Just got this.
What am in for /v/?
In what era would you like the next big FPS game to be in?
Please answer via this poll and feel free to discuss: http://strawpoll.me/6364779
I'm 20 minutes into this, should I keep going or am I going to be disappointed? All I kept getting hit with is tutorials
It's a pretty all right game. Excuse any ridiculous plot points and remember you're playing a Final Fantasy game. They all have ridiculous stories.
Limit breaks are your friend. You don't really have to pay much attention to the draw/ magic system if you don't want to. Just be sure to junction shit to your strength and speed whenever you do have the magic to do so. Don't sit there for a half an hour maxing out a spell. That shit is what people complain about the most.
There's only a few tutorials and you better pay attention to them because junction can be confusing if you don't. Also git gud at the card game and learn the Refine skills on your GFs so you can get magic from cards instead of drawing it like a chump.
am I about to do something stupid?
The only way you can properly experience a game is by pirating it or getting it for free. When you pay money for something, your subconscious will make excuses for you and make you think the game is better than it is. There is no disputing this at all.
This is why current gen console gamers opinions are null and void. This is why you should pirate any game you're interested in, and buy it and support the creators if you actually enjoyed it for free.
I just played through Deus Ex for the first time (pacifist, Realistic) and I'm happy to say it totally lives up to all of the hype. What a beautiful game.
I recently got an external hard drive for my Wii U so I can download the 4 data packs for XenoX and other games I'll buy digitally. It is a 1 TB MyPassport Ultra that comes with a USB 3.0 cable that says it's compatible with USB 2.0. When I try to format the hard drive on my Wii U, pic related doesn't change. I waited almost half an hour and my Wii U still doesn't read the hard drive. I've checked everywhere where to find a solution to my problem, and I don't know what to do.
What should I do about this /v/?
Does that thing have a power plug of its own? I use a WD MyBook for my Wii U and it works like a charm, never had the slightest issue.
You see, Nintendo is so cheap that the USB ports on the Wii U might not provide enough voltage for a USB drive that doesn't have its own power supply.
What the fuck is the downside, here, because she seems like the perfect woman.
I made a friend today /v/. He's coming over for a playdate tomorrow. What are some fun local multiplayer games we can play?
People are constantly complaining that and minority characters are shoehorned in and lack depth but I think you could argue that the lack of complex characters is an issue across the board. Too often are do you come across characters in video games that exist solely as a dispensary for objectives and information instead of being a catalyst for character exploration and well written world building.
I think something video game developers have struggled with for a long time is the ability to let the player explore the complexities of a character without taking away from their sense of agency. Exploring the intricacies of a character is most easily and commonly accomplished through dialogue and it's difficult to allow the player to discuss things like emotions and personal thoughts in a way that feels truly organic without it being completely on rails. This is something that, despite the advent of virtual reality and a more recent focus on immersive worlds with grand storylines, I don't think videogames will improve on to an acceptable level in the near future at all. What are your thoughts on this /v/?
Pic related may not be one of the best examples but is personally one of my favorite games to talk to the other characters in. In particular I love the bits where you have drinks with Dandelion and he asks you about where you're going with your life.
That's kind of the argument I have against people who don't like having a pre-determined character in the Witcher. By using Geralt you get much more out of the story.
Fallout 4 on the other hand kills any sort of agency by pre-determining the voice and only having 3 real options in the entire game.
I enjoyed the DLC quite a lot due to all the interesting characters, I think it really illustrates your point. Another small example is Corrinne Tilly
Whats the point of having a Wii U now?
What does /v/ think of it?
Games fun if you can get past some of the net issues but ive been playing it not stop.
What other words can be used to describe Goro Majima of the Yakuza Franchise?
>log in steam
you faggots will argue about anything V2
