>the environments got boring and repetitive
>voice acting not nearly as brilliant as Dawn of War
>Orks don't sound Orky at all
>40k's limitless universe to expand upon and the story never really went anywhere
>final boss was a shitty QTE
>multiplayer is P2P broken bullshit and very shallow
>the Exterminatus game mode would glitch out a lot, doesn't let you change classes mid-game
I had such high hopes for this game and it was a 6/10 at best.
It wasn't bad but just ended up being underwhelming and somewhat mediocre. You could tell the nonsensical story and repetitive gameplay were meant for an open world game but were forced to scrap the idea.
>I had such high hopes for this game
Did you though really?
>Wrex doesn't rejoin your team
>entire plot is "go run errands for all your squadmates and let the Illusive Man investigate shit for you"
>less powers and gear, streamlined inventory
>no fucking Wrex on your team
Currently playing through this and what a let down. Hopefully 3 is better.
> hopefully 3 is better
I hope this is the right webm, I need to name this shit
I thought the game was okay. Not GOTY material but fairly decent. I really enjoyed the flying aspect.
3 has more fleshed out inventory and powers, albeit not as much as ME1.
Wrex join's you, but not your party, but he's in your squad for the citadel DLC.
As for the plot, ME2's point was just for building characters. ME3's story is decent except for the last part of it and the giant deus ex machina waved in your face.
someone takes "not skipping leg day" far too seriously
>no new game+, no sequel ever because fuck you....t...thanks sega
what a shame because it was an otherwise fun game
what the fuck were they thinking
>As for the plot, ME2's point was just for building characters
Why does that matter? From what I understand most of the ME2 crew don't come back in 3. Also apparently Thane and Mordin are on the verge of death. Why spend a whole game building characters when all you're doing is setting a foundation for a house that will never be built?
the sad thing was I enjoyed mass effect 3 right up until the last attack on earth.
It felt like a low budget last second rush, no massive battle, no great campaign, just a load of shit and a non-sensical ending
>last attack on earth
literally why. I get that it's the human homeworld but I'm pretty sure none of Shepard's possible pasts involve him being born there, and it's already been established that the Citadel is the key focal point to fucking over everyone's mass effect relays.
I had the incredible urge to drop 3 as soon as I realize that the entire galaxy was now reduced to four hallways on the fucking citadel.
Still, I pushed through because I needed to finished what I started.
>Got to speak to one of the main voice actresses at a convention
>Even she was disappointed with where everything went
It's that time of the week again when we remember spore and then cry ourselves to sleep?
I don't find Ultramarines per se an issue.
It's the chapter they went with because it's the most likely to not upset fans since it's somewhat neutral.
Imagine if it was about Space Wolves.
Far Cry 2.
It looked much better in the 2006 demo.
What exactly was shitty about Dark Void? Did it turn into a mediocre third person shooter?
>Hopefully 3 is beter
>Mass Effect 3
Oh boy. Insert tanto into guts, twist, pull sideways now.
Instead of building off their near decade old masterpiece that was FFXI they chose to outsource the game to a clan of half monkey people living high in the mountains of turkmenistan.
It's a good mystery game with a shit tier mystery
It could have been a mystery game where you go around on you're own and naturally figure out what is going on without having to be strung around by the nose if it had a really good and complex mystery it could have been great but instead you just look through some jackasses shit while hearing/reading the excerpts of you're typical tumblr special snowflake cunt
I was expecting more Tribes. Not THAT.
ME3 felt more like Gears of War than Mass Effect to me is my only problem with it. That's just my opinion in the end, but it stopped feeling like a shooter with heavy RPG elements instead of a shooter with special abilities here and there. Its a decent and competent third person shooter, but just not what I considered Mass Effect to be.
I fucking loved how the black guy seemed like a twitchy crack head in cutscenes.
I dragged a bunch of friends through it one night after I'd already finished it, normally I'm happy to catch up with them but Dead Island is so fucking dull.
Meanwhile DMC4 only needed 8gb
I kinda want this after seeing a HnK style vid of this. Want to run about punching zombies left, right and center.
does anyone remember /v/'s hype for this game pre-release?
Everyone seemed convinced it was going to be a super-realistic zombie survival sim. If you tried to talk them down from it you'd get the hivemind cracking down on you like you just shit on their mother.
Not to mention the ridiculous posts treating the devs like they were in desperate need of our help to get the word of mouth out on the game.
why dont you save your porn with the power of the cloud?
no but seriously, to save space, i have a locked down facebook account with a stupid name and privat photo albums with what i assume is around 13 gigs of pics
>Keeping your files anywhere other than on personal drives
>good plot idea
>some parts were actually funny (even Al Lowe admited that)
>motherfucking porn fairy
it had a good potential but then
>facebook minigames tier
>the motherfucking minigames
>The fucking sequel, a rape to everything they made.
>Shits on Venom
>morality choices in a Spider-Man game
>The voice acting
>the voice acting
>Heroes treating Spidey like its his first day
>the goddamn voice acting especially Spidey's
There will never be a great Spider-Man game besides Ultimate Spider-Man
There will never be another good spiderman game.
Every ME2 crew member comes back in ME3, the majority of them getting satisfying development and/or conclusions. Only Tali and Garrus actually come back as squadmates, but the rest have big impacts on the story. It's one of the best things about ME3, even if the actual ending is shit the personal endings for each character are worthwhile.
Its on sale now.
Damn this game has really good concept, but if only lategame farming wasn't so fucked up.
Oh nigga you're going to LOVE tuchanka in 3 then. Game is really good until you start realizing they are shitting on ALL of your decisions , Kai Leng keeps coming back and the ending.
My god the ending
worse thing is that it isn't even as ba as people will make it sound . it's just some meh overwhelming "you will die anyways lol" made in a week tier shit for a GOAT franchise
People are spouting shit all around every day even ironically.
No one could even predict that 3DS will be successful outside of pokemons, it started even bad if I remember good.
Vita is one of the case that its not for everyone unlike 3DS.
god am I the only one who thought this could've been great.
>wasted opportunities galore
Remember Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway?
I fucking hated Gearbox after this shit happened.
And that's not even counting both the major plot reductions/changes and missed concept art ideas.
you are being ironic, right?
this wasn't even a disappointment, it just plain showing your middle finger to the fans. The asspulls of it, are retarded even for a fantasy plot.
Completely deleting the content then doing everything from scrap, also false advertising. I feel bad whoever bought this, except for those who thought this game is good.
It wasn't AWFUL (not muh Castlevania), but I think it had to potential to be better.
