>go to rockstop to get games for stonestation
>t-rex tries to eat me on way
>finally get to rockstop
>they no give me stonestation game
>they say stonestation have no game
UNGA BUNGA ROCKSTOP
>Groove on down to my local Gamestop
>Check out a few chicks on the way
>Bust through the door and jive down to the register
>"Hey sweet thing, I'll take a copy of Chrono Trigger, and your number too."
>The babe seems flustered
>"W-What're you looking for?"
>Smirk to the funk-daddy standing behind me and turn back to my confused register worker
>"C'mon baby I said Chrono Trigger, and your number."
>This hot piece of ass is shaken, but angry
>"S-Sir, please leave before I have to call the police."
>I high-tail it out of there after giving the honey a smooth wink
>Turns out I was in a women's shelter
>Consoles still not at 360p
>They'll never enjoy DooM the way we can
>Playing Warcraft 2 online
>mom picks up the phone
Mum would help get the modem dialed in over Red Alert with a buddy. We would load up a custom map of two islands with a single bridge. First thing was to send engineers over the bridge to blow it up, the AI didn't know how to repair it, so we'd have as much time as we wanted to make a massive force, then roll across the ocean to stomp the enemy base. We played that map over and over.
i miss you mum
This. I rented a Playstation from blockbuster to play Battle Arena Toshinden. I remember it being weird because it was a console game on a CD and load times being annoying but the game was great.
Yo dudes they just re-released a bunch of Nintendo games at Toys'R'Us!
I just picked up the whole Final Fantasy Legend series and Final Fantasy adventure on the Gameboy.
I'm gonna play the heck out of them while my brother is playing his sports games on the PSX.
Just picked up this bad boy. Cant wait to play everywhere
Shit. I only still had the Genesis during those years.
I can't believe how outdated I was, even up to now.
>Not the Game Gear
Sega does what Nintendon't, yadda yadda, etc etc.
I thought this game would be radical because
it was in a big box but it fuckin' sucks v
mom's buyer's remorse general
One more year tell Krazy mother fucking Ivan comes out!
Who needs new systems anyways. We Vectorman now.
Just got a joystick for this. Anyone else keen as a bean?
>thousands of shovelware titles
>at least 80 awesome games each
>more than PS3 and 4
Anyway, I really like to see that images with lots of shovelware, I'm pretty sure there are shitty games too for PS3.
>PSX has no games
I know you have to post bad things about other console since you're probably waiting for Ultra64, but you definitely should inform yourself better. U64 will have more or less just bastardized version of Mario and even more bastardized version of LoZ (2D games in 3D, what the hell were they thinking??) with overpriced cartridges. PlayStation and CD are the future!
What would you guys like to see in a GITS video game?
>there are people in this thread that genuinely believe the Playstation was called the PSX
It's official guys, U64 will be dead system. Even that Japanese guy who is making Mario games was seen playing Playstation game
Yea, fuck those underage kiddies, they clearly don't know what they are talking about.
Also, see Google Groups; do a web search of 'site:thegia.psy-q.ch/ psx'; and read back issues of magazines like those whose archived sites are linked above.
Your Gheystation will die before the year is over. All the devs have already invested everything in Ninty, and there's nothing short of them giving them the middle finger that'll make em' switch.
>you'll never have enough disk space to save those .bmps
>sony USA: Hey how about we call it the PSX?
>sony Japan: How about NO?
>sony USA: We're gonna use psx anyway! nyer nyer
It never was an official name and never will be due to a real PSX existing now.
A gift from me
>All those kids still playing with toys like Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis
>Not playing a REAL system like 3DO
Stay plebeian /v/
Any information for Pocket Monsters Red and Green yet? All I know is that it comes out in Japan next February.
Looks like a shitty RPG but with a forced trading card "collecting" gimmick and on a gameboy. Kids don't want to collect, they want radicool adventures.
I wouldn't be surprised if this game came out and went completely unnoticed.
fuck man, it's been 2 years since we got a truly great pinball game. how long is the drought going to be?
obviously the gameboy games were 4, 5, and 6
windows has been out since 1985
I hate modern Sony but the PS1 was pretty fucking great. I have around 1400 ISO's on my HTPC, shit is cash.
That said I did prefer the N64 for dat multiplayer and superior platformers in SM64 and Banjo Kazooie. OoT was pretty sweet too.
Saturn was awesome too but I never owned one. The only person I knew with one was my next door neighbour. We'd play a lot of Virtua Fighter.
5th gen was awesome whatever system you had.
Are you guys still playing on those 8- and 16-bit systems?
Nope, I've been on 32 bits for the last 10 years
Quality arcade racing finally available for DOS!
Is Quake gonna be a competition for Descent? Check the preview
whos hosting the weekly comic chat? i got a temporary ban from AOL chat
Magic Carpet is back and raising the bar. Last year's release was already pushing the most powerful machines out there, giving us unparalleled graphics quality. Now it's back and comes with new dynamic lighting, bigger explosions, more devastating spells, new night and cave levels, and last but not least, an overhauled interface
Holy balls this game looks awesome, who's going to get it?
With keyboard the game's crazy as fuck. Then I got a sidewinder 3D pro and the game has never been the same ever since. You can actually control the Pyro extremely well with that joystick. It makes you feel all powerful, rocking the full 6 DOF like it's nobody's business.
I use the coolie hat to strafe (up, down and sideways), throttle for forward/reverse cruising, twisting the stick to roll, moving the stick for yaw and pitch. Weapons are selected using the keyboard, or cycled using some of the base buttons. The base buttons also control other utility functions you don't need all the time
I had one of these and used to play Conflict: Freespace (Descent: Freespace in the US) with it. I don't think I ever played the original Descent.
Sidewinder joyticks were so fucking good.
Probably one of his friends shares his internet connection with him, you don't really need extraordinary internet speed when the only thing you want is to read your emails once a week, it's a shame that internet cafe aren't a thing anymore
>we still recieve analog TV signal
Guy who owns the local cable network broadcasts about 20 programs from satelite into the cable, about 200 people still pay for it since they don't need to watch anything else (and it's 1€/month).
Final Fantasy II > Final Fantasy III
>it has a classic medieval setting instead of this new grimdark industrial age one
>all characters had their place in story unlike shit characters like Umaro and Gogo, speaking of Gogo who the fuck is he(she?) supposed to be anyway?
>all characters had unique battle skills instead of all being magic users at the end game
>and lastly you play as a MAN in FFII and not as some magical supa kawaii uguu~ fanservice girls
Anyone thinking FFIII is better than FFII is a fucking idiot and the reason the series went to shit.
The only reason for CDs and against cartridges is space. We know how that turned out. With developers having "endless" space on their discs they filled it with .... cutscenes. The most un-game component imaginable. Tons and tons of cutscenes. Later uncompressed audio, but the same issue. Stuff that's nice to have, but far from necessary for good games.
Whiplash, motherfuckers! You got to play this. The tracks are just crazy
more like babbies first rts. You can stop enemy units with sandbags, ffs. Have a real RTS instead
Superior what? You have no bilinear filtering, you have no perspective correction, you have no resolution
Oh look, another Capcom rehash
I predict Megaman's death in a decade.
Is anyone else hyped about Virtual Boy?
Game Boy was a god tier portable system and I'm sure Virtual Boy will be even better.
Arcade master race here.
Don't mind me, just beating scrubs in Virtua fighter 2 and Daytona USA. And have you guys seen that one robot fighting game with twin sticks? Virtual get it on or something?
>Open image in 1995
>ten years later
GUYS, GUYS, GUYS! It loaded! It finally loaded!
>I didn't have a problem doing well in that game
Who said I have? I'm just not interested in memorizing the track, because the game has a shit perspective. I'd rather spend my time and money to play good games instead
damn, i cant wait to see what great cereal we'll get in the future
I wonder when moot is going to make a board for all these Chrono Trigger shitposters.
They showed MS how to really make a flight simulator
>tfw too poor to even afford an SNES/Genesis, nevermind the latest consoles
>tfw stuck playing with the NES and Pogs all day
Being poorfag is suffering ;_;
this game came out 2 years ago,
and im pretty sure its going to be the most beautiful racing game for decades
Long life sega, i hope you never die
>Not emulating NES games
It's only a matter of time until we're emulating the SNES, peasants.
superior gaming mag coming through
Clearly you weren't around for the n64. It was heavily a first party console and took years to build a lineup. Unless you like to play only pilotwings and mario64 for a year after it was released
How fucking god-tier is Windows 95?
Microsoft can do no wrong
god-tier? It's much heavier than 3.11. Getting rid of progman is a good thing, but an OS with a GUI on a gaming machine? That's more than just annoying. I'll be dropping to DOS for gaming, and at most keep Windows around for work
the X its from a multimedia player based on ps2.
You can do SVGA from DOS just fine. Even higher resolutions like 1024x768, thanks to VBE
Or better, you have a diamond monster and get glorious smooth 800x600 with full bilinear filtering, perspective correction, accelerated fog, etc
>mfw running win3.11 in a ramdrive so starting windows took 11 seconds
Sony were going to launch it in the US as the PSX, because the PlayStation didn't do very well as a name in brand testing. So a fair chunk of the early advertising promised that the PSX was coming.
how hyped are you faggots for HALF LIFE?
>Implying this isn't going to revolutionize PC gaming forever
That game is trippy as fuck, DOS-fag.
Don't mind me, I'm just playing the best CD based machine known as the TurboDuo. I bet your childish toys can't handle music like this.
Not sure about 95, but on XP it was more or less a sync folder. You put your USB inside with a copy of your own briefcase folder, it checks if they are same and if they're different, it asks you what to do next
>not playing DOOM
who gives a damn about framerate? The SNES port can't even show floor or ceiling textures. That's what happens when you port to a system that just can't do it. The SNES is a natively tile based system. Doing per-pixel manipulation like Doom requires really backwards and inperformant techniques. The SNES excels at 2D but really really sucks at anything 3D, for technical reasons
>mfw we'll have 4096-bit nintendo and sega consoles in 20 years
What the fuck are you talking about? The GB has no color, much as I wish it did.
Oh you mean those colored Game Boys? I prefer the standard grey to be honest.
I AM FROM THE FUTURE
STOP PLAYING VIDEO GAMES NOW
THEY ARE ALL GOING TO BE TERRIBLE
YOU WILL SPEND THE REST OF YOUR LIFE COMPLAINING ABOUT IT ON A FORUM WITH OTHER FRUSTRATED UNIDENTIFIED USERS
>mfw we'll finally live like the jetsons
I knew I made this image for a reason and it would come in handy one day.
If only I could remember the commercial I stole it from.
Does anyone else agree with this? Nintendo really has been dropping the ball here.
Nintendo will be dead in 5 years, mark my word. The future belongs to Sony and Sega.
Hello, 4Chan's /V\. My son has recently got into these "video games" and I'm wondering if they are having a negative effect on him. He likes to play "Maryo" and "Sega" and I thought I would speak to you Video Game experts to see if this will encourage violence in him.
Yup exactly. This is the same reason SSD's boot windows and programs/ games so much faster and generally feel a lot more responsive.
It has little to do with the read times of them, but the fact that they have 0.1ms seek times vs 8-9ms HDD seek times.
there's literally NO difference between this and the arcade original you dorkmeister
Don't even pretend the PS1 can't do 3D better than the Saturn, let alone the 32x. And the Ultra 64 will blow everyone out of the water!
You don't even have 3D handhelds, faggot. Virtual Gear when?
