No GTA/S.W.A.T/L.A. Noir type Dredd game
that was a good thing.
either half-ass a comedy, or make a decent action film.
ease them in, if the sequel gets made little by little the rest of the remaining cities of America will be explored.
The satire was there, it was just a lot more subtle and low-key.
The foot court at the beginning, for example. You've got this guy driving a street cleaner mopping up blood and body parts, and the tannoy system is saying "The food court will be open for service in ten minutes".
Or the guy taking snapshots on his phone after the gangsters chuck those guys from the top floor.
I know. And they were shopping it around as a TV show.
The gritty, low budget look worked for the movie, but I don't trust TV to do it justice. And it would have to be on a premium channel.
I wish I had the ability to shit out women.
Then again, I don't like brown girls.
There can be some pretty zany art styles in the megazine which contains a lot of one offs and goofs that are meant to be non canonical to the running 2000ad serial
>that feel when Dredd has a heart deep down embedded behind that cold hard slab of pure justice
Fuck yes the soundtrack was awesome
of the snes version only of course
I like seeing his soft side, I also like seeing him portrayed as a scary and oppressive dick, this is the closest example I have of that.
Dredd started off as really cold-hearted, by-the-book, kind of guy -- often compared to machines for his lack of empathy. Later on down the road they started throwing him curveballs, making him question the system he was working for.
In the end, he acknowledges the needed existence of the justice system, no matter how corrupt or harsh they may be, it's still a better alternative to total anarchy.
>Piss off back to your chinese cartoons, wanker.
>let me guess you like anime right?
>alright, edgy. no need to get your testes in a twist.
> Dredd dump
I fucking love you, man.
I wish there were more concise collections of Dredd around. I know a lot of the newer stuff has been collected into US style trade paperbacks but the older stories are buried in the gigantic case files.
Mega City One is basically Detroit on steroids, and after reading the comics I can say that it appears to be mostly the same, but with...er, faster, law enforcement.
Then again, the reason why the judges don't wipe out crime entirely is because the city is so fucking huge. If you plop judges in present day Detroit then yeah, bye bye crime.
And muh freedoms
thats not all anon, he gets pregnant with his own sperm after he body-swaps and has a daughter.
Dredd is solid gold, it's a real shame the franchise has been so violated 99% of the time when it comes to translating it to other media
Not enough image space to post the sequels, so for those interested...

>There will never ever be a game even close to S.W.A.T 4
Seriously this shit was a masterpiece.
Hmm, I was reading the post count instead of the file count, but as I already posted the rars any interested parties might as well use those.
Here's a funny one-shot to sign me out.
gonna start doing this to random pictures in the thread cause bored
Just a sec, I've got the perfect image for that, just 2 more pages.
Here you go. That's a pretty good list. I enjoyed buying case files 1 and reading cover to cover and then buying the next one rince lather repeat until it got to the point where I now have a stack of 19 volumes and most everything missed out in the case files (like America and Batman vs Dredd which, like >>263145423 I kind of hated because I'm not a big capeshit fan, funny how in Dreddverse it's canon though).
Should have got Dredd vs Alien vs Predator today but now Amazon estimates delivery at 25th :(
/co/ are scrubs, didn't even recommend the audio-dramas, you know like everyone sfavourite chinese cartoons, but Dredd and actually really good.
the REMO audio-dramas are also grand, really hight quality productions.
has john hurt raving and ranting as a mad man, they has everything
Is it true that Scotland in the Dredd universe is Dredd's usual holiday destination? Did it not get wrecked like everywhere else?
Some guy I know said this to me but I suspect he was talking bs
Yeah, I appreciate you doing this thing for others but it was uncalled for and no one really wanted it, just learn from that though.
Did something happen to /co/ anyway? I've been there once and everything just seemed off, it's like totally different from the rest of 4chan.
Dumpfag here, the dumping has ceased. Sorry citizen.
I'm glad I did it that way and enjoyed the heck out of following it especially as the story develops in real time so a years worth of 2000ad issues take place across a year of Mega City 1 and there's frequently catastrophic events that create permanent changes to the cityscape, like when the wall was built which is now an iconic part of the cityscape.
Some people find some of the earlier Dredd's too 'cheesy' to enjoy, never had that problem myself.
>Some people find some of the earlier Dredd's too 'cheesy' to enjoy, never had that problem myself.
Same here, I love it, although Walter can be a bit much, but even then it has a good blend of silly and seriousness
nazi mod sprees, tumblr crossposters, and general faggotry ensure that normal 4chan posters can only tolerate so much /co/ before they stop browsing for awhile, letting the faggots run free for the majority of a thread
I dunno, I fully embrace it. Walter is one of my favourite characters. The trick is to picture him speaking like this dude from life of Brian https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2K8_jgiNqUc but, y'know, more wimpy in tone.
Oh, and pic is my Dredd collection (since pic I have vol 18+19 with the hardcover collection od Dredd vs Alien vs Predator in the mail)
Not to familiar with it myself honestly, I'm only in year 4 right now of the Dredd universe, and some of the modern ones I've read havent mentioned it
Don't get me wrong I like Walter to, its just sometimes I want him to shut up.
Oh, and this issue 13 Mar '93 issue with a cool cover I got framed so Dredd can watch over me while I dream of obeying the law.
Nah, that's Ireland. Scotland is Cal-Hab, a nuclear waste dump inhabited by crazed drunks and large parts of which may currently be shrouded under a giant psychic storm because... well, stuff happened, it wasn't a great story.
Ireland is Murphyville, a celtic-flavour theme park that was largely fleshed out by Garth Ennis. Its inhabitants have to be all potato this, begorrah that, and dissidents who want a return to proper Irish values occasionally do Terrorist attacks (but are careful not to touch the guinness factories). Pictured is Judge Joyce. Note the Murphyville Judge symbol on his green uniform.
What's left of England is now Brit Cit and irradiated, mutant and magical beast haunted wastelands. At the top it is run by doddering, corrupt, insane and out of touch aristocrats, bent Judges and criminals, while towards the bottom front line inspectors and Judges do their best to help their citizens with politeness, weary cynicism and a tremendous capacity for casual violence. Unlike Mega City One, everyone is assigned by the state. You do not get a choice what job, nor do you want to turn it down.
people in power already benefits from people not voting as they already have their bought off legions of voters, so they get even more dosh from people refusing, fucking great.
c'mon pal, don't be naive.
that money goes to drugs and guns and bribes
Dredd is pretty shit I guess pigs like him because it makes them feel special
>Telltale will make a Dredd game just because they make comic book games
>people in power already benefits from people not voting as they already have their bought off legions of voters, so they get even more dosh from people refusing, fucking great.
Fucking hell anon it was just a suggestion i'm sorry i've ruined the hypothetical country you lord over.
But how much would a government have to spent on a person to make it worth while, specially when they tax the money back?
Thuggery and government goes hand in hand.
they strangle you for kali and steal your shit
no wonder they keep pushing that the word thug is racist its origin describes the current race relations perfectly
bribe all world religious leaders to all come out and speak in unison that if they don't vote, bad hoodoo stuff will happen.
proceed to make the rest of the world more religious, now you have increased the voting participation significantly
I didn't think it was racist but police services are steered away from using generalisations like yob or chav (Britbong here) because it means you're making assumptions about someone before you have your facts, plus there's PR, someshit like that.
Well Britainland is a very special case though. At least it feels like you have to be very cautious there to not offend somebody and get dragged to court for racism or whatever
It sounds like the perp had some sort of attachment on his gun that made it be able to accurately shoot the guy through the smoke... of course from what we know it could be he was saying that to kill his partner and cover his ass
yeah but yob or chav, or even thug, don't really involve race, in fact chavs are pretty fucking white.
The funny thing is because we can't say these generalisations "Male black youth" is used mostly, hilarious because it's not racist if it's true! Still annoys people.
it's actually a gam about a megacity one taxidermist, based on that one short story that ended with him evading the law.
filled with mini games where you have to tackle the weird requests and orders.
Holy fucking shit. I've never been a big fan of any comics. I mostly just read the wiki psychotically. But I'm pretty fucking interested in Dredd. Thanks, anon. That mindfuckery.
8/10, then shit when i realized they cancelled the trilogy.
Also i don't know much about the universe since i don't read the comics, but isn't "Chopper" a character?
I ask it because in a scene you can see a Chopper graffiti.
