I went to my first Smash tournament.
Why do people hate tourneyfags? They're pretty cool. Playing Project M and Melee with them was fun.
I lost the first round of the winners bracket in PM and lost the first round of the losers bracket, but it was still fun. I was able to Combo someone into a 9 as game and watch.
Melee was fun too, I played Pichu and won two sets but lost the third in winners and losers.
Anyways, general smash thread.
>Why do people hate tourneyfags?
Because the ones that are cool people and just bros in general are usually quiet and stick to places where there are other cool tourneyfags.
The loud, obnoxious, "ANYONE WHO DOESN'T PLAY MY WAY IS A FAGGOT" ones are everywhere else.
And then you've got faggots like this guy.
Fuck you and people like you.
Smash is NOT about playing the way you want. Smash is NOT a serious fighting game, and Sakurai is a complete retard to let any of us have control.
We should NOT be able to turn off items, we should NOT allowed to ban characters/stages or even edit the random button.
Smash Bros is all about wacky crazy fun with four friends. That's it. Nothing else. If you aren't playing this way you ARENT HAVING FUN!
If you don't play this way, you need to get the fuck out of /v/. It's the only way the game should be played
>I'm bad at video games so my way of having fun is the only way to have fun.
I really hope this is bait. I want to believe there really aren't people as retarded as you out there. You're doing the exact same thing tournyfags do, you dumb fuck.
>I played Pichu and won two sets
rumor has it they're adding pichu bros in project m
also the tourney hate only comes from the really young audience who feels threatened by tourney play. no one is coming to your house and forcing you to play with certain rules.
What are your mains folks?
Ness, Kirby, Samus
Ness, Kirby, Samus, Mario.
Ness, Kirby, R.O.B., Samus, and some Lucas
Ness, Kirby, R.O.B., Mario, Meta Knight, and some Samus.
Good on you, OP. I went to my first tourney last week and had tons of fun, too.
I lost both of my sets in Winner's, but I managed to get pretty far in Loser's with Peach and Olimar. Hopefully the experience was good and you got some feedback on how to improve.
>Be G&W Secondary.
>Use Bucket severely in my playstyle
>Never played a Link before.
>Know he has a shit ton of projectiles
>Think I was going to win easily.
>My face when every single projectile Link has does not get absorbed by the Bucket
and i plan on maining Mac in Smash4U
Yoshi, Link, Marth, Falco
Yoshi, Link, Ike, Falco
I hope they buff Yoshi for U, hes become such a scrappy in brawl, but stomping pretentious meta knight mains with him is so much fun.
for enjoyment of getting good as them?
I've been having fun as Ganon due to sideB and uptilt, link/toonlink, and for the first time since I was 6 years old
all of dat 64-like combos and sideways upBs makes him so satisfying to use.
if you are ok with people being mad as shit at you, diddy is pretty good and is even more of a asspain to people due to wavedashs being able to pickup items
What the fuck do you want him to do? He can't really gimp Diddy (his fucking recovery eech) and he can't combo him. Do you want him to just get off the ledge and get stuffed by projectiles and extremely fast disjointed projectiles that make Marth jealous?
Personally I say Roy if you're absolutely new. His down tilt is great at showing you how to recognize the kind of hitstun you generally need for combos and it's generally a really good combo starter all together
He's my spirit animal. I love that he plays to win in the most purposefully cheesy ways.
The difference between him and Mew2King is that ChuDat knows he's playing gay
i'm also just salty towards diddy, who is way too good imo
most of the janky new brawl characters really turn me off pm
Always trying new things. Learning new ways to sticky people with Snake, and just using Mewtwo against shitty Flacos and Foxes on FD. Kirby is just for funsies. Having fun with PM, even though some game design aspects and members of the community really annoy me
I went to a tourney a month ago, but I didn't play because I was still learning my way around project M and I was feeling a little under the weather, but from the looks of the competitors there, I probably could have taken most of them as ROB.
I watched my friend compete in the tourney and he did well until the 3rd round. In his first game of that round he played as Ike and his opponent played as Snake. My friend won the first match and I could tell that ticked off his opponent, so his opponent switch to Ganondorf and I shit you not, he just spammed side B and trapped my friend in an infinite loop and won the next two matches letting him move onto the semi-finals.
Now some people might see this as legit strategy, but I just see it as someone being a tryhard faggot. The other people competing were total bros and I spent some time playing Mario Kart with a real qt 3.14
I might enter the next tournament when it comes around, i've been getting better as Lucario and I want to see where i'm getting as him.
I'm pretty sure it's because "Tourneyfag" is a buzzword and has been for ages now.
A tourneyfag is a mediocre player who tries to emulate higher tier players because they're trying to get better. They emulate pros despite not knowing why the pros do the things they do themselves so they end up sucking anyway. Tourneyfags will suck the fun out of anything they play to try to look as pro as possible. They will bitch when they lose too because they refuse to look at what they did wrong.
This is the type of guy who will rage at other to play with no items in Smash and ban nearly every stage and assume FD is the most fair stage (even though it isn't, but they won't know this). A actual competent player knows why items are not allowed in tourneys but has no problem playing with them because they know exactly how to use them to their advantage. A competent player will always beat a lesser player whether items are on or not (probably even more since they can catch items thrown at them or perfect shield them).
I wonder how many people here have actually played with a tourneyfag.
Actual tourney players are usually cool.
The dumbass kids that hang around here, GameFAQs and Smashboards who bitch about balance, advanced techniques and tourney stuff with the current game but don't know what the fuck they are talking about are the ones who are a problem.
As a Ganon player, you really have to guess where people are going to roll. Not only that but many seem to not know that you can instantly tech out of the choke so he can't follow up with it. Also any Ganon will immediately stop flame choking once you dodge that shit so many time. It makes him so open to many smash attacks.
I play Ganon as a funsies character, my friends are so fucking predictable and complain that my slow, coreographed atacks are overpowered
i need to get a computer for netplay and find people who won't quit when they're being juggled on their first stock...
>Play Smash against people at work
>Their faces when I pick Sonic or Mewtwo
Juggling people all day is so fun.
>Playing a friend
>He's jsut fucking around, chooses DDD, h doesn't really play him
>I choose G&W, I actually play him
>Green Hill Zone
>Basically 0 to death him
>He comes back with a new stock
>Do a tiny bit of damage to him
>Jab, into side-b that lands a 9
>Kills him 4 seconds into his new stock
>mfw that shit works against DDD for some reason
>having cool people at work
I wish I had cool people at work
almost everyone is in extremely late 20's-50s besides 2 other guys then me. I think one might play smash cause of a zelda-like tatoo he has, but he's kinda an ass and the boss's son. the other guy plays japanese RPGs on his phone at lunch, so he probably doesn't play with the idea of getting better at the game.
a rule of thumb for most moves that seem very good and have range is to actually do it when in someone's face
they either don't have to react, can't dodge it, or really didn't expect it to happen and don't know what to do.
Falcon (play melee the most)
Hardly play brawl tbh but when i do with friends its usually falco or falcon
Playing falcon in P:M is super fun cause nobody plays falco sheik or jiggs in that game.
I only have like 2 people to play vidya with now since one just retired. Not only that but of those 2, one was moved to another area and the other is on vacation. Now the only people that are around hate Japanese games for who knows what reason.
I know exactly what you mean. My friend picked Ike and just walked up to me and did a forward smash. I was so intimidated that I would immediately side step or shield. Then he would just kill me at 60%. It was embarrassing how much I fell for that. Since then I've thought to use Ganon's forward smash more. Also throwing out a up smash doesn't hurt. Up air is the go to move that's very reliable but that up smash is too good to not use sparingly.
DDD is big and spreads his arms out when hit which means he spreads his hurtbox/hitbox more horizontaly
he wasn't Di'ing away from it
first part of GW's jab pulls people closer to you very slightly and the other puffs send people back and forth
>tfw none of my co-workers play video games because they're all 40 to 50 year olds and I'm the youngest guy on the team.
the pay was good though
>Tfw you find your equal in vidya that has the same taste in vidya and porn at work
people end up not playing jiggs in PM due to everyone's recovery being buffed with alot of ledge-snaping and good tethers.
there isnt too many jigg mains besides in canada, let alone good ones to begin with.
jiggs is super unsafe to play as in PM and playing as Pit, Peach, or kirby is must better of a option.
>that feel when you are a jiggs main with a falco secondary and lost most of your invincibility options as well as kill options
but stick to them anyways
>Now the only people that are around hate Japanese games for who knows what reason.
while smash is made in japan, it doesn't look blatantly Japanese like RPGs and shit.
just racism or "only mature games for mature gamers such as myself" I guess?
lucky you. The youngest co-worker I had to work with was an
apple fangirl who was hired to work on QA test software that worked on Windows
But anyway I haven't played much of PM. I have it installed though.
>caring for proof on an anonymous image board over something that isnt hard to do nor uncommon
even 8 year olds can get into a smash tourny, if they wanted to, same as they can buy a video game
do you need a picture of someone's receipt for then they claimed they bought a game anon?
Good to know you constantly bring proof of how much of a faggot you are.
so its aerial glide tossing but with waddledees?
>NO PROOF DOES MATTER FUCK YOU FOR ASKING
Why should I take any blog on /v/ seriously ever?
A first hand experience is by definition a exception to how a majority acts.
I could pull the same shit and get called out on it.
I could say "well, my christian friend was beaten up by a group of athiests. Why are you asking for proof? This isn't some outrageous claim!"
jiggs sucks in P:M. can't edgeguard anyone. but jiggs is so good in melee I'm not even mad. I think peach sucks too. She got like no buffs and all the top tier characters in P:M too floaty for her to punish hard can wreck her.
>tfw aerial glide tossing was nerfed for toonlink
Pretty much, they count as an item, but not an item you can hold.
So you air dodge into them, and in braw/PM air dodging into an item causes you to pick it up. But since it's not an item you are suppose to be able to hold you automatically throw it, and it carries your momentum through.
It also works on the stage.
Only mature games for mature gamers such as myself.
>Play Etrian Odyssey
>"Why don't you play more mature games?" (Despite EO actually being pretty grim at times)
>Play porn games
>"All you play are perverted games."
>Play Dragon's Dogma
>"Game looks like some retarded Japanese shit. I would rather play Skyrim."
There's no winning.
Anon, don't reply to shit bait.
People are actually discussing video games in this thread. No one said anything about brawl or casuals until some shit posted came in and tried to cry about tourneyfag boogieman and stir shit up when nothing was even happening.
>i went to a public event
>it wasn't all that bad
>compared to a hate crime
>that ridiculous leap of logic
what the hell point are you trying to make? go get fucked, you silly goose. you aren't making any goddamn sense.
Anyone watching Low Tier City tomorrow? M2K against Wobbles should be fucking hype. Especially after that crazy match on Thursday.
And for PM, I want to the see Awestin vs M2K and Sethlon vs M2K (though Lunchables vs M2K would also be cool).
>she's got like no buffs
aerial glide tossing for turnip juggling, a good uptilt with priority and her sideB and sidesmashes not being utter shit.
crouch canceling being stronger in PM makes her downsmash more punishable twords crouchcancelrs.
jigglypuff can't edgegaurd as well yes, but his rollout can now snap to ledges on almost every frame of it meaning you can grab zip twords is and grab it before someone else if both of you are offstage.
peach I feel is better in PM and can Bair-wall people better then in melee. you really have to play her differently though.
jigglypuff has one small buff that the devs refuse to acknowledge or don't even know its there (not that it isn't a good thing) and will soon be better due to people getting recovery nerfs.
>Why do people hate tourneyfags?
Not many people do, it's just people on /v/ stirring up shit and making up shit. This persona of a guy who will only play as Fox with no items on Final Destination got popular on here and now people think thats how tournament players actually are
>I played Pichu
Also how the heck do you get that far with Pichu but fail miserably in PM
Just the tourney name. A lot of Texas players play characters considered lower tier though. Oracle plays tons of low tier characters, lots of people play Roy or have a pocket Roy (especially Sethlon, who is the best Roy), Dakpo is probably the best GnW, Awestin is the best Ness. There are relatively few spacies, Pits, Mewtwos, or Sonics here.
Dakpo is awesome
>Play Game and Watch, have snake as a secondary
>Can DACUS just fine with Game and Watches 1 frame window
>Can't DACUS worth a shit with snake, who's is by definition is twice as easy
Anyone want to play smash. I'm on wii and in west coast. I'm at a decent level, but still want to get good/better.
>he can't combo him
>most of the janky new brawl characters really turn me off pm
Yeah, especially Lucario for me. It's just like playing a completely different game, if you're good at Lucario all you need is one hit and you can cancel out of this and that and do combos for days.
>Fuck up once get rested or edgeguarded
welcome to every second for the jigglypuff.
one knee is death over 40% and Uair deals a good amount of damage as well as knockback.
most jigglypuffs can't handle pressure or being hit in general. you can bait them into using pound to attack which gives you an opening, and shielding before they use rest will result in a free falconpunch (even if you die you can falconpunch when jumping off anyways).
there are many things a jigglypuff has to deal with to not die, you only have to deal with 2
more people play melee at tourneys with PM and melee
alot of people who play PM at tourneys came from brawl and have little idea of how to play melee due to their choice of characters and what technical things they utilize.
playing pichu is hilarious because the other person either does not know how to play against a pichu, or ends up expecting you to be super terrible and doesn't try as much as they should, then becomes unable to rebound into being good.
No, its rather simple really.
Anyone can recite first hand information from a first hand personal experience and try to use it to generalize a massive assumption to be wrong.
Here, I will give you a example.
Lets say someone believes this generalization: "Because nazis came from germany, all german people are evil"
While its a stupid assumption to make, do you know what won't prove this wrong?
If I were to say "Well I have a friend that is german and he is nice." That doesn't prove shit.
So saying "I went to a tourney and had a good time" to try and prove that "tourneyfags can't be bad" wouldn't work. Its called being bias by personal experience.
Snake can DACUS.
G&W, Wario, Ivysaur, Sonic, Puff can Gatling (I think I'm forgetting someone) Gatlings are also easy as shit to do.
Also side note, G&W and sonic can instead do a Gatling grab so to speak. In which instead of an up smash they do a grab.
I don't know how to set up the psudo wifiservers on the wii, nor have my wii in my room right now.
People hate tourneyfags because they're
not as good at they areand prefer a more casual game
Smash Bros is one of the few games where, if I lose, I honestly feel like I lost because my opponent out-skilled me. Not because of a build order win, not because someone on my team was a feeder, not because of hacks. When I lose in Smash, it's because I was bested.
Most plebs don't share this humble philosophy and thus direct their lack of skill to jealously and rage, which is directed at Tourneyfags, who just want to test their skills and see how they fare against others without pleb shit like stage hazards and pokeballs.
who the hell gives a shit, dude? this isn't a scientific study. motherfucker didn't go around surveying the convention to make sure everyone was a cool person or not. he just stated he had an experience contrary to his expectations and our discussion carried on from there, and you're the only one in the entire thread taking a problem with it because i guess his wording blew up your autism or some shit.
>he just stated he had an experience contrary to his expectations
Yeah but what's the point about making a thread about it? What's it going to change? Who's opinion is it going to sway?
Its really just someone posting it to be contrarian really.
>So saying "I went to a tourney and had a good time" to try and prove that "tourneyfags can't be bad" wouldn't work.
was he claiming "all tournyfags aren't bad" in his post though anon?
from what I got he was asking why people hate them while also using the term as a description for people who actually go to tournaments and are having fun instead of what the term is used for.
The word "tournyfag" was originaly used for >a person who pretends to be good, claims to "know" how to play good, and forces rules on groups he plays with instead of asking for certain rules.
why are you trying so hard to keep a wall up in front of you anon? Why don't you just play the game you enjoy (if you play smash at all) and just avoid people who try to force rules when you want to play with items or your group of friends already agreed to play with items.
Why does it matter if OP actually went to a tourney or not when he just wants to talk about smash
How do I git gud as Wolf, I'm really bad at using Shine, hitting Flash and getting KOs
Last time I saw a PM thread get started, the OP did so by stating how much better of a game it is then melee.
Another time, they were stating how PM is the most complicated fighting game around.
I could go on, but you get my point.
Not trying to start shit, but there are better way of starting a PM thread.
Speaking of which, have you ever gotten pissed at how reasonable threads tend to die quickly, while threads obviously meant to start arguments get the most posts?
Also, thanks for listening to me instead of just calling me mad and posting assumptions like most of the people here do.
Practice and play against good players
I don't give a shit why people keep making shitflinging OPs but considering how those threads inevitably get actual discussion it clearly works
I am so beyond glad Sheik does not have a tether. Oh how stupid that would be.
I don't hate him for that, but I do hate him for doing 142 ledgegrabs in a single match on stream.
Can we talk Melee here too?
M2K vs Wobbles was the best set I've seen since
Mango vs Armada at Genesis 1. How the fuck do you do this? It's like Wobbles learned how to control Nana as her own separate character.
Fsmash is still good
dashattack is very odd and can be unpredictable for the opponent.
flashing should be canceled/shortened as well as angled downward to get it to work in close range, and is best used to hit someone on a platform while they are teching.
I like jumping off the ledge and hitting someone on the main part of a stage when they are being too aggro, but this is a risky as well as a predictable thing to do and not really recommended
shining someone is odd I'll admit, so focus on using his Dair to hit someone to lead into it same sort of way falco does I guess.
his moves focus on juggling and lead into his flash mostly easily, if you can't do that sorta stuff then you might need to reconsider if you should be playing him for anything other then funsies.
It was fucking great. I hope they play tomorrow at LTC2
(and they will because no one else here really stands a chance in Melee IMO).
Makes me mad I missed it live, though. I wish the locals weren't on a Thursday.
>his moves focus on juggling and lead into his flash mostly easily, if you can't do that sorta stuff then you might need to reconsider if you should be playing him for anything other then funsies.
Or practice until you can.
Wavedash or air dodge into an item, you auto pick it up.
Aerial Glide Tossing is just airdodging in a direction while at the same time using the c-stick to toss an item. It basically boosts you in whatever direction that you air dodged into, and doesn't leave you in a helpless state if you did it right.
>It's like Wobbles learned how to control Nana as her own separate character.
because that is iceclimber's gimmick. you can control nana separately (to a degree) by desyching the iceclimbers due to Nana's delay on reacting to your inputs.
dashing back and forth 3 times, being hit, having only one L-cancel a move, or being in a grab are good ways to start that sorta shit.
I forgot to add that you should be using lasers for area control and make sure to waveland the second one hits to either fallback or be aggro
Link, Kirby, Mario
Never played Melee
I am good with every character because I know the cons and pros and calculate accordingly.
I hate players who just pick X and pick them the entire time like they don't know how to play anyone else and then they just suck. I tell them maybe they have a better chance with another player but then they are throwing a fit ,so absurdingly stupid.
well of course he should practice, but if he ends up practicing and practicing with no results then it might be better to just be someone else with wolf still being worked on until he gets good with him.
>none none of your friends want to play smash with you because you actually try to win and play seriously, inevitably beating them every time. they try to prevent you from playing MK, just because he's OP, even if he is your favorite character.
and yes, they play with fucking items. I haven't been invited in a fucking while. Then again, I don't know what I expected from casuals. I'm so fucking tired of this shit.
To be fair that local was basically a national
Almost everyone who's at LTC was there (except the socal guys, they were late). Literally a difference of 4 people for the melee entrants.
Desynchs. Wobbles is controlling Nana and Popo individually.
I wonder what happened to make wobbles drop wobbling.
Just inspiration from watching Fly go at it? Just wanting things to be more fun? Gonna guess it sure as hell wasn't anything we said.
I'm relatively new to the scene, but from what I can tell the Texas scene mostly moved on to Brawl when that came out. Then of course that died and now PM is number one.
Dash Attack Cancelled Up Smash
Certain things can cause nana to delay on future inputs (usually when Popo can do something but Nana can't.. You do this on purpose so you can do crazy shit.
Dash Attack Canceled Up Smash
You cancel your dash attack with an upsmash, but your upsmash keeps your dash attack momentum/distance, Which makes you slide forward like in my weebm and in >>258325239
>actually try to win and play seriously, inevitably beating them every time
create a honors ruleset for you to follow so you a gimped to a small degree that allows matches to either be close or not be a full on rapetrain.
rules such as
>don't use a final smash when you pick it up until someone is at kill%s
>don't play like a complete asshole
>don't use items to juggle off of people's faces
>don't use a specific move
>only get kills by going off stage or by doing something flashy like a falconpunch
>self-destruct when someone else does something stupid and non-purposeful (like fox using his sideB when below the stage when he was trying to use his upB) or if you fail to kill someone in a cool way
a selfgimping rulset is a good way to still play good and have EVERYONE playing have some sort of fun instead of just you
>they ban metaknight
but he isnt even banned in tournyrules... are you just playing him like an asshole?
I go to those.
As somebody not even remotely interested in P:M, it sucks that 80% of the venue has turned into P:M... I mean it's still solid tourney-wise since there's like 40 entrants to Melee but friendlies are in that one little corner...
I heard (which means this probably actually means fuck all) that he just would rather do the coolest craziest shit, so he only wobbles when it's his only option, like when he gets a grab in the middle of Dreamland.
A lot of Ice Climbers actually feel bad when they wobble. No idea whether or not this is true for him.
hit sideC and then immediately upC when you are running, put L R or Z as "attack" so your thumb is free to hit upC or quickly put your hand in a claw hold to be able to hit A and upC
you could also mash A and quickly move your stick to do a upsmash
Still probably not as hard as fox's multishine
then again I rarely see Fox actually mutlishining because of that, whereas Dakpo can DACUS all day
I know that feel, I'll never be fast enough for that shit
DACUS in PM is a lot harder than it is in brawl.
Muscle memory, it's actually pretty easy once you have done it enough, also some character have a 3 frame window.
I've found the easiest way to do it was to actually think about the inputs needed.
For a longtime I was basically just doing all the inputs at once, but you nee an ever so slight delay on the attack input.
How I do it is, be dashing, quickly flick the cstick down to start a dash attack, while flicking the cstick down, mash the control stick up and hit Z.
A side note, character with a 1 frame window can't use Z to dacus as Z is simply the input for a grab (shield + attack, but it shields for 1 frame, then attacks on the second, which doesn't work for a 1 frame window.) You cna still do it by either hitting A, which is weird and uncomfortable as fuck while mashing down on the c-stick and up on the control stick. Or, but changing one of your button configs for the shoulder button you don't use. For instance I use L for wave dashing/ l-canceling and I never use R. So I bind R to attack.
So for me, I do this.
Dash, immediately hit down on the c-stick and up on the control stick, then immediately hit R.
Why cant /v/ just shut the fuck up and play the game
We could be posting dolphin codes and setting up matches with one another
>LOL CHECK OUT MY ROSTER RIDLY IS IN IT
>OMG HACKERS AND CHEATERS WAVEDASHING SO TRASH
>what are secondary's or using a selection of 5 characters you know extremely well to counterpick certain other characters
>mfw I discovered how to do it all on my own playing against my brother
we don't have gamecoube controllers just wiimotes and nun chucks
"competitive" smash is hardly fun at all. Retard-tier mind games, random movement, unpunishable attacks and movements, an air dodge that doesn't have a drawback except a few measly frames, and abusing footsies and pokes with retarded hitboxes on them. If anything, by disabling items you retards are dumbing down the game. Each item would add a different mechanic which you would have to adapt on the fly except of relying on your cookie cutter playstyle and autistic behavior. There is a reason the rest of the fighting game community mocks and dreads you subhumans joining our events. On top of bringing your shit game in, all of you are cringe worthy dweebs, under-aged drama friends, bronies, and fedora users. And you refuse to wear deodorant, to boot.
nobody is stopping you from showing your code and setting up a match anon.
if you have the "PM netplay community build" or the checksum with 6 as the first number I'd be happy to play a set of first to 3 wins.
I even have melee and brawl if you'd like.
the thread has mostly been discussion about gameplay and helping people with their playstyle instead of what you listed and has been fine being just that, but once again nobody is stopping you from starting a couple netplay matches.
please read a thread before posting about what is in the thread anon.
DACUS isn't that hard once you get used to it. Even though it is essentially 3 inputs in at worst 1/60th of a second.
When you are trying to learn it it can feel impossible, I know I felt that way. But it really is pretty easy once you've got it down.
My only problem is that it's hard to find a use for it sometimes. For Ike, it's not that tough to perform, and I feel like I know when to use it. For Roy, it's pretty hard to pull off for me since I have to use the A button instead of the Z button, and I have no clue when to use it since his Up Smash is a lot more situational.
It's pretty character dependent in all honesty. While some characters have godlike DACUSes (G&W, Lucas), others have shitty pointless ones (peach, falco).
Also Ike can Quick draw cancel upsmash, for a pseudo dacus with more range.
And now you're going to say I edited this, blah blah. Look at the fucking post again, idiot. He isn't pretending to be retarded, he's making a fucking joke mocking people who act like that. If that isn't painfully obvious to you, you're not very bright.
Samus and Kirby
Peach, Zelda/Sheik, Mewtwo
Peach, Zelda/Sheik, Samus/ZSS, ROB, Lucario
Same as above, minus Samus and adding Rosalina
When I can actually play itSame as above
Yeah, I don't even really play Ike but I've killed tons of people with QD upsmash, (which is also tons easier than an actual DACUS, as you can just tap jump, c-stick up to do it).
Done several b-airs into it, and just a couple catch jumping people off guard with it as well.
not that anon but lets get a match going
HOLY FUCKING SHIT NEW CHARACTER ANNOUNCEMENT
WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY
>Subbed to Isai's channel forever ago
>He hadn't uploaded shit in years
>Suddenly uploads like 40 videos
>Think your bullshitting
>Look it up.
Atleast his Final Smash is cool, fierce deity mask is pretty gud
>go to CEO
>smashroom filled with people who are decently dressed, and all going in and out of the room to do other things like go back to their rooms
>water stations set up as well as fans
>room was pleasant to play in besides people going OH when something big happened or the people running the pools yelled for people
>go into the fighting game room for a half hour to wait for the 16 player FFA that was being run on PM
>tons of people who were overweigh all carrying their sticks, a bunch of people wearing brony merch or carrying fightsticks with extremely lewd, pony, or lewd pony art
>people who were getting excited over some dude pulling off the same combo 6 times in some SF game
>the whole room smelled like ass
I'm glad I went for smash
is Isai autistic or something?
never had anything to do with the Smash community but the Smash Bros doc made it seem like there's something off with him. Not M2K levels of odd but definitely not normal.
Also he seemed hella depressed, like ready to kill himself.
Nobody outside of his closest smash friends really know. He's probably just some mixture between a hard introvert and some depression. I hope it's not ask because if that girl like the doc made it seem.
I wanna play 64 with him ;_;
Do you actually know him? He's talked about how the documentary affected him. I'm not saying he isn't like that at all, but they did play it up.
On the plus side, apparently inspired him to tone it down more.
he might be
he had a hardlife for sure
m2k may have seemed depressed because thats really how alot of people with autism are like
you can't express your emotions really well and always seem like one. my autistic foster brother always seems like he is angry at everyone but really isn't.
who knows maybe he really is depressed due to how people talk about him in a negative light or is uncomfortable with talking about himself.
"match already started, cannot connect"
have fun anons
>I'm not saying he isn't like that at all, but they did play it up.
Now you're just not making sense.
The only thing I dislike is how they made Hungrybox the 'look how totally responsible and adult-like' foil to him.
oh no I'm fine, I just know the wolf poster was going on about how nobody was playing and I offered a match
I guess I was late though. I'm just gonna do some other stuff. have a good night anon
I dunno about M2K, he seems pretty alright when he's streaming, although it is possible that he's just putting on an act, but he doesn't seem depressed or anything. That being said, he was probably worse off a few years ago than he is now.
M2K's stream is fucking strange.
As far as I know he's not depressed. He is pretty fucking autistic, but by all accounts he's having tons of funs with PM and will no doubt enjoy Smash 4.
And since he's supposedly leaving EMP he may actually get a real sponsor who will actually give him money instead of fucking him in the ass.
The last time I watched his stream, the flambouyant gay black guy M2K lives with was physically forcing him into the shower because he smelled bad, while scarflard and Armada played P:M, then the black guy made an impromptu song about how much of a douche Leffen is
which is 100% factual.
The time before that, flambouyant black guy invited over another flambouyant black guy and they streamed until 6:00 am.
I'm a casual but I wanna git gud in Kerfuffle
Besides Link might go for Little Mac, WFT or Palutena.
But by god I hope the online doesnt suck this time around. I'm gonna need it, only one of my friends plays Smash and he's gonna stop playing after 4-5 weeks
Falco, Link, Falcon
>op's story is of him playing the game for fun
>asks why people hate tournyfags
>doesn't realize the people he is playing the game with aren't playing the game to have fun
OP just fucking kill yourself, you're the reason why stupid shit like Project M exists.
>he thinks everyone is a hardedge who expects to win
I go to every tourny I can
I come in dead last unless I'm playing in doubles with someone other then my brother.
I love playing it
Mario and Falcon I guess
probably Falcon and Marth but I also play the other "top tiers" just not as well
Ike? Didn't really play it much
Falcon, Toon Link, Ivysaur, picking up Yoshi, pretty much everyone since the game is a lot easier
Out of the way, fucking peasants.
Please make Ganon good in Smash 4, Sakurai ;_;
yeah, i guess not being there is probably theobvious answer and probably what i should be doing, but i try to power shield it on reaction and fuck it up. it seems practical if you dont have shit execution/reaction like me
He saved Bowser, he could do it again.
Too bad he hates Zelda.
>he saved bowser
you mean made him slow, gave him a sideB that doesn't kill nor has control to use as a kill, and also doesn't lead into combos.
oh and I guess he didn't need his fortress hog either.
and this was done twice
