ITT your favorite vidya weapons, be they melee or ranged
Anyone not posting a shotgun, revolver, or rocket launcher in this thread is a pleb.
What if the weapons i like have to be mounted on a starship?
This was the only weapon I needed once I added the red dot laser.
Of course I added the silencer, but when I combined it with the laser, it made the game easy mode. With the red dot laser, you can sniper across the map.
>Snipe across the map
>Character come to investigate body
>Snipe that one cross the map
>Character come to investigate body
>Snipe that one cross the map
>soon have a pile of bodies
even if you don't get a pile of bodies, the silencer and red dot made the game really easy.
>But /v/ only approves non lethal runs anon
That got old and boring. I switched to the silent red dot pistol when I just wanted to hurry up and finish the game.
>two variations of the plasma cutter, one is for slicing through stone (mining) and one is for incredibly accurate surgical cuts
>picked up and ghettorigged to work on reanimated human flesh and bone
god i love that game upgrading those guns made you feel so tacticool
Too bad the only games that have it are like... fucking cowadoody blops and delta force.
And the only actually fun game that has it, Fallout 2.
> it's either a beastly machine to rip you a new one
> or a bloody pinpoint accurate lasergun
>the detail in the animations
>the constant stream of beautiful orange
>them delicious plasma splats
>the way the firing rate slows down for a second when it overheats
Gun is far too underrated, crazy-ass 3 round bursts with no recoil until after the last shots leaves the barrel.
I'd have hoped that Blops having it would have made it more popular.
The fact that you can easily find this weapon laying around in the Freedom camp. They didn't put any effort into hiding cool items/weapons in that game. There's a lot of exploring but places that you actually have to try to find ends up being just nothing.
> looking balling
Anvil on a stick for the president!
>game calls it a .357 magnum
>Gun texture says it's a .44 magnum
>Gordon loads spent casings into the gun
>Also loads bullets in with no speedloader, bullets magically float together
Dammit Value, get your shit straight
They are a thing in real life though.
EYE: divine cybermancy has the best guns in vidya, except for assault rifles, they are awful for some reason
>ctrl + f flak cannon
Faggots, all of you.
Syphon Filter 1 was the shit!
Tasing people off of roofs was the best.I loved how the aiming reticule was auto leveled, so with some practice, you could literally run through an area popping headshots all day. GOTYAY
It ain't the most powerful thing out there but it's always been my favourite. A nice, simple gun that would never ever let you down.
You can never shoot too fast.
Pic related is 9k RPS, and is easily capable of 10k.
It can split a fucking barge in less than 30 seconds.
It's a piece of shit held together by tape and string but as soon as I get it I know I'll never need another gun
Do mods for games count? Or is this strictly vanilla?
Silent pistol so so efficient too compared to other weapons.
Good rate of fire with no recoil/wasted ammo unlike the AR.
Upgrading the damage makes it a 1 shot kill to the head. 2 at most for heavy enemies.
Wait, it's Gyrm? I've been calling them Grym all this time and no one's ever corrected me.
NV's was in .308
F3 was in .32
That being said there was way more ammo to pilfer off of the dead bodies of supermuntants in F3.
what's wrong with putting scopes on a MG?
man I fucking love crossbows
Thid gun always stuck me fansy, its like a little battle buddy!
it's just so satisfying getting a kill with it
I always love a good fps that lets me use
my fists. No kicking or any of fancy shit, just good old fashion punching everything to death.
It was really bloody fast and designed to penetrate shit out of faggots, so yes.
> browning m2
Nigga, it's not an LMG.
I see your point, but still, putting stationary Browning as an example of good application of scope on a machinegun is not really smart
eh, i'd personally have to go for the good old anti-material rifle. mostly since you can put mods on it like suppressor (was a pretty stealth based character in my last playthough)
> mfw explosive ammo for this shit
It has it's own theme song.
All your other arguments could not be more invalid.
No such fucking thing.
Gotta go fast or gotta go dead.
In fact, if the sounds of your shots aren't blurred into a single loud, continuous "BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRT," then you're not fast enough.
>turns into sentry
>good reload and animations
I like to pick them off at a distance.
Dark Souls long sword.
It's not big or flashy and it doesn't explode stuff, but it got me through NG, and I still love it.
>nonlethalfags near me
The game gives you so many weapons, why not just use them?
first off, something about it just doesn't look right, it seems really small compared to fallout 1 and 2
second, that firing sound is fucking nothing compared to fallout 1 and 2, which had one of the most satisfying firing sounds of all time
DaS 2 has a couple of hammers and lot's of bullshit labeled hammers...
It makes me sad because I wanted proper war hammers, not some malformed bullshit with teeth on it... a fucking dragon tooth...
...or a godman church bell on a stick.
I always found the Anti Materiel rifles underwhelming after using the Gobi Campaign rifle for ages
The ammo was so much more common and being able to shoot 4 shots in the time it took the Anti Materiel to shoot 1 was too much to ever give up.
I also abused the shit out of silenced weapons in camp Hope, killed all the rangers in the guard towers for 2000+ 308 rounds
It was shonky, it was poorly executed, it was awkward as hell.
And it was fucking awesome.
Fuck, I love RAD.
Not my favorite, but since this thread is gun oriented. As shit as the game was, this gun felt fucking great.
yeah i know a meh gun from a meh game but i just love the design...its soo silly stylish that i really like this one
Hell yeah, even as a soldier it was a weapon not to be fucked with.
Pic very related. Best greatsword coming through.
I was so happy 2142 kept actual projectile-based weaponry and didn't go for lasers or some shit
The Rebellion has its own style, a certain raw elegance to it.
Its design is unique enough to the point where it's instantly recognizable, yet not so much that it feels overdesigned. The meaty, notched blade gives it a sense of weight, and it can spook your foes by looking like a skeleton.
In-game, it's easily the most reliable weapon, with speed, range, and power, plus a nice repertoire of attacks. I don't think I've ever not had this equipped during DMC.
I really like this sword, guise.
It's dumb and makes no sense but it's still really neat to me
>During the development of Fallout 2, the Bozar was supposed to be a sniper rifle rather than an automatic heavy support weapon with a scope, but a mistake was committed during the attribution of the stats and they were kept like that, making the Bozar an atypical weapon.
Portable exorcising device, neat.
Fatal Frame was so fucking rad on top of being scary as fuck.
>ever not doing a nonlethal run
>no results found for R.Y.N.O.
Do I have to rip you faggots a new one?
I was always impressed with the vector cannon. Shit might as well be for cutscenes only tho, since you use it and a grand total of three parts of the game, and never in combat. One of the three was for a optional secret.
This baby. So satisfying in mp
I see no one posted best sword yet.
oh, and the m1911 in bad company 2. it was the most op weapon ever, but I fucking loved it.
>assault rifles awful
I thought the same until I set them to single shot. Then I fell in love forever.
Chews up ammo like a motherfucker though.
