I thought these were sold out months ago, but I found one today. What are some good 3DS games?
Bought my 3DS a few months ago
I recommend Kid Icarus, Mario Kart 7 and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate perhaps.
I don't have a large collection of games myself but these are my favorites so far.
A new pokemon game is coming out in november so I'd wait if I were you. I kind of regret buying pokemon x knowing this. I also regret buying New! Super Mario Bros 2 for the record.
Smash and Fantasy Life both come out in october. Smash is a no brainer but I'd look into Fantasy Life. It looks like it's going to be good and I'm looking forward to the /v/ and /vg/ fantasy life threads.
I was looking to get it cheaper. I was just pointing out to anyone else who might go to gamestop. I'm going to try pawn shops over the next few weeks. I understand I can just buy it on eshop or amazon or ebay, but I hate buying online. It takes away the fun of finding stuff.
Pokemon X/Y/Gen 3 Remakes
Fire Emblem Awakening
Mario 3D Land
OoT3D if you really like Ocarina of Time and want to play the best possible version
if you like beating the game fifteen times before you see the end credits
Fire Emblem: Awakening is my favorite 3DS title so far. Shin Megami Tensei IV is really good too and so is Mario and Luigi: Dream Team. Pokemon X/Y are really good, but I've been sorta sick of Pokemon since gen IV, so I'd only get X/Y if you know you'd enjoy it.
Super Mario 3D World and New Super Mario Bros 2 are both really fun for platformers.
Donkey Country Returns is amazing. Way better than the Wii version. That would be one of the first 3DS games I'd get if I were you.
You already have A Link Between Worlds, which is a great game, probably my second favorite 3DS Title.
You could always get the remakes of Ocarina of Time and Starfox 64, which were great remakes.
Luigi's Mansion was really fun. A lot more to do than the GCN version and it's a nice change of pace.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf was the best Animal Crossing, imo.
I haven't played Kid Icarus: Uprising, but I've heard it's pretty good. It's like an on-the-rails shooter sort of from what I understand, and it looks pretty cool.
Mario Kart 7 is probably the best multiplayer game on the 3DS.
Monster Hunter is fucking awesome too.
Bravely Default is supposed to be really good, but I haven't played it.
I'm sure I'm forgetting some good games, but I'd definitely consider any of the games I listed, especially Fire Emblem, DK Country Returns, and Animal Crossing. You can always get old DS games and play them, too
>implying buying a game means you validate everything to do with it
i'm sick of you people
Nigger you're as bad as them, and if that is enough to make you drop it out then you're jsut a faggot that does nothing but shitpost about sjw, it also a decision made by SE who give no fucks about sjw , they have been censoring games since forever
Super Mario 3D Land
Animal Crossing New Leaf
Kirby Triple Deluxe
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Mario and Luigi:Dream Team
Pokémon X\Y (or wait for OR\AS)
Kid Icarus: Uprising
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
New Super Mario Bros 2 (only if it is your first NSMB game)
you'll eat any shit they give out. you have no standards whatsoever and you dissapoint me.
I'm fucking poor
Please talk me out of this.
I want to play Bravely Default so bad.
I don't own a 2DS, but I can't see how the screen wont get scratched into oblivion. You'll just wind up having to replace it, so if you're actually gonna commit to a DS, save up to get an XL.
A lot of good games are getting left out itt.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
Shin Megami Tensei IV
Shin Megami Tensei Soul Hackers
Project X Zone
Etrian Odyssey IV
This is a 3DS rec thread, don't derail it so early.
Kirby 3D is a shorter Super Star.
Bravely Default is an easier FF5, but shorter in a way, with less characters.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate it's Monster Hunter 3 again but with more stuff, why complain.
Etrian Odyssey is old school SMT action, but reworked to be about character classes and dungeon exploration instead of demon negotiation and fusion. In Untold there are Grimoire stones, which do sort of the same things as Personas. Really neat.
SMT4 is casual mode Nocturne.
Persona Q is Etrian Odyssey but with a Persona skin.
Link Between Worlds is LttP with vastly improved physics and mechanics, but more linear dungeons and way easier. Hero Mode is the challenge you expect, and 3 heart hero will destroy you.
New Super Mario Bros for if you don't own a Mario Game.
Cave Story + is the Original but with + features, excluding the music.
Kid Icarus Uprising is half Starfox half third person action shooter game, and it has a lot of really cool features like a difficulty slider. Co trols are hard as shit to get used to, and I would recommend against playing it for too long at a time.
Mario Kart 7 isn't great, but Mario Kart DS is.
>watching an episode of family feud
>every time someone says something lewd he freaks out and prays
>tfw just ordered a copy new for 55 burger tickets on amazon
Feels ambivalent man. I didn't want to support aftermarket jewery, but I really wanted to play it before Smash Bros comes out. Hope it was worth it.
some 3ds models scratches themselves when closed
if it's not too terrible you can usually just wipe it off (since most of what you see is really just dust collecting there) but it can become permanent.
I always leave a cloth in my 3ds when it's closed
All 3DS's minus the few lucky ones have manufacturing flaw where the top bottom screen scratches the top while closed. It should come out of the box like that though go ask for a return/exchange. You can stop the scratches by putting those bumps at the bottom of a 360 or laptop on the 3DS or a cloth in between while closed
Oh I haven't been on there in a while my bad. The one I bought was black 2 months ago
I considered getting that bundle, but I'm still holding out for a Majora's Mask 3DS. Plus I just ordered the Wind Waker HD Wii U bundle after being surprised that
fucking Gamestopstill had them in stock.
>caring about the color of your 3DS
what are you gonna do, play it in front of the president? who gives a fuck
Fire Emblem: Awakening
A Link Between Worlds
Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Ocarina of Time 3D
Donkey Kong Returns
Super Mario 3D Land
Shin Megami Tensei IV
Kid Icarus Uprising
Star Fox 64 3D
Kirby Triple Deluxe
Project X Zone
Mario and Luigi Dream Team
New Super Mario Bros 2
Those Phoenix Wright games
Some really great games on the store as well.
>not getting the mario kart 8 wii u and getting wind waker for free and dealing with no tablet decals after saving a lot of money
Not gonna happen anytime soon, m8. They remade OoT for the 3ds, no way they remake another Zelda game for the 3ds. Majora's Mask never sold as well as OoT anyway, so it sorta makes sense.
Online it's really overpriced. you got to just look around, especially if you live in a small town.
Found this at target today new for $40. The box is a little banged up, but that doesn't really matter to me as everything is still there and sealed.
wasn't there an interview around the time OOT3D came out where anouma basically straight up said they were going to release a new game (which became ALBW) and then consider either ALTTP or MM remake?
Was going to make a new thread but I figure I'd ask here.
For any 3DS XL owners, do you enjoy it? Does it feel good? I'm saving up enough to upgrade my 3DS to an XL but my only concern is portability of having it in my pockets.
I'm not sure, but I wouldn't read too much into that since OoT3D came out almost 3 years ago.
I think they'll remake MM at some point, but I just don't think they're going to now given that they just remade WW a year ago and currently have Zelda remakes on both of their consoles
>getting wind waker for free
Say what? Details plz.
A Link Between Worlds was pretty much a LTTP remake before they made it an all new game. Too many hints have been dropped and the idea has caught too much attention and generated too much hype for it not to happen. And Grezzo was hiring to make a "legend."
I have to wonder if the MM remake is coming first and based on sales, if they may be considering a sequel or spiritual successor with a similar clock mechanic. Maybe making it a whole week like originally intended for MM.
I liked it.
I didn't go in expecting a well written blockbuster.
I got a fan service game with a great soundtrack, pretty sprites and okay gameplay.
That was all I wanted anyways
Ah ok. The Wii U was a bit of an impulse buy. I figure we probably won't be seeing a price drop any time soon.
I've never actually played Wind Waker. Even worse considering I had a Gamecube
I own a regular 3DS but have played my friends XL before. I like the XL more, but it's ultimately not worth buying a new system over. The regular one is way more portable and I doubt you can comfortably fit an XL in your pockets
All the "hints" that have been dropped about a MM remake were like direct results of fans begging Nintendo or making fan tributes. I'm not saying it couldn't happen, because it will at some point, but I just don't think it will now given that Nintendo is working on a fucking enormous Zelda game for the Wii U, just released LBW and a WW remake
the 3DS and 3DS XL are the equivalent of the DSi and DSi XL. I would love that bigger screen and battery life, but its not worth the purchase for the same hardware.
I [spolier]played Wind Waker on GC. It is my favorite Zelda. I dislike that the cel-shading has been removed for the HD version[/spoiler]
Remakes are all the rage. And the heavy lifting is being done by Grezzo who already have the engine and a lot of the assets thanks to OOT3D.
Hope they add in a bit of the shadows that were in the MM concept art, but I dunno how that would mesh with the 3D aspect of the game or if they'd go in that direction. Given that an aim of the art direction in OOT3D was to more closely match the original, I can see them doing that.
>A Link Between Worlds was pretty much a LTTP remake before they made it an all new game.
Except that's wrong. They came up with the wall-merge mechanic, then decided to place the game in LttP's world, then built the story from there.
Basically, they followed the traditional Zelda development method.
fire emblem was fun to me.
I mean, they only have the engine for the game if they release it on the 3DS, which I'm not entirely sure they would.
I would absolutely love to see a MM remake (it's easily one of my favorite games), but I'm just kind of doubtful that we'll see one within the next few years.
I think it's either 3DS or nothing. While I can understand the thought process of those wanting an HD remake on the Wii U, there's no way. Unless they remade the entire Hero of Time saga, maybe throwing in a TP remake to boot.
Semi unrelated but OP could potentially have a new game for his 3DS
So yeah I just redeemed my platinum gift and I don't have a 3DS and already have all the Wii u shit so here's a dong returns 3d code because I'm nice
Tell me if you got it
speaking of 3ds does anyone have the drawing where a guy wearing a fedora sits on a park bench and a mental thought bubble says something like "i dont care what people think andthat makes me an adult" or something like that
OP get Crimson Shroud... It´s Utterly underapreciated and has an Elder God Tier Soundtrack
Try the demo faggot, check if you like what you see.
