Hyrule Warriors thread.
If someone can tell me how to not suck at Agitha I'd appreciate it.
Dodge cancel as soon as she finishes her second bounce to get out of the animation. The beetle will still drop, and you can move on to do another beetle or whatever. You can also follow up the beetle with her C2 butterfly burst for juggles.
How do I unlock the 'x20,000' weapon buffs? Someone told me that I would first have to unlock every weapon and complete every Adventure Mode mission to start grinding them down, but they still aren't going down despite me doing this. Do I need an A Rank in every mission instead?
>battle limited to Lana's spear
>not suck as Agitha
Impossible. Not even spamming beetles makes her good
Once you get every weapon in Legend and Adventure Mode, you'll get a cute little COMPLETE! animation and a mark above the map. Next you have to unlock the 25K skill on the Master Sword FIRST. After that, the other 25K skills will turn from purple to red and can be worked on one at a time.
>Spam C4 + Cancel out before Deku Leave Glide
>Use Special on Commanders
Ah, that would explain it. I've been using the Magical Sword this whole time.
thanks anyways anons.
Keep in mind that its 4 hearts worth of damage in total; if you can't avoid damage outright, try and keep track of how much you've taken so you don't waste time rack in up kills after you've disqualified yourself by mistake. Also, remember to complete the first objective the mission gives you- it won't spawn until you do that.
REMINDER THAT YOU CAN ACTUALLY SUE NINTENDO FOR FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.
THEY SAID THE TP DLC IS AVAILABLE NOW. IT'S NOT.
THAT COUNTS AS FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.
UNLEASH THE RAGE GUYS, TOGETHER WE CAN FINALLY KILL THIS CANCER OF A COMPANY.
>spam the same move over and over
Yeah, nah. I'd rather use her book because at least you can use the whole moveset depending on the situation.
>not a whole button mashfest
>Zelda villains are black
way to go Nintendo
>deku spear is OP as fuck.
>deku spear OP
>when it only has one viable combo and a super that's only useful for killing bosses.
There are certain characters and weapons that are OP. lana and her shit spear do not qualify.
Yeah, I wanted to say what >>270384696 said, that you had to do at least two runs to get them both. Happened to me too, most of the time I'm sure that I've not taken more than 4 hearts of damage but I must be mistaken, maybe because of the lying hearts that you collect without noticing.
Okay so I've finally beaten adventure mode. 100%, and everyone I like playing is at 99.
I haven't played nor paid for the DLC.
I understand the DLC villains have T2 and T3 weapons there. But is it POSSIBLE for Volga to get more fucking broken? I'm using a 5 star, T1, 2 slot weapon with Strength 3 and No Blocking and I'm killing things better than I do with Link or Ganon.
I thought I was just mistaken too, and then I did a link run where I was 100% sure I hadn't gotten hit because I used cheap tactics on the whole thing and the 1200 one didn't appear until my second run, after I had gotten the 1k skulltula.
>tfw I realized that what I thought was a white-bearded man was in fact Sheik on the adventure map's rewards
I went through every character twice and even thought it could be
Rauruat some point. Jesus.
Getting enemies into the air and using your mid-air butterfly combo inflicts RIDICULOUS damage.
Also, your first combo->heavy move is great for reducing enemies' weak point meters.
Combo->heavy, then catch them on their way back down with two combo attacks.
Quick question. Can I break the game knowing this?
I have 5 weapons to go before I'm finished; but I understand the 25K Skill is always the same.
So can I transfer the 300 point damage buff to another weapon with the 25K skill locked on it?
It doesn't work the way you think it does.
You can only transfer skills between T1-T2-T3 of the same weapon (Spell Tome, Sealing Tome, Goddess Tome or Knight Sword, White Sword, Magic Sword)
Right; but I have 3 of Impa's Biggoron Swords with the 25K skill locked.
I'm asking if the game will check the locked 25K skill against the unlocked 25K skill for the "Can't smitty a skill already on a weapon" protection, or if it's a blindspot, or if I'm the first to conceive of it in this area.
I wish there was some logic to the sorting of them.
NO I DO NOT WANT TO THROW AWAY MY 8 SLOT T3 WITH 5 STARS
But I have to tell the game that every time I find a new T1 1 star rapier.
>Periodically Nintendo takes the Nintendo Network offline in order to perform routine maintenance. Today the network will be offline from 12:00pm PST to 5:00pm PST for a total of five hours. During this time, you’ll be unable to access the Nintendo eShop on either the Wii U or the Nintendo 3DS
do we get the TP pack after that?
You only have to do it once for each type of weapon, and then more unlocked ones can show up for that weapon? Holy shit, that's good news. I was afraid that I'd have to grind endlessly if I wanted more than one weapon to have the skill. Time to go work on some unlocks.
Spam the beetle combo. That takes out large groups of enemies. For character fights, use the first combo to juggle enemies with butterflies to deplete the weak point gauge faster.
Honestly, every time Lana is required I die a little. Her only decent weapon is the book of sorcery, and that's only good for spamming C3. It's a sham that whenever you need bombs for Adventure Mode the easiest tiles are for her.
>Deku Stick is unsavable trash
>Summoning gate takes a while to do attacks
>Book of Sorcery
>Attacks are fast
>Great crowd control
>Easy to juggle enemies
>Easy to set up her Strong Attack with C3, which deals a good amount of damage
Her Book of Sorcery is 10/10
>2 minutes left to get the boss and have that gold medal
>notice an enemy outpost on the other end of the map
Anyone else doing Master quest adventure map? Trying to get the Impa heart container on the extreme left (700 kills in 10 minutes), I can beat it, but I need to do it in under 7minutes for an A rank, wat do?
>tfw my bro-op buddy thinks HW is repetitive and boring.
Don't forget different character skins
Adventure maps are huge as fuck. A few tier weapon missions can only fill so many squares.
>Clear most of the first Adventure map
>Unlock the Master Sword's weapon skill
>Fill in a majority of every character's badges
>Still have not seen a single gold material drop from the Imprisoned
Shit. Is there a good place to farm him or am I stuck to 1-2 of him per battle?
Also is unlocking the 25k kill skill for the other weapons worth it or are they all just the same skill that the Master Sword gets?
Could have had him instead of Lana with the Tome.
Could have had Saria instead of Lana with the Deku Stick.
Could have had Wizzro utilize the Summoning Gate.
Lana is shit.
>delicious blue hair and purple lipstick
Always beats the shit out of blond Zelda, thanks LBW.
Posting superior Hilda reskin
The Triforce on that one is right side up for fucks sake.
And then there's the issue where shit stops rendering along with the fps drops. It makes taking keeps and getting enough kills for an A rank a nightmare.
When I play with my bro we just stick together and juggle officers between each other.
Some of the ones from the MQ pack are kind of shit already
bullshit just happened to me
>do mission with ganondorf
>fail after 20 min
>finally get it right after again 20 min
>fight final boss
fuck this shit
I've barely used the dojo and every character bar Volga is around 30. I'm looking at a million rupees right now, but I don't want to spend them ;_;
I wish there was more use for the money though. Yeah I could go from 1 to 40 in a second, but after that you'll never use the dojo again.
>perfect for zelda
not really, there is nothing to suggest that she'd summon shit. If anyone should have used it it would have been Cia/Wizzro, since they both summon shit in the game.
Give this guy some an alternate Groose, and Tingle costumes.
Too bad they're not smart
>"end of november"
luckily for them everyone who cares at all about MK8 already paid to ensure they'd get the discount
Is TP out in Japan yet? Do we know who the character is?
I feel like she'ld wield it much more sexily than Impa too.
Why use an edit when you can just use the pic?
And, it'd be a nice nod to Wind Waker's Wizzrobes.
Another good idea. No Gerudo mobs is a crime.
I think it could be Ashei, or maybe someone not related to Twilight Princess. Who knows.
Do we know when we're getting the DLC?
Dull that edge, Shadow. I said who knows for a reason. They may add someone unrelated to Twilight but try to incorporate them into that world, like what Smash did for Sheik.
With Agitha, who knows what the hell we'll be getting.
What character should have this?
>nearly two thousand and fifteen cycles since the age of demise
>not maining the dark lord
You can have this in the meantime.
Nigga don't even act like the crossbow didn't kick ass and take names in the latest DW games.
>Ruto T3 mission
>Icy Poes all over the fucking place
>Ruto is so fucking stiff she can't dodge the bullet hell
>Cuccoos have started fighting in a random keep
>Cuccoos have started fighting in a random keep
>Cuccoos have started fighting in a random keep
>Zant "No Weak Point" Spinsanic is the boss
I'll probably manage but holy shit it's annoying.
I have tried that many times, with and without friends. I don't even know how to tackle it anymore.
While on it, does it even matter if you go to fight the cuccos or not? No matter what I do and which I hit, the red cucco always leaves and the yellow stays and calls for more reinforcements.
I'm all for a FemLink fuck yea.
Maybe not loli though.
I concur. Midna is an annoying cunt as a boss. Huge AoE attacks that she pulls off really quick with no warnings. Pretty easy to get comboed in and she seems to rarely show her Weak Gauge.
I'd suggest just ignoring the chickens. Kill the commanders, save the base, and rush the boss. Chickens seem content themselves just killing enemy or friendly troops slowly.
Don't hang out near them though. 4 hearts a hit.
>You will never have a feisty Fem!Link little sister to go on adventures with
Makes me wonder if Ninty will ever give Link a sibiling again in future titles.
I like this idea. Why can't Link have roots? In fact I'd like an entire game to showcase Link having a family.
A home life with BOTH parents, a little sister, and a brother; possibly two, possibly older. But more than that: Have a set of grand parents living at home with them, and another family in the home town consisting of Link's aunt/uncle/cousins. But also a cousin who lives over in Kikariko, Other Grandparents who run a shop in Castle Town, an aunt who married a rancher that lives out past Lake Hylia, a knight Uncle in the city watch in some beseiged town somewhere.
I'd get a little more involved in quests and subquests if the chidings to live up to a hero's calling is coming from an uncle that will tell me how I'm part of a Knight bloodline. Or if the love note I'm delivering is to my little brother's crush instead of from some dick.
I don't get this. Explain this to me. I know the Gerudo have guards that have pikes. But I can't see how there'd be ANY sense to Nabooru using the Naginata. Not just because of the Sheikah symbol either.
The one we have is EXTREMELY NINJA or at least what passes for it in metafiction, and certainly falls in line with Biggoron Sword. Involves acrobatic flips, spins, generally hitting things you're not looking at, and creating elemental replicates that explode. The only other character in this game that makes clone weapons is Sheik, another purported Sheikah.
I'm all in favor of increasing the count of scantly clad brown women. But she could have the sworddancer moveset, the Iron Knuckle moveset, or a less theatrical polearm of her own.
Didn't he clarify that he was joking around when he said that?
At any rate, I just want to see more NPCs filling up Hyrule. There's a lot of potential to have a more interesting world than just village, other village, zoras, and big-ass empty field/travel area.
Well, the middle-eastern design of it fits a Gerudo just as good as it does Impa in this game. Nabooru has never been seen using weapons, save for the manga where she used dual blades. It's not too far off for the reason you stated in the first sentence.
With how feminine Link's becoming, I can see them making him look like that. I still call male on it.
There's so many people thinking the new weapon is the spinner I half expect them to do something else.
Then I remember the only other unique weapon from TP not already in the game is the stupid statute rod.
I can't say the same for Link's Skyward costume. Looks like clay, or play-doh.
>Nabooru has never been seen using weapons
She was wielding the Iron Knuckle Axe. Accounting for mindcontrol; the drawing of weapons by association still wouldn't logically give her this naginata. Darunia getting a hammer makes sense by clan or dungeon association.
But I still don't think she'd use it ANYTHING like Impa does.
Okay Anons. Who can think of good attacks for these weapons, and who should get them (includes character not already ingame)?
True, and as you said, she'd use it differently.
That'd be a nice pace of change, if we got other characters to use weapons in a different manner.
Link could probably use the Biggoron's Sword like a Two-handed weapon without the ability to block. He'd also be slower by default.
I just want Fi to be able to equip Link's Swords and Link to equip Fi. Is that so wrong?
Alright, thanks. Some mission I did with a higher tier failed and I didn't know why, so I thought maybe this might have been the reason. Dunno what went wrong then.
The descriptions are so fucking cryptic sometimes.
I don't think so. The word of the post is "roots". Not everyone has to have a relation to Link, and I'm not suggesting someone in every town be related to him. But if there's like 80 NPCs in the world? Having a total of 5 secondary relatives some place out in the world Link can run into would feel like a lot more inclusive than the games tend to.
And I feel like it would ease up on the jarring character interactions where Link jumps from "Hello" to "Would you please do my chores for me?".
Some of the later missions are actually pretty challenging. Like the Volga x2 KO one, or Darunia vs Dorf morale, and defeating all Impas.
My advice, and advice in general for A ranks, is plug in a 2nd controller and go to town with Link if you really need the extra help.
A-15, Legendary Warriors Quiz.
A-5, Triforce Quiz.
Evil Power on Rewards Map.
Chosen By Fate on Rewards Map.
>mfw trying to A rank the master quest gallery pick
>it has 3 max level imprisoned that you have to defeat to resuce all your allies to open boss room
This shit is impossible to A rank even with my level 99 shiek
>That feel when still havent unlocked all weapons to work on 25k for master sword.
You honsetly dont need it to complete the adventure modes or story at all
>tfw volgas C1 can be constatly spammed and shield breaks and you can juggle enemies to death
The x25,000 skill is called "Evil's Bane" on the Master Sword. It raises the Master Sword's power to 500 exactly.
It is called "Lengendary" on every other weapon it appears on. Once unlocked, it raises the weapon's base power to 300. Any further star rating that sword has add 30 more power. The maximum power you can get is having a 5-Star weapon, and even then the power reaches 450. For reference, a tier-3 5-Star weapon already has a power of 420.
In order to unlock the skill on the Master Sword, you must FIRST collect EVERY single weapon (T1, T2, AND T3 as well as Link's 8-Bit Sword) for EVERY single character that is playable. You'll achieve this by beating the Legend mode and then unlocking all the Adventure Mode weapons (you can toggle the Adventure Mode map by pressing X and you'll know you're done when no more sword icons appear As well as a little jingle followed by text that shows the weapon icon and Completed!) Only AFTER unlocking the skill on the Master Sword, you must then actually kill 25,000 enemies. It will not start rolling down otherwise.
Once you've unlocked "Evil's Bane" on the Master Sword, THEN the other x25000 skills on all the other weapons will turn from purple to red and you can start unlocking them 1-by-1 on each individual weapon.
Yeah, you heard me right. It takes exactly as long as you think it does.
Frankly the skill isn't worth it. The only weapons it is valuable on are T1 weapons. However, T1 weapons have a MAXIMUM of 4 slots to use, most have only 1 or 2. Whereas T3 weapons, when 5-Stars, have only 30 pts less poower but tons of extra slots to take advantage of Defenceless, Compatriot, Vs Dragon, Slots+, Materials+ etc skills.
It's not worth unlocking the skill beyond the Master Sword since a T3 5-Star weapon is 420 anyway. Your time is better served unlocking all the x3000 skills you have and finding a nice T3 5-Star weapon with tons of empty slots.
It's trash, not even worth it.
Sounds like the same kind of bullshit that KT pulled in DW8. Two unique weapons for each character that have to be unlocked individually on specific maps. (~1/2 hour to finish a map) x (100+ characters) x (2 weapons each) = So much fucking filler.
I mean, by the time I finished Story and Ambition mode I was nearing 100 hours already. No fucking way was I going to bother trying to 100% the game. That's borderline autistic.
Volga is the best. I only have the free download, too, but my best weapon is
Legendary Skill unlocked (HAHAHAHAHHA)
Strength II (XYXYXYXYXYXYXYXYXYXYXYXY all day niggas)
Just waiting to see if I can get a 5-Star with 4 empty slots (I know it's possible). Then I'll throw on Legendary, Strength II, Defenceless and No Healing. Retarded powerful.
>get paired up with someone from the 3rd world with a shitty internet connection
>trying to A rank
>get lagged while doing combos
>4 imprisoned spawned while lagged and now you're dead
It's worth it on the Master Sword itself, honestly. The Master Sword with Light element + 500 raw power is very strong. More than that, it's DIFFERENT from his Hylian moveset because, when at full health, the sword will unleash waves of evergy at the end of every combo. Furthermore, the Strong Attack is a double spin and has about 40% more range.
Yes, I know about the beams.
Still, the fact that it doesn't have skills is a let down. I can add Strong Attack+, Compatriot, Insta-KO, among other things to make any other sword and make it better and beyond the Master Sword.
Not really? Volga is, not Sheik.
First thing you do is perform C2 (Water)
Play Serenade of Water (congratulations, you have a shield that protects you from 4 hearts of damage that lasts 5 minutes). Took you all of 8 seconds to do.
After that, perform C6 (Light). It's really her only crowd clearer. Your only other option is to then play the Light song, where standing in the light refills your Special Gauge and you can spam your special.
If you are fighting a Captain, you can perform the C5 (Darkness) as well as play that tune. Works well.
If you are fighting a character, you can do the same or try C3 (Fire). Very strong, but the Bolero of Fire is tricky to place.
If you are fighting a giant boss, Spam C3 after placing the Bolero of Fire. The meter goes down very quickly.
you can guarantee of bolero of fire hit by using the special attack when the enemy stands on it.
Even better is to trap them with the dark song, get the fire song under the group of enemies, then use the special attack. Tons of damage.
Well, of all the 25k skills, it is worth it on the Master Sword. I agree that Link has better weapon outputs for general missions. For example, I'm currently building this Hylian Sword weapon for Link:
Tier 3 (Magical Sword)
Strong Attack +
I can't decide what I want for my final skill, Compatriot, Legendary, Vs Undead, Vs Legend, or Vs Twilight.
Shiek's C1(strong attack) changes depending on which combo finisher you use.
C2(water pillar) gives C1 serenade of water (water shield that absorbs damage. HAVE IT ACTIVE AT ALL TIMES)
C3(meteor) gives bolero of fire (high damaging fire trap, good for weak point smashing)
C4(electric clouds) gives song of storms (whirlwind will spin around you, good for killing mooks while running past them)
C5(vanish) gives nocturne of shadow(mini black hole that damages whatever is in it. good for captains and character bosses)
C6(light) gives prelude of light(you gain special meter while standing on the field)
note that you cannot dash cancel while shiek is playing her harp or else you wont get it's effect and you have to do the combo finisher again.
Her special is pretty good, clears mobs all around her. You can also use it after casting bolero of fire to hold character bosses in place so they can get hit with it.
Minute of forest is played during sheik's spirit break, if you care about that sort of thing
Well then, Legnedary to replace Vs Dragon and then Compatriot. Since Light element is already gonna tear ass on the Vs Undead and Vs Twilight. But Vs Legend...I might need that!
Only the finisher and corresponding Strong Attack is elemental based. All other strikes have Lightning element (as all her Harps do).
So, saving up "Light" under your bar isn't going to give your attacks light element. It's just there to remind you what you'll play if you press Strong Attack.
