This mechanic is actually kind of neat.
I don't know how to feel about this.
I haven't played a CoD game and thought "Someone thought about this during development."
Holy shit, The graphics look nice and this seems fun
>throw magic wallhack grenade into room
>enemies all run in front of the door so you can kill them better
also bet money it'll be a gimmick you use one time and then never again just like every semi-decent thing in cod
>/v/ loves CoD now
>FPS' let you shoot through walls?
Since 1998 or 1999, fuck if I remember. Even CS did it.
I'm wondering whether you misread his question or are you just underage?
arguing science magic logic is pointless, but drones could be too heavy to be portable. You need to be able to control it, it needs to have something that enables it to move, it needs all kinds of processing capabilities.
Basically, it's easier to just go with the thing you can toss in a room.
>used to have recon perk that required you to use explosives first before then the pro perk let you use bullet damage to only paint on the minimap
>next game you can carry two sensor grenades that shoot out a red laser and mark enemies on your map in a small radius
>now we have wallhacks
Well that's why I said whether you misread the question or not, since technically he asked about the whole FPS genre, but I'm guessing he might've been asking about COD specifically, so it's my bad.
>>used to have recon perk that required you to use explosives first before then the pro perk let you use bullet damage to only paint on the minimap
also who seriously cares about this casual baby game?
What, like High Moon Studios?
Oh no, they're going the way of Raven and Neversoft, aren't they?
Nah, these grenades are at your disposal almost the entire campaign. They sometimes get replaced with a grappling hook.
sensor grenades from blops 2
you throw them and where they land what ever is in their sight light gets marked on only your minimap and a little laser from the grenade points to them
The future is now.
Because pressing "F" will make you pay respects and you don't want to do that to the enemy, now do you?
You're right, but in the same mission the player character pulls a remote drone out his ass that's literally big enough to mount a machine gun, twin rotors and several hundred rounds. I'm not kidding.
Target has free Doritos or Mountain Dew with this one
they look significantly worse than the previous versions, its like they purposely downgraded everything so that they could say the ps4 version looks better
im primarily master race, so these graphics make me nauseated
Oh God, please help, I can't breathe.
I'd like to know why there is diffused red light flickering all over your HUD as the thing establishes connection
Obviously, it can update in real-time so why would it need to do that shit instead of just turning on from one moment to the other
>putting Batman Vision in a grenade is innovation
>lets you shoot mindless enemies from complete safety
>prompt telling you exactly what to do and where, no choice on how to approach situations
I like it as a mechanic - it's a slightly less cheap way of doing wallhacks than simply flicking the switch on your technogoggles' infrared or whatever
Obviously it's stupid in realism terms (not least because why wouldn't you simply have an infrared switch on your technogoggles?) but it's at least doing something a little different
Just in case anyone tried to call bull
>doritos and dew come with free shit for game
>bundle puts doritos and dew with said game
Just because one comes with free shit shouldn't mean the other should or have to as well
They both come with download codes. They are both bundled. Literal niggas around here buying two Pokemon games bundled but can't comprehend free drink and food with a game.
It's funny to watch how others react though.
>Kevin Spacey believed in you
>Atlas could have overthrown the worlds jewish hold by taking America but you didn't let them
>you failed not only Kevin Spacey, but you failed yourself
>Kevin Spacey literally did nothing wrong
I just came back from my friend's house, he got this shit and I was going to "borrow" it but pc requiriments are retarded, so I don't think I can run it. The thing is, I watched the entire game, and one of the most useful shit out there, are there hack grenades
There's probably a perk that makes you invisible to it. One of the older games had a perk that when you level it it made you invisible to motion sensors so long as you were not running. Whereas motion sensors normally tracked ANY movement. Just like there's ALWAYS been a perk that makes you invisible to UAV. My main class usually uses that perk or set of perks plus all suppressed weapons because stealth and surprise are my strong points.
This is the first COD I'm kinda optimistic about since MW2. I might pick it up.
Will /v/ finally go back to getting angry at casuals instead of SJWs? It always seems like there's some group that's causing the decline of the entire industry.
>being this much of a memer
>using meme buzzwords incorrectly
I agree with you, but you're still a huge faggot, most likely a 15 year old kid who thinks he's the coolest
CoD WAS bad because they kept making the same game over and over and charging full price for it along with ridiculous DLC practices.
This doesn't appear to be the same game or, at least, they've made a significant effort to change the formula. We might not love it but it's not gonna be hated on the same level of Fez anymore.
>Not wanting a Bloodsucker dakimura
Stop making me want to pick this shit up.
To be fair Advanced Warfare actually changes things enough to be different. Even sites that ripped Ghosts a new one are saying that AW is actually pretty damn good. Not MW good but still pretty damn good.
Cod4 is one of the best shooters of the last decade. That game literally was revolutionary, because nearly every shooter that came after it tried to copy its success. Having your protagonist die halfway through the campaign because of a nuke was insane. The multiplayer was the first of its kind to have leveling up, perks, and killstreaks all in one package.
Hate it because it's popular but you can't deny that it's one of the most influential games of all time.
>This doesn't appear to be the same game or, at least, they've made a significant effort to change the formula.
>you will never, EVER play the real Modern Warfare 3
even with all the other dumb shit you said
>Cod4 is one of the best shooters of the last decade
>Hate it because it's popular but you can't deny that it's one of the most influential games of all time.
>influential because it's pandering to casuals = good
Eh, game's fine.
Much better than Ghosts, on par with BO2.
Will /v/ finally go back to getting angry at casuals instead of SJWs?
>pandering to casuals
So you aren't just underage you're also from reddit/tumblr? Nice knowing.
Except for Ghosts and MW3, /v/ has always had a contingent that enjoys each CoD on release for a while before they move on. This is not only natural but not really anything to get worked up about. Calm your hateboner bro. I think the series has run its course ages ago but it isn't terrible.
>A horrible thing being influential doesn't make that horrible thing good.
>Yeah, but it's still good.
Nigger, how fucking dumb are you?
>storing your cacao on top of your microwave
>saves pictures of cartoon girls on his computer recreationally
>calls anonymous strangers online children
Oh man, we have a winner right here
Let me spell it out for you dipshit. When you made your counterpoint you only address one part of the post, the 'influencial point'. So fuck off or make a post that tries to refute everything else not just the one point.
It all comes down to fruits.
Where the fuck do you think you are, child? This isn't reddit, go talk about "grownup" things there.
But vegetables are good for you and cheap.
>sniper rifle blows arms off
>fires the same round as the garand, comparable to mosin and k98
>garand, k98, and mosin don't blow arms off
Its stupid on two accounts. Weapons that fire the same rounds arbitrarily hurt more or less. Second, rifles won't take an arm off.
You can boil literally any genre down like that.
>In burnout you drive around and take out your opponents
>in mario kart you drive around and take out your opponents
>same rehashed shit, and if you enjoy either of those then you're a shill.
>totalbiscuit fanboys flooding internet with hype in an attempt to get sales
>literally hunreds of thousands of them just shitting up the internet everywhere they go
New traversal options (which is a huge feature in a FPS)
New weapons, killstreaks, maps, yadda yadda
Legitimate celebrity for the campaign.
I mean it's still CoD. But do you go to Pokemon threads and complain that they all have the same basic mechanics?
Thats an anti tank rifle. Its not a sniper rifle. Just because it has a scope doesn't make it a sniper rifle.
It also is firing solid shot, which I doubt would dismember a person. It would just go penetrate clean through.
It's the biggest change in the series since MW1. No one's saying it's a new genre or anything, just a better CoD. Which is exactly what it should be.
You know what you're getting with this series. I totally get why some people don't like it, but I'm baffled that people are still outraged by it.
