So I just finished pic related and I really enjoyed it. So let's have a discussion about it.
Dat normal ending though:
So basically ludger will go down the same path as victor which will make the time loop for all of eternity, right?
Best party member.
Other faggots need not apply
>tfw I had a fat cat like rollo years ago
Rollo is cool but he'll never be the series' top dog.
Muzet can because of her space and time travel ability, but Milla has to burn mana every time for a physical body and she doesn't want to take any from the world while they're trying to fix it.
I'm sure after Jude learns how to make Spyrites she'll come down whenever he wants her to.
Gaius gets off free, but during her story it shows that the party is still scared of Muzet and still thinks she's insane. It also shows that Muzet feels like shit for what she did and is trying to change.
fuk u faget
say dat to my face fuker not online and see wat happens
Didn't that loser lose to a little girl? He can go suck a dick.
Why do I have to backtrack the same maps from Xillia 1 2x-3x?
Why is the main quest behind a money wall?
Why do jobs need an item that has a random chance from dropping in the cat fetch quest which takes real time to complete?
Why the fuck is the mc mute and only has autistic facial expressions in the first playthrough?
Worst fucking Tales game I played in a long time and I started with Phantasia.
Fuck this shitty game. What a fucking disappointment.
Done and done.
What now, nerd?
Honestly, it was a shitty attempt to make the party and by extension, the player feel guilt for destroying the fractured worlds especially since you've already done that few times. The fact that he was gonna digitize your ass regardless meant I couldn't even feel sorry for that asshole and his shitty world.
Well, someone had to educate Maxwell every once in awhile.
How badly does the silent protag hurt the tales dialogue and the usually pretty good characterization?
I watched some cutscenes on youtube and it looked awkward as fuck with people speaking for him and he just grunting.
It's honestly awkward as fuck. Ludger's not a particularly good character because the whole "silent protagonist" shtick hurts him most when he's pretty much the only silent dude in a sea of very expressive characters. And since for the most part, the choices don't actually matter, you get stuck with a character who follows the usual good guy archetype.
>stuck with Asbel 24/7
Truly worst despair.
Not really, Fodra is my bitch so I have that to enjoy...plus, I'm a final boss who lived and as the main character now, once I take complete control of him, I'll have his plot armor as well.
How is it a loop?
Victor's entire goal was to be in the prime dimension, which Ludger already has covered. It's an ideal ending because it means you get Elle back without the drama and she gets a decent father.
He's more expressive than I thought he was going to be, but it definitely causes problems. They managed to make his relationship with Julius work despite his general silence, so that part of the game was still affecting, but with Elle they clearly expected the player to project some white knight/daughteru business onto her with minimal input from the main character.
His goal was to be with elle as he was turning into a catalyst meaning his time would be limited. So he devised a plan to reincarnate and thus get more time with her. And wasn't the thing about the prime dimension that every dimension was a prime one and that there wasn't a fractured one?
Victor just wanted Elle to be born in the prime dimension. Ludger solves that problem simply by existing in the prime dimension.
I thought he normal ending was a bit creepy and manipulative. It was better than the "True" ending by far, which is a cop-out story-wise to pander to the most retarded aspect of Japanese culture, but the normal ending?
sees a woman he's never met, only heard of, and starts crying because he knows she's going to give birth to Elle. He's using this woman so he can have the daughter he wants and clearly knows nothing about her or her personality.
Which is actually fitting, considering if you read the Kresnik Clan info from the Japanese guidebook, that's exactly what Bisley, Ludger's father, did with Ludger's mother, who was the previous Key.
The multiverse is described as one large floating bubble with small bubbles floating around it. The one large bubble is the prime dimension. Bisley is not lying, there is only one prime dimension.
Wasn't it that alternate dimensions were created by Kresnik infighting and overuse of their powers? If he already knows this and has no reason to start more shit himself AND the trolling from the spirits is done, there will be no repeat of what happened in the past/alternate future. Even if you go with the Elle ending, history will still repeat if you assume Kresniks will continue to fight each other for some reason.
But that doesn't mean anything for the purposes of determining the lives of the characters in the game. The trial took thousands of years to play out. Only the one taking place during the course of the game matters, and that gets resolved.
There's no time loops in Xillia 2. It's alternate universes.
It's more like the Futurama episode with all the universes inside of boxes that have one main difference from the normal universe.
Muzet doesn't have to leave. Her body is specifically designed to travel between the spirit and earthly realms at will with no detriment to anything. She simply left so she could hang out with her sister, she'll probably come back once in a while.
Gaius got away with it because he's the king of all Rieze Maxia, and a king who established the legitimacy of his rule through force at that.
Muzet got away with it because her brain was fixed.
>Why do I have to backtrack the same maps from Xillia 1 2x-3x?
Because it's a sequel
>Why is the main quest behind a money wall?
Because plot. Can't really justify this one.
>Why do jobs need an item that has a random chance from dropping in the cat fetch quest which takes real time to complete?
Then just do the kill quests instead
>Why the fuck is the mc mute and only has autistic facial expressions in the first playthrough?
Because if he talked it would be a spoiler.
And there. Beat it, did...about half of the EX dungeon, decided to just move on to NG+ since I already have 5k grade.
So is there a title/trophy for doing both options of every conversation choice? Since the one I picked last playthrough is checked off now. I don't want to have to be the dick in-game if I don't need to be.
The important thing to remember is that you can't LOSE affection, only not gain any. If you carried it over from the previous game, then at least half of your characters are already maxed in that regard if you did half of the dungeon. Which means that considering character quests, the others are at at least 4 or 5 hearts, making them easy to max in a second playthrough.
True. At least it means I won't have to grind poker like crazy for buying friendship potions again.
Also before I went to NG+ I paid off the debt and got the hotsprings ending.
>Muzet agrees that the boys shouldn't be in the same co-ed bath with them.
You're a fucking lying bitch. Your thirst was so real that if dicks were water, you were trapped in the sahara Don't give me that "I don't want them to see me naked" bullshit, you let a complete stranger grope your tits for "research".
I managed to beat them, though I was pretty overleveled. I think i beat the revived bird at around lvl 126, and even then he was doing like 2000 dmg a hit.
Also there's still the EX dungeon to do for all those silly character replacements.
There are these wierd costume things anyone can equip that come from the EX dungeon that complete replace the character's battle and field/cutscene model. All of them are programmed to be able to do every animation those characters did for that cutscene. Here are the characters you can get from the EX dungeon shop (taken from an old gfaqs thread, so some names might not be localized)
2. Elle Mel Mata costume
3. Ivar costume
4. Wingull costume (black haired version)
5. Jiao costume
6. Presa costume
7. Agria costume
8. Julius costume
9. Bisley costume
10. Redau costume
*couldn't really find the name of these 2 below that well*
11. Driselle costume
12. Crayn Shall costume
13. Celcius costume
14. Nova costume
15. Vera costume
16. Cress Albane costume
17. Mint Adenade costume
18. Stahn Aileron costume
19. Rutee Katrea costume
20. Bruiser Khang "Mighty Kongman" costume
I take it you haven't seen the fuckers that keep posting entire parties of Elles or Driselles.
>Elle or Driselle
>not wanting a whole team of CHAMPIONS
When it lets you return to the entrance there will now be a glowing red fireball in the middle of the room with the party. That's the shop.
Beat a boss and a glowing orange sphere will appear at the entrance that sells them to you.
Better start saving. Some of them require 50 bells like Elle's, Mint's, Rutee's and I think Julius'.
I've seen worse.
It's not bad, I like it.
No Eternia is mediocre (which is funny, because the guy that voiced Reid went on to be the voice of Sly Cooper, so he CAN act). Xillia 2 is above average for an animu game dub.
Yeah it's true, Reid is listed on his website. Apparently he really liked the character and was glad he took the role because it gave him a lot of experience in voiceover work for vidya.
He was kinda disappointed that he wasn't called back to reprise the role for the Abyss cameo.
It was either Jude's actor (Sam Riegel) or Kyle Hebert. I can't remember which because they can have similar sounding voices for just yelling attack names, and the tales wiki only lists his Eternia actor. Pretty sure it was Jude though.
Animu games don't get good dubs. The last game I remember that did was Ni No Kuni, and that's because it was given the Miyazaki treatement for obvious reasons.
You compromise in that regard.
Then the text in this case would be japanese, which I can't read. The only games I do that for is SRW, and that's basically a fanservice series. I only did it for Vesperia because I didn't have a 360 and wanted to play it.
>the cfw and undub it
I don't cfw my ps3 and I don't pirate games.
>Or complain to Baba, maybe he'll give a fuck and add the voices back in the future.
The games have to be specifically programmed to function with dual audio capability. The only reason Symphonia HD had that was because it was designed that way from the start.
It's also harder on a different technical level because the localization re-times the animation of the mouth flaps to match the dub, so it would be actually out of sync now with the original audio,
Why the fuck do you faggots play these games?
There's not a single redeeming thing about them. On paper, it sounds all fun and dandy but the combat isn't very fleshed out compared to proper action games, the story and characters are mostly generic and the designs aren't anything to write home about either, at least the majority.
If we're lucky. God knows the seiyuu unions are picky as fuck with their work being brought overseas outside of anime. They just love to jack up the prices like crazy for no reason.
It's why I didn't like Legendia. The game had god-tier music and enjoyable characters, but it had no multiplayer. Not to mention the battle system felt like a step down from even Eternia.
Though I don't think Tales Studio made Legendia, I think it was the Soul Calibur team.
Well I have to admit I didn't expect this level of honesty. At least the community on /v/ seems to be pretty alright.
>Get into 20 million gald debt
>Get shunned by all his classmates and friends because they're afraid he's trouble
>Lose brother and potential love interest
Being Ludger is suffering.
Julius was probably the worst bit. After that it's just manipulation to try to get you to throw away a good ending and waste your brother's efforts on someone you just met and can get back later anyway. I wasn't fooled by their stupid Japanese traditions.
>Luke swimming in money
that's pretty funny considering a good portion of Abyss is spent in "wartime economy" where everything is pricey as shit and you'll have to think twice about every purchase
I actually found that money was easier in X2 than any other Tales I've played.
You can get around paying the debt when you don't want to and otherwise it's easier than ever to make dosh, I was never struggling to buy upgrades.
Did anyone notice the job requests by Dhaos, Richard, and Zelos halfway through the game? I'm pretty sure there's one from
Hideo Babaas well.
No, that isn't the point at all. It was about being together, and taking the easy option doesn't do that. It was also about growing into someone who can be responsible for their own choices, not someone who asks one guy to shoulder everything after already being forced to do unspeakable things in your interest. Also she'd be the same person because lolreicarnation and anime genetics.
I'm not a shut-in who naturally wants to protect any little girl I'm presented with. Even in-game Ludger doesn't really think of her as his daughter in a meaningful way, as the event notes demonstrate. Julius is his only real family.
>I'm not a shut-in who naturally wants to protect any little girl I'm presented with.
You weren't simply presented to her, you had the whole game for her to grow on you. If you didn't become attached to Elle by the end then I don't know what to say.
>Elize Episode 3
>she wants to negotiate with terrorists.
What if you can get her to take a bath with you?
>that skit where Malik jokes that Poisson is Pascal's daughter and Fourier is Pascal's mother
>their ages actually do match up to being compatible with the age for reproduction
Ending with old Rollo with shaggy ass furr, no longer wandering around, just sitting on the beach sleeping all day, getting his son to do all his wandering for him
If that doesn't hit a person in the gut they are a monster
Isn't Fourier like, 2-3 years older than Pascal?
New areas open up constantly as the story progresses.
Even now there should be some side quests and elite monsters for you to go fight, you can go explore the Abyss too if you're past Helioborg.
>not saving her so that you can hold the burden of protecting the multiverse yourself
The role of a hero is a lonely one anon.
Though this would have been fixed if there was an option to just ask "make it so that no new divergence catalysts can be made". Then Ludger actually CAN destroy all the fractured universes and it doesn't matter how much he abuses the kresnik power because there's no longer a downside.
Julius closed maybe a few hundred, Redaux slightly less. Ludger would have to close more than 900,000 dimensions before dying of old age.
But if Ludgers from other dimensions are also closing dimensions wouldn't that completely halt the exponential growth in the first place? How are there any fractured dimensions at all?
I agree with the other Anon. The suicide plot is retarded. The entire game is about living with your decisions, and suicide is nothing more than an escape from them.
Saving Elle or not is not going to change the overall fate of the world with the current decisions. The Divergence Catalysts are still going exist. As you said, if they had wished for no divergence catalysts to be made, then something would have changed.
The suicide is simply for the drama and because Japan.
Yep. Beat the game in the normal or true endings and you'll get it.
It's sexy as fuck, but as said above, there's no Victor hair, so it looks a bit strange. The Sidekick Mask accessory is close enough to Victor's mask, if you want to go all out.
It wouldn't narratively work because it's a cop-out. It completely defeats the purpose of tackling the weight of sacrifice vs self-sacrifice, and if you have an answer that's an easy way out then it nullifies any emotional or thematic impact of the other choices.
It's like when people ask why the eagles didn't just fly the ring to mordor. Ignoring the fact that Tolkien later said in a letter that asked him that that he simply hadn't thought of the solution (and because he said they would've just said no), it means the story would have been too short and none of the interesting events would have happened.
>The suicide is simply for the drama and because Japan.
>This fictional story is written dramatically just for the sake of being dramatic.
The entire story is emotionally manipulative, and I don't mean that from the "hurr forced drama" sense. I mean the story is specifically made to try to make you want to save Elle instead of saving the universe, and why? Because the average player doesn't want to see a little girl die, especially one that the player tended to become more attached to over the course of the game than the characters do, and thus will make the player consider a choice that they really shouldn't.
Well there are game genres like utsuge for a reason.
I don't see how it's a worse crutch than the fact that you're making a genie wish with god because of some meaningless game and also you're on a moon made out of clocks while this is happening and there's some kind of giant purple baby that you're fighting on.
Wait, hold up. You actually can save her?
I selected every time "I'm going to save you". I denied removing the fractured universes every time they asked. Then Elle said "fuck it, you don't ge to choose" and she made the wish for me and I got the Normal ending. What did I do wrong?
In-game you can unlock everyone's Xillia 1 costumes and some alternate colour sets of both 1 and 2. Ludger has a load of unlockable outfits, Milla and Alvin have poker outfits, there are shit-off outfits for a few people.
The swimwear is DLC.
This is what ticks me off most about the "true" ending.
You're throwing away what Julius gave you, which is silly, because Elle is actually going to exist in the future no matter what choice you make.
After all the fucking up you've done, the millions of lives you've ended in the alternate dimensions, and finally taking your brother's life, you're not going to take charge of your own life and live to continue to see Spirius' goal through? As President, Ludger can aid Jude's research with funding and manpower. He can help make a better, more peaceful world by using his political influence. He can shape the future of the world.
Seriously, what the actual fuck.
That said, the normal ending was a bit weird with Ludger being thrilled to meet a woman he's never met before simply because he knows she'll give birth to Elle. I would have liked that scene a lot more if he had just met her offhand and not realized they were going to marry.
>After all the fucking up you've done, the millions of lives you've ended in the alternate dimensions, and finally taking your brother's life, you're not going to take charge of your own life and live to continue to see Spirius' goal through
Honestly, I don't think I would be able to live with myself after knowing everything I had done. Speaking completely truthfully here, the guilt of it all probably would've made me kill myself at some point.
I'm not the dude that doesn't care about Elle.
I like Elle.
I simply realize that there's much more purpose in Ludger living than here is dying. Again: Ludger can actively help determine the political climate of Elympios. Spirius is the most powerful and influential organization on the planet. And he's President.
That bit is weird, yes, but he always struck me as a little emotionally fucked up, so.
And yes, they try to force you into the wrong choice because muh loli daughter, but it's worse for everyone. Abandon the little girl twice and leave her with the people happy to kill her family off etc.
Rowen has the political situation covered.
Elle is young and has her whole life ahead of her whereas Ludger has almost nothing left to live for at that point. It doesn't make sense to kill her.
>Ludger has almost nothing left to live for at that point
Except, you know, a job, friends, a future wife, and child? And any hundreds of possible descendants?
Rowen only has one side of the political situation covered. If you paid attention, especially during the bonus episode, Rieze Maxia is at an extreme bargaining disadvantage and Rowen and Gaius have resorted to making very powerful weapons to even stand for any equality. Even Marcia is said to be a minority leader.
Ludger on the Elympios side changes all of that.
His trial is arbitrary fucking with people's lives and serves no legitimate purpose. Also both sacrifices have the same symbolic meaning except one is an abdication of responsibility and removal of someone else's agency.
It's bullshit. You're telling me that in thousands of years and 999,999 creations of divergance catalysts, there wasn't ONE instance before Ludger where a Kresnik used the Chromatus to willingly take their own life for the sake of saving another, proving that humanity can use the gift for a completely selfless reason. That it somehow never happened before that?
It doesn't matter if a fractured dimension Kresnik does something like that I don't think, it only counts if it's in the prime dimension, just like everything else in the game.
Excellent, and a very amusing point.
The Character Episodes usually mesh well with the message of the main plot, but Gaius is clearly in conflict with what Bamco "wants" us to think. And yet Gaius was clearly correct.
Everyone cries sometimes anon.
Even pic related
She's the Key, but she's not the one using the power, so it doesn't count. Plus she's not from the prime dimension anyway.
Yeah it's bullshit, but that's how the narrative is built.
Wasn't the premise of the game basically shown as "would you give up the world for one person?" when the game was announced?
It kinda wants you to have to make that decision, not have it all be one way or another.
It's not wrong to cry when the whole point of the scene is to make you sad.
>Wasn't the premise of the game basically shown as "would you give up the world for one person?"
You may have to do the quests for Mint and Rutee first. I'm not sure myself. The started showing up in the Arena after clearing the EX Dungeon for me. Just pick Elite Party again and see what happens. They don't appear until the end of it.
>Wasn't the premise of the game basically shown as "would you give up the world for one person?" when the game was announced?
The premise is fine, in fact, as shown in this thread, they've done a decent job with it. The primary issue is that Bamco has taken a very clear stance on which they feel is "right," despite evidence, and even mixed signals in-game, otherwise, such as
She's obviously valid enough to count as a catalyst. The prime distinction doesn't work unless you also accept that the trial is totally illegitimate and to be broken if at all possible.
Doing what Origin secretly wants is heaping stupidity on stupidity.
They ask but also think there's a correct answer, and it's the dumb one.
I think the fact that there is a choice and multiple endings gives a little bit of freedom to determine your own thoughts about the correct choice.
Obviously they had their own thoughts when making it though. The important part is that we can have this kind of discussion.
Yes, they slipped up by making one ending allegedly true when others also work, but it's good that the decision is more than just a choice of colors. Everyone can be happyish with their preferred end. Or go for the cameo solution.
No it fucking doesn't. The ending is the conclusion of what Kyle believed in all his life, that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Alternatively
>You can't give up hope just because it's hopeless. You gotta hope even more and cover your ears and go "blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah!"
If the game actually ended before that it would be the most depressing ending the series ever got. No one would want that, especially after everything they already went through in the game.
Marcia's and Elize's are beyond obnoxious, but they're still hilarious.
The ringtones were pretty clever in general.
Also, pay attention to their phones' wallpapers. Ludger's is Rollo.
>Marcia's and Elize's are beyond obnoxious, but they're still hilarious.
True, but Elize is what, 11?
She's at the age where she thinks hearing her superpal's voice when the phone rings is cool.
Elize is 13. She's actually much closer in age to Jude (16) than Milla is.
Why? Why do they do this?
Alisha and Arisha are real names so I don't mind much.
Blame the localization team for Kor.
The name Sorey on the other hand came from japan.
At least it's not fucking Slay.
I just got the good Milla back. I beat Rideaux on my first try but it was fucking frustrating, I just have no idea how to effectively combo in the game, so enemies tend to just smack me in the face halfway through doing what I'm doing.
Elle will never be born as a product of their affection.
But that would cause all kinds of fuckups with the localisation when they come to translate all the Jappers calling him Sor-chan or something. How do you shorten a one-syllable name?
Why is the entire male cast in this game so goddamn sexy?
Even Bisley and Chronos if you're into those type.
The male cast is basically female fanservice.
I suppose Rideaux is really the only ugly male, but he might appeal to some, but he's really the only outright not-hot male. That and Jiao.
Ludger would make a good husbando. And to answer your question, this series has always pandered to fujoshits.
It kind of feels like they should have skipped ahead more than one year. I mean, it's nice to see that Leia and Jude got big-shot jobs and everything, but they're still like 15/16 years old
Indeed, Omega is a God.
If I don't roll over affinity on NG+, do I lose all the affinity skill tomes/mystic arte tomes even if I get the "roll over all tomes" bonus? I maxed all affinity already so I don't really need to roll it over unless it's required.
>he doesn't use Ludger's formal hair style!
>he doesn't use Ludger's
What's your excuse, faggot?
Julius is his illegitimate son who has been using Ludger's pocketwatch the entire time and leeching Ludger's power. He originally stole Ludger away from Bisley in an attempt to fuck Bisley over.
Eventually he began to care for him in a true way.
All from the official guidebook in Japan.
Translations where? And God, I love the relationship between Ludger and Julius.
Maxwell named Milla after his waifu
I'm not sure how I feel about that.
I guess him and celcius just prove that the secret to Human/Spirit relations is that they just need to fuck each other.
>Alt Milla became more confident in the prime dimension because Ludger was giving her the D
It all makes sense now.
>Vera seems so cold and distant
>You find out from Nova that she's actually so nervous around guys that she's just quiet during dates
>Nova then has to go drinking with her to make her feel better about getting dumped
Ahh, an ally. Fuck the tsun sympathizers.
Anyways, to make proper combos you have to abuse moves that gain the "Increase stagger" upgrade.
Falling Snow, Energy Shackles, and Lunar Reflection are some of the ones for Dual Swords.
You can insert another arte in between 2 of these moves but make sure you follow it up. Also, try to plan ahead to make good use of the weakness system.
Haven't really been paying attention to what arte upgrades do so I'll keep a closer watch - My preference is for the hammer, though as I seem to be able to get the longest strings, the most armor breaks and the best damage from it. Weaknesses could use more attention too, I've been lazy
Thanks for the tips
Alt Milla consistently comes off as more dere than tsun around Elle and Ludger.
Which makes sense, since Elle and Ludger are the only ones who give her the time of day as a unique person, when everyone else just wants Milla M back or sees her as a bad replacement.
Basically, the party is full of assholes.
I don't get why they don't just beat the shit out of Origin until he does what they want. It worked in the first game and works again in the hidden ending. The returning cast got lazy.
realizes Ludger is his son and makes him heir to the company he built up as a reward for his hard work
>Bisley is tired as fuck of Chronos' and Origin's bullshit and just wants to be left alone in peace
>Bisley actively makes amends and attempts for a peaceful transition and relationship with Rieze Maxia.
>for some reason he is hated by the party
Bisley did nothing wrong.
It won't be a loop since the fractured dimensions were part of Origin's trial and since they passed when Elle becomes the finally catalyst, when the real Elle is born she and Ludger are free to live normal lives
That true ending was some anime bullshit though.
>In the good ending Ludger can have his cake and eat it too
Why would Elle grow up to be exactly the same person Ludger knew when she isn't being raised by the person who went through everything Victor did
Why would you want her to have the same personality derived from all that trauma? The true reward for her is not being forced to remember. For Ludger it's the opposite. This is why the 'true' end is stupid. They didn't understand their own story or chose to just let cultural tropes override sense.
And she has to be exactly the same as the other Elle because?
You think if she likes Tomatoes Ludger is gonna be like "Fuck this!" and throw the baby away?
Each alternate character was different in a minor way but ultimately the same, you see that in the fractured dimensions.
Alt Millia was more childish, but she was still Millia
>The true reward for her is not being forced to remember.
I agree with this. Elle's suffered enough. It's the adult's responsibility to shoulder the burden, not pass it on to the child, which Ludger effectively does in the "true" ending.
>You think if she likes Tomatoes Ludger is gonna be like "Fuck this!" and throw the baby away?
I laughed at that harder than I should've.
Also I disagree about Alt Milla. She was her own character in a lot of ways.
That's kinda exactly why I hate the true ending
>dad dies >welp, time to let her go through that again!
Alt Millia reminds me a lot of Milla at the start of Xillia 1. The way I see it Alt Millia would of been Millia if she never met Jude and hunted down Exodus by herself.
It may be sad, but it's pretty much genetically coded in parents to risk themselves to protect their children from harm. The ones that aren't shitty deadbeat parents anyway. The "she'll be reborn later anyway" is a legitimate argument, but it's hard to fight emotions when it comes to things like this.
Especially right after she comes to terms with
Ludger being her dad in the first place. She does, after all, just about say "Ludger's my daddy!" before she's cut off.
Poor thing. She deserves a fresh start without the pain inflicted on her.
I love Tales threads. All this discussion is great.
Why did you take Alt Milla away from me game? She could have been a mother to Elle!
Yes. Ludger kills himself and then leaves it up to the ToX gang, except for Muzet and Millia who fuck off once they realize if they stayed they'd have to take care of a shitty kid, to raise her.
Best part of the true ending was
Not him, but the Xillia 1 cast is a huge bunch of assholes if you don't agree with them.
I don't think Elle would ever be entirely comfortable with them due to how Alt Milla was basically mourned for 1 scene by everyone but her and Ludger.
>it could have been Alt Milla
>it could have been Driselle
>it's instead just OC donut steel from the manga
>Driselle is the same age as Ludger
>She has the same hair color as Elle
>There's a skit where the other characters ask you if you think Driselle is cute and offer to set you up with her
>She's not Elle's mother
Wasted opportunity of the century
Well of course it's what there's good at.
I admit I liked seeing slightly older Elle but hey.
Yeah I can't argue with that they're all dicks to alt Milla for pretty much no reason other then "She's not OUR Milla so fuck her!"
Not to mention the end scene where he sees Lara is incredibly lazy. Ludger just hears the name Lara Mel Marta, a business associate, runs up to his office and realizes "This is the woman who will become Elle's mother!" and starts crying. He doesn't even know the woman.
I don't even know what the fuck.
Alt Milla or Driselle plz.
>she's older but all good food turns to ash in her mouth
I have to admit, I kinda laughed when that single tear rolled down his cheek.
I just imagine her after that meeting being like "What the fuck was that about? I hope I never have another meeting with that weirdo."
Hell, it could even more realistically have been Elize in 5 or 6 years. She has an incredibly obvious crush on Ludger, confirmed by the titles.
Even Elize with her empathy would have been a better option than what Ludger ended up with.
Wouldn't have matched up. Elle is 8, she came from a time only 10 years from the prime dimension. Unless you're implying Ludger blew a load in 15 year old Elize when he was 22
Please tell me you're implying that
15 is legal is Japan though.
They would just have to change her age outside of there, which is done a lot with younger girls who are implied to either have had sex or are sexualized in series that are ported.
I wasn't implying that, but I can certainly get behind it.
>L-Ludger-san, you've been such a good friend, supporting me when I needed it most
>I know you've been sad lately
>So I, um, wanted to return the favor
I think Doujinmakers all ship AltMilla and Ludger, so never, unfortunately.
>Elize gets knocked up.
>Ludger doesn't want anyone finding out.
>builds a house at Lake Epsilla and doesn't let Elize leave the house.
>there are complications during the birthing and Elize dies in childbirth.
>rest of the party find out what happened.
>they're pissed and try to lynch Ludger.
>Ludger kills them in self defense and throws their bodies in the lake.
>there is at least one fractured dimension where this has happened.
Thanks /v/, I'll never look at another Elize and Ludger scene the same way again.
I think you turned me into one of those OTP faggots.
>going throw Epsila Ruins on NG+
>examine the glowing pillars in the red rooms.
>they play music from old Tales games.
>tfw I was actually looking forward to how he shouts it out in english
>instead, what we get is a really gay shout(?) with an equally just as gay sounding finishing move
ETERNAL WALTZ?? Seriously? Not saying the japanese name is any better if it was localized properly but damn that did not sound good at all...
If alt.millia is kill then who would make soup for ellie?
Should have put it not all scrunched together
Shinten Rekkuu Zankou Senpuu
Messai Shinbatsu Kassatsugeki
Light of Cyclonic Butchery)
It was Loni's move in ToD2, then Malik got it,
LET'S FINISH THIS!
O BRILLIANT BLADE OF COLDEST STEEL
REND THE INFINITE DARKNESS
AND CRUSH MY ENEMIES TO NOTHING!
SAVAGE WOLF FURY!
It's actually kinda lame, but I like the thing Yuri says for it.
The true end is better Ludger was able to save Elle at only the low low cost of his own life, and she even seemed to turn out fine.
By the way did Rideaux have a secret plan I never found out about? He acted like he did, I even thought at one point he would be the final boss
I disagree, for reasons sated earlier in the thread. Ludger living would have had a much greater positive impact on the political environment and future of Elympios and Rieze Maxia.
>you will never have a hot daddy who is yandere for you
>just got to that alternate dimension about Jude with a gay relationship with Aska
I was impressed they had that sequence and just let the comedy come from the dialogue and acting instead of the stock overreactions and defensiveness that usually accompanies that kind of surprise.
>mfw that part
>mfw Aska's voice
>mfw just about everything from that scene
