How about a good ol' fashion Demon's Souls thread?
Doing my first playthrough. Finished 1-1 and 1-2. Barely made it through 2-1 and 2-2. 3-1 was easier; now I'm stuck at artificial difficulty gargoyle that doesn't give me time to recover and counter attack.
Trying a FAI build, but can't find any spells besides heal and those 3 you can get from that guy in the Nexus.
Also, I can't find materials to upgrade my weapon to divine. Is there an upgrade path that scales with faith in Demon's Souls? And when do I get it?
Using a bastard sword and getting raped.
Shrine of Storms
Still haven't seen anything about Bloodborne that looks promising. Hoping that will change.
favorite boss, flamelurker
level: Latria except for maneater, fuck that
npc: "i'm stockpile thomas",
weapon: Dragon Bone Crusher, Blue Blood Sword
I actually finished this game last week and was thinking of playing dark souls but thought against it, in my opinion this experience was flawless and great but its a once in a lifetime concept, everything else is just demon's souls: electric boogaloo
The False King was definitely the most challenging. Can't say which boss I actually enjoyed fighting the most, though.
The Shrine of Storms.
Ended up using the Flamberge throughout most of the game.
Demons souls is a boring, unfinished, uninspired kings field derivative with a less imaginative director who didn't really know what he was doing.
Dark souls was somewhat more realised and interesting, but still lacked focus and was generally uninteresting due to a huge rushed schedule.
Dark souls 2 is a polished, quality game that bought back core values of what makes games like this truly special, and I for one congratulate the team and Naotoshi Zin on accomplishing that.
I just started playing it
I killed the first slime boss thing
Just one question, how do you level up in this game? I only played DaS so I'm more accustomed to the bonfires and stuff but there's only Archestones in DeS
I wouldn't mind dark souls 2 that much if they just kept the somewhat retarded, yet functional controls from DS1
I'm having to slowly learn all the little imperfections of the PC port so I don't inexplicably fail to attack or block
Yay this thread again
Doll Demon, Garl, or Old King Allant for the feels and dialog.
Shrine of Storms 1 is probably my least favorite, maybe. Still fucking love it though.
MiB, or Biorr. So many of them are fucking awesome though.
LSoM, Greatsword, Meat XCleaver, Uchi, DBS
Tower of Latria
Go up to the area around the fire. Roll around there. They attack slowly as fuck.
Maneater isn't that tough. You just gotta know what you're doing.
If you want help (and are in the US) I'll put my summon sign for you. I have a level 40ish character that's pretty damn powerful.
>Ctrl+F Great Axe
>No results found
Y'all need to get the best weapon in the game. Shit is powerful as fuck.
Old Monk, Astraea
Latria/Shrine of Storm
Thomas and Biorr
phosphorecent pole all day every day
My golden nigros.
Motherfucking Garl Vinland.
Shrine of Storms
MiB of course
if it counts as a boss, then the old king who wears the green armor.
otherwise the false king allant. i don't know why people complain about fighting "humanoid knight" bosses, they're my favorite
boletaria castle, i love exploring castles. close second is latria of course
probably patches, very interesting character design. backstabbing motherfucker who turns out to be a merchant and has a bit of darkly humorous dialogue
False King, Penetrator is great too if only for the shock of the first time when Biorr suddenly appeared and wrecked him
Definitely 5-2, but 3-1 gets a special mention for the incredible sound design
Based Thomas, I also really like the Filthy Woman from 5-1 and 5-2
Picked up DeS this morning for a fiver. So far I've killed the Phalanx, the metal spider, and I'm struggling with the flamelurker. Although I fell like a retard on my first time getting down to him.
Maiden in Black
Scimitar or long sword.
Storm King. False King Allant is a close second just for how fun he is.
Either Shrine of Storms or Tower of Latria. Both were executed extremely well and I enjoy going through them. Only downside to Latria is Rydell's yelling, which is incredibly annoying.
Cannot decide between Stockpile Thomas, Biorr, Yuria, and Ostrava. They're all amazing.
Northern Regalia, just because I liked the idea of twisting Soulbrandt and Demonbrandt together to make one whole weapon.
There was this thread today already. Nonetheless it's:
Flamelurker / False King Allant / Penetrator (solo)
2-2 / 5-2
Biorr / Yuria / Thomas
Blessed Knight Sword +5 / knight shield / BBS
there was also fav OST so:
Flamelurker OST / "He who craves souls"
Storm King if only because of Storm Ruler
It's Fanart made by guy called Vanipo. It supposedly presents fictional boss invasion and co-op fight in a nexus (as far as I know).
Looks like Taurus to me, albeit in the wrong game.
I don't know yet, I've only killed 1-1, 1-2, 2-1 and the Tutorial boss in 4-1.
I thoroughly enjoy 4-1, despite being really shit at the game and being far too low for that area. Those skeletons are fun.
I don't know, not far enough into the game. Possibly Maiden or Executioner Miralda, because she creeps me out.
Bows are fun. Soul Arrow is overpowered and makes playing Royalty take away the 'edge' of the game.
Also for some reason the Grey Demon's Soul is lost to me on my highest level character and I'm thinking of starting over completely. If I want to get the most trophies out of a playthrough, should I?
>everything else is just demon's souls: electric boogaloo
It... It is. But DaS is pretty damn good in it's own right.
