isn't there a usb adapter for 4 controllers?
Although the lack of a Luigi design and the fact they have to plug into the Wiimote is a bit restrictive...yes. I'll be getting the Yoshi one on release. The comfort of my favourite controller with the addition of compatibility and buttons. Good stuff.
Not that I don't like the Pro controller or the Gamepad. They are comfy. Just not AS comfy.
That's the kinda of shit you get a gamestop
Buy a proper official controller off amazon instead.
>this mangled abomination of a controller
Playing on Gamecube was the fucking worst because of those things. I'd sooner touch the fucking Steam controller than this Fisher Price garbage again.
Those shoulder buttons look kinda spongy. That was the one biggest complaint I had with the Gamecube controller. The second was the C-stick, which became slippery when it wore down. Oh, and no clicky R3/L3 equivalents, but that wasn't the end of the world.
guy from nintendo domination heard that GC VC is coming in november
You mean Rosalina, right?
I wouldn't say no a Pikachu one either.
>not owning glorious mango
Best controller best colour.
>not Emerald Blue
>Not owning the almighty Emerald
It's like you're asking to be laughed at.
I want to play Network Transmission, Double Dash, Wario World, and Twilight Princess again without spending a fortune on discs
or fixing my computer for Dolphin use.
Same goes for N64 classics, some games just aren't meant to emulate.
>Costs less than the Smash gamecube controllers even before factoring in the adapter
>can be used without the GC adapter
>gamecube controller 2.0 design
>doubles as a classic controller pro
>No one's had their hands on it yet, it could be cheap shit
>looks like it has a glossy finish
if I get one early to play smash with they might come out with more colors
>no Luigi version
God fucking dammit you already made the four Wiimotes! Just complete the set!
What the hell? With the announcement of the GC controller adapter, I thought they were going to start producing GC controllers again. Why are they wasting their time with ones that you have to plug into a wiimote?
>tfw these controllers will be 60€ minimum here
that's cool they're making a mrio contr-
>princess peach controller
Look at this fucking shit. It's a Gamecube controller with two actual analog sticks and two sets of L/R buttons. And then they go and make it a shitty Wiimote addon.
Those controllers are just standard GC controllers though. It's the fact that they made the design perfect on these that makes me so angry that they're not actual WIiU Pro controllers.
>console on the edge of the table going over slightly
no! NO! NOO!
>hey guys, nintendo is doing THING!
>YES YES FUCKING BASED WOOOOOOOO NINTENDO DOES IT AGAIN HOW DO THEY MANAGE TO KNOCK IT OUT THE PARK EVERY SINGLE TIME
all they did was make standard non gimmick controllers that everyone else including themselves have been doing with tacky kid friendly mascot color schemes and this thread just goes apeshit
Agreed. A japan bro recently came down and gave me two white ones. They were both $15 and one was even new in the box.
Saved my ass from having to buy them on amazon or ebay and pay triple that.
>Man, fuck SFC controllers. Holy shit those short ass cords.
Yeah I noticed that. I asked him to pick me up a few of those to and I was shocked when i got them. I even sit close to my TV and they're still too short. Thank god they were only $2 a piece.
So... what's the point then? Isn't the whole reason why they use wired controllers in tournament because they don't want to sync up a bajillion wii remotes? Doesn't it being wired TO a wiimote defeat the ENTIRE purpose of the thing?
This is a problem?
Just accept the truth anon.
You're more likely to get laid playing Zelda then Titan Fall or The Last of us.
I have never understood why the hell people sell their old things for table scraps only to hop on to the newest thing and then drop it days later. Do you not see any value in the stuff you've owned and enjoyed for years, or something?
Why is Yoshi's primarily white instead of green?
I pre-ordered the Mario one back when they were first announced several months ago.
I do wish they made a Luigi and a Wario one, especially seeing as how there were official Gamecube controllers with those characters.
why the fuck couldn't they just make Wii U pros in the shape of GCN controllers?
>mfw at first glance the writing on the dildo looked like "madcatz"
what have you done to me /v/
>Not cooking cabbage into cabbage soup, the GOAT soup
U fucking wot m8?
I sent a brand new wavebird to some anon from russia
>Those shoulder buttons look kinda spongy
>friend recently came back from japan
>asked if I needed something
>said no but I'll tell him if I think of something
I NEEDED FUCKING GAMECUBE CONTROLLERS FUCK
For whatever reason, specially colored/decorated themed controllers have never really done much for me. I mean, I wouldn't think poorly of anyone for having these, that's for sure. But they're still a bit... garish, I guess, for what I'd want to personally buy.
That said, in the grand scheme of custom designed controllers, these are pretty much the most minor offenders ever.
You wouldn't believe it but the PSO keyboard controller is super comfy.
I don't get why Nintendo ever decided to make their classic controllers need to be plugged into Wiimotes to work but I still ordered them because I like the idea of having controllers original Wii games that I can also use as extra controllers in Mario Kart and Smash Bros. Plus, even if I don't like them, I should be able to sell them for a lot more than the original price some day.
Of course it is. It's a wide Gamecube controller.
It's the same principle behind the Game Pad. It may be wider, but your hands are still holding the same parts, so it's just as comfy.
same here. my shit has to match. every console and controller I own is black, because it's the only color EVERYTHING comes in eventually. keeps my entertainment system looking pimp and not like children own the house.
They added a left shoulder button, select button, home button and made the c-stick a normal stick.
All they needed to do was make the sticks clickable and make it actually wireless and it would have been perfect.
>I will be playing on a Wii U Pro controller anyways, it's amazing for Project M.
How did you get a Wii U Pro Controller working with Project M? I bought a CCP just because of Brawl. I've only been able to play Melee with my Wii U Pro Controller.
I think you mean Windows drivers. The Linux kernel itself has support for all Bluetooth Nintendo controllers. I just paired my Wii U Pro Controller with no problems. But yeah, I've also jumped through the hoops of that Toshiba Bluetooth Stack loophole bullshit to get the controller working on Windows, it's a shame.
A bit unrelated but has there been any comment as to whether this will work for Wii games like Brawl?
>It plugs into the Wiimote. It's even compatible with the Wii. How else would it read?
Two types of controllers are being discussed here. He wasn't talking about the ones in the OP, he was talking about regular controllers with the new adapter like in his pic.
>Mods deleting posts because of hurt feelings
tldr ga ga goo goo
>implying I own a console
Face it the controller really does look like Nintendo had 6yo in mind when it was designed and you can't accept that.
And what makes it even more hilarious is that a mod deleted a post stating that fact
>tfw these are rare and expensive club nintendo rewards
One day, I will own one.
New to Smash, this will be my first one, why the hell are people compelled to buy/re-buy old controller designs for something that seems to be a 3-button fighting game? Seems like a waste of money to me.
For some reason, Nintendo hit the nail on the head with Melee and the Gamecube controller. The button layout was perfect for the game and it just felt right.
It's almost as if the Gamecube controller was made for Smash.
Actually, what if melee was designed for the gamecube controller's layout? That seems possible, not hard to believe nintendo would try to make sure that a fighter has good button layout by designing the fighter based on the button layout.
