Hi /v/, I'm not a gamer but I've decided to come to you for advice. My little brother has really wanted a Wii U for a long while, mostly because he wants to play the exclusive games and seems to be interested in becoming a Nintendo nerd. He already has a PC and our family has an XBone (that is mostly a Netflix and Halo machine), among several retro systems.
My mom was considering buying him one for Christmas this year, but I'm uneasy because of the fact that the console is dying, which is making me think that it's a bad time to get one and that the price...

>I suggested to her that we should get him the $99 Mario edition New 3DS instead, as that's a great price for it, it's not dead in the water, and it'll give him his Nintendo fix, and that we could pick up a Wii U a few months down the road for $150 or less.
>Am I correct in this thinking?
I'd go to this route as well.
Tell me why is this thing considered the best Mario Kart game again
Because it has the craziest gameplay ever made for MK. The huge amount of items, 2 persons on one kart, great soundtrack that fits well with the game, best characters voices, and others. The people who say items ruin MK are probably the same who never played the games or take them seriously.
It's simply just the most fun I had in Mario Kart history.
I mean, just listen to this. How can you not enjoy at least the music? It's just perfect.

So I've been playing this a lot on a free weekend with my noob friends and we've been having great ammounts of fun despite being stomped most of the time. Fun is something I forgot I could have from playing "realistic" multiplayer shooters, but apparently Siege is fucking FUN.
Is there somtething I should consider before buying it? It's 11 dead racoons in Steam.
Except the playerbase is larger now than at release and continues to grow and all the DLC is free
Can we have an appreciation thread for the Ys soundtrack?
Clearly one of the best in all gaming history.
Starting with my favorites from Ys I
Ok OP. Obligatory Oath in Felghana appreciation
what went wrong ?
Compare what happens in this trailer showing the game being far from finished to the actual game.
People wanted a more realistic game instead of minigames the game.
So this has already outsold the PS4 pro.
Why has nobody got of their fat fucking ass and started working on a Vita emulator yet? Or would that be too much like real work?
>the healing can miss or heal for jack
How can we balance him? He's broken beyond belief.
The season is starting to turn and get cold which means its time to bundle up and get comfy
Post those comfy games you love playing while bundled up. Extra points for snow and in game screenshots.
What ending did you choose?
Vauclair did nothing wrong
or would've done nothing wrong if the game didn't pull evil death magic out of its ass
Killed the AI, killed the dragon, stayed independent, everything went to shit regardless
Eiger a cute
Is there a game that have a worse player base than WoW?
It's time to get hyped
After the hype, is it good?
Personally I wasn't a huge fan of the reboot, so I didn't have high hopes for this one.
My biggest problems with Shadow Warrior 2 were the boring empty maps which had like no variety after you went to the 3 different sceneries, the loot system was pretty shit, the powers and upgrades were poorly balanced, and the humor was pretty annoying to me.
I enjoyed it, mainly because under the hood it is mostly an FPS with no monster level or item level bullshit. Still the hack n slash elements just get in the way and it should've gone in the direction of being purely a classic FPS. Really nice gunplay, somewhat ruined by weapons having a miss rate stat instead of being wobbly when moving around.
>One of the attachments are extended mags
What's the problem? Just because video games typically balance out bolt actions as slow loading/firing rate and heavy hitting rifles doesn't mean the magazine capacity can't be increased.
>play game on Steam for 15 hours
>abandon it for some reason
>one year later
>want to replay and finish the game
>need to start over
>because of the already clocked hours, my "hours played" stats will be higher than average, making people think that I'm either bad at the game it takes me too long or that I'm a hardcore fan of it when it's actually neither
What went so right?
Now that the dust has settled:
Was Inafune a con-man?
What do you mean "was"?
I died more times to this guy than to Orphan, Ludwig, Fume and Friede combined.
Easily over 200 times.
In vanilla DaSII I killed him with the ballista, but I just started Sotfs and already died 48 times.
The Arcana is the means by which all is revealed
Is there a /v/ server or something ? I can't justify spending money on a 14 year old game.
Compared to other games like Doom and Half-Life for lack of comparable examples, is Goldeneye still fun to play today?
any good jrpgs that arent complete moe shit on ps4?
They made a physical version of their game, that if reachs 2000 pre-orders it will get jap voices, and comes with an ilustrated guide and a music selection, with a very smooth style on it's packaging/design for only 39.99, not even trying to get advantage from you /v/. Please support them /v/ :(
What are some games where you are so ridiculously overpowered it ends up making the experience even more enjoyable?
I can only think of one.
Why didn't they go through with this?
