Has a game ever given you goose gobblers?
>a rat attacks your party
>intense orchestral battle music starts playing
What are your pet peeves of bad sound/music design in vidya?
Was this /v approved or normie game. I have it but haven't started playing it. Too busy with work
oh hot damn, lets have a VTMB thread
>want to download SSX 3
This is the only possible context in which /v/ would pretend they give a fuck about The Sims post-2004: To bitch about SJW's
ITT: villains who did nothing wrong
I'm finally free from college classes (compsci).
I want to use this time to start learning to make games.
Unity or Unreal Engine for a simple RPG?
Remember you need to learn Blender as well if you don't use Gamemaker or RPGmaker. I think it's harder to learn how to use that than Unity.
Need to watch tutorials next on how to paint directly on the 3d model since I can't get that shit to work right at the moment. Pretty sure I unwrapped the UV mesh but I mighta fucked it up.
How much of a fan are you of weebgames? Be honest.
As an oldfag, what the fuck is a "weeb" game?
> Anything from Japan
Ok, out of the dozens of consoles and hundreds of games I've played, unquestionably I prefer Japanese games.
Retarded, but still prefer most golden age ps1 jrpgs and the genre as a whole compared to bethesda, eidos, bioware etc. A few exceptions to slav magic and indie titles, but by and large AAA western rpgs are dry.
> games that have any a nome influence
So western games too?...

Hey guys, I want to know what is different between the original console version of Dark Souls (preferably PS3 because I have played it) and the "prepare to die" edition. I am extremely intrigued to buy it for PC. Don't comment on its poor port on the PC because that is totally fixable with the DSfix mod.
This is a Japanese spearman (female)
Who are you rooting for /v/
No need to pretend like You're not watching it.
I fully bleed blue.
WHAT THE FUCK
Make it vidya
Star Fox Zero is, in my mind, easily the most technically complex and deep game made in the past decade. Now that I'm really starting to make strides into constantly improving my scores it's really becoming evident that the game never stops giving.
I haven't been so addicted to a game since, and I am not exaggerating here, God Hand. The game never stops rewarding you once you begin to become dedicated and start improving.
It's a game where you can never stop 'gitting gud.'...

> A game that was poorly received critically can't possibly be good!
I like how no one ever addresses just 'why' this game supposedly isn't very fun to play without referring to a single autistic infograph that was written by someone who had not even touched the game, let alone understood it.
Just started an Arcane build, what's the earliest weapon or gem i can get?
Where do I get the emblem?
I went down and beat the blood starved beast. Where the fuck do I go next? All the gates are either closed by a device or need some emblem.
>inb4 git gud
>"A story in a video game is like a story in a porno movie. It is possible but not necessary."
Go play your movies, storyfags
Battlefront 2 had a pretty weird campaign.
>Clones vs Rebels
>Empire vs Droids
>Empire vs Droids in space
>Empire vs Clones
You don't even get to fight actual Rebels until the last few missions.
I always look at its campaign as a three hour tutorial for. I used to spend hundreds of hours playing Battlefront 2. I played the PC version, I bought an OG Xbox, a copy of the game, and four controllers just so I could play splitscreen when I had friends over
Why did Square drop Luminous Studio for KH3 and FF7R?
Because western engines are cheaper to license than to create completely new enignes, they're easier to use, already work with PC, PS4, Xbone and probably even phones with support for future consoles like Switch, they're pretty advanced, optimized and in case of UE4, it's already fully documented in multiple languages, especially including Japanese.
Is anybody playing this? I think is good
Stop playing easy mode.
>play on easy mode
>game is too easy, breeze through everything
>play on normal
>still too easy
>play on hard mode
>only difference is that your weapon damage is nerfed and enemy health bars are inflated
the forced stealth in this game is so stupid
The "forced stealth" in the early chapters was fucking awesome though. Warping around fucking up imperials and metal gears like you're raiden. I wish there was more of that shit. Instead we got 2 hours of the worst stealth gameplay imaginable in chapter 13.
wow, I sure do love the sims 4
this game is severely underrated
Are there any good Blade Runner - like games?
Specifically grungy, scifi neon-punk worlds with a baddass character solving mysteries and shit?
I played pic related as a kid and remember thinking it was really good. Are there contemporary equivalents? Doesn't need to actually be Blade Runner, just similar.
Does it have to be contemporary?
Was doing work shit and the thread died. The world looks pretty, but how's the exploration? Interesting stuff to find or empty world? Give me your best stories
I dont have it but it got me interested, although 60 euros its too much for me, is it worth it if i pick it up in a sale or something?
Dumbest soundtrack I've ever heard in a JRPG, and weak story and characters, with some pretty cringeworthy anime writing and dialogue, but the other aspects are pretty solid, especially the world and exploration.
What went wrong?
Should I buy it /v/?
If you have Skull Girls you get a coupon for Infinite Duel. So pretty much everyone who likes fighting games on PC got a coupon.
It's actually really fun,
especially if you have friends.
Just got Pikmin 3 but never played the original.
They all cost about the same so which version should I get /v/ original on Gamecube or New Play Control on Wii? Which is better and why?
Everyone is in agreement that the Wii port is superior because of the remote + nunchuk controls, you can even download it on the Wii U eshop, but if you prefer to use a standard controller then the gcn version is what you want.
Depends on what control scheme you liked using in Pikmin 3. If you liked using wiimote, new play control edition. If you liked using gameplay or a pro controller, gamecube version is probably more up your alley. In terms of quality, the wii port and gc version are the same but wii version has some minor additions like being able to throw backwards and since you're using the wiimote, you can throw slightly further as well iirc.
Either one works. I found the c-stick controls as very useful for the original GameCube version, but I've heard that the Wii version did remarkably well with it's motion controls and pointing at the screen. On a plus side, the Wii version is playable on Wii U.
I had fun.
