What would you like to see in the upcoming game Bloodborne?
do you want some of the monsters / monster AI from the soul game to make a comeback?
"You're a beast hunter and you are NOT immune to the disease. Health is now tied to blood. Each time you lose health you lose blood. To regain health you must drink blood, either from items or corpses. There is two kinds of blood, human blood and tainted blood. Human blood you can only get from NPCs and other players. Drinking tainted blood will eventually turn you into a beast, which is the game's soul/hollow form. In beast form the visuals of the game change into more of a nightmare-ish look and the way you character controls changes, for harder to play. To turn back human you need to hunt other players or NPCs for human blood. " Source is famitsu and dengeki
No more fast travel from bonfire to bonfire i thought it was boring even in Dark souls 1.
>collapsing treasure room with ~30items in it.
you only get 5 if you are super fast 1-2 will be the average
if you want to get out alive. after its collapsed all the souls you had on you will be lost and you have to take another path
>more bosses that gives pvp'ers a chance to join in
>more verity in chest styles
>A chef npc that makes godtier stew by a campfire
a little witch that is looking for her mother npc that helps you by explaining some mechanics in the game (how humanity works etc)
she will later she will later disappear & when you go back to the campfire with the chef he will have gone hollow & the little witch ring can then be looted from the stew pot.
You fill in the blanks He killed her in her sleep and feed her to other travelers (maybe you had a bowle)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G203e1HhixY E3 trailer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-g-or6-Kb6s Trailer that was suppose to be showed on TGS 2013
there is a reason why gameplay was not showed to the "public" at E3. Fps will get fixed apparently there is a playable version on gamescom
>kinda hope that they remove or make the message system less spammy if they are going to keep using it.
Really loving the Victorian influence. I'm pretty confident that if From can succeed similarly with that style as they did with mid evil, especially with some bad ass bosses and as few dinghy dungeons as possible, this game is going to be awesome.
>half of these responses have been posted before
yes but i wanted another BB thread without shitposting.
besides the low fps, did you notice that the peasants was like 7'4feet tall?
>really looking forward to a more cloth & leather armor based game.
The fact that you have to reference a game having technical difficulties a year ahead of release means it's too late for you to enjoy anything. The ironic shit posters have gotten into your brain and made you actually find such bullshit rational.
it's not like demons souls, dark souls and dark souls 2 all had horrendous optimisation issues
I rather have a permanent Ring of the evil eye system then Lifegems or healing grass
>no shields or armour
This is a good thing. no more tanky turtle builds.
Also shields will probably be in the game just not one of the focused playstyles, peasants are wearing wooden shields in the trailer.
flintlock & Blunderbuss are close range weapons.
and you don't have to use them.
>Not trusting Hidetaka Miyazaki
The peasant in the end clearly has a shield.
>They said that they wanted to move away from the shield: Block attack playstyle and go for a more aggressive style of combat.. but i am pretty sure that you will be able to use shield if u want to.
But the Armored Core games are great and Demon Souls and Dark Souls are equally amazing.
I know you want to hate Miyazaki so bad but please don't embarrass yourself.
Armoured core 4, for answer, two pretty shitty games to be honest.
Demons souls was okay, but it was still the worst souls game.
Darks souls was unfinished, not optimised, buggy and generally of a poor quality as a product.
He's not a good director.
Since the setting's been confirmed to being (I believe) one city only, i'd like something like
>huge crops field in the country side with nothing in it
>small farm in the middle
>go into a shack
>there's a basement there
>huge ass spooky dungeon the size of the crops field inside
Sorry friend but your opinion is garbage. I wouldn't say Demons Souls is the best souls game only because Dark Souls exists. They might have been buggy and shit at release but they fixed it so who cares?
As for AC I doubt you've ever touched a game. ACFA is pretty great, the only problem I have is with the Ark missions and how they can be taken down in a single hit. Other than that it's fun mech action.
And Demons Souls could never be the worst souls game simply because Dark Souls 2 is out there.
I want real Lovercraftian horror this time - some really really creepy monster designs. We've already seen the weird multi-tentacles thing/monster/doorway in the leaked trailer that moves like its underwater. I got so fucking tired of the shitty boring enemies in DaS (both of them). I want more of the fucking weird things that were in DeS, like those man-faced lice in the filth under Latria and the weird manta ray things in world 4.
Also, no three man boss fights. I am so done with them.
I read a translated interview that you will be able to go to other towns
same interview they said that non infected NPC will come out at night fighting the undead.
>not sure if they are friends not.
Demons souls is worse than dark souls 2 though.
Worse mechanics, worse music, not as long, worse bosses, worse weapon and armour variety, worse graphics, worse general area design and interest.
And there is no justification for dark souls on release, it just shows that miyazaki is a shitty director who can't keep up.
Armoured core and for answer were two shitty games.
i'll post it until you like it.
some info about it. don't got timestamp
A million billion optional dungeons.
YOU fuck off. It wasn't shown to the public, you fucking astounding retard. There's nothing to apologize for in the first place because it was clearly not a build of the game they were satisfied with.
post some ideas yourself just because you have read it does not mean everyone have.
>Demon Souls is better than Dark Souls 2
I really hate this. It's not even true in the slightest. The only thing Demon Souls excelled in that Dark Souls 2 didn't achieve too well was bosses, having some interesting ideas/ ones that differed from being humanoids and had actual mechanics in the fight to beating the boss. Dark Souls 2 however has more attacks on the bosses and things to watch out for. Plus the games design is pretty good in the second half. Then you also have the mechanics and the PVP which are still a million times better than DeS. You also have endgame as well.
DeS was a good game, and at the time it definitely was better than darksouls 2 on release, atleast it met the expectations of everyone who wanted it. DaS2 had a lot more to be expected about it and a lot more hype being a predecessor to a very good game. It didn't live up to that hype and now its looked like as if it was shit.
Game looks "alright", still wish it was on PC because if the game lags like the trailer or that gameplay clip then its going to be pretty bad. I don't own a PS4 yet either so I have to find a time when buying the console for this one game will be justifiable. Haven't seen anything particularly interesting about it, and the one mechanic, guns, got reduced to a tool for stunning so I don't know.
This sure if these are true or not but i hope some are.
>Fast travel is OUT but shortcuts as seen in Dark Souls 1 are back in. The world from what I saw was big but it was compact and it reminded me of the way the world connected in the original game.
that sounds shit. I always play souls games offline because I don't want messages everywhere and stupid faggots griefing me to ruin the natural pacing and atmosphere of the game. This sounds like it pretty much HAS to be always online.
Player vs Player is in but not in the ways that the Souls game did it. It still has that Souls-like singleplayer/multiplayer-hybrid thing going on but it's done differently. I don't exactly know how and he didn't go into details but there will be a emphasis on co-op along with PVP, more-so than it was in any of the Souls game.
No soul memory systems or equivalents but will be something there to prevent SL1 twinking. Instead, they're going for a tigher leveling cap that will force players to pick a play-style that has its strengths and weaknesses. No more havels with ten attunement slots fast rolling around using hexes/pyromancies/miracles while dual weilding the heaviest items in the game.
Ah to bad.
It kinda bothers me that i have to get psn+ to play online.... but other then that i think it will be my GOTY
there will be npc's that you can get blood from. not sure if all npc's will have a major role to the story or not. so be careful with your targets i guess.
>I really want a Snow area, knee deep snow
DeS has better core gameplay; no fucking shockwaves or being forced to get at least 20 in a stat for your roll to be useful. No weapon degradation based on fucking frames. I prefer DaS2 PvP but the game is janky as fuck.
Not that guy, but explain to me in detail everything that you specifically dislike about both AC4 and AC4A. I want your thoughts on them both seperately.
My prediction is that you won't because you don't actually know what you're talking about, but I'll wait anyway...Go ahead.
i really hope there will be...
and that patches is hiding behind it
why would you hope for that when the game is set in a gothic city/town?
It's likely that it won't be anything like dark souls in regards to interesting variance in fantastical locations etc.
From early reports it might even be more linear than dark souls.
> trusting Hidetaka Miyazaki
depends how the game is built up but if you can go to other city's. i would love to cross a lake with thin is on it
>it does not have to break it just have to sound like it is going to break.
>just as long as its done better then bed of chaos
the game is set in the city of yharnam
sounds to me like it's not going to have much variance, especially from what we've already seen.
I find it odd that the order 1886 and bloodborne are both being released with such similar aesthetics.
>I don't want messages everywhere and stupid faggots griefing me to ruin the natural pacing and atmosphere of the game.
that is the atmosphere of the game
god damn this fanbase has gotten so shitty
Thats not even he's real twitter, if he even has a real twitter
i thought it was suppose to just be in Yharnam but after i listen to
You might be able to go to other places.
we will see, gamescom is in 14days i hope we can get some juicy details.
Bloodborne looks cool and I hope the framerate will be better. I need some more games to justify a PS4 because MGSV is not enough to sell a system. Not to mention paid online which already brings up more negatives for me. I might have to miss out then.
>the game is set in the city of yharnam
Having the game set in a single city isn't necessarily a bad thing, you have to remember the Souls series is still in the realm of fantasy, there's a lot they can do with a city. Castlevania takes place in a single castle most of the time, but that doesn't mean the entire setting is a generic bland castle with the same gray repeating corridors, because it's a fantasy game, and that gives them free reign to have different areas.
I've just been assuming up until now that anyone marginally interested in BB has already scoured the internet for tidbits of information, but after going through a lot of these threads I've noticed a lot of people out of the loop. Maybe watch this video, and if its helpful share it with others who would be interested.
Am I the only one who liked the Torch mechanic in Dark Souls 2? I really like how it really helped give a sense of security when trying to traverse dark dingy places. I hope it comes back in Bloodborne but can also be used to fend off the lesser monster's who are afraid of fire.
I'd like to see some kind of weird carnival/circus area. Like if you've played Medievil 2, that type of level. I suppose it could kinda fit if this is supposed to be some kind of victorian not-London
I'm coming at you now, m8.
>After crossing through a graveyard, the player comes to a small building, inside that building is a staircase that leads deep into the earth. Catacomb level.
>The player emerges from an alleyway into a a large area lit by fires and torches, with bales of hay littering the area. After progressing through the area a bit, enemies knock the torches and lamps off the walls setting the entire area aflame. Fire level.
>The final boss is the king/mayor of Yharnam, who resides in his large castle. Castle level.
It isn't a stretch for any of those levels to be in the game.
>What would you like to see in the upcoming game Bloodborne?
More tears of PC kids.
First one sounds more like a sewer level, which is the only one I could realistically imagine in this setting.
Also the second one doesn't really fit the traditional lava/fire setting.
All I was getting at was that this would probably be much much less fantastical than dark souls.
Oh I'm sorry, it will reach 30 during a cutscene then after that's over constantly fluctuate between 5-20ish FPS.
PS4 can't even run a port of a last gen game at stable 60 FPS, it will never ever get even close to that with Bloodborne.
Please leave, Bro Team.
I personally think that this game will be more fantastical than the Souls series, but in a more classic way.
I'm hoping for Vampires since the focus of the game is blood, and the "Beasts" look like fucking werewolves, so I feel like they're going to go for a more classic dark fantasy theme.
>he thinks someone care about his indie shit
>he is still clinging to fps argument even though PS4 version will have 30fps less frames
>he thinks most PS4 games don't run at 60fps
Your asshurt is showing PC friend. Go back to change org. This game has nothing to do with you. From is another developer who treats you like subhumans.
>implying indie games are the only PC exclusives
>implying there isn't a difference between 30 and 60 FPS
Is this what console peasants really believe?
I'm probably going to get blasted for this because it's casual, but I'd like for the torch system in BB to be like the dark areas in the Destiny beta. You couldn't see more than a few feet in front of you, and it was really atmospheric. Of course instead of a floating robot lighting your way, you'd have a torch.
I just want to fight spooky monsters in the darkness with my weird saw-switchblade.
>it will reach 30 during a cutscene then after that's over constantly fluctuate between 5-20ish FPS.
Source: my ass. It's pretty pathethic that you have to make up things out anal devastation. Yes, PS4 can easily have stable 60fps, TLOU for example.
by fantastical I mean areas like the crystal caves, shrine of amana, dragon aerie/shrine, iron keep, ash lake, demon ruins, izalith, heide's tower, ariamis, anor londo, dukes archives, shulva, the great hollow, chasm of the abyss, the abyss, tomb of the giants, kiln of the first flame, things betwixt, black gulch, doors of pharros, writhing ruins, drangleic castle and throne of want.
It just seems like the gothic city theme is really limited in what you can do in a wild fantastical sense.
>Beyond Two Souls
You really had to sift through the bottom of the barrel for that pic, didn't you?
Also TLOU doesn't run at stable 60 fps as seen in a video. Nice try though.
>thinking indie shit are not the only PC exclusives
>thinking PC will get any frames at bloodborne at all
Is this what PC swines actually believe?
We'll just have to wait and see, I feel like this time, the fantasy is going to come from the enemies, rather than the setting.
It would be nice to have a more grounded setting, but with fantastical enemies attacking you. Places like crypts, sewers, prisons, and medical treatment areas could be filled with enemies affected by the plague, and they could even say that the plague affects areas as well, to give themselves some wiggle room in making areas spookier.
>You really had to sift through the bottom of the barrel for that pic, didn't you?
They are 10 times better of PC garbagefest you posted.
>Also TLOU doesn't run at stable 60 fps as seen in a video.
Yes it do. It's clearly visible in any framerate video.
GTA V sure will run at 0 fps on PC won't it?
And before you use your strawman of a rebuttal that all delusional console dirt uses, the GTA V appearing in the database happened before anyone made any sort of petition.
You have to consider that TLoU was ported from cell based technology to x86 architecture. And they struggled to get 10fps in the beginning.
Plus the A team of Naughty Dog is currently working on Uncharted 4 and another unannounced title.
Meh looks good but even if I owned a PS4 I don't know if I'd buy it at launch. I've got such a lack of respect for game studios nowadays that you just know they're going to shove it out the back door at launch filled with all kinds of bugs, glitches, and random broken shit then promise to "fix" everything with patches but not before announcing DLC that by all rights should've been included with the game in the first place. If you've got half a brain you'd just wait for the GOTY version six months later like me at half price with everything included.
At any rate this whole console vs. PC argument is stupid. There are great games on consoles and great games on PC, you don't have to pick one and defend it to your death, why not play every game that interests you regardless of how it's released?
Don't worry, I'm sure PS4 can at least run Putty Squad at 60 fps.
Next gen console gaming sure looks pretty.
I hope there is a Witch character. I've always played as one for my first run in a souls game. But seeing as BB takes place at much different time...Im kinda doubtful a witch will shop up.
>PC plebs are so assblasted over lack of Bloodborne that they have to shitpost with topic not related to thread.
This is getting sad
Yeah that sucks too. But I'm open to that really.
The only way I really see a witch appearing in BB is if she's an alchemical witch. One that sells curitives and weapon buffs. But who knows
