>finally enough money for THE SPACE HAMMER
>i need a fucking research

>those ten are necessary for the hammer

the random briefcase system is this game is fucking balls
Can someone make a video tutorial for this game?
It's own system for learning is fucking awful. I wanted to sneak through the first mission, but then once I took the first step the whole map aggroed on me. Not like they were a problem, really.
STR - Useless when it comes to melee DMG bonus, get it only if you need it to use new weapons. Also increases carry weight.
END - Useful no matter what kind of character you roll. Increases HP and stamina, latter which is used for pretty much everything from sprinting to augments to PSI spells.
AGI - Movement and melee attack speed.
ACC - Better ranged weapons, though you can handle all of them just fine even without leveling up accuracy much.
PSI - Useless for non-PSI characters, essential for PSI characters. Also a reminder that all ending rewards are extremely powerful PSI abilities.
HACK - Somewhat useful but really boring. Hacking ATMs doesn't give nearly as much money as killing enemies and the plot essential hacking stuff is very easy to get through even with shit hacking level.
MED - better medkits, required for some augments and PSI spells
Mental Balance is a completely useless dump stat. Never put levels into this.
The augments and implants are pretty self-explanatory. Reminder that stealthing is nigh impossible without the cloak augment (which is pretty cheap to purchase).
Researching unlocks new research, weapons, augments, raises max implant levels and gives skill boosts. Always pick slower research as it's fuckloads cheaper and won't actually take that long. Few days of research are actually few in-game minutes.
Also the "you've been spotted" happens always, no matter if they actually see you.
Its good but its not for everyone.
Just keep that in mind OP.
The first thing you're gonna want to do is go into the options and turn the enemy spawn rate to a bare minimum.
I found it actually makes it feel like a normal fps game that way.
How do I access a mission?
First time in that Templar HQ and I just keep walking around. Nothing to trigger a story mission.
Medic, training school, weird church room.
Only thing is the random mission the guy on the bridge gives you.
>setting enemy reinforcements to the minimum
You people disgust me.
>turn the enemy spawn rate to a bare minimum.
Talking to Rimanah again triggers story missions. Once you've completed the first proper mission you also unlock optional side missions which are accessed through the doors near the landing pad. Those are basically random generated objectives in previous levels and have no bearing on advancing the main plot.
>get to HQ
>accidentally shoot the guy
>entire room agros each other in a outrageously over the top firefight
>automatically respawn 8 times while getting killed over and over
>mfw the entire time
Completely fucking stuck on Mars.
Cant find a single walkthrough online that explain what I need to do. Maybe I'll just restart the entire mission because this is fucked.
>dutch dies, but I guess he was supposed to
>get to portal room
>start running around activating portals
>investigate all the areas I am told to investigate
>find the pirate spot with the thing you can hack
>guess fail dialogue, kill them
>not enough skill to hack
>run around trying to find some way to progress
>eventually give up, start to farm xp to get enough hack to hack the thing
>finally hack it
>only gives me some stupid radio messages that does nothing
>no mission or any way to progress anywhere
What did I miss?
Does the minigun automatically give you a shit grade at the end of each level?
I played the game with a shotgun the first time and god pretty good grades, but now I'm replaying the game with a minigun and I always get 2/10 or 4/10
>no mission or any way to progress anywhere
Maybe your game bugged out or something? There should be missions to investigate several areas in the Federal base. In there you should find a broken AI that's easy to hack, gives directions to another terminal you hack which in turn opens the door to underground ruins. Or there's another spot (near the area with the optional assassination) which leads down there.
Speak to the huge skeleton King dude, he gives a quest to kill mobs. After that run back to him and enter the huge portal (not the regular one beside him) more deep in the ruins.
Or if you find the
NPC in Federal base you're offered to join them and you get the Federal ending.
E.Y.E devs are actually as crazy as their game.
Pic related, it's the team having a barbecue in an unexplored cave.
Saved as the truth.jpg
I just got into the ''undertown'' of electric sheep mission, and the atmosphere is SO GOOD, evading that flying gun ship and killing xenomorphs was the last thing i expected there.
search the room in the tomb with the portal in it, fag.
More like a cave/sewer
I did hack the AI, but I dont remember it giving me any directions.
There was a robot in the base with a chat sign over it, figured I had to hack it but it kept shooting at me (without moving) so I shot it figuring there had to be another way to do the mission.
I dont remember any optional assassination at all.
he was your best friend and you somehow fucked him over. i would be pissed too.
Or, y'know, HLP is a
product of your own mind representing self-loathing as the entirety of the game is happening inside your head while your brain is being scanned and put to different scenarios by the actual Secreta trying to decipher what happened because your last mission was a failure and that's all they could salvage. The three gates + the last ending were all pieces that were missing.
>this is all i ever wanted from a deus ex spiritual successor OHGODYES
suddenly fire breathing demons and xenomorphs
I might agree, if the final ending somehow supported that. The synicles all pretty much tell the story, the three on mars and the one at the end.
It seems like most of the problems you face are caused by Rihmanah dicking around with demons and the artifact.
You and other EYE agents were sent out to kill a Jian mentor(possibly Mysterious). The mission was a failure, you were ambushed and Huan was one of that mentor's bodyguards who either Hypnotic Gate'd you or left you fatally wounded in that cave to die. He's bitter once he sees you return to Temple HQ and knows of your memory loss.
Well, it's probably the best side mission area to wrack in the brouzoufs. Interceptors and Deus Ex on ghost.
The story presents you with a choice to determine which ending you get. There is also a hidden NPC for the third ending.
I thought I saw every scrap of dialogue in this game and don't remember any mention of Huan being there.
I will also just point out that Hypnotic Gate is not something anyone can do. It is exclusively a part of the "artifact".
one of the sidequest ones in the temple. Sewer or something
gameplay is buggy, atmosphere is great, the story is pretty much "we put a few details in, let's not write anything else and just let the player fill in the blanks for us so that this will seem 2deep4u and get popular", setting is great, translation ranges from decent to capable of ruining quests, the path to getting the true ending is nice but gets boring when you're overpowered and have to play the game yet another time to get it.
Definitely worth the $2, though. If you upgrade right, you can have fun with combat (cyborg ninja, etc). The AI is psychic sometimes, though.
>This hard technique, only mastered by very few people, implodes your enemy and instantly teleports you to the location where they died.
You also have to have the adequate stats before he sells it to you.
>Worth a dollar
It's worth the 20 euro when I bought the game back in 2011.
Yeah, stealthy play isn't really possible. To manage it to any extent, you need to use cloaking. With it you can peek around corners safely, then take out enemies with silenced weapons (the BOSCO sniper rifle is very good for this).
So stealth is more about getting the jump on enemies, moving safely across wide areas and easy recon than staying completely undetected.
Yeah, i know, pressing enter felt awkward and got me killed several times.
In the temple, in the medicine sector.
I think you can buy it right away, no research needed.
I bought Eye for a dollar today and decided to give it a go
>Hacked a terminal
>Screen got stuck like and none of my keyboard or mouse clicks could get me off this screen
>I desperately tried ALT+TABBING in and out to see if that might fix it and it made the game crash
>Enemies appear out of nowhere
>Enemies appear out of nowhere 10FEET BEHIND YOU SHOOTING YOU IN THE BACK
This shit is stupid.
Almost, they haven't gone bankrupt atleast.
They're making a 40k game called Deathwing and they said with the sudden interest in the game that they're planning on making a sequal.
This makes me happy.
Will buy on release for full price.
You possessed it, meaning you did jack shit.
You need to hack terminals and posses enemies.
>grab as many scrabs as you can carry
>activate them all
>set them all to go hunt
>grab your regular loadout
>walk around and look for anything still alive
Don't mind me, dumping E.Y.E 2 pre-production work
I've started this game like 4 times but never finished it. This time, I will.
Farthest I ever got was Mars, I think. Basically where that guy was alive even though he died in the previous level.
A good thread for a good game.
Maybe we could start a server and play together.
and this is all I gots
52 hours and I still haven't got the research needed to unlock 2 guns. Fucking RNG
I still have to finish the first Deus Ex.
Since today games are most of the time boring as hell and pointless (I hardly play sequels, so I can say I've already play 80% of the upcoming games) I'm going back in time to play the one I missed. I'm having in blast, and after Deus Ex I'm definetely going for EYE since it looks original and the best part of /v/ (would be the Warband tier) is tempting me so hard.
And I don't know why, I bought this game 3 years ago and I've never played it....
You can actually stomp an enemy to death ?
This may sound silly, but how do i add weapons to my armory ?
Do i have to buy them, because whenever i pick one up in the levels it says, you don't own this.
>not hacking them
You gotta be shitting me ?
I never even tried.
Well shit, thanks /v/. You managed to make me reinstall this game and go through the fucking RNG again to level up.
EYE is cool as fuck, but don't expect Deus Ex.
In many ways, it is the anti-thesis to Deus EX.
If you want more Deus Ex I can recommend you
>Human Relations (of course)
>The Nameless Mod (http://thenamelessmod.com)
For harder targets (i.e. stuff with 300+ life and 100+ defense/attack) I use overflow mask mask and then alternating between attack and mask, keeping them near 0 attack and making him overflow constantly.
Usually works very well and deals constant damage, and I only need scan or overflow if he turtles or does mask too much.
"Normal" enemies can just be overwhelmed with overflow and attack spam.
Okay wait what. I cant find this shit. I fucking love eye played it 7 times and i just assumed i did all the missions. At Temple HQ I have the middle row and bottom row doors open. Do the top doors open too?
Down by the helipad where you usually are when you return from missions, there is a guy on the left side of the walkway, right by an ammo crate if I recall correctly. Just talk to him and he'll have missions.
I'm shit at the game, and can't get past Mars, so he is the only way I can get any grinding done.
My question is, who do I talk to in order to replay missions?
My first run was a hacker sniper build.
>Can't do shit because I'm not too powerful in combat
>Dump into hacking
>Oh god doors are killing me
>It's too late to turn now fuck dump more
>Observing enemy place from the eyes of enemy
>ATMs ain't shit
>Suddenly I'm controlling a horde of enemies
Even though some say hacking is boring it was still a nice touch for the game.I felt really sadistic when I heard enemies muffled screams when I'm controlling them.
Shoot stuff. Try all weapons and decide which one kills the enemies in a way you like best.
I like the K 93s semi auto mode, headshots are killing every normal enemy.
And the 32 round pump action shotgun.

>that long ass sewer you were given to option to crawl through for 20 minutes at the first level of the game.
There actually is an exit that completely avoid those looters in the canal and sewers and it dumps right in front of the first door you have to hack.
Notice the blue light door when you climb down from the ladder.
I don't mind the flaws. I want a game to remember or at least, something original. I will like EYE I know it
I don't care that much really, I hate "overtold" stories that take you for a morron
I'll leave the "choices" madness to AAA games. I have NEVER seen a game where it was done right (at best a small change in the scenario)
I'm in already
I play Deus Ex with New Vision 1.5, I don't need more (it includes the fix for w7)
Anyone feel like trading it for a copy of nether? I'm poor atm and thats all i got.
Since you didn't respond the joke here is that you can sell your crate for three fucking dollars and buy E.Y.E with it. You also have an assload of shitty cosmetics you could sell aswell. "Poor" my ass.
I love how it constantly tells you to press the tutorial button when a related thing happens BUT IT DOESNT TELL YOU WHICH TUTORIAL IT WANTS YOU TO WATCH.
In spite of that, the game is pretty fun and I didn't really need the tutorials.
DIFFICULTY should always be set high. You want to get all the XP and bro$ you can for that delicious research. But when you kill an enemy and they're replaced before you can walk ten feet, that shit's just obnoxious.
No it's not. Dramatic irony is always something a writer has to contend with. No matter how much originality the writer has they are always going to be referencing archetypes and themes that have been done before, that the reader will have preconceived notions attached to.
This is pretty much the whole game, OP.
If you're willing to do a lot of reading and still not entirely understand what the fuck is going on, get it.
>Thinking about buying it for friends from the steam wallet money I made from the sale
>They probably won't even play it
>But it's £1.40
>You can't buy shit for £1.40
if my steam cards sell, i'll have a free copy of EYE to give away because I want to spread the brouzouf for more people to enjoy. also downloading shadowgrounds survivor to get the cards for it.
it's definitely you that arrested Circe, ordered her to be removed, and had her tortured to death.
The Shinji theory is unlikely but I like to think that you're both a Culter soldier, Shinji, and Rimanah fused in some fucked up mess. However, if you WERE Shinji, Amarok would have been a lot less friendly.
Do you all remember how, at Sulaco (you may need to save Dutch for this), he talks to you about how you used to have a black Damocles with runes taken from some ruins inscribed all over it?
Take a close look at the obelisks in your dream world.
Notice: they're jet black, covered in runes, and from certain angles the roots they're stuck to look suspiciously like the weird hilt of the Damocles.
Now, since this game is all about dreams and dream layered over reality, isn't it odd that the obelisks look suspiciously like your old weapon of choice? And notice that if you move near them, you loose all your energy.
Maybe the thing you have to do in the endgame involves the Damocles?
Another Anon here. My interpretation was that
you're Rimanah suffering through the cycles as a punishment for all the horrible shit you committed, mainly for executing your waifu. God only knows if it's a dream / near death coma / metastreumonic purgatory or what the hell the "Final frontier" is supposed to be if it's not passing on to afterlife / waking up from the cycles.
I don't know if you guys truly don't understand the storyline, or you just like calling the game impossible to comprehend, so I'll just summarize the plot for you guys who've beaten it.
EYE major SPOILERS ahead:
There is no Rimanah. Or, rather, he is a projection of you. For easier writing, I will refer to the player character as Rimanah. Rimanah sent his wife to investigate a forbidden location, for unexplained reasons (Source: Aahmiah, the prophet who tells you this story). She came back and she was caught. He ordered her tortured to death to try and hide his own role in her crime. He ordered her eyes plucked. The Synicle (the white-robed woman) is actually the projection of his wife. Consumed by guilt he slipped into insanity and was trapped in an ever-reocurring dream (the game's campaign). This is also why you see statues of Circe inside the headquarters.
In this dream, he relived his past experiences with the E.Y.E, search for an alien artifact and waging war on the Federation, while also fighting his own guilty conscience (Metastreumonic Force). Every iteration of the dream culminated in Rimanah killing himself.
Occasionally, he experienced a certain moment of clarity, becoming aware of the truth and speaking to a figment of his imagination that appeared to him as his dead wife, Circe. (the final ending). But this was temporary and he soon fell back into the dream cycle, doomed to repeat it forever.
If anyone has any questions about the story, feel free to ask me. I've analyzed this game an unhealthy amount.
The game itself looks incredibly interesting and unique. I want to try it out, but I don't have any money in my wallet right now. Anyone with a spare dollar or a code? I've got nothing to do and I'd love to play some atmospheric co-op. ID is http://steamcommunity.com/id/pizulka
Yeah, that's what i thought, i like how the game is mysterious, i guess that's the best word i can think of.
There are cyberpunk things in it for sure but it's also spiritual, which is a rare thing for this kind of games.
That you're Rimanah or at least part of him is almost guaranteed.
However, I personally believe you're more than just Rimanah and that the vast majority of the stuff in the game actually happened at some point, such as >>253320138
Most of what you said is more or less proven. But, I strongly disagree with pretty much anything being a projection.
>There is no Rimanah.
Rimanah is you, not a projection.
>his own guilty conscience (Metastreumonic Force).
Given all the backstory, I don't buy it for a second that
>Every iteration of the dream culminated in Rimanah killing himself.
Also, I don't think it's entirely a dream and instead Rimanah trapped inside the Metastreum. Otherwise entities like Amarok and the Immortal King would have no reason to be there.
>figment of his imagination
No, I'm positive that's Circe herself or at least the Metastreum's living on in the Metastreum, which copied her to make the Synicles after all.
Something you might notice about Cilufer and Rimanah is
that their names are anagrams of Lucier and Ahriman respectively.
For the true ending you need to get all the Gate abilities.
Fed Ending, speak to the looter guy as you're leaving the area. He gives you Substitution Gate as long as you're friendly with him.
Mentor Ending, join mentor then proceed as normal until you're forced to kill him. He drops you Triangular Gate.
Rimanah Ending. In the last mission of that route there's supposed to be a Werewolf that you can talk to. He gives you the Hypnotic Gate. BEWARE, SOME PEOPLE HAVE HAD THAT NPC BUG OUT AND NOT SPAWN. IN THAT CASE RESTART THE LEVEL OR YOU WON'T GET THE SPELL.
After getting all those complete the game and
in the first tutorial area don't go pick up the gun, go straight right. If you don't meet the requirements there's a wall with writing, but if you have all the Gate spells there's a portal you can enter.
Really? My interpretation was that you were the Shinji guy mentioned in the archives who raped/murdered all those people, and got fused with a wolf spirit.
The characters you meet in the temple are figments of your personality, with the temple as a whole representing your mind. Remember the story how the commander sent his wife to the forbidden place and killed her? Change the forbidden place to knowledge of the murders and it makes more sense. The archives said Shinji was a veteran soldier who came back from the war, and all the missions you go through must be some vague recollections of the missions Shinji went through IRL. The Federation is represented as corrupt and criminal because that's how Shinji sees them as a criminal himself. The wolf spirit you are fused with has imprisoned you in your own mind, and your guilt forces you to relive the murders over and over (notice all those statues from the dead priestess/your wife in the temple). Once you get the three Artifacts, you can try to "escape". You will finally meet your wife in front of the place where you buried her. The archives said Shinji buried his victims in the forest, and behind her you can clearly see forest trees.
She tells you that you can enter the final frontier to stop the endless cycles, and wishes you to not break the seal. When you get there, there's nothing to do. It's figuratively and literally a prison (IRL). You can break the seal, escape from the "prison", and resume the endless cycles of killing
and fun. It makes more sense than the Rimanah theory because otherwise the story about the wolf and the man the nice ladies tell you about in Sulaco is pointless.
i just sold most of my TF2 items since i never play TF2 anyway and got the rest of the money needed. so now >>253319281 has a copy of the game :) i already had 58h gameplay in it anyway and spreading the brouzouf is always a good thing.
Yes. Rimanah is you, that's is actually what I meant. I said 'projection of you', because the real -you- is the entity you are controlling.
>>Every iteration of the dream culminated in Rimanah killing himself.
I was referring to the fact that, at the end of every playthrough, Rimanah is the final boss.
I understand for you disagreeing with the rest, though. That is my take on it, that's all.
I have a copy of EYE if anyone wants it, just post your id
Also, why is one of the those ''books'' in the archive speaking to me directly, saying, but why did you just pop a bullet in your mentors head ?
Reminds me of something that a Malkavian might encounter.
Mentor mentioning wife.
It makes more sense than the Rimanah theory because otherwise the story about the wolf and the man the nice ladies tell you about in Sulaco is pointless.
They do mention that the protagonist of that story is "a man searching for a meaning".
Mentor's mentor also mentions how Rimanah became a vile beast "searching for a meaning".
And besides, Circe saying
"my love"doesn't make any sense without player character being Rimanah. The true ending achievement name and description also confirm as much.
The wolf spirit is Amarok. The three Synicles speak of a "spirit wolf" who fought with the man who must not be named who had "a great hypnotic power", see >>253324182
Amarok gives you the Hypnotism Gate, so it's more or less guaranteed he's the spirit wolf.
However, if you ARE Shinji then it begs the question of why the fuck Amarok would give/teach the Hypnotism Gate to the sick-fuck who buried some 600 headless women on his holy grounds for 12 years.
Lastly, at no point whatsoever is Shinji mentioned as having a wife.
Sounds like a big deal.
You should call the cops, quick, before they get away with it.
I just want a mod that adds normal weapon keybinds, dual-wieldable HS 010's, medkits that recharge (albeit slower) when you're not holding them, XP gained for hacking and slave kills, indication of how much brouzouf and XP you gain, and a Challenge Mode that enables a brouzouf/XP multiplier each time you finish the game
That's the basic things I just want
Aside from that:
>Upgradeable PSI and Cybertech skills
>rebalancing of skill system and implant prices
>seperate mana pools for PSI and Cybertech skills
>reworking Possess so possessed slaves should control like the player himself (Interceptors need more work)
>First the target is hacked like a normal hack, which turns the target friendly, and from the menu you can decide whether to possess him, destroy him, or steal his energy
>return v1.0 hacking AI, current one just does random shit and attacks
>3D yellow wireframe minimap
>hardware/software store for hacking, viruses like inflicting madness, turning them into suicide bombers and stealing their Brouzouf, some viruses can spread too depending on their level. hardware influences hacking itself
>remove large unnecessary spaces to conserve loading times and memory on toasters
>fix grammar and punctuation unlike completely changing it like the Text Revamp mod
>Interceptors should be noisier
>More human enemies using melee
>different ammo types
>broken legs should slow you down more
>katana shields can reflect bullets back at the enemy if upgraded
>getting hit when Dermal Sheath is on shouldn't make the screen keep flashing
>you should be able to lean while moving
>shorten all barrel lengths
>more varied melee attacks (see Dark Messiah)
>AI needs a big overhaul
>stomping should be more viable
Thank you all for this wonderful thread.
It's good to see /v/ isn't total garbage after all.
Most of them are just cheevos like "Kill a lama" or "Kill a football player" or "Kill a necrophile" or "Kill a loving and caring daddy" or "Kill a geek", which are all titles that randomly appear when you kill someone.
Illuminati - kill a snake man
Legend hero - kill a video game censor
level 1 works like in vanilla for all powers, unless it's stated as an "active" power where it only consumes Energy if used (example: turning on Derm. won't drain emergy, but getting shot while it's on will drain energy)
-Lv1 Active (doesnt consume energy when standing still)
-Lv2 reduces footstep sounds and reduces energy cost by 10%, increased cloaking speed by 30%
-Lv3 makes you completely silent, increased cloaking speed by 60%
-Lv2 increase TS effect with 5%, higher bleed chance
-Lv3 increase TS effect with 10%, even higher bleed chance
-Lv2 enemies will attack your ghost
-Lv3 Ghost can move in a desired direction and bait enemies
-Lv2 reduced damage taken by 20%, reduces energy lost by 15%
-Lv3 reduced damage taken by 30%, reduces energy lost by 25%, bullets are deflected back
-Lv2 reduced energy drained by 50%
-Lv3 reduced energy drained by 100%, cloaked enemies are visible
-Lv2 reduced health taken by 5%, increased energy received by 5%
-Lv3 reduced health taken by 15%, increased energy received by 10%
-Lv2 reduced energy cost by 25%, increase range by 10m
-Lv3 reduced energy cost of 50%, increase range by 20m, affected enemies appear as a silhouette for 15 seconds once SW wears off
-Lv2 increased range by 5m, reduced cost of 10%
-Lv3 increased range by 15m, reduced cost of 20%, stationary enemies are displayed as well
I think I might've forgotten something, but here's my idea on upgradeable cybertech, PSI is up in next post
>buy 4 or 5 copies during xmas sale
>give them out
>no one has played it
>except one guy who I know irl
>says it's the shit
>I try it for a little while to gain trading cards and sell them during this summer sale
>dicked around on it for like 30 minutes
>want to dick around with it again
>never have free time to play anymore
>spend all my free time on /v/ bitching about how modern games are shit
The game is not complicated, is just a shooter with an interesting clusterfuck of a history, just play it for the experience and then tell us about it.
May your legs be OK
In the dream sequence/corridor/path, behind you is the moon and in front is a bright light, possibly the sun. The journey from moon to sun, night to day, could represent awakening or alternatively, transcendence.
On the pillars around you, they all have the same fictional text (looks a little like old hebrew but that might be coincidence), which all say the same thing. The circular icons on each side of the pillar are the four main phases of the moon: crescent, half, gibbous and full (or new, depending on how you see it), a likely allusion to the 4 endings and the progression to getting there. Four is also believed to be the number of death in east asia. It's possible that the small text underneath the icon is your name (Rimanah?), I have no idea what the following text could be - an explanation why you're there, a description of your past sins, who you are, but I'd put money that it has something to do with the idea that you have a punishment for something that you've done wrong.
>implying the storyline is meant to be understood
>Go look for some gameplay on jewtube
>First comment in the first video i open
So the volume key on my keyboard opens up the character sheet, which is already opened by pressing another key. There any way to stop it from doing that? The key bindings just show the default key for opening up the sheet.
>"walls" of text
>playing only 20 minutes
>shooting dudes here somehow bores you instead of any other game
>calling the beginning shit and complety forgetting about the mysterious atmosphere and cave song
>>no actual improvements aside from stats
>implying the concepts are that hard to figure out
>listing a fedoracore example like Bioshock instead of SS2 or Deus Ex, he probably meant infinite as well
>forgetting the fact that you have katanas, magic and miniguns at your disposal
>spic with a doge avatar
I hope his face falls in a vat of acid so I can wear his fucking moron face as a party mask.
It does the same thing on my laptop. Not for EYE specifically, there's plethora of other games that also suffer from the same problem of volume key doing something unintended.
>implying people who say that don't shit up entire threads by themselves
You should see some of the gens on /vg/. Each general a quiet happy little community until a literal weeaboo shows up and goes insane.
Check out the bottom. Those are the kinds of people who play eroge and VNs. No joke.
Yes. The big Damocles is an explosive katana that makes short work of almost anything in one shot. It's unlocked from the start. There's an even more powerful Distortion Hammer but you have to be VERY lucky to get a drop for it's research requirements.
You can also wield small firearms (pistols) along with katanas. One of the most powerful weapons in the game, the Bear Killer revolver can be paired this way.
Melee weapons can be used to guard, which basically almost all blocks bullets and drains stamina.
There's also a high level PSI spell, Dragon that's used for closing distances. You basically teleport inside a human enemy, making them spontaneously combust and setting you up for nice melee distances against his buddies.
All kills from behind backs are considered silent backstabs which is combined well with the cloak augment. Though you won't probably be stealthing that much.
Heavier armors also protect you from damage quite well and there's the dermal sheating implant that when activated makes you lose stamina instead of HP.
>And how should i build myself in order to play that way?
STR does increase melee dmg, but only by a miniscule amount. Don't put points there unless you need the stat as a requirement for a skill / weapon / augment.
Agility increases your movement and melee attack speed. Quite useful.
For the aformentioned Dragon spell you need a lot of PSI and MED skill.
END is useful for any character as it increases both your max stamina and HP, former which is used for pretty much every special action.
The Cyber Leg augments increase your running and jumping speed by TONS. Extremely useful for going fast and closing distances.

No, they are some of the people who play RPGs. Most of that thread probably hasn't played untranslated games anyway, much less RPGs with actual H-scenes.
Have to try it out for yourself and see whether you prefer speedier or more durable type of melee bruiser. There's also the option of medium armor.
Your max carry weight (and thus your speed malus) is affected by STR but I'm not sure how much it actually increases your carry weight. It also depends on which other gear you're having along with you since the weapons affect speed malus the same as armor. A heavily armored guy with only a small weapon might go faster than a lightly armored guy packed full of heavy weapons and tons of ammo.
Also depends on how much you've leveled up Cyber Legs. I'd imagine any type of starter character would go slow with heavy armor but a character with fully upgraded legs probably goes sanic speeds despite wearing max armor.
Light armor consumes less energy when sprinting, increase your chances of successfully sneaking but it is the weakest armor in terms of protection.
Medium armor is a balance between light and heavy armor.
Heavy armor consumes energy much faster when sprinting, slows the player down, decrease your chances of successfully sneaking but offers the best protection avalaible. Since this armor increases your weight, seemingly harmless falls may be fatal.
From my experience wearing light armour means you get badly knocked back and damaged by enemies wielding close range weapons like shotguns and submachine guns. Medium armour on the other hand lets you slaughter weak enemies with melee, without too much risk. With the right attributes, augs and cybernetics you could go very fast in heavy armour or be tough in light but early on medium is probably the best.
Why couldn't they have made light Jian black and gold like every other set in the game?
>tfw you don't actually get your gate powers taken away
after jumping up and down on an ouroboros symbol
Package? How close to the start? If it's the thing next to the gun, that's a magazine. All ammo comes in that kind of packaging.
There is a different picture on them, and aiming at them tells them which weapon they go to. Also, for that reason, learn the name of the weapons you're using.
It's like you weren't even around for the years it's been out. /v/ always talks about it. Fucking neofags
And you always all ask the SAME SHIT.
>Whats a good build?
>Whats the best gun? XD
>Is research worth it?
>I wanna be a fast ninja? How do?
Image-board friendly crop, hopefully readable in thumbnail.
They're testing out weapon models and shit probably.
However let me tell you, i don't live in france, but where i live we do have a huge underground complex composed of both old sewers, natural caves and WW shelter tunnels and shit.
When you get to the oldest parts and you see piles of skulls from all the people that died because of the plague, holy shit man.
You couldn't pay me enough to go down there without some sort of weapon at the very least.
Does anyone have the problem when hostign a server that it seems that the enemies don't respawn? It seems to do fine in SP as my "limit enemy reinforcements" option is checked off. That setting doesn't seem to carry over when makign a server in multiplayer though. WAs there some sort of console command for that?
I kinda wish the game was even more like Deus Ex when it comes to choices and level design. Right now it's pretty much just "how would you like to rave through / avoid these hordes of enemies" with the plethora of guns, cloak, spells and hacking options.
Can anyone tell me how the multiplayer is in this game? I remember the "this is what I expected/got" pic that mentioned the multiplayer, is this game playable all the way through with a couple friends?
Well yeah, but the huge amount of character customization feels a bit wasted on how simple most of the missions usually are. F.ex. I would have liked to see more ways to utilize the augmented jumping to get to shortcuts / secret areas, piling up objects with high PSI power, more fleshed out hacking than simple destroy / mind control on infinitely spawning mobs etc.
Most of the time it usually just boils down to "run through this shooting gallery area to the objective".
Also one of my peeves was that stealthing through areas / hacking to mind control / using drones or sentries is a bit counterintuitive since you get the most money and EXP out of simple kills. I also found annoying that there was no way to reset your skills or use another character for different runs in a way that it counted to the true ending requirement. After the first cycle leveling up becomes extremely slow and branching your skills to try out something different is pretty much impossible without loads of grind. Even though there technically was loads of different ways to complete the game during the multiple cycles you're still pretty much forces to stick with one style that you leveled.
Same for me
I guess i just expected too much of a russian sourcemod
Still very enjoyable, but a bit too hack&slay for me
I wish stealth was more of a thing
You can stealth, but you won't earn brozoufs that way
>do every objective almost single-handedly within the space of five minutes
>0 bounty brozoufs
>sit around for an hour while meatshields/other people putz around completing objectives
>666,999 brozoufs and a complimentary bioregen research
what's the fucking deal
where are my brozoufs for working hard and doing what the talking head tells me to
this is bullshit
There's two types of multiplayer, single player campaign with other people or simple co-op missions.
The campaign co-op feels a bit tacked on. Only one person can talk to an NPC and other people won't see the discussion in chat so you're forced to narrate it to your friends.
Also if your friend goes to the next area or triggers an event that exits the map the other people aren't asked at all. No vote or anything like "waiting for other people to reach the extraction zone".
The seperate co-op missions are random objectives in random maps. Good for grinding EXP and money, though grinding isn't required in the game.
Also you can use the same character you make in all game modes. F.ex. you can play the SP campaign up to lvl20 then join any other match with that leveled up character and earn EXP / money there.
As for campaign progress, it's only saved for the host of the game.
The mars mission is probably the best but The Jian Purging mission gives a shit ton of brozoufs for almost no effort.
One run through on ghost invasion gives like 40-60k.
Just use bearkiller and cloak to kill everything.
Also use the triangular gate to kill the priority targets otherwise they take too long.
