>die more than thrice
>Nintendo treats me like a child and gives me a tool to cheese through the whole level
Why is this legal?
so that the gamer (child) will never improve, never seek to improve, and thus remain placid and stupid: the perfect consumer for more mario / nintendo franchised dookie droplets coming soon to Nintendo® Switch™. better pre-order!
You don't have to pick it up. It's there for kids that want the easy way out, really young kids that don't have a grip on the controls but still want to learn to play, or absolute shitters.
What game lets me add a little salt?
What does /v/ think of this game?
>this is the best ac game ever made
Prove me wrong.
Also no shit pc posters allowed.
Why aren't you guys talking about this?
>starship is defending the cast of Final Fantasy in a Theatrhythm game
>Arthas vs Unkindled
>Paladin vs Undead
Wouldn't even know I'm in danger til Arthas cuts my fucking head off
The sniper from team fortress classic vs Isaac from TBOI wrath of lamb
Honestly, sniper would win, but what with Isaac's item synergies, who knows what could happen. Both characters are situationally strong.
Turn based combat is an inherently flawed mechanism that is ONLY excusable in tabletop
Video game turn based combat has its quirks and is not wholly undesirable or outright bad.
name one non-jrpg game you'd rather have a remake of than this
Post games that made you feel warm and fuzzy inside
>Ni No Kuni 2
>Gravity Rush 2
>Yakuza 0, Kiwami and 6

What's /v/ opinion on Fallout 4's story and its characters?
How would you do a third person Metroid? I think Other M was a good start, but it needs to have zero cut scenes, more environments than just the ship, and a more consistent camera
In my opinion, Metroid as a design philosophy is defined by the Shine Spark. So the controls should be something like Crackdown in order to accommodate high speed 3D platforming and third person shooting. They cut down on her platforming ability too much in Project M, which made it really unsatisfying. It is understandable that she would have to be dialed back from the 2D games in order to prevent levels from sprawling too much but they went too far.
ITT: Games that were better than they had any right to be.
What did she mean by this?
>Draw distance very low
>Grass density low
Just buy all your vidya on a generational gap. That way you can play all the blockbusters in their slightly cheaper remastered ports. I'll be playing BotW in 1080p at 60fps on the Switch 2 oh wait nevermind
>Sony presents an amazing conference with lots of exclusive games for 2017
>/v/ still says it's shit and shitposts relentlessly
Why is /v/ so vehemently biased against Sony?
What do you choose /v/?
When thinking about the cool armor, just think of your favorite armor of any game.
I played Witcher 3 the last time I did this.
I liked the cat stats. But ursine looks so damn comfy.
in 3 months, Nintendo Switch is coming out.
Let's see what games it has for the release.....Zelda..oh wait that's been delayed....well are you gonna by an empty console in 3 months /v?
>When you have to tell yourself its not real
Running in real-time on PS4Pro.
Anyone kind of sick of physically based rendering in games? I much preferred the look of artist-driven shaders from the late 2000s.
I couldn't give a hoot of assets and effects being rendered physically correct, games are an abstract medium and having every game use the exact same shading method is starting to make games less visually interesting as a whole.
Reminder that Best Buy is having a Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale on PS4/Xbone games.
I think there might be some weird exclusions like Uncharted 4 and Minecraft. It even excludes pre-orders. Probably stacks with GCU, though.
Water you gonna get?
I recently got a PS4 and have been out of gaming for quite a long time. Any recommendations for must-have games on PS4?
And here's a page on Best Buy's web site to the promo:
Which game is better?
What did he mean by this?
So this isn't happening ever now right?
So tell me /v/. What are the differences betwen WRPGs and JRPGs?
One are shitty "character-driven" action games.
The others are shitter waifu/husbando driven action games half of the time or are quaint turn-based otherwise.
They all suck, though. Good RPGs died in the 2000s.
>emphasis on player choice
>very customizable in many aspects
>generally not open-world
>combat is either turn-based menu based, or a hybrid of real-time with menus
>not as open-ended,...

Has bullying gone too far in video games?
How does a game that came out in 2012 have better facial animation than a game that will come out in 2017?
Quake 2 shits on the first one as well as Doom.
Quake 2 was a fucking disaster. It had gimped movement from Quake 1 because of limited air control. Also the stop and pop gameplay was terrible. Quake 2 was the beginning of the end of the FPS genre. Now fuck off (You) clearly have abysmal taste.
Remember when Resident Evil wasnt casual?
I like both really.
Limited inventory works well with survival horror and forces you to be careful with what you take from the safe room since you have to make sure you have a bit of space for key items you'll find.
Tetris inventory systems are just fun to play with on their own.
>Start out like 100 feet from the shotgun
>Entire game is linear and wide open corridors so you can just walk right past zombies, as if having quick turn wasn't already enough
Why yes I do remember when RE went casual
