>decide to play through dark souls 1 again
>the black knight halberd drops
>no challenge whatsoever for the rest of the game
I know that feel brah. I have a hard time restricting myself to using shitty weapons / challenge runs. Some part of me just insists on being a powergaming faggot
It's a god tier weapon. I got the black knight greatsword on my first playthrough, that was great fun to use.
Also been playing Demons Souls recently, it's not as good as DaS, most of the bosses have been really shitty, all the Valley of Defilement and Shrine of Storms and Stonefang arch were crap. Not sure why people love the game so much.
>only shit weapons drop until Drangleic Castle or so
>have a full painted guardian set + 2 bone fists character in DaS2
>fun as fuck to play, the most fun i've had in a souls game ever
>can't "park" him somewhere and co-op forever due to soul memory
>can't pvp forver due to soul memory
>can't fuck around and kill monsters forever due to respawn limit
>can't go back to DaS1 because there's no weapon that is as fun to use as that weapon
Fuck this team.
Fuck soul memory.
Fuck this unfun shitty design that kills replay value when the entire souls community had stable pvp and co-op characters in DaS1 and DeS that you coul use for years, and in fact i still have them parked in both games ready to be used at any time, at specific level caps.
Fuck this, fuck DaS2 for having some of the best weapons but being horribly unfun to play long term.
>It's a god tier weapon.
Toplel. I fucking hate it. It does alot of damage, but if you miss, there's the annoying fucking hit recovery.
Lightning Flamberge is literally the best weapon in the game.
>get Drangleic set in Forest of Fallen Giants
>Don't use anything else for rest of the game
Claymore, Mirrah, Drangleic, and similar sized greatswords have great movesets.
dat RT RT jab spin is great for PvP
Can almost weild this thing.
For the noobs, this weapon is not only a breaker for the base game but it makes the DLC easy too with it's physical/Demon damage.
>using bone fist
>using pretty much any DLC faggotry
That explain your retarded post. Now go to arena and PvP forever without gaining any souls. You are welcome.
Time to absolutely rape those pesky gargoyles /v/
You can pvp in the arena or using Blue Eye Orbs. You don't gain souls when you murder a host as an arbiter spirit. By where you are, I assume you can buy cracked blues no problem, right?
>decide to play DaS again
>decide to make a 2 handed STR character, cause I've never played one before
>dude invades my game hacked to be a white phantom, drops 99 Dual Humanities and a Lightning Longsword, sends me a message asking to mark him as a favorable player in GFWL
>summon some dude
>fight the black knight
>kill havel in like 3 hits
>haven't been invaded by any cheaters otherwise
>netcode seems to be fixed, or at least better.
I'm loving this all over again, after I was sorely disappointed by DaS2
Whats the deal with the stairs, Ive played the game 4 times through and never fucked up that part.
>Run to Catacombs
>Get Gravelord sword
>Kill all titanite demons
>Use it for the rest of the game
It started out as "I'll go get the drake sword that's viable for almost the whole game", but then it turned into a challenge run since I absolutely sucked at using its moveset until I got gud.
I never understood why people was so buthurt about cracked orbs. If you wanna invade, go to the arena, earn orbs like a man and then invade.
I dont have any bad experience, but search anor londo archers on youtube and laugh at peoples msiery
he is not in the stairs, he is in the aqueduct looking thing that connects the side towers to the main castle in londo
the one where the black archers like to hang near to push you off them
I had the Black Knight Sword when I fought the gargoyles for the first time, and it took like 6 to 8 hits each to kill them and its already an over powered weapon, how much more over powered is the halberd?
I know m8, the one leading to the side of the full building and the bonefire with oscar. Im saying I have not fucked up that part, simply because I booked it. The worst part was actually defending against the archers while near them, I got through easy with parrying
eh to be honest it was like 3 hits per gargoyle, I can only weild it 2hand atm, that sword is pretty much as broken as the halberd but it only really shows it true colors at higher levels with its C scaling
Those archers were the weirdest thing
>get shot in the side
>knocks me directly backwards
>get shot in the face at a slight angle
>knocks me directly forwards
Who programmed those bitches?
>Destroy the entire game with it
Then I made my second character a Paladin-ish Str/Faith build with a Lightning Mace and a Lightning Claymore and like 27 casts of Great Lightning Spear before they nerfed everything Faith related.
take your pick
I never actualy knew. I always sjust sprinted while blocking. thats it. Thats how easy it is. But some people try to roll and fuck it up. And just like you say, the knockback physics at that bridge thing is weird as fuck and you are going straight down.
>Fucking blacksmith in majula sells estoc
What better weapon would you wish for?
>using estoc without the appropriate armour
how high level?
I feel like I cornered my build, I managed to kill the duke, but nito still woops me, 4 kings kills me in a few shots
I haven't gone much deep into lost izaia, or what ever its the zone's name
My sword does some nice damage, but no higher than 350, and only if I dual weld it
Ive been playing the game blinds, so I have no clue if I tucked myself on my specs
> Play Dark Souls
> Guy invades me
> Proceeds to drop DLC Boss souls
> I didn't have the DLC
> Torn most of the game between which boss sword to turn my claymore into
