Is there a reliable website to get PS1 Eboots for PSP? I've tried Emuparadise and, while having a great selection, the download rate there is killing me. I usually get 2mbps, but I've only been getting 100kbps there.
Also, PSP thread. Are y'all niggas still playing yours or have most of the Sonyfriends moved on to Vita?
I have a vita but I still keep my PSP around. There are still games for it I haven't played yet and I would prefer to play them for free. Especially these nipponesse ones I'm not totally familiar with.
I honestly wasn't aware you could do that. I've only recently gotten back into PSP, so I suppose I'll look into that. I already have a good collection of Playstation ISOs on my PC, so getting them shouldn't be an issue.
I'm pretty much in the same boat. I'd love to have a lot of PS1/PSP games on my Vita, but I don't have the memory for it and 30 bucks for the digital version of Ace Combat X seems kinda steep, while I got a 32gig memory stick for PSP for about 10 bucks.
Yeah it's a simple process. I forgot the name of the program but it's as simple as dropping your ISO in and hitting convert. You can customize the icon/background/music clip played as well if you feel like it.
oh for anyone that wants something cool try this
>and two of these...
>have an all powerful 256GB psp on crack
so far only works on my 1000 model...the others cant read it so have fun
Bros give me some PS1 classics to play on muh PSP.
Since it has a near-infinite library, there's always a hidden gem.
If you know of any good 2D/sidescroller games for it then those are very welcome they're rare as fuck.
yea i have like 150 something iso's on that thing
and i have yet to cause a dent....not to mention i have shit from my laptop in it so its pretty much a second compter
not that slow actually.....just need to make sure the cards are snug tight and the psp will read it 5 seconds or less....theres another adapter that reads it for shit an took a whole minute before it popped up
not extremely related but oh well
ePSX won't recognize the right thumstick going down.
as in, it just inputs the same thing as Right Thumstick Left as it does for Right Thumstick Down, which makes things extremely annoying for playing Armored Core.
I've tried multiple controllers already, no go.
Private torrent trackers. Some of the video game specific ones died last year, and I don't know which ones are active today, but their selection and reliability should be a lot better than some shady ad-filled site.
I used to be on underground gamer. Their collection was a mess, but they did have a lot of good stuff. I think blackcats games is still around.
General purpose entry level trackers like torrent leech should have a decent selection of games too.
cool as shit, too bad there's nothing for Vita. I guess with the fact that it's already small.
Curse you and your proprietary memory, Sony!
Maverick Hunter X was the best fucking thing.
Anyone got it to work in the latest PPSSPP? That would look gorgeous upscaled.
>Spider: The Video Game
Oh God, just look at that Coverart.
Not all games work properly when converted this way. Not sure if anything has been fixed since the last time I did this back in
2009, but I remember Tomba! freezing when going from the watch tower area of the Dwarf Village into that hole in the wall.
Thanks anon. PCSX works perfectly, now I can play the old Armored Core games with nice controls.
Regarding ones that are obtainable on PSN, why not just download it straight from the PSN servers? Download it then decrypt it using the tool provided.
1000...last longer and has more add-on availability
and if ur good with putting shit together...get some cool colored faceplates or seethrough ones...others are not really diverse
1000 is the only model where you can install the latest CFW permanently and not have to run the eboot every time your restart you PSP, and it also has an IR blaster for changing channels and fucking with people in public areas.
It doesn't have the extra ram, but nothing really needs the extra flash on the PSP, all the emulators for anything worth playing work fine with the small flash.
>1000 is the only model where you can install the latest CFW permanently and not have to run the eboot every time your restart you PSP
False, or you are living in the long lost past
People use this?
I want this. Don't think I would ever dare using it in public tho. I'm pretty sure someone would call the cops if I did.
I'm calling the cops right now bro.
Can you use firmware plugins with non permanent? I just like the idea of it just working and having custom gameboot animations/sounds and such. Also, playing any MP3 over games.
Already have a 3000 for my UMD games, but I'm thinking about getting a Go for emulators and more portable video game playing. Not sure what to do as I really don't like the way playstation games looks on my PSP. Picture either don't fill the screen, or they're blurry looking. So I don't think I'll use it for emulation.
Using it for playing backups of PSP games would be great.
>actually subscribing to the shitty belief that you must play it with the music included in the game as the developers intended
No, fuck that, I am sorry. Some games just have shitty music, plain and simple. I will be playing my own music over top of GTA V when it comes out on PC, you better believe that.
>only works on my 1000 model
Thats a massive lie, I have a 2000 and mine works perfect with it using this
Dont spew crap anon, Infact ive had two different 2000's that work fine with it, a normal black one and a FF7 Crisis core PSP.
>psp came with 32 MEGAbyte memory stick
>you can now bloat it up to 256 GIGAbytes
psp is 10 years old
To be fair that probably happens in every country with easily access to phones.
The real problem is our news media covering inane shit like that. To find news media in a lot of other countries willing to cover that you'd have to delve deep into news blogs, but in America they cover that shit on television.
I have one with 2x16 gb for my PSP 3000. I can barely fill 16 gb with shit I want to play
You can tell the load times are slower. Some games like VCS will lag when going full sanic across the map
Well dont spew lies if you dont know something, Its dumb to give misinformation, If its that brand, Get a bloody photofast!
It's obviously not serious. As in hey I bet it would be totally funny to call the cops for stupid shit.
>every country with easily access to phones
That's every country. Do you really think only 1st world has phones? I bet most Somalians have androids by now.
3000 by far
I've had 1000 for like 7 years before getting a 3000 and holy fuck if it's better.
It weights like a feather (compared to the brick 1000 is) and the screen is gorgeous. The speaks are on the front instead of the bottom which makes it sound much better
>give detail on my personal try
>not speaking for everything else
>anon assumes im stating facts
u seem to be confused
...pleaze commit bukkake
It was a .cso but it worked fine on a Sony memory card
Other games I noticed some slowdown even though they were isos were Project Diva (all 3) and Type-0 (although I never tried them on a official memory card, it could be the game itself)
Does changing the clock speed make any difference at all? How about that memory card speed up in the recovery menu?
Yeah, convert VCS back to ISO. It'll run buttery smooth, better than UMD.
Changing the clock speed changes the bus speed also, so it could feasibly improve ms load times. Not massively. It will improve CSO a lot though, given that decompression is on the fly by the CPU.
>1000 still feels cheap
Say what ever you want about the 1000 or Sony in general, but one thing you cannot say is that the first PSP wasn't built great or felt like a really high end device in your hand. Opening that box and pulling that thing out in 2005 was amazing for me, it felt like the future had arrived. Much better than the DS, that is for certain.
My PSP has this discolouration around the screen edges. I hear that is pretty common for the 3000.
I do like the audio quality tho. Good enough for portable games while I'm on my bed. The stock battery is pretty ok too I think. I don't play on it long enough for the battery to run out.
I do want a Go, but I don't really have a use for it since I never play backups. How is the screen on the Go compared to the 3000? Is it better?
Mine still stands strong. You can easily replace the screen anyway if that ever happens, it's just 4 or 5 screws away
I guess the Go screen can't be much better than 3000. However, the button layout sucks for games where you need to claw (MH, Type-0 and KH)
>mfw kids used to talk shit about how long the PSP was in your pocket
>mfw their fucking DS was like having 2 wallets stacked on each other in your pocket, it was so fucking thick
The PSP was a nice long one, the DS was a fucking CHODE that you didn't know what to do with.
This reminds me, I used to use the PSP as a controller for my PC over wifi. Either I was a pleb and didn't notice the latency, or it was just really fucking good and didn't have enough to notice. Which is very possible as it is on your local network.
there is actually but the new cfw exploit is months away
>daes irae and fate ccc along with nayuta no kiseki and tag force 6 are being translated
ITS THE GOLDEN AGE OF FAN TRANSLATIONS
yes and yes
some of those in progress translations are for fairly new games and some translations are only a few weeks old
psp is still getting new games and it still gets new western games every once in a while too
