I love watching overkill like that, even if it really is pointless with a lead like that.
Gotta love those reflection mechanics. Anyone have the one with Falco on Gaur Plains?
Here is a classic.
Yeah. But he didn't and his failure is recorded in a webm for all of time.
You have to beat classic mode with every character on the hardest difficulty and then a cutscene happens where
you find out Master and Crazy Hand are actually Samurai's hands. If you defeat them you unlock this mode. It is irreversible too. Trust me, my uncle works for Nintendo.
Yes he could, faggot. His side b in the air did the same thing. Where have you been?
Flame choke off the ledge would send both players plummeting to the ground. The thing in Brawl is that it was random who the game would decide the winner is, smash 4 fixed it where Ganon always is the winner if the stocks are the same.
Fuck, I stand corrected: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12ORRV2sE-I
After all this years, and I've never encountered ganonciding. Well, I mained Meta Knight anyway, never used Ganondorf
>People born in 1996 are now allowed to post on /v/
...yes? I'm pretty sure it still does that. That Dorf probably had an extra stock.
Yeah, it's cool but it uses an assistance system thing.
>people whose first console of their very own, an Xbox 360 at age 10, are now legal to post on /v/
>kids right now are playing on ipads and will grow up to think them the great system of their childhoods
What, have they nerfed my beloved MK!? Damn you Sakurai!
And look at this: >>271458851. At least when you bowsercide and both have just one stock left, Bowser will win because the opponent dies first
>kids right now are playing on ipads and will grow up to think them the great system of their childhoods
This is sadly the truth. I have three nephews, age 10, 7 and 4, and they all play on iPads only, mostly Minecraft
He became my main, after failing to get good with Samus and Rosalina, I picked up ganondorf and raised my 13% win rate to 45%.
Ganon works out incredible well in smash 4, his aerial game is good and has enough super armor to power through little mac spam. Still he is big and heavy, meaning if your opponent starts juggling you its very hard to regain stage control.
Thats fucking great.
No one ever expects Ness to reflect.
Cant wait for the Wii U version where i'll be able to do it more consistently without having to worry about doing a forward tilt instead of a smash.
Things that people wanted on every character are there, except when they're not. Some people have bitched incessantly about characters being different, some are just happy that their favorite characters are in the "playable" tier now.
Yeah, you can, he attacks differently, but I was panicking at the moment.
Bad thing is that my stick is dying after too much smash, so I'm eagerly waiting for the N3DS to be released here
>N64 webm: Fast-paced, fun looking, and impressive combo.
>Melee webm: Fast-paced, fun looking, and impressive combo.
>Project M webm: fast-paced, fun looking, and impressive combo.
>Smash 4 webm: Slow ass combo that only happens because one person is a retard, often has one person standing for half the duration. That, or people getting excited over some RNG shit like G&W getting five 9's in a row.
Why is this allowed?
What causes this glitch in Project M?
Ive messed with this glitch for hours and its fun as fuck to mess with
Double launches are amazing.
I lost this match but I'm not even mad.
Well in his defence, PM has been pretty popular on /v/ and at smash tournies and shit lately. So much that Nintendo had to pull it from Apex 2015 because of fear that it'd look better than smash 4/be more popular/etc.
Something about the sensitivity of the R and L buttons on the GC controller or something.
>Momentum carried through jumping ONLY WITH WATER CURRENT
WHAT THE FUCK SAKURAI
THIS IS WHY CAPTAIN FALCON ISN'T FUN TO PLAY ANYMORE
Two people who can't punish excessive rolling detected.
Spamming rolls is the best movement option in Smash 4 though. He's only
>be ganon main
>encounter a rolling faggot
>charge an f smash behind me before rollerfaggot is even there
>faggot rolls right into it
Punishing rolls is easy as Hell, especially if it's a predictable roll behind you. 50% of people online don't seem to realize you can just run or jump across the map. It's hilarious. I never see spot-dodges for that matter.
I honestly can't play Smash 4's vets. PM has fucking ruined them for me. All the newcomers are fun to play though.
Holy shit child, you sound as if this is your first thread. Turning 18 doesn't automatically qualify you to open your mouth. Lurk moar before posting
Someone needs to make a webm of that fucking powered up ganondorf grab.
though it probably won't be as good without the sound.
>or palutena's momentum conservation
If you mean by how she conserves momentum while jumping using super speed, I feel like that was probably intentional on Sakurai's part. Pit conserved his momentum and jumped farther while jumping during super speed (or any power or weapon that made him dash faster) in Uprising, so that's probably what Sakurai was referencing.
My favorite thing about Dong is how he punishes the hell out of defensive play. His down-smash and down-special ruins excessive rolling, and the latter eats shields for breakfast. Pic related.
It's a counterpick in one of the three popular stagelists, but it's very unpopular and rarely played.
Hyrule 64 is (weirdly) universally banned though.
Still a great stage none the less. I can't wait for that HD remake they're making.
It's TAS with a "Super Mod" that makes every character broken.
How the fuck is that trolling? It's just someone playing the game and winning. They weren't even griefing.
I often don't get a chance to do anything fancy since I main Bowser.
But with all my replays becoming useless soon I had to make at least one webm.
This is the best I could do.
That's funny, that's how I feel about Smash 4 webms.
Seriously though, I think it's just because you're so used to Brawl/Sm4sh being slower paced so that you can understand what's happening. It's probably going by so quickly you don't even know what happened, but it was a combo, so it might as well have been the same.
>That fucking webm
Underrated dong post. Holy fucking shit
>project meme will not be at APEX
>project meme will die in less than a year
thank you based nintendo
You know, all I want out of Smash 4 is some kind of Turbo mode. That's just the biggest issue I've had with Brawl and 4, they both just feel so slow and float-y. At least 4 feels a bit better though.
A lot of these P:M highlights seem to be based on some crazy broken shit like that near-shield break there. DI doesn't even seem to be a factor like in Melee, which I actually play.
>Project meme will not be at APEX 2015
>Project meme will not be at APEX 2016
We don't know yet, it's unlikely though.
>Project meme will die in less than a year.
Also let's not shit up a good smash webm thread by bringing up casual elitist/tourneyfag elitist shitposting.
Why do you hate PM so much that you wish it's death? That's pretty autistic. Also, there's basically no chance of Nintendo C&Ding and winning. Also, PM is on hitbox.tv now.
Can someone please tell me where the "meme" in Project Meme comes from like holy shit.
Luigi is holding the analog stick a certain direction so that when he's hit, he moves in that direction.
Brawl+ got C&D'd back in 2009 or 2008, and Nintendo lost. PM devs are the same devs as the Brawl+ devs.
Oh, so it's a /mu/
meme? Now I understand. Shit's been confusing me for the longest time.
>mfw I saw these 2 at a Local last Saturday
Tourneyfags don't play with items, so they'll likely never encounter that glitch, since it requires using the timer item.
Fuck you, the timer is the best item in the game just because it's so broken. I love spamming Ness' "okay" taunt over and over again.
Because + implies better, and it's unfathomable that someone could improve upon one of Sakurai's masterpieces because they are all objectively perfect, unless a newer entry exists in that franchise, because then the elder entries are all garbage
Probably not. You can replicate ice climbers through a glitch though. Simply go into training mode with one GC controller in the 2nd port and no controller in the first, play a little bit, and then go into versus mode. You'll be able to control player 1 and player 2 at the same time.
How does the Dong stack up in P:M? I'm a Roy main and I've been having fun with Donkey Kong
also how do you continuously moon walk? I've been playing Captain Falcon a little and I can start the moonwalk but I don't know how to keep it going
Dong's A- tier, but he's sorta in the lower quadrant where a lot of people counter him. He's still really good though, definitely worth maining, like 35 of the cast.
Wish I knew how to moonwalk though.
Why is the Cap's Brawl model so ugly?
That classic costume in PM 3.5 cannot come soon enough.
Am I the only one who feels like a lot of the hostility in the smash fanbase wouldn't exist without brawl?
How do I deal with Link/Toon Link's projectile nonsense?
to be fair I have the tendency to be a lazy asshole and hang around the edge spamming slingshots and Lloids like right there
villager is a ton of fun though, and pocket drastically changes the matchup ina lot of cases, which is great
Maybe. The radically different mechanics of Brawl made high-level play much more accessible, which I suppose people saw as the "casualization" of the series, creating an us vs. them mentality of "highly skilled, super fast, technical old guard" looking down on the floaty, tripping peasants. Project M and Brawl+ came about through attempts to "fix" Brawl, but then even more divisive camps cropped up due to disagreements about how exactly TO fix Brawl.
Brawl wasn't perfect, Melee's fast playstyle is more fun, and they made the game a bit faster in Sm4sh (although I still miss jump momentum). But there's a lot of Melee-fan elitism. I'm all for the casualization of Smash, I'm casual as fuck man, and I like the simple mechanics of the series that separate it from "memorize these twelve-input combos that must be executed precisely" fighting games. A lot of the division on Smash comes from differences in opinion on that issue: how complex should Smash be? A lot of people cite Melee as being incredibly complex and fast-paced, and it's definitely an intense game at high levels, but everyone seems to forget that all the core mechanics of high level play (wavedashing, L-cancelling) were accidents and/or exploits. They're there, yes, but weren't intended. But I guess you could apply "death of the author" to a video game when analyzing its playerbase and how they play it.
>see a Lonk
>leap the distance of the stage in one hop and fall on them with a Nair while they charge their shit arrow
Alternatively, just jump over it all or sheild on the way over
I should make a webm of some of the matches I hit on earlier (a lot of people tend to go Villager in a later match when going up against a Villager) where I got them with a pocketed bowling ball
Yeah, one thing I don't hear a lot is how great PM is because it keeps a bit of the softness introduced in Brawl.
Melee was just a little too fast/slippery and the bit of Brawl floatiness hits the sweet spot just right even though the devs were always looking for a complete recreation of melee physics.
what the fuck is the quality on that webm.
Actually, what the fuck am I even looking at.
>Ganon in melee
You want to fight, faggot?
So many Brawl models look like ass. Sm4sh has a great aesthetic, because it manages to look great without trying to put photorealistic skin and denim textures on a disproportioned cartoon plumber. Brawl (and to a lesser extent, Melee) had a real problem with artstyle dissonance between the character's own design and how they looked in the game. Sm4sh's colors really make them pop in a much more natural way.
>ganon in melee
Say that to my face fucker not online see what happens
Yoshi is definitely the ugliest in Melee
I'm not a fan of Ike's hair in Brawl, it kinda looks like a little spiky blob of purple just glued to his head
Lucina is hideous in Smash 4, but I guess that comes with the territory.
>all this pausing in these matches
Yes. He lost the game because of it. Also, mewtwo is to PM as Fox is to Melee. And Toon Link is to PM as Pichu is to melee. So basically, a foxfag lost to a pichu.
He was being a faggot.
Making my first WEBM with WebMCam and using a video of me derping as an example. Apologies for the quality.
my first webm, I'd like to think it looks shitty because it's long, but I really have no idea.
d.i. = directional influence. Same principle as when someoen gets launched but they curve heavily in the air and it will save them from being K.O.'d
Smash has a little more strategy than it gets credit for and I don't really play it
You mean they're option selects, where the aggressor made good reads
Meanwhile Brawl/4 webms are either last one hit or have some retard playing controller 2 who DIs into attacks and forgets that shoulder buttons exist
Every game I play online is a lagfest. I'm on a 50Mb/s down and 10Mb/s up, sitting literally right next to my router and it's a lag fest.
How the fuck am I supposed to get a good justice knee when the game is laggy as fuck
I'll admit that most of these smash4 webMs are pretty bad. Higher level play is a shitton of great reads, though.
In a lot of melee clips, the victim gets about 1 option select before death.
Here's a pretty good example of what I mean, though the tink probably could have DI'd in a way he'd only get a little murdered.
