A. Final boss is hard as balls and the game expects you to do at lest 50% of side content to even stand a chance and 100% the content doesn't make the final boss too easy just less difficult.
B. Final boss is possible to beat even if you ignore all side content he is just slightly harder clearing 50% of it makes him regularly hard 100% makes him a cakewalk.
C. Final boss has level scaling so regardless of what you do he is almost always exactly as hard.
I actually like the piss easy final boss meme. Feels more like a reward for playing the game up to that point if done right - i.e. the boss is actually some crafty asshole who's implied to be weak in combat on his own.
What I find even more interesting is if the game doesn't have a final boss at all and the final part of the game is some convoluted string of quests all converging into a singular story point - game example would be Ultima 5 - but that requires a lot of preplanning within the game design and definitely doesn't fit your cookie cutter JRPG storyline.
D. Final boss has an alternate version if you beat a bonus dungeon or the hardest optional boss in the game, making it potentially the new hardest boss or at least as hard as the optional one.
Tales does that now and then.
E. In Minstrel Song you could choose to give more power to the last boss... in that game every time you fail stuff the last boss gets the item you were supposed to get and powers up in the process, but at the end you can opt to just give him everything anyway for a challenge.
I like the idea of hard final boss but in rpg, especially in jrpg mostly it will lead to grind. In that case not-so-hard story boss and ultra side bosses are the best choise, like in ffxx
What happened, Conanbros?
>NINETY FUCKING FIVE
THE FRENCHIES CONFIRMED ITS GOOD!
Why did we stop measuring graphics in bits?
Me first: Torchlight ll
How is XCOM2 these days? Played once at release but haven't touched it since. Any decent mods? Long war?
So...wonder how this one will do next week.
Is xbox one really that bad?
Im thinking of buying one, because i mostly want to play co op games with my gf,I can do it on pc..but its not the same without couch.
It's not THAT bad, but definitely not good compared to the competition. There is simply better games, hardware, and benefits for PS4. However, if you just want to play old 360 games and coop, than sure, get the xbone.

What was he?
A demon. Who would have guessed.
But pretty sweet DLC though, you get a good mystery which only starts making sense later on into the game (also the Mirrorman can be seen in most backgrounds during talk). Also Shani.
Most likely a high level demon that has been fucking around with humanity for a few hundred years.
He's been referenced throughout some quests and stories.
His theme is probably one of the pest themes I've heard in past years
how did we go from this....
I wasn't going to pick it up, but holy shit, it seems to be really good. I'll check the store tomorrow for a copy.
You lost, /v/
Do we still hate Unity engine?
Or did we accept the fact its pretty amazing for everything other than AAA Open world and dude-bro games.
Engine is only the framework. The reason most Unity games look and play like trash is because the developers are either lazy or incompetent. Using something like Unreal Engine, CryEngine or Frostbite won't change that.
IGN say 10/10 masterpiece
>FF15 is 8.2/10 great
Do you have "Game" /v/? Can you get laid?
I can't enjoy h-games with male protag anymore.
If it doesn't end with the protag slut being gangraped in a public toiled by a dozen hobos while enjoying it it's a shit game.
With FFXV confirmed blunder, have you accepted granblue fantasy as the proper lord and savior of JRPG
This is Toobie.
What do you think of her?
ITT: We post funny Vidya reviews
YOU MUST NOW POST MOST HOT-BLOODED VIDEO GAME MUSIC ITT OR I'LL KICK YOU AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASS!!

Whats your goty?
>Same story as the PS2 verison
>Combat is improved but still boring/repetitive
It sure wasn't this game.
What are you anons shopping for Christmas?I already have a gaming PC and a PS4 and plenty of games on the PC but not so many on PS4
Help me decide /v/ and also post what you are getting
There are plenty of games on PC but literally no good ones.
Not doing any Christmas shopping. Gonna buy stuff for friends and family but I don't need companies telling me some arbitrary date to give them all my money. I'll just shop when I need something, rather than need to shop.
Final Fantasy games removed from steam? I have ff13, wanted to pick up lightning returns but i cant find it.
