Do you think pixel art is just an easy way out, or can it be nice?
It can definitely be done well. Even if it's not, sometimes indie devs don't have the resources to make good graphics. If it's just one guy who's good at programming, I'd rather have a fun game with kinda terrible graphics than none at all, y'know? Like, Mega Man 2's graphics aren't great, but it's still fun as hell.
I'm making an RPG right now and I'm trying to decide between SNES type graphics or something high resolution but simple like this
I feel it's most important that a game has an art direction. You can have pixel art but no art direction, just as you can have AAA unreal 4 super cinematic graphics but no art direction.
>he isn't playing REmake, one of the top 10 games ever released, right now
>he isn't enjoying the fantastic replayability of the RE series before the release of RE 0 HD in two weeks
>he isn't playing with Chris Redfield, the canon playthrough, on hard mode
>he isn't getting scared as fuck because of crimson heads
What the fuck are you doing, /v/? How hyped are you for RE 0 HD? I have never played it and I can't wait...

Well, fuck you very much for not posting here!
>"I am sorry I pretended to be kidnapped and then told the guards you kidnapped me. But you will still help me be Queen, right? Also don't kill my dad."
Who is the console equivalent of John Carmack?
Also general John Carmack appreciation thread.
Does this game get any better?
played an hour of it and really didnt enjoy it
really considering a refund
unfortunately its an empty sandbox, they really bombed with this one. they went out of their way to make progression as slow and painful as possible with retarded races through rings nobody wants to do. the world is beautiful but there is no real gameplay. i've gotten my hours out of just flying around the island and making my own objectives though
After an hour they've introduced basically all the gameplay mechanics, and aside from some tougher mercs and two vehicles with force fields about a third of the way in, the game doesn't ever get any more challenging, so if you're not enjoying it, it only gets repetitive from there.
I like it but it still feels like they missed out on a lot of improvements or advancements over JC2.
What games can reveal my
HE DID LITERALLY NOTHING WRONG
You're going to jail for the next decade and you are allowed to bring 5 games, any console, offline or online, with you. What do you play?
Are you manly enough to use pink gamepad?
You have a virtually unlimited budget due to the insane success of gta 6 and they want you to make something TRULY game changing. How do you do it?
Note that the computing technology is leagues ahead from now meaning it can handle things not even quad SLI titans can.
GTA set in a real vertical Blade Runner style city with flying cars and all of that good cyberpunk shit
Lots of humour in the in game ads with them being super over the top seeing as how R* loves to rip on that kind of thing and having silly names for crime like HIGH VELOCITY MURDER HOMICIDE
How is it that this game (visually) looks vastly superior to DaS2?
I have never really been a gamer, but recently a lot of shitty stuff happened to me and now that the weight of the world has crushed my spirit, I don't really want a life anymore. So I bought a PS4.
Problem is I don't know fuck-all about the best games. What should I get from the PSN store? Any cool indie games out there or is it just Call of Duty and GTA shit.
It's only a month away /v/. Are you looking forward to it? Do you like the whole resistance theme? Think they'll release a DLC where we finally get to go to the AYYlien homeworld/mother ship and wreck their collective shit? What mods would you like to see? Would you a snek? Discuss it all here.
I like the resistance idea.
I hate the execution of it. Its literally just Xcom 1 with a different skin, far too few features that actually show what a resistance would be like.
>I yield, I yield!
Is there a mod that lets the random NPCs yield long enough, like stop their regenerating health, so that I can actually walk away into another area without being chased after again?
For as terrible as some of the mechanics of Skyrim are, I do enjoy the role-playing factor of it. Being the merciful thief however is impossible. I want to whittle down my opponents health and get them out of way. Bonus points if I can still loot them while they're surrendering.
