who /SONOFMAN/ here
Alright fuck you you just made me buy the game on PSN.
I can't wait to fuck up Lucifer again.
yo stuck on Thor in Nocturne.
Playing SMT IV. Only about to go after the Black Samurai in Naruku so not that far in. Any advice on what I should focus on? I'm going full magic. This is my first SMT game and going to try out the other after.
I started playing Nocturne some time ago, just beat Dante and so far I'm still not that impressed with the game.
It feels so lifeless and the plot is moving so slow, but I'll keep pushing it since I always had this shame of never playing it before.
game is made of moments (like the matador fight or meeting Gozu Tennoh), not the sum of its parts.
enjoy the music and environments, story isn't going to surprise you or anything
Yeah, I came to this one just after having a blast with both Raidou games, they were so damn fun to play.
I still have to play Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2, never bothered to do before.
I have never gotten very far in 3 because the AI is so fucking bad.
i've own P3P but i can't bring myself to play it because the No Cut scenes, even though i know you can control your party....
You guy have any particular demons you were fond of, or just really liked the skillset in general.
That mother harlot is kinda useless, i know
Lilim is the lowest level demon with elec nullify. You can see the fusions needed for getting Lilim with Heretic Mansion with the reverse fusion. Having a demon with media will also help. Make sure it's not Uzume though since it's weak to elec
Objectively best demon coming through
Funny I actually beat him. Wasn't that hard but right after I got ambushed by demons that both used mazio (for whatever the group zio is) and one of my demons was weak to it. And it didn't let me run away after I got hurt bad. And died. So 2 random enemies killed me when the boss could hardly touch me.
She actually drains/null/repel everything, but that gave her no space to have actually useful skill. A the time i just wanted a character like that because i thought it would be cool, her sole gimmick turned out to be denying turns to the enemy.
Not gonna agree with you on it being harder, but I will give you agree with you that the AI is stupid as fuck.
>One by one all party members run directly into it
Seriously guys? You didn't learn after the first time?
Oh I know. I just found the whole thing funny. That I was able to beat the boss without much trouble and right after beating him I got ambushed and didn't last past the second round.
But that's alright, since they lose a turn to do it.
This saved my ass when I needed a breathing room in hard bosses, I just went and debuffed them so they had to waste a move, It's a win/win strategy.
It's your fault tho, you gotta think with caution and not set every party member tactic to attack. Or if you do so, be carefull and give them elemental based weapons, such as the fire sword to Junpei. That way, even if the attack is reflected, nothing will happen to him
>Trying to figure out which Mataguchi to ingest to avoid being insta killed by some bullshit
>It seems enemies this Kapla use Death magic
>Ingest a mataguchi that's immune to death
>Figure I'll be untouchable
>Run into an enemy I've defeated countless times over the course of the game without any trouble
>They ambush me so they get first hit
>Puts my entire party to sleep
>Kills them in the same turn
I didn't even get a fucking chance.
>mfw I'm playing Nocturne on the PCSX2 and turn the speedhack on to grind
This shit is kinda addicting, It started with the grind and now I'm always playing with it on.
>not really good at the game since it was the first time i played it
>in a random battle a momunofu starts to talk with me
>he asks a question and, after my answer, joins me
>FUCK YEAH YOU'RE THE BEST DEMON EVER
>keep him for the longest time
>one day see the message that warns me he's going to change
>sadly decide to let him change into another demon
>he changes into arahabaki
>what the fuck where's my badass soldier. I have a shitty doll now
>don't even bother looking at his stats, fucking hated him
>then the first time fight happenes
i still have him. the only other demon i got so close to was archangel, because i made up a silly personality for him.
Rather not. I just fucking hate people that says "Dark Souls of..." It's annoying because even back in the fucking 80's they didn't say "Mario of..." or "Zelda of..." IT IS IT'S OWN GAME AND KEEP IT THAT WAY!
How is Soul Hackers? I currently have $15 on eshop credit and it is on sale for $15 right now. I can't decide if I should get Soul Hackers, Code of Princess, NES Remix 2 or wait for the possibility of either Ace Attorney or Senran Kagura going on sale.
SH is great if you don't mind MAG or first person dungeon crawling.
I can guarantee you that your faith will be generously compensated, goyim. Join our cause!
>That whole fucking article
Christ. I feel physically sick now.
I was ok with that, but then again, I'm a massive casual
>It feels so lifeless and the plot is moving so slow, but I'll keep pushing it since I always had this shame of never playing it before.
Exactly how I felt when I finally beat it last year. It's one of the most boring games I ever played and I'll probably never understand why people like it.
pay attention to the story and youll see that it works like an anime.
there are good and bad episodes, most of the time you'll end up remembering a specific one and not the main plot or the finale.
>Atlus sale happens
>remember I'm in Europe
>Atlus sale doesn't happen
>fucking up this hard
>tfw almost done with DDS1
>this fucking encounter rate
I've been collecting and selling so many fucking cells, why isn't Estoma Spray available yet fuck.
It's made worse by my PS2 causing encounter rates to fluctuate like mad, sometimes giving me back-to-back.
Well 1 is on iOS and people are hopeful they will bring over 2 and if that does well they might be willing to do If... but that's just if you care about iOS. I have it and it's not that bad. The only problem is how awful the battery life on a smart phone is.
>Path of Exile - The Dark Souls of Action RPGs
>Be part Scottish
>Playing SMT 3
>See Satanta in fusion
>got to get that shit.png
>use full moon to bring him to my level
>he levels up and gets all his skills
>gives lu increase
>Something is happening to Satanta's body continue
>Yes I know where this is going
>skill morphs for Hades blast
>gets attack all
>Retaliate, Life surge and Life aid
>even comes back late game as a sub in the final boss with his 999hp
I can't, not have him in SMT or Persona.
I don't want to play Plebsona, P3 was barely passable, P4 was absolute anime trash that I dropped shortly after the first shadow and I prefer the PS1 versions of P2 on account of no Soejima "Art".
You know, I used to be a rabid SMT fan but looking back, the persona series is just more entertaining. I've played through SMT 3 and IV and watched playthroughs of 1 and 2. 1 and two are boring as shit, the only SMT games that are actually more entertaining than even PErsona 3 and 4 are SMT IV and Strange Journey.
Strange Journey was fucking brilliant; the pacing wasn't slow as fuck and there was always a tense and eerie air about the schwarzshit.
SMT IV felt more like a standard jrpg, because it wasn't so damn lonely, you always had either the law or chaosfag following you around. The story was pretty good the first time around.
Strange Journey and Persona 3 and 4 just keep me coming back to rewatch scenes all the time.
Persona 3/4-only player non-waifufag here
Delving into the other games
I have DeSu:OC and Nocturne, what should I play first? I want something thats gonna give me a good SMT experience, fun gameplay, but not so good or so bad that itll ruin the other games
from what I can see, you just enjoy the company of other characters rather than wandering alone in the spooky environments.
Persona 4 gives you all the waifu and bromance you need
If I actually played that shit I would have been bored out of my fucking mind.
What actually happened during the story was fucking awesome but it was paced TERRIBLY.
All of my favorite tropes were present in the tale but I would never again go back to watch either of them much less do a playthrough
DeSu is very different from other Megaten games since it's an SRPG, but it's still very good.
Nocturne's battle system is more similar to P3 and P4, though less forgiving, so it makes a good transition game as well.
I loved strange journey the best of all and you spend a good amount of time alone in that.
IT's just that shit happened a reasonable amount. You came across some creepy shit, or some crewmates and it made the suspense go up. The atmosphere was just better
I'm sure there are about ten other personigger threads you can shitpost in right now.
I like a good balance of story and gameplay and my gripe was that SMT I and II were overtly weighed in the direction of gameplay. Usually that's not bad. I can take a game that's mostly gameplay and little story if it's fun. But the gameplay just consists of walking through bland ass corridors and grinding
>P4 milking will never stop
>We will never get an SMT HD Collection
>Persotards will never shut up about the two worst "Games" in their series
>Persotards will keep spreading their cancer everywhere
>More and more JRPG series are going down the fucking toilet
I need help guys, help me reignite my love for this genre.
>All of these came out on PSN
>Got the real PS2 copies anyway
If anyone here never reached the King's Gate and successfully inherited the throne of Bel, leave immediately and never come back.
From what I saw, the guy had to stop and grind a bunch and fast forwarded those parts.
Also, you can't tell me IV was harder than I and II. IV was BABY tier shit and I beat it before any completed guides were even around
Nocturne wasn't even that bad, either.
I'm speaking of the normal difficulty though
I will never get Fostou Kuzaheehoo because Europe
Fuck I'm jelly, I hope something horrible happens to you.
If Chiaki wants a world where only the strongest survive (chaos), then why do the angels side with her?
And why is Thor also working for the chaotic faction?
I agree, I went into the game expecting to get sodomised the whole way through and it just never happened. Even Lucifer wasn't particularly difficult, just a ridiculous damage sponge that took ages to kill. The hardest boss I've yet fought in an SMT game, Persona or otherwise, has probably been Shadow Kanji.
I've never played a MegaTen game before, only Persona. Which one is the best? I've heard Nocturne is bretty gud but also DDS. Or what about Strange Journey?
Where's my Jack Frost game? I want to get with other frosts and raise He-Hell.
Nocturne had the reputation of being hard since it was the first of the series most people tried out during the PS2 era, today everybody is begins with Persona and already knows the drill
Raidou 1 and 2 have real-time combat instead of turn based. Instead of negotiating with demons you capture them in these little tube things. You can also have your demons accompany you in the real world and use them to do certain things, such as having them fly to reach areas you can't get to, read minds, etc.
I actually got it for a really good deal on Ebay. You still might be able to find it for pretty cheap.
At the moment, it's Raidou 1. The combat is not good but everything else I like, especially dem pre-rendered backgrounds. Though my opinion may change since I still need to play Soul Hackers, SMT1/2, both Devil Survivor games, and Persona 1 and 2.
You probably won't like it, it isn't a VN with shitty dungeon crawling.
Strange Journey is glorious.
Nocturne is a very solid experience.
SMT 1 and 2 are really damn good once you get used to them, really all that's aged are the graphics.
DDS is a smaller and easier entry-level game than Nocturne, play both.
Strange Journey is great, but you might feel intimidated by the mechanics, environment and stuff. It's more enjoyable when you already know what to expect from the series.
They are all really good. Some people feel 2 is the best if you can get past a few issues. If you want to play something new both Nocturne and IV are good. DDS is basically babies first SMT but still really good. And Strange Journey is amazing. Really just pick one and try it out. Like Persona buffs and debuffs rule the world.
Persona 4 on easy mode was harder than Nocturne on normal no joke
>my face after shadow mitsuo
I raised a Parvati up to about level 80, I think. Although it wasn't just that I was particularly fond of her (although I kinda was by the end), it was more that she had a great complement of buffs and debuffs and I couldn't find a fusion that preserved all the ones I wanted to keep. Eventually fused her into a Mithra, though.
Scathach is the fucking cutest, and probably my all-round favourite demon in general, but I wound up evolving her into Skadi because the boss lead me to believe she voided physical and I needed something that did at the time. She's still with me as High Pixie, though.
>excited as shit for DDS on the US PSN because the PAL version was shit
>turns out it runs like shit and is on the same par as the PAL version.
Strange because P3 ran fine, anyone know how Nocturne is?
He is viable literally all throughout game, even if you're going for TDE.
All SMT/Persona games are hard at the start. Since you don't have any spells or abilities to really help you. Once you got to the point where you have a larger selection of demons every game is easy if you know what to use.
>Wanting the piece of shit garbage that is DeSu
>not wanting Quantum Devil Saga
Either you're wrong or SMT I and II were piss easy and I'm very inclined to believe the former.
You can fucking CHOOSE which skill demons inherit. The game is inherently easier because of this simple fact alone.
If you put all of your points into MAG you were an unstoppable juggernaut. You must have put shit into STR.
I had skill morphed a team of godly persona's that had end game skills by then with spell master/arm's master
MFW at boss after Kanji's dungeon
I thought I'd go and look up why you said that.
>Scáthach also grants Cú Chulainn the "friendship of her thighs" when his training is almost complete.
>"friendship of her thighs"
>to her daughter's husband
Both are nice choices. I say DDS 1 and 2 to get a good handle of the Pass Turn system. It's also one of the easiest games out of all of their games. Since you can switch abilities and other things whenever you want outside of battle. Just takes a while to get them. Focus on Hunter skills first and get the ability to stop stomachache and you should be fine.
Holy shit, I made that image.
you got that from tumblr didn't you
Cool guy, well before he got brainwashed and Chaos turned into MUH STRENGTH.
In SMT I demons had fixed skills. There is no difference beetwen recruiting a demon and fusing it. Not that demons are useful for anything in that game besides being meat shields anyway.
I'm fucking mad. Fucking SMT fans can't catch a goddamn break, meanwhile P4fags get 4 things at once. Fuck this franchise.
As long as the Bosses doesn't drain or null shock you can Spam Zio and they have a good chance to be stunned. Even if they have some resistance they can still be stunned. And Nerve Bullets made things even easier. The game was pretty broken that way. IV is easy but not in a horrible problem way like that.
Only SNES I feel. And 1 is on iOS and we might see 2.
Be thankful your franchise died peacefully, SMT4 wasn't that bad. Meanwhile in Personaville
>Ultimax already has three DLC characters and it's not even released
>PQ has DLC personas sold individually
Thanks Sega, can't fucking wait to see what they do for Dancing and P5.
>Playing Soul Hackers
>Talking to some demon about vidya
>SMT? I LOVE THAT, Funky Student is so funny!
>Soul Hackers... what is that?
If it helps any, I did regret it afterwards.
Especially because I only fused Mithra because I wanted something that voided physical for the Lucifer fight, but all his non-elemental attacks are Almighty anyway.
we've come to a point where the mainline SMT series is becoming a spin-off and Persona takes over as the massively popular and critically acclaimed franchise everybody knows about
I didn't want it to die in the first place, why can't P4 die for fuck sake?
>Liking powdered milk from the dryest udder in all JRPGs
>Encouraging them to milk the worst game in the franchise even more
You are the cancer.
I loved Bravely Default but there's a massive problem with it's story. There's a plot twist that really shouldn't have happened that makes the game just completely stop for about 10-15 hours. When they could have just ended at the twist and no one would be upset.
I just started SJ and literally THE WORST FUCKING THING HAPPENED!
I have to name my character, BOTH LAST AND FIRST!!!
I've been sitting here for an hour and I can't figure it out.
But they're all dungeon crawlers.
Magnetite and MP consumption has to be managed as you delve deeper.
P3 and 4 have randomly generated dungeons.
What new would a mystery dungeon game bring to the series?
How is devil survivor over clocked? I'm thinking of picking it up.
>Giving money to ATLUS after what they've done
No, fuck them.
XL it is then.
Will it have stupid ORIGINAL CARACTER DONUT STEEL Robo-girls designed for the waifufag audience?
Name him after yourself like every JRPG. Even if it won't end well you should always do that.
I don't 100% agree with your second part I agree with the first.
Mystery Dungeon is more roguelike than dungeon crawler.
I know that feel.
Your suffering has only begun.
Persona 4 did an amazing job of making me hate it retroactively with each new "canon" story they shove in. Can't even have the slightest of a bittersweet, satisfying conclusion because god forbid they imply Yu spends all of 1 year away from his friends (that he met only during 1 year away from his other friends), have him visit on vacation nonstop and drag them into more shit because they're incredible and the best!!
I'm playing SMTIV, it's pretty fun but who thought random surprise attacks on the overworld map was a good idea?
>Level 25 or so, wandering, supposed to go to Ikebukuro but the one place I found is locked so wandering around more
>Suddenly 2 Ippon-Datara and a Katana dude
Every time, if at least I could have a physical blocking/repeling demon to fuck with their press turn when it happens.
That already happened even in the MT wiki. This was legitimately the default listed games.
>not supporting their last good franchise
>All that P4 shit
>People are still fucking falling for it
Persona 4's milking is the only thing aside from Lightning milking that's ever made me mad in the world of vidya.
Like in the pokemon one after you beat them up they reappear and ask you a question answer right and they will join you.
For dungeons make more stand out set pieces then hall way to next room
Nah m8 here's the roster
>Hero and demon Pascal
with a bazooka
>Serph (with a transformation mechanic)
>King of Bel
I'd rather let it die now and spare it the fate of being homogenized into the same generic shit most JRPG's are now, in all fairness.
It's already over, Anon.
>Unlike the Japanese and North American editions of the game, Shin Megami Tensei IV will not be getting a physical release in Europe — it will be exclusive to the 3DS eShop.
So of course she gets all the porn.
there's more if you search for "bobobo" and "abradeli kami"
$94.99 without import cost's
Do I really wan't this
See this puts me in the same shitty position I was in with Phoenix Wright.
If I buy it then they'll either think "Ah, there's enough interest to make a physical release next time" or "Ahha, those crazy euros will eat our shit with a smile on their face, no need for physical as they seem happy with digital only"
I wish to vote with my wallet but I'm not sure how.
That said I've been buying everything digitally on the Vita and I enjoy the convenience of having everything right there.
Nobody knows when the hell it's coming out though.
OH FUCK EVERYTHING
First we don't get fucking SJ, then arena takes for fucking ever to come out here and now we don't even get a fucking mainline game in a physical form. Never mind we should be getting a fucking giant special edition to make up, we don't even get a cd like you always get with these games
I'm pretty sure being a niche game is what threatened the series.
Or are you trying to say that people who were going to buy Nocturne decided to spend their money on Persona and it's not possible to own both?
>now we don't even get a fucking mainline game in a physical form
oh, but there is! it's called Persona Q!
eh? what is this SMT you speak of? isn't that just an old name that was attached to our popular Persona franchise?
Yeah, SMT has atmosphere, plot, cool ass designs and lore!
Persona has.... Um, has small dungeons and.. uh, well it HAD good writing in P2 as well as a good cast! But yeah, no, everything after that has mediocre dungeons and shitty everything else.
no, but Persona is making the social links and waifu following a staple of the franchise, people will hear the name SMT and automatically associate it with Persona's stuff
I'm not talking about financial threat, but the exploitation of the series' main reason of popularity will slowly change the perception about what the series was originally about.
newcomers and persona fans will love it, but people who liked the main SMT games / DDS / raidou and stuff will have to beg for scraps while Persona becomes the new Final Fantasy
I just realised that it's DMC2 dante that's featured in nocturne....
SMT has always had ways to interact with the story and characters. Wether it is choosing your alignment or negotiating with demons, Social Links are just a variation of those with different emphasis.
You exaggerate things. Go drink a glass of milk and stay out of internet for the day. There's still a healthy number of non-Persona SMT games being made.
Animation's though the PS1 is so much smoother and ever since my brother loaded a save state 6 hours ago that reverted my save I won't go back until the PS1 version is translated.
Might learn moon as well
You're making a lot of assumptions about how Atlus run themselves.
Hell they might have just dropped the series all together if not from the money received form Persona.
I understand that you're angry but it's silly to blame a series when you don't know how it's really changing the production of SMT games, you may as well start pointing fingers at EO and Trauma Centre games too.
Also I fucking loved DDS but there doesn't really need to be another one unless it's a HD Nocturne, DDS 1 + 2 collection
>There's still a healthy number of non-Persona SMT games being made.
Like? Name one coming out in the not-too-distant future, like in the same time window as all this P4 shit coming out.
I could care less about waifus, Persona 2 had good cast and interesting ending, that's about it, everything else was terrible. At least P3 and 4 were entertaining, had a decent gameplay and atmosphere. I prefer mainline SMT over Persona, and I enjoy them both, but Persona 2 fans diss the newer entries because of how popular they are, and because of milking of 4, (which I must say, has really gotten out of hand), on top of that they completely ignore all the bad things about P2, and mumble "m-muh story/characters".
you're delusional if you think Sega (or rather Sammy) will capitalize on what's popular and bringing money
i'm not specifically talking about DDS, i just want more non-Persona games. this isn't an either/or scenario
That's pretty unreasonable considering the 4th installment in the main series just came out a year ago.
He didn't say it's getting as much as Persona, he said it's still getting game sand it is.
You really do need to take a timeout man, you're bitter as fuck at people for liking the same thing you do and something else you don't like. That's extremely childish behavior. Persona did not make SMT any less popular, if you believe that you are delusional, if anything it's been what has made Atlus enough money over the last few years to actually stay alive and make non Persona SMT shit.
Arena is being handled by ArcSys and Persona Q is being handled by the etrian odyssey team so neither of those effect any mainline development.
Golden was easy to shit out as it was a port so most of their time right now is probably on P5.
SMT x FE was confirmed to still being in production at E3 so they'll probably start work on SMT5 (or something like strange journey) once that and Persona 5's done.
>you're delusional if you think Sega (or rather Sammy) will capitalize on what's popular and bringing money
That's exactly what they're doing by milking P4 though, it's popular and it brings in money.
Feel like buying a SMT entry during the 3DS Atlus eshop sale. Which would you guys say is the all around better game, if I could only pick one? I've only played some of Digital Devil Saga 1, it was alright.
On sale till 8/04:
>SMT Devil Summoner Soul Hackers
>SMT Devil Survivor Overclocked
I had no idea what SMT was until 2010 when I played P4 and got interested in the mainline games.
I've played and enjoyed them all, though I still need to play the Raidou games
The P4 spinoffs are shipped out to other people. PQ is by the EO team, Ultimax is from ArcSys, and Dancing is from whoever makes the Miku games. The amount of them might be a bit unreasonable but it's not like Atlus itself is straining to make them.
I have all of the SMT games on the PS2 (apart from Devil Summoner 2 because I'm a Britfag).
I've only played Persona 3 but I'm looking forward to when I eventually get round to playing the rest of them.
>if anything it's been what has made Atlus enough money over the last few years to actually stay alive and make non Persona SMT shit
And look at how much non Persona shit we've gotten since then! Good too see all those P4 dollars went to a good use,
You act like we have got new P4 stuff since the game came out. There was a lull where a load of smt was the thing they were doing and the best persona got was a few remakes. Now the P4 stuff that was in the works is coming out and smt is in the works which will come out sometime after P5
You have seen it. You lived through when what they had was persona in the works and smt being released. They aren't going to release a new full smt game a year, they don't even do that for persona which is getting stuff by different studios
Nocturne for battle system, fusions and atmosphe.
DDS for battles, character and story
Strange Journey for dungeons and demon negotiations.
Persona 4 for more of the same as Persona 3.
It'd be perfect if we got
>Nocturne + Both DDS games in one package
>Both Raidou games in one package (Raidou 1 has Raidou 2's gameplay)
>Strange Journey revamp for the 3DS a la EOU
Oh and SJ also has great fusion mechanics. Wonder why that slipped my mind.
>P3P for first time
You dun fucked up.
I recently got that factory sealed for $15. I like the combat and everything, I'm just tired of being in the same shitty body for the last 4 stages. I want to brain jack a new character already!
>Shin Megami Tensei IV - The Dark Souls of Persona games
This shit heats me. Persona 4 I really thought was harder than SMT4. Once you beat Medusa, SMT4 is a long downhill coast while referencing google maps to know where the hell some district in Tokyo was.
Originally not being able to control your party memebers was bullshit, it only added annoyance. I kinda like how streamlined the town stuff became though the complete lack of models gets annoying at points
So I've been playing IV recently, and I'm actually pleasantly surprised.
I never heard any consistent opinions about it here, some say it's great, some think it's eh, and /vg/ seems to generally think it's good.
I'm really enjoying it so far, been finding lots of callbacks to SMT1/2 and the presentation and music are fantastic.
New demon designs are shit, but I liked Minotaur, and the story has been engaging enough and brought back the whole chaos/law dude thing.
Difficulty is average, but after I learned to buff/debuff Nocturne wasn't that challenging either save for fiend battles.
All in all I like it, different feel to 3 but still pretty fun so far
What did you guys think?
I expected it not to be as good as the hype, mainly because people were fascinated with Nocturne being HARDCOAR (before the Souls fad existed)
I liked it, hope the series continues.
Magic seems really strong compared to physical.
I wanted to do a neutral run as physical but am pretty underwhelmed by my performance.
Dungeons are lame and the lack of random encounters is really nice.
Other than that it is just as good as any other SMT.
But the stronger controls the weak for their "own good" on law, because they see control as a way to protect them. Chiaki just want to destroy the weak because they don't deserve to live.
I love those games, but I wanna move on. Do something new.
Is there someway to revolutionize the social link? It might be the only way to keep the game fresh without alienating the 3/4 fans.
>I love those games, but I wanna move on. Do something new.
Not the rest of the fanbase, they reject all the other SMT games that aren't exactly like P3/P4 so something new would be a pretty big risk
What if social links could affect each other?
>romance a girl that Character A likes
>Character A's social link goes down a few ranks
>you can make it up to him by hooking him up with Character B, which increases Character B's social link
IT'S A FAKE PASSWORD
I MADE YOU TYPE ALL THAT SHIT OVER NOTHING
TAKE THAT SOME DUDE
I honestly don't get the appeal of Persona. The type of social sim that takes up half the game (and is the main draw, I guess) holds no interest for me, while the RPG half feels really lazily made and shallow.
You don't know anything about the Persona fans. You're just an angry faggot making a fool of himself on the internet. You only see what you wish to see, instead of how things actually are.
unless you have an impenetrable digging vehicle, it would get crushed by the water pressure and melted by the lava in the planet's core, not to mention risking an encounter with whatever lives down there since no one ever found out what's at the bottom
if you survived all of that, sure, you would end up at the opposite side's surface
If there's anything I loved about Nocturne, it was the feeling of being truly alone in a place where people didn't give a shit about you.
I just want something that has a similarly oppressive atmosphere.
I just don't get why that sort of thing is popular. It's going around the same few areas, and selecting the same couple of options to boost a stat so you can talk to people, be a yes-man, and get EXP bonuses. For me, there are a lot of character focused games I'd rather play that aren't so repetitive.
You're confused as to why. The fans would probably appreciate a new Persona game. It's lazy companies that do "same old, same old" out of fear of alienating.
You're saying it all the fans' fault.
Are you fucking serious, mate?
I can go on
>buying the psn versions when you already legally own the game and can play in true HD with widescreen on pcsx2.
I guess it's convenient, buy the PSN version still has the shitty low bitrate compressed soundtrack.
>people will hear the name SMT and automatically associate it with Persona's stuff
Its already happening
You're running out of lympha.
>tfw bouncing a whole-team spell back at a boss
feels good man
Also what >>255032897 said. As long as he isn't OHKO'd from an attack, you could bring anywhere at almost any level
What kind of interactions do you guys expect in
