I'm finally gonna try getting into the Ys series. Starting from the beginning with Ys I.
What difficulty should I start with? Don't want to hate everything about the game before giving it a chance.
Normal. Hard may be too hard right at the beginning of your first game, and Nightmare... well, let's just say there are 2 bosses in Ys I that will have you crying tears of blood if you choose Nightmare. Leave it for a 2nd or 3rd playthrough.
What's your most plausible dream game that will never exist?
Finally on the last game in my backlog: Baldur's Fucking Gate 2
The size of this game is completely fucking nuts. The side quests actually feel like adventures. Why isn't there stuff like this anymore?
UPDATE ANY MOMENT NOW
Sum up a video game with a Spongebob quote.
Wait a minute, Patrick... I'M the maniac!
A magical video game wizard appears and gives you the chance to interact with these extremely specific video game worlds.
You can only choose one.
Fuck these guys
>Beat them on my second go.
I found slims to be the worst, simply getting hit by one, or the other in the back really sucked. I understood how to beat them on my second go though, and destroyed them.
I thought fatty was tougher. I'm doing a strength build with zweihander / black knight halberd, I pretty much two hitted slims
The pillars were my only friends during electro-tubs
R8 and H8
Can we talk about how great this game is?
Like, I'm really blown away by just how well crafted this game is. It's one of the most complete games I've played in a long time.
I mean it's got everything I wanted. Challenge, decent story, exploration, great weapon selection and even the graphics and music feel well suited to the setting.
It's fantastic, really. I wish I'd played this sooner. Has the guy made any games other than Cave Story because I need to play them.
What's there to say?
I wouldn't call it perfect or flawless, I just can't really think of anything wrong with it.
It's clearly something made with care by someone who took their time to get everything how they wanted it.
Independent... Provocative... Beautiful...
What other words can you think of that describe Rise Kujikawa?
Never played Morrowind, but for those who think it's better than 'rim, why? What gameplay elements was Skyrim lacking?
Or is it just nostalgiafags that think Morrowind is better?
Quests and story, also locations were more unique and memorable in morrowind. At first I thought skyrim was better but now I'd say morrowind is when I finally gave it a chance and played it some more
So which of the storm series is worth playing? And is Revolution even worth bothering with on the PC before 4 is released?
Mega Drive, Saturn or Dreamcast?
Hard to pick, I love them all.
At first I'd say Megadraibu, but Dreamcastu is slowly stealing my heart.
Bracketfag here. I know it's been a while but we're going to start the seeding process for the GOTY tournament for this year. Pic related is last year's "most overrated" tourney. We will do one of those as well but first we will do this.
Pay close attention
>List 1-5 games you honestly believe were objectively the best games to come out in 2014. IF YOU ARE LISTING MORE THAN ONE GAME, LIST THEM STARTING WITH THE GAME YOU BELIEVE IS THE BEST AND THEN NOVE DOWN THE LIST, this is important for the seeding process.
