OS thread yesterday.
Anon whose crpg thread just died, if you are here, I missed your thread by seconds, but this is what I'd suggest.
You might want to try BG2. Since your problem with PoE was that there's "not much going on", you'd probably find BG1 agony, even though I don't really like recommending skipping it. But BG2 has a much stronger start and shows its best in the first half rather than starting painfully slow and gradually picking up steam like the first game.

SON OF MAN
You-you aren't going to try to kill me tomorrow, are you ?
Your creator ?
2016 was not a kind year for gamers. Most of the games we've waited for since 2015 have been pushed back even farther, or not even announced at all (Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom). A lot of the games that were released were either disappointing or were lacking in replayability.
Which 2016 releases have you put off buying until a major sale?
How can they get away with this? How is paying 30€ for a 720p stream OK in this day and age? Netflix offers 4K streaming for less than half the price.
So is this worth playing or should I read a summary
Explain what this stat does.
What is a man?
What was the deal with that ending?
Pic related arrived today. It fucking sucks. It's nice that it's an actual game but it's boring and repetitive as all shit.
Are you playing on Normal or something?
It should either be beating your ass or you should be enjoying the challange and the reperoire of weapons you can counter it.
100hours in and I can see myself put in another 100-150 even though I've already went through HARD with friends
Almost a year on. Is it worth getting?
Its filled with a small, rabid playerbase who have been playing since release. Expect lots of camping, namecalling and metagaming.
But will probably be worth it when the death star dlc hits.
What game is this?
Also; FPS RPG thread

>Teacher imediately gets bootyblasted for some reason and says that the girl who plays vidya is the same as a drug addict because video games are bad
>The only ones who play them are children or manchildren

Is Life is Strange the most recognisable Square IP in the western world since Final fantasy ?
You made sure to protect her smile, right?

Enjoy never reading anything worthwhile
Which games have likeable protagonists?
Try to say something nice.
Welp, I've done it,
after all these years, I've done it.
Are you happy now Todd?
Oh, and before you threaten me with a grenade again,
I've done this as well.
I hope you're happy
>STILL no n3DS port
God damn it, I just want to be able to play every mainline game on the same system.
>inb4 hardware limitations
They were able to port MGS3, Tales of the Abyss and DQVIII, and that's with the old 3DS hardware.
3DS hardware is pretty good, it is more powerful than PS2 that's for sure, still the conventional port won't do on this system, 3ds adaptation requires a lot of work and money.
Tales of the Abyss and Xenoblade are relatively niche games and they got ported.
Meanwhile SMT hype is at an all time high with IVF and Persona 5.
If they put a couple of anime meme ads on cancer sites like crunchyroll it'll sell well.
Mariachi or el blanco, /v/?
I need witches. Video game witches. Preferably ones you get to play as. What's your favorite video game with a (cute) witch?
Picked it up today, dropped it harder than a sack of puppies
Note that I was never a fan of Ster Wars universe. The whole concept is pretty cool, but other than that it's another generic underdog protagonist story blah blah blah (not the game, but the basis of the film.) It's too light-hearted for a galatic wars.
>PS4 pro support confirmed at launch
>Next ATR for September 30th
cute girl op
do you have any more?
I honestly can't fucking wait for this game.
This fight on the PS4 Pro and my new TV is gonna be fucking great.
How do I make myself finish this game?
I played up to the big tank mission, which I've heard was a first wall for many players. Although I didn't quit because it was too hard, I haven't even tried it once.
I've been wanting to get into tactics/SRPG lately, and managed to finish FFT. But I'm having trouble with VC and Disgaea.
I like the setting, characters, music, art style, but I guess I'm having problems with the core gamepaly. Which is odd, because I like the classic TB/ATB JRPGs.
>Big tank mission
I'm guessing you're referring to the bigass tank with Maximillian in it. Just have a bunch of Lancer's shoot the turrets and have engies resupply them before bombing the engines after they open up. You're only fucked when the Big Titty Valkyrie appears.
As for Disgaea, how far are you? I can help a lot better if I know exactly where you're stuck.
I'm playing this for the first time, I just beat Fatman and I can't get over how fucking fun this game is.
Relatively mundane environment and premise, but it's like fucking cocaine. When I turn the game off, I want to turn it back on after 5 minutes.
What are some other games that did this for you?
Others that come to mind to me are Red Dead Redemption, Bayonetta, Spelunky, God Hand and RE4.
Gameplay is king I guess.
Are the Souls sequels even worth playing after having beaten the first one? Apparently everyone likes that one the most anyway.
No. DS2 is irredeemable trash and DS3 is Fromsoft having run out of ideas and reusing items and locations. The combat is more fast-paced and sword arts add another layer of depth to the combat, but those improvements become meaningless when poise has been disabled and straight swords are the only viable weapons. Magic is not viable either.
I played the game on release, so they may have fixed some of these issues, but nothing they could possibly patch in would raise this game to more than a three out of five.
I played first one for 200 hours, 2nd one for 500 hours and 3rd one for 80 hours.
People like different things. 2nd ended up being my favorite out of all souls, didn't like demon's much. I suggest you at least try them out, you might be surprised.
inb4 meme meisters crucify me for liking 2.
What did they mean by this?
Why aren't there any above average digimon games?
HOLY FUCK I CANT EVEN FUCKING FIGHT THIS CUNT
WHEN I JUMP INTO THE SECOND ROOM HE DOES THIS MAGIC BULLSHIT AND BAM IM DEAD
