Can Uncharted 4 beat Uncharted 2?
Now that the snow has settled, what does /v/ think of Skyrim?
Great game, a milestone in role playing games and a hall mark in the series. The game did what so many has failed to do before and broke into mainstream pop culture, attracting quite a number of gamers who have either never played an RPG game or generally just didn't play much video games in general. With its streamlined gameplay and vast locales, as well as its dual ongoing storyline, it successfully brings true open world role play into the modern and console age.
I know you're playing pretend shill, but I do find it incredible that Bethesda managed to bring a once-niche genre screaming into the mainstream by just removing a few things. And yes, I'm talking about removing them from Oblivion - Oblivion from Morrowind was a huge downgrade compared to Skyrim to Oblivion.
ITT: what's you're local fighting game scene like?
Utahbro here, its just Smash and Street Fighter. I like KI, NRS games and am trying to get into Tekken and Anime fighters, so only having a scene for smash and sf is frustrating beyond belief.
>tfw no local scene anymore
Rhode Islandfag here, used to be a scene a few years ago, but as far as I've seen it's gone entirely silent. During the peak we had basically everything from SF to Smash to Tekken to mahvel to MK to SoulCal and even Arcana Hearts. Nowadays the closest scene I've found is somewhere in Boston.
ITT: WE write a letter to Todd Howard thanking him for fallout 4 and not lying. Posts with excessive characters will not be included. I'll start:
ITT: Games you could finish because you're too scared.
>tfw you weren't into star wars growing up
>tfw you missed out on great games like SotE, KOTAR, Rouge Squadron, and the Battlefronts
Star Wars gaming thread? What games still hold up today? I played the shit out of Pod Racer on the 64 but that's about it.
Should I buy an X360 now, /v/?
I want to play Lost Odyssey (which I already played the first disc), Blue Dragon, Gears of War, Halo and Ace Combat 6
It's fairly cheap in my country right now, but I'm still on the fence
Would you guys recommend it? Also, any other hidden gems?
Yea, games are cheaper than they ever will be.
I can reccomend Tales of Vesperia, Nier, Binary Domain, Way Of The Samurai 3, Halo 3 ODST, Earth Defense Force 2025, Killer Is Dead, Gears of War series.
It's worth it if you haven't had a console in a while, you have 10 years of game releases that are now really cheap to go through.
So I know /v/ hates the ever-living fuck out of this game, so I'll be brief.
I downloaded UT during the Steam sale last week and got the neutral, "love everyone" happy ending, and the genocide ending. When reading up on the genocide run I saw a bunch of people moaning about how they couldn't do it because they were too attached to the characters and they didn't want to fuck up future runs of the happy endings.
Who gives a fuck? I had no attachment to the meme characters, nor did I get why people had such a hard time playing this like you...

Yes Man is the best character in New Vegas and more well-written than any character in Fallout 4.
The companions in FO4 were alright
>one of the toughest dungeons is in the first town
>Let's hear your game idea. Make it quick.
>giving my 9/10 concept to some spic so they can steal it and make living of it
No thanks lol
Is there a peripheral like this for the PC?
While mouse aiming is superior, analogue is objectively better than WASD
You can use the Wiimote + nunchuck on PC. I guess not all games allow you to use both a controller and m&k but plenty do.
And yes there are many shovelware accesories like that for PC. They're useless.
>While mouse aiming is superior, analogue is objectively better than WASD
Careful, don't get the mustards started.
They will insist to the bitter end that a device specifically designed for controlling movement in a video game is inferior to a keyboard, something that was designed for fucking typing and not video games at all long before video games existed.
"RPG" in this day and age includes any game where you can name your character.
And if you can't, it's called a JRPG.
This guy's gets it
Feels bad man, literally every Rpg that is just you with no party should just be Adventure games instead, but then people get needless technical with terms ties irrelevant histories to justify the classification, irks me so much
Post bad character designs here.
looks like a high level world of warcraft character
