>Japanese game gets brought over
>The dub completely assassinates it
Every time. Pic related, one of the worst offenders.
Every Dragon Ball Z game with voice acting and no dual audio was unplayable. Thankfully in recent years they've been adding Jap audio so suffering through that shitfest of a dub isn't mandatory anymore and it's possible to listen to it the way it was meant to be heard.
Son-Goku, that's a festive party hat, not a spirit bomb!
i know /v/ is the only place to discuss dbz but this is hardly video games, you just wanted to stir up an age old shit fest and you know it
people will defend this and even say its superior
That was actually my first time hearing Jap Goku
>people defend this
I fucking hate /a/. /m/ is way better. To be honest I don't mind subs at all. I was only saying checkem because I was typing dubs a lot and I miss the time when we could self moderate with them even though they were spammy unfunny bullshit. S-sorry.
>fantastic plot twists and fuck you surprises
>solid gameplay with more shit revealed throughout the early hours
>strategy and buffing/debuffing matters
>HARD AS FUCK bosses
>ONE OF THE WORST VIDEOGAME DUBS EVER
Good thing there's an Undub/Japdub ISO lingering around for this game, people should really do this more.
this is something I can't understand.
American cartoon shows have good voice actors
American dubs are one of the worst around the world.
In the funimation dub of DBZ does anybody notice how the characters voices change a lot from season to season? Piccolo especially sounds completely different from the Saiyan to Freiza sagas
because the script doesn't translate so well from Japanese to English, resulting in cheesy lines.
English voice actor trying to imitate the tone of a Japanese voice actor also has bad results.
For example saying "i will KILL you" doesn't so good.
>gee, I wonder what the Japanese VOs sound like
>goku is literally an old woman
Call me a gaijin but I just don't get it.
>Pick up One Piece Pirate Warriors 2
>Japanese only audio
Japs have this weird thing where if you voice a character at all, you voice them for life, even though the VA's voice was only originally appropriate for the 11 year old Goku and not the 20+ year old Goku.
>see spanish dubbed version of the simpsons
>expecting a heavenly chorus of voices saying THEEE SIMPSOOOONS
>instead it's just a bored sounding mexican guy who says "los simpsons" in a normal voice
that shit was hilarious
>tfw I actually associate dbz with the abridged series dub now
That freeza fight was better than the real thing in any version.
Daily reminder that this is a PC game.
in japan a character's tone of voice reflects the personality more than the physical appearance
goku's a very simplistic, naive character and his personality with a "man" voice would be bizarre and awkward, to japanese
pic related probably the worst offender i have ever come across
I agree that the original audio (regardless of language) is usually best but there are many times when the dubs can be good or even better.
This. This guy... This fucking guy... Motherfucker could be talking about playing with kittens with a feather duster, and still make it sound badass...
I prefer it. Greatly prefer it, but 'better' is a subjective term. You liking the falconer/funimation version is fine. It doesn't make what I love cease to exist. I think some of it has to be when you were first exposed to Dragonball.
The only reason I watch the show is for the acting, and now I just play the games, because the story telling is more on par with the manga, and the character actually look like Toriyama drew them. No forty-four episode screaming matches. The manga in Japanese is the only way. I still hear Masako Nozawa's voice while reading Goku. There is something else that every English iteration of the series has missed. Goku and Chichi have a very unique country accent. The equivalent to Larry the Cable guy. Let that sink in.
Vegata and Sakuragi have the same voice actor
Just starting playing Persona 4 Arena U, and they only have japanese voices during the battles. Now I have to listen to shitty american screetching words and awkwardly saying "senpai"
At least with the japanese voices I can't tell if they are bad actors. And generally most aren't annoying.
>Play Pirate Warriors, Pirate Warriors 2 and Unlimited World Red
>Jap Audio only on all 3
I swear, if I had to listen to the dubbed voices and play those games, I would not have put near as much time into them as I have.
As much as a cunt he is, I fucking love Blackbeard
In general the west expects different things from what japan expects. Just look at metal wolf chaos. Imagine all the voice acting that we think of as "terrible" being said in japanese. RRRRIIIIIIIICCCHHHAAARRRD sounds retarded to us, but you could easily imagine someone going SEEEEENNNNPPPAAAAAAIII in the exact same tone.
Did you actually listen to that and come to the conclusion that jap cell was better than earcandy english cell? And what the fuck was with that shitty jap pop playing during Gohan's transformation?
>the english dub turns out to be better than the jap dub
name the game
>not liking based Bruce Faulconer's God's gift to mankind OST
>being so pleb you're slithering underneth the crust of earth as a maggot
Don't even live anymore. If you don't think dub OST is the tightest shit than please. In all that is good in the world. End it.
I think one problem American dubs really suffer from is just a lack of VAs, or at least a lack of ones being used. You generally hear the same 5 VAs in just about every show. They're like the go to talent, but it leads to less variety.
Akio Outsuka is fucking amazing. American's were fucking cheated with "Metal Gear 4: Gun's of the Patriots". Chikao Outsuka, Akio's dad played Big Boss.
They are probably the two most manly sounding men in the world.
>English VAs using Japanese Honorifics
I'm not even a weeb, but after a while it gets old. I know I'm playing a Japanese game, taking place in a Japanese High School, with Japanese students, I get it.
How lucky of you. Gundam 1 and 2 had Dubbed voices only.
At first it was pain in my hears, then learned to stand it. But when I hear the jap voices again in other games I go "man, I missed this voice"
I can't decide whether
>HRRN, UHHN, NRRH, RGHN
>KKHHHH, KE, KHHH, KKKKKKKH
is more annoying.
I know Japanese for work, and I've only ever fucked your mother and still do nightly, but still count myself as a virgin, because of the shame in admitting that I stuck my dick in that pig.
>Bruce Faulconer's OST of literally the same type of song, played constantly with no variety nor silence whatsoever.
Kill yourself nostalgiafag.
My friend felt the same with with Dynasty Warriors 6 or 7, he ended up getting the patch to have all the Japanese voice actors rather than the Dubbed voices.
I actually played a bit of it when I was over at his house one time and was quite surprised to learn Xiahou Dun's voice actor is the same as Zoro's.
>preferring to listen to a foreign language instead of the one you were raised with
I was fine with the dubbed voices for Dynasty Warriors, my friend was a bit weird about it though. He does know the Three Kingdom's is not Japanese but for some reason he's obsessed with the Jap voice actors for it.
>There are plenty of good American dubs.
That's literally all of the good dubs. Note, a good dub isn't good just because the nip version is worse, it just means both are shit.
Which applies to most shonenshit
I fucking love we can get Japanese voice acting for the Dynasty Warriors games.
It seriously allowed me to finish a fucking game, because the english voice acting was SO BAD that made the games unplayable.
My first touch to Warriors series was Dynasty Warriors 3 undub. Then I tried to play the later ones and jesus the english voices seriously kill the game.
Bless Koei for free DLC patches of non dub shit.
I love DBZ threads, so I figure I could ask some questions here.
1.) A friend of mine once told be about a review of one of the DBZ games, which I believe was on the Wii. The distinctive things about this review is that it was apparently made by Adam Sessler, and the review consisted of a few homoerotic jabs. Another thing that stood out is when Sessler gave his verdict, he spliced in Cell saying "Have you completely lost your mind?" between "3" and "out of 5". Anyone know the review?
2.) I remember seeing an image of Vegeta where he was giving a coy expression, which could be interpreted as a sarcastic "Preposterous, who would do such a thing?" His head was tilted and he was facing forward, but his eyes were facing in the opposite direction his head was tilted in.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Probably not the thread for it, but fuck it.
This guy here... I set the game to English vocals, because that's just how I roll. Everytime one of his lines comes up... PIECE OF SHIT! PIECE OF SHIT! PIECE OF SHIT!
I swear to fuck... If I had to hear him say that phrase one more time... I was gonna rip that Dorito he has sitting on his head off, shove it up his ass, and proceed to kick further into his body until Cheeto dust came flying out of his nose.
>Years later and the sound track is centuries ahead of jap trash
The dub OST is only good listened on it's own, otherwise it's terribly edited in the show outside of some rare moments.
>Starting a dub vs sub war with anime casuals on /v/.
What are you doing OP? Your just going to anger both the nostalgia toonami fags and the weebs.
I'm a musician and Bruce Falconer is fucking horrible. Or at least what I've heard from him has made me want to retch. Maybe he got better as time went on? I had no need to watch it. A friend of mine's father had a Japanese pen pal, and the Dad and Japanese dude did a monthly tape exchange. They recorded all the interesting native programming they could fit on a tape and would send it off. I got to finish the series well before most people even knew what the fuck it was.
Like I said earlier, I was fine with the English VA's for it. My friend was the one who was obsessed with the Jap voice actors. He was actually the one to get me into Dynasty Warriors in the first place.
Short story of how that went
>"Ok, I'll bring my X-Box over to your place on the weekend, what games do you want me to bring?"
>"I don't know, I've got a PS2 so not sure what games are on the X-Box"
>"Want me to bring Gook slaughter?"
And that's pretty much how I got into Dynasty Warriors.
Looks more like a Bugle chip...
>listening to the same 3 voice archetypes in the moon version of any anime or game
I'll listen to the moon man talk if the English version has actors I don't like, but fuck you if you think one if objectively better than the other.
>Everyone goes dub vs undub
>Meanwhile, latin american dubs in video games just don't exist at all
I went to see the Saint Seiya movie the other day, mexican dub and all, and I was impressed at how good the voice actors were. Goddamnit, those ultra cheesy lines actually were exciting in the movie!
WHO GIVES A FUCK! Why do faggots make such a big deal about this shit. Like the Funi dub? Good for you. Prefer the JPN? Great. You know which one is superior? The one you personally like more. That's it.
IF you like japanese DBZ then you're a Neckbeard Atheist *tips*
if you like the dub then you're are just a nostalgiafag who has rose-tinted goggles and stuck in the ninetie's.
If you like either then you're a Manchild
The Japanese language is filled with a number of colloquialisms and linguistic conventions that either don't exist in English at all or have poor equivalents that sound moronic and/or wooden. Because of that, the quality of a work is often lost in translation when moving into English.
Purists complain when it doesn't properly represent the original work and everyone else complains when it does. There's really no way to win.
There are a lot of things Toriyama doesn't remember.
BoG basically invalidated Uub, for instance. And stupid niggers complain about GT. At least it told a story that only involved one or two major asspulls.
>That little nod she does as if to say "go ahead, j-j-just jam it in"
>tfw Launch is my waifu
>tfw she is nonexistant in her creator eyes
No. Not at all.
Saint Seiya and DBZ are the only exceptions because they're motherfucking LOS CABALLEROS DEL ZODIACO and DBZ. I think the last anime movie shown in theaters over here was the Yu Gi Oh! movie, back in 2004. Before that, it was all Pokemon movies and Spirited Away (kinda weird we never got any more Ghibli films).
Toriyama is a master troll. He said that he didn't remember who Piccolo was at one point. It's just another thing that is lost in translation. It has been a running gag his entire career.
> or have poor equivalents that sound moronic and/or wooden.
That's because they are. When other languages would have multiple ways to say the same thing each implying different slight differences in meaning. Japanese will try to stretch a single word across anything they can
I've been going here for 7 years and I got behind GG. I like the Vivian design too, reminded me of the old /v/-tan comics that would spring up around here. I wish all the newfags would leave though. I just wanted to kick shitty people outta video games.
do you even listen to japanese dubs? there is a reason there is an english sub on 90% of anime, japanese voices are so void of emotion that they are white noise while you read the fucking sub.
>do you even listen to japanese dubs?
No, the only shit they dub is Transformers. Why would I watch Jap Transformers? Why would I watch Transformers to begin with?
Confirmed trolling, go home.
I don't have trouble with dubs, I have trouble with forced dubs being a thing, when English isn't even my first language.
I'd rather listen to the original audio instead of the one dubbed in an unrelated language.
That interview was part of the gag as well. Go back and read the interviews he'd done years before, and the sparse one's he's done since. It is a gag that just doesn't translate well.
I wish that he would do audio interviews. Then everyone would get it. His words are always taken super literally by translators. He is a funny strip guy, and pretends to be a buffoon. It is awesome.
Fuck you, Trigun had amazing voices for all the main characters. Fucking Wolfwood was amazing.
FMA and Brotherhood were alright from what I can recall.
JPN version's dialog isn't nearly as bad. Also, the acting is worse in the dub. Kai's dub is pretty good. I still think the JPN is better tho.
>RRRRIIIIIIIICCCHHHAAARRRD sounds retarded to us, but you could easily imagine someone going SEEEEENNNNPPPAAAAAAIII in the exact same tone.
You haven't seen any American movie where they scream out someone's name dramatically?
Also the voice acting wasn't really terrible. I can't imagine
MICHAEEEEEEELcalling anyone senpai. He wouldn't follow anyone like a senpai. Because
OF THE UNITED STATES
There is no point in arguing with trolls, I just reply to you to keep you busy from trolling elsewhere or others. You are worthless to me and hopefully I feed you enough until boredom and go back to your cave.
>play stranglehold with
>all the characters speak english with bad chinese accents instead of cantonese since they are in HK
>Play Sleeping dogs
>Chinese people actually speaking chinese
americans dont understand culture
>game comes out with both japanese and english dubs
>english dub contains high quality voice acting from both veteran and newcoming VAs, sounds far better than the original japanese version, and is one of the best parts of the game
I can understand this for literally any other fucking anime in the world but
>Goku's fucking japanese VA
Everytime I hear that shit I feel like punching a baby, fuck its so bad
stir what up why are you so defensive. japanese dubs don't convey any emotion, name one dub that does. even if you could, they would pale in comparison to english dubs.
find a japanese dub with any emotion and post it please
>Like TFS goku, but not a fucking woman?
It's like his name is MasakoX or something.
As in reference, to Masako Nozawa, the voice of Goku?
>Freeza's fucking mexican VA
He's such a suave motherfucker
Rewatching DBZ recently made me realize how fucking terrible the dub was. 4kids dubs were at least so bad they're good and had interesting changes (Latino MK), but DBZ was just bad. Kai's dub was aight though.
>not loving the cheesy hamfisted dub of DBZ
You'll never make it.
>The "original" funimation DBZ dubs were good
There are not people on this planet that actually think this, are there?
>thinking anything they do is best at anything
"Usted ! Cerdo sudoroso ! Toma de ustedes pantalones ..."
>yfw it's the newfags trying too hard too fit in who are actually complaining about OC
They are shit, fucking retard.
It's censored out the ass for one. If you ever watched it with a subtitle file on, you would see how much shit is completely altered for american babies.
Hell, half the time in DB they're usually talking about tits and the dub just goes off in some random direction.
Then the fact that the music is butchered, which is a big no-no. Especially touching the god-tier OP/ED's. There is absolutely no defending this practice and it would not fly today.
>but anon! goku sounds bad in japanese!
Fuck off, stupid retard. Why don't you watch it from the beginning of DB so you can understand why it's like that? The entire fucking point was that he shows up to the 23rd tournament physically grown up, but mentally exactly as he was before. And he remains that way all the way through. The dub completely fucks it.
tldr: you're a dumb nostalgic twit. any non-american thinks you're a retard.
I have a hard time believing anyone could do Maleficent justice in japanese.
Japanese has synonyms as well. Alteration of meaning through inflection also exists in English.
I don't know what you're talking about. The Japanese usages are not wooden natively.
It does in this little thing called FICTION. You may have heard of it. It's where authors and directors can portray their characters however the fuck they want to and doesn't have to reflect real life.
Who cares? I dont care if they are talking about tits all the time. What are you, 12? Also Goku sounding like absolute ass is one of the main reasons why the jap version is almost unwatchable.
You weabos make me laugh heartily. /a/ is that way, m8
A dubs job is to dub the lines accurately. When it is no longer dubbing, but instead altering, then it's a bad dub because it's no longer doing its job.
It's okay if you enjoy consuming shit, but don't act like that shit tastes good around others.
Stop trying to outclass americans. I say it as a fellow latinfag.
You shoving around a latinflag everytime makes it look as bad as the retarded americans do when they shove around their shitty dub.
At least the latin dub wasn't mediocre so there is an actual reason to feel some proud out it
Western normalfags not even fucking once
I bet you niggas hate on based Norio Wakamoto too because "muh nostalgia doesn't sound the same so it's shit!"
Seriously, sub dragon ball is so much better it isn't even funny, even if you don't like the voices, go ahead and take a look at the script. The terribad american dub butchered all the chinese mythology and on top of that changed the script around so much to say stupid jokes and make the plot easier for retarded american children to digest what is going on, not to mention the censorship as a whole.
Not even gonna touch the edgy linking park tier soundtrack, I know americans have shit taste and eat that shit like candy.
American dub is complete cancer, even the spic dub did a much better job at respecting the original soul of the series.
>Japanese Kingdom Hearts
What in the hell were they thinking? Sora, Goofy, and Jiminy sound perfectly acceptable though.
Just an example using the KH2 opening, although I don't think it has Mickey or Axel.
>GT is fanfiction. All Toriyama did was design the characters.
Actually he didn't design anything for GT
And he gave input for the storyline himself, so you actually have that completely backward.
I'm surprised that Dub wasn't complete shit. It's the only game with Dual - Audio that I prefer to play in English.
Guys, the Americans are embarrassing themselves again.
MGS actually has some pretty big names in their JP dub.
The Boss is voiced by Kikuko Inoue (I-No from Guilty Gear, famous because she's been 17 years old since forever) (she's actually 50 years old).
Miller is voiced by motherfucking Sugita. I don't even have to explain who Sugita is; go watch BlazBlue Radio and Tokyo Encounter.
Otacon and Snake are Jonathan Joestar and Wamuu, just to name some recent works. They're really old voice actors.
You should really watch db and dbz
Speaking as someone who stopped liking anime (I can never finish a series nowadays even if it's like 20 episodes long, watched that kill la kill garbage everyone was creaming over and didn't make it past episode 5), I marathoned DB and DBZ recently thinking I wouldn't be able to stomach the series because I grew up
Boy was I wrong
Everything from the mythology, universe, likeable characters, adventures and planet trembling battles
Seriously go watch it, skip the filler if you want
Seems likely, there's a picture floating around where Toriyama drew SSJ4 himself and remarked that he actually really liked the design though he didn't come up with it.
I'm too lazy to go looking for it though I'm sure some other anon can provide.
>Anime voice acting list
>Girl playing as a guy while not even trying to sound like a man
>Ear shattering high pitched "am I kawaii uguu"
>Generic "mature woman" flirty
>Tiny Asian balls high pitched man voice
>Deep salaryman voice
Meanwhile the western voice acting scene has a wider variety of voices, and actors that can do more than one voice.
>americans defend this
You post the picture with the name Mr. Satan, and not only that you must be sarcastic because Daisuke Gōri, god bless him in heaven died as the best voice actor there is.
Where do you guys go for subbed anime? I wanted to try watching some before realizing I have no idea where to go to pirate it. I tried searching for some some Space Dandy earlier but the only subbed version I found had fucking french subs.
Not every thread. Nobody would even be defending dubs if OP didn't start the thread with fucking DB.
Americans have a huge boner for db dub because of the nostalgia blinding them.
How are you even alive if you can't even Google something?
>not using duckduckgo
DuckDuckGo is the future, don't listen to the plebs.
idk i'd argue it went downhill starting with piccolo, just a very formulaic, boring arc. dragon ball peaked at the 22nd tournament
the freezer arc is better than the piccolo arcs, but everything after that isn't worth it
Thanks, I've wanted to try watching some anime for when I don't feel like playing vidya, but I realized the good 'ol Pirate Bay doesn't work as well for anime as it does for video games.
I don't know what the appeal to hearing squeaky girls and dick ridden guys is in an undecipherable moon language is, but i can't stand the 4 generic gook voices for any longer than 3 seconds
Thank you, you've convinced me to pick up the manga. I started watching the anime and it had amazing momentum till Dr. Chinaman gets all beardy and on the run trying to find Johan. Watching it just became a slog like it was a weird monster of the week formula except it with sad people he helps, I got really burnt out. Last episode I saw was when they go to that mob king's mansion and it gets attacked and Dr. Chinaman's ex-wife comes to save them.
So thank you, because I keep meaning to finish that story because I really like it and it's good to know that it wasn't just me.
>Americans have a huge boner for db dub because of the nostalgia blinding them.
I kinda feel bad for american people
I can honestly say I prefer the jap version of Gohan going SSJ2 than the English dub, but thats about it.
>preferring gook hamster voices over glorious man voices and metal guitar riffs
Nigger are you a canadian, or a red blooded american
There's no convincing people with so much nostalgia. They are like religious fundamentalists.
They grew up believing one thing should sound a certain way and won't listen to anything saying otherwise.
>Weebs honestly think the kazoos are better than the Faulconer soundtrack
Also fun fact, Bruce Faulconer the man didn't really make most of the music, he just got the credit because it's his production company. Some other guy made most of the tracks and he's super butthurt about how everyone thinks Bruce Faulconer made it, you can find him bitching in youtube comments of the music sometimes, lol.
Yu Yu Hakusho's dub had better versions of the music too
Ebglish singer> Whoever that nasally jap is.
One of the DBZ games for the Wii had a dual voice option.
When I went to go change it, the English Chichi voice said "This will change all the voices to Japanese, though I don't know why you'd want to do that.." in a really condescending mean spirited way.
You know what the Japanese Chichi's line was? "This will change the voices to English! Study hard, okay?" in the most enthusiastic well-meaning mom voice.
That really said a lot to me about the localization team.
Dragon Ball is one of the rare cases in which the English dub can actually still be charming, albeit different from the original work. Didn't watch the show as a kid, but seeing it now, it just seems like campy, goofy fun with some decent humor. Something like JoJo just seems soulless by comparison.
Kai's english dub is amazing.
The original DBZ's english dub was fucking terrible, the voices weren't all that bad but the cringeworthy jokes and dialog were fucking atrocious. Goku sounds like a wimp. Vegeta sounds like a try hard. Teen Gohan sounds like a chain smoker.
>Watch the censored version
>complain about censorship
Funimtion released an uncut and unedited version ages ago. I'm sorry you're retarded and like little girls to voice all your grown men.
>YYH dub music being better than the original.
This has to be bait. I can understand liking the English singing more, but the actual music is a shitty souless remake of the original. It's like preferring a SNES cover of a rock song.
99% of the english players switching to japanese are just weebs that don't understand any nipspeak
99% of japs know at least a little english if not a lot and playing games in english makes sense as its a fun way to study.
Any Japanese game that's ever come out has just fine dubs. I've always preferred them, it's kinda fun recognizing voice actors. You can't do that if you don't know the fucking language to begin with.
I never stick to a particular website because at one point or another they'll always miss something. I just Google it and see what I can discover. You know I wish there was a Battle Royale anime. I like the manga so far but I've always preferred watching anime over reading manga.
>metal guitar riffs
I hope this post was ironic.
Yes, I can see that.
It's completely amazing. My little sister asked me last year what anime I watched when I was young. I told her I watched Dragon Ball Z, Sakura Card Captors, Sailor Moon, Yu Yu Hakusho, Samurai X, and the like.
She later came to me telling me how to download them in japanese because a few of them she could only find them in English and sounded so terrible she couldn't even watch the first episode. That day I realized everything I liked as a kid was shit. I helped her to get jap voices and she loved DBZ and Sakura.
There is hope in the children, anon.
she refuses to watch DB though, it says its too old and disgusting, I hate her
I seriously hope you are playing videogames while shitposting on /v/
I'm watching professional counter strike matches if that counts for anything
The only good dub is Yu Yu Hakusho.
My fucking nigga. Kaiji was not only one of the best anime I've watched, but also one of the best shows I've ever watched. I mean like, holy shit it was good, after the 2nd episode I was fucking hooked and stayed up for hours and hours on end watching all the episodes, because fuck sleep when you have something this good.
And this is coming from someone who has little or no drive to enjoy things in life, be it vidya, art or anime. Kaiji was something special.
I also felt the same with Watamote but to a lesser extent, I know it can be pretty buzzword here because of Tomoko's character, but it's actually pretty damn good, haven't read the manga yet but I plan to do so after the OVA releases.
How about an animu where the english dub completely destroys the original jap voice acting? Not even Wakamoto Norio was enough to make it superior to the glorious dub.
Hellsing videogame when? ;_;
They get paid to play. Hence they are professional players.
>modern eastern styled orchestra that incorporates exotic wind instruments and traditional japanese taiko drums, with roots in both western classics like Morricone and in cult wuxia films
>a guitar, some drums and heavy synth that results in a trashy mishmash of tecno, rock and pop. Drawing from music made for younger audience, it became a forgetable experience more suited to shareware games and shitty newsground flashes
Yes, the choice is clear.
>AMERICAN DUB IS THE BEST (lol but seriously it's shit)
>JAPANESE VOICES ARE BEST
>G-GUYS REMEMBER THE MEXICAN DUB? IT WAS GOOD, CAN WE PLAY GUYS?
Instead if arguing like facts, let's laugh at the terrible Portuguese dub, and be glad you didn't grow up with this shit
I've watched a lot of anime. A LOT of fucking anime. Like 34 complete series not including movies. I've even come to sort of understand Japanese from all the anime I've seen.
I can safely say the English dub of DBZ is superior.
>implying the GiTs english dub isn't amazing.
>implying it isn't better than the Jap one
>hating the American Dub
>hating based Bruce Faulconers score
>>modern eastern styled orchestra that incorporates exotic wind instruments and traditional japanese taiko drums, with roots in both western classics like Morricone and in cult wuxia films
And yet it still comes out sounding like a bunch of vuvuzelas. That's kind of sad.
>People unironically like Bruce Falconer's soundtrack
