>>257019574 The opening is something like a warm and fuzzy afternoon and you see random slice of life moments, and in the end you see 2 kid's legs going upstairs and opening a door of a bedroom then the ending music is the day fadding up, and ands putting figures in a box one by one.
The plot of the film follows the warrior Mario, the actor Kirby, and the soldier Link, all three guided by the god Palutena, on their journey to combat the evil sorcerer Bowser and his forces in a tournament to save Earth.
Get everyone in the smash roster and force them all to live under one roof. Have them interact and get into shenanigans with the occasional fight thrown in. Keep dialogue to an absolute minimum. Also, Master Hand is the landlord.
Ike arrives as the newest fighter in the famous Brawl tournament. Becoming best friends with a hero named Link, he finds himself falling for the Hylian. But when Ike is unable to restrain his passion one night, just how will Link respond? Ike x Link!

>>257019574 How about we make it as shit as possible? Original cool and edgy character who is the creator's self insert has to travel through Nintendo's universes, taking the place of the main protagonist of each series, acquiring his/her powers/weapons/skills and an outfit which is kinda similar to the protagonist's, but edgier. His kawaii furry pet has the power to open portals for such travels and also it talks and eats sweets. MC is chasing a great evil force which is manipulating all the villians in a convoluted plan to erase existence, or something. The great evil is hinted to be Tabuu during the whole series, but in the end it turns out to be the evil side of the main character himself. Also, everybody talks a lot and there's lots of off-screen fights; those that don't include the MC.
>>257019574 Pretty much Carnival Phantasm, but with Smash as a framing device. Characters can visit each others game worlds or they can all meet up at the Smash Dojo and participate in friendly battles. Posting GOAT opening https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z14bv2bGQN8
>>257019574 Slice of Life bullshit where it's just Nintendo characters being dicks to each other; ie Captain Falcon showing his moves to Samus, Bowser and Ganondorf trying to one-up each other, WFT trying to teach the other girls how to do yoga while touching them inappropriately, these are just a few potential plotpoints that the show can have.
Diddy Kong: I'm telling you man, Cranky has really been on my ass lately about rent, and the bananas aren't cutting it anymore.
Samus: You think you have it bad? Every job I've had the past few years have sucks metroid balls. I haven't found a good apartment in ages!
Cut to Link in Kokiri Village.
Saria: I'm sorry link, but you can't live here anymore. First of all, you aren't even Kokiri, and second of all, you're way too fucking big for any of our tiny ass tree houses. I'm going to have to ask you to leave.
Saria: SAVE YOUR SMOOTH TALKING FOR THE PRINCESS.
Cut to Slippy's house.
Slippy: Listen Fox, I'm sorry, you're my bro and all but you cant bum around here anymore. I haven't gotten any action in the past few months with you and Falco partying all night. You have to leave.
Cut to space.
[A Luma angrily holds up a paper saying LEASE and tears it in half, Rosalina leaves saddened.]
Some other cutaways, and eventually everybody is just sitting around in the smash bros training room homeless.
Suddenly Villager walks in and assesses the situation.
Villager: You know guys, I have a friend who could probably hook you up with a cheap place to live.
Everybody seems skeptical at first, but agrees.
Cut to Captain Falcon shaking hands with Tom Nook.
Nook: The contract is made, your fate is sealed.
Cue sitcom theme song.
What do you think guys?
Also Ridley is always trying to break unto the building because he's so lonely.
Fox is having nightmares about Wolf betraying him and leaving him for dead. The only person who might be able to help him ... is a familiar little green dinosaur. Oneshot: Wolf/Fox Fox/Yoshi Wolf/Fox/Yoshi Yoshi/Yoshi
Master Hand rips the characters and settings from different Nintendo universes and creates a new world with all of them.
They are to take part in a fighting tournament for his amusement, and the winner will be granted one wish and will be returned to their world, while the rest will stay and fight until the end of time.
After a while, many of the characters decide to join forces to overthrow Master Hand and use his Final Destination stage to return everyone to their homes.
Some, mainly the bad guys, oppose this because they want to dominate their worlds or something evil.
In the end the good guys are escaping Master Hand and his world on Final Destination thinking that they made it, when Crazy Hand catches them.
They fight him and lose, and they are badly injured, and the Final Destination stage gets sucked back to Master Hand's world.
Since they left, Master Hand had been torturing the baddies that remained, so they decide to agree to a truce with the good guys and destroy the hands and use the wish-orb to just wish they were all back home, good and bad alike.
After they win the bad guys double-cross the good guys and fight them for the orb and lose.
The good guys wish to return home and the bad guys are stuck in another dimension to fight over it until the end of time.
>>257019869 This, but stretch the series over 4 seasons, representing the 4 games >N64: Your typical SoL anime hijinks. Apartment starts off with the original 8, with the secret characters moving in eventually. >Melee: Good and enjoyable in all sense, but the pacing is too fast and you can tell it was rushed as fuck. The apartment has expanded to accommodate the bigger roster. Keeps the usual SoL aspect, but throws in a bit of drama every now and then and an overarching clones plotline. >Brawl: The team has learned from their mistake and decided to slow down the pacing, although most people find it a bit more "boring" than the last season. Old faces depart and new faces move in. Still has some SoL aspects, butt now has more drama than before, with tierlist-esq drama, and more of certain characters hogging the screen time. Or they could just throw everything out the window and give it SSE's plot. Season 4 TBD.
>First I think we need a 4-panel Manga to be Released. >Villager is MC seeing he is self insert in his games >little to no Dialogue SoL >smashers are all together under one roof >While not necessarily obvious, each comic is packed full of super obscure ninty references >Makes a super successful 26 ep anime >that's it though >manga continues and /v/ and /a/ all hope for a continuation of the anime that will never come >anime never comes to america except through very exclusive Club nintendo/ nintendo events
The only characters that talk in full sentences are: >All Mario reps except Mario >Zelda/ Sheik >The Dorf
>Samus, but only when she has her helmet off or is ZSS
>FE Faggots Marth only speaks in Japanese, and there's a running joke that no one can understand what he says and thinks he's saying other things like Toshi in American Dad
>Space Furries >Lucario >Meta Knight and De De De >Captain Falcon >Olimar >Sonic >Mega Man >Wii Fit Trainer >Little Mac >Villager, maybe >Ice Climbers, maybe >Ness and Lucas, maybe
Everyone else can do their gesturing shit.
Have an overarching adventure, with multiple groups heading towards a single goal. Make groups disband and regroup with others, focus heavily on character interaction.
Plot: Tabuu is back or something and he decided to conquer the Smash world first instead of activating Subspace Bombs. Characters are brainwashed from the beginning and after they're defeated they join whatever party beat them. The parties adventure through various Nintendo/ Sega/ Namco worlds, defeating the protagonist or antagonist of that world, until they get all of the Smashers together for a final battle against Tabuu or something. Guest appearances by assist trophies and collectible trophies, helping out per episode.
Captain Falcon's quest to absolutely wreck everyone in the roster, except the girls. The girls are all tsundere for him but he doesn't notice because he's moving at the fucking speed of light and landing knees on everyone's face.
He then trains all the girls in his fighting style and they end up making a big Falcon Team and there is no romance or perverted shit because Falcon doesn't need that otaku pandering bullshit.
All the guys end up being part of the Falcon Team and they all beat up Master Hand, Crazy Hand and a big faceless head with an exposed brain called Master Mind.
They all perform Falcon Punches at the same time and then everything is alright, everything is video games and everyone was happy forever.
No, all the girls love him and flock to him and want the Cap D openly, but he rejects them all stating his only true love is racing, however he is secretly in love with jigglypuff, who is the only girl who doesn't like him.
>beginning of the year >roster for smash academy is revealed >all the characters that got in are happy but some are sad that they're friends wont be returning >everything in the academy is based around a list of the strongest fighters, if you are at the top you can cut in front of lower ranks in lines >the highest tier of students walks all over the lowest tier >each week battles take place to decide the tiers >all the characters share a dorm and interact outside of class hours
In my head it's kind of like slice of life school hijinks mixed with enders game type battle simulations
I would love a sitcom, but fuck putting Ice Climbers, Ness and Lucas in it. They should only be in episodes where one of someones sister or something needs one of the characters to babysit. Full time children in sitcoms are shit.
>>257029797 Shippage actually said he's discontinuing the project because he feel he doesn't feel that he has the heart to put in to it and doesn't want the series to reflect that. He's leaving it as his "Half Life 3 instead of [his] Duke Nukem Forever".
One is a slice of life anime where they all live together in some giant house and them getting into shenanigans, every episode would focus on 4-7 playable characters, and some times a special guest star, which would mostly be the ATs. Master Hand would be the landlord and force them into shenanigans. The Characters would also have personalities that are different from their normal selves, for example Captain Falcon would be shy to women, Link and Ganon trying to outdo each other to get Zelda's attention, Pit being a wet blanket.
The other would just be SSE, Series starts with mario on his quest to stop taboo or whoever, then on his way there he recruits more and more people, eventually the group breaks up to do w/e, all untill the end where everyone comes together to stop the bigbad.
>>257019574 If we were doing a sitcom or slice of life, you have to have a main cast. Usually around 4-5.
Mine would be Link (Ladies man dork, think Barney from HIMYM) Ike (The every man character, the one you are suppose to relate to.) Donkey Kong (Doesn't speak, characters take his grunts and ohh ohh (whatever sound a monkey make) as what they want to hear or what they are thinking, usually to DK's annoyance) Pit (the effeminate male, usually picked on for being gay even though he isn't) Daisy (The butt of most of the jokes, none of there love interests, tomboy, similar relationship to the group as Dee from Always Sunny)
Other characters have relationships with these characters but are not necessarily in every episode. Mario is never shown but implied to be Ikes over-demanding boss. Peach is Daisy's over-achieving sister. etc
>>257032242 Characters that have already had an animated series have their personality based on the most recent one (i.e. Boom Sonic, even if its not Boom design). You bet your ass that means Pac-meme This covers most blank slates >Samus a split personality disorder between Other M characterization and Prime stoicism >Ness is somewhat mature for his age, but still ends up homesick from time to time. Anything I'm missing?
>>257032242 Villager act like a robot, he says hello to everyone once then spends most of his time in to woods cutting down trees fishing and digging. he is a hoarder but he keeps his room oddly neat, if you've lost something villager almost always has found it
>>257033632 I really do find Boom Sonic's egotist jerk personality interesting. That would be if you were talking about the game. His character development is already done when the cartoon series starts so the personality wouldn't be that different from Modern Sonic if they went with the show. Or is that what you were planning?
>>257032242 >Ike is a friendly chad >Lucina is boring type >Robin is friendly and a shippingfag >Samus is 2cool4u badass chick >All pokemon are pets >Palutena is cool young mom type >KI is so funney xD manlet >Falcon fuck all the milf >Marth fuck all the teens
>>257034583 I'm a little confused here I'm planning Sonic as he looks in Smash and Lost world, but his personality would be however it is in Boom Do the cartoon and the game have different characterizations? >>257034816 I'm taking the best way out, are you telling me you want anything but George W Bush Dedede?
>>257035015 The cartoon is set to take place after the games. In Rise of Lyric (WiiU) Sonic is self-centered and cares nothing for the team. Amy: That was awesome! Sonic: Yes, I am. Tails: We were amazing! Sonic: Yeah, you are a great supporting cast. As the games progress he will learn the importance of working as a team.
Have it be like Log Horizon, with all the Nintendo characters wake up and find themselves in some new world, with bits of their own worlds here and there (Peach's Castle is the main location and base of the heroes). The main group the plot focuses on is Mario Link Pikachu and Kirby, with the four of them traversing around Smashworld searching for others from their worlds, meeting friends and foes from other Nintendo games along the way. Other groups form up too, kinda like in Subspace Emissary.
The kicker is that none of them can talk. Mario does his Italian gibberish from the Mario & Luigi games, Link is silent aside from the occasional grunts in combat, Pikachu should be obvious, and Kirby goes around with his Poyos. Voice-acting is very limited and most communication is done via gestures. Only a few characters (Fire Emblem folks, for example) speak fluently.
Plus since this is a focus on all of Nintendo, franchises that don't have characters playable can get representation too (Advance Wars, Golden Sun, Panel de Pon, Wonderful 101, etc).
The Finale is the entire series was the machinations of two children, Sakurai and Miyamoto, playing with their trophies. The kids put down the toys at the end of the final fight and leave to go play video games. A zoom-in on Mario at the end shows that sparkle from the Melee opening
Me and my sister would play pretend using a Zelda version of this scenario.
She would be Link, and I was everyone else.
We would also act out episodes, and even made up whole seasons.
Link was kind of an asshole like in the cartoon.
Zelda was the "only sane person"
Ganondorf reformed, and took up baking.
Tingle was a weird friend who would sometimes stop by.
And Toon Link was Link's nephew who would sometimes visit.
Around Season 3, we start crossing over with other series, and even made up OCs, like a goth girl who goes to a hylian version of Hot Topic called Gypsy Hollow.
Things started getting weird around season 5, when there was an evil Zelda clone named Assassin J, who worked with dark Link, Majora came back disguised as a secretary named Madora, Link had to take care of a spoiled rich girl named Marshmallow, and there was an episode with a Christopher Walken parody talking about how he ended up in Link's world after being abducted by aliens, and wants Link to find his version of the triforce called the Unobtainium.
All the roster lives together in an apartment building
main group is: Mario, the straight man Luigi, the foil Kirby, the wacky quiet one Samus, the one they're all scared of Capt. Falcon, supermanly hopeless romantic Pit, the joke guy
they're on adventures and there's other groups too with their own stories (pokemon trainer trying to catch pikachu/jigglypuff, the star fox guys trying to get lucario to join since they don't know he's a pokemon, ness trying to make lucas "cool", olimar, wario and dedede trying to steal stuff for different reasons, etc)
Make it like Total Drama Island where it's a reality show within a comedy cartoon. >All the characters live together in one place >Each week they go to a different place from a Nintendo game (e.g. one week they're in Peach's Castle, the next they're in Clock Town, etc.) >Each week they have various challenges based on where they are that week, some are team and some are free-for-all >Each week there's two people in danger of being voted off >They fight and the loser gets voted off
>>257022962 This would as a sitcom with Sonic being the self-obsessed main character where nothing goes his way, like with a Mr. D personality.
He has nothing going for him in his career but acts like everything is fine and his new games will be way better while gloating and talking down to Megaman while they're in the same boat. And again even though they're both jobless bums at the moment, everyone loves Mega thanks to his humble attitude and they ignore Sonic thanks to his.
Mario meanwhile is the old friend who is always used as a doormat but yet has the most successful career, most episodes having Sonic use his car or money as part of a new scheme. You can bet he's covering that bill in the picture too.
Cameos from other Nintendo stars each episode with Sonic trying to hit on the girls but never succeeding.
Slice of life set during an inter-dimensional fighting tournament. A bulk of the show is the characters interacting with eachother in every day situation with an action oriented tournament fight every few episodes.
Looking at this thread, it's either SoL bullshit or some SSE-style story. Sad part is, that's likely all you can do without making it drag on excessively or having it become boring.
Master Hand, using a dimensional void pulls out Nintendo characters from every known corner. They're put into a large maze filled with traps, turns, etc. It's half the size of Earth with unique locales. Each character is on his own, but can team up if need be. Some characters settle in the areas they wind up in, others want out. Characters aren't just limited to playables, you get the villains(K. Rool, Black Shadow), Secondary and Tertiary characters, etc. Basically the trophy selection. Master mixes it up with the 3rd parties(only the ones confirmed or in past games)for extra kicks. Everyone speaks English(No poyo bullshit from Kirby or grunts from the Kongs)for the sake of consistency, even the Pokemon.
Whomever makes it to Master Hand then fights him and Crazy and then by winning you can send everyone back home or change the maze entirely from scratch. Basically Deadman Wonderland meets Survival meets Smash Bros.
How bout' this >All the fighter live in their own universes >they come together to fight because the entire thing is a spectator sport >After each fight is over the winner gets paid whatever their world's currency is. >After every fight is done, the fighters just come together to relax.
Luigi Pit Kirby Dedede Mac Samus Olimar Captain Falcon Zelda Wolf
No Mario in the central cast might seem kind of weird, but I like the idea of him being a big gregarious celebrity type who only shows up when things are in a tight fix.
Kirby and Samus would be the biggest stars among the main cast, but I'd like that focus on characters people expect less from. Being the lesser stars is a great springboard for a lot of potential plots.
Wolf is probably my most out there choice. I love the thought of him playing the shoulder devil to everyone else, frequently abetting selfish actions that lead to conflict.
People have been swinging around their choices for the everyman in this thread, but any choice that isn't Olimar is incorrect.
