HG/SS is good, Pearl/Diamond could be skipped, but I liked Platinum a lot, Black and White are decent, but Black2 and White2 are much better, and have a shitton of good post-game content.
Drawn To Life
Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow
Pokemon Ranger Shadows of Almia
Cory in The House
358/2 Days (If you enjoy singleplayer Monster Hunter you'll probably like this) Other wise watch the HD "movie" for the best story arc in KH
Final Fantasy Tactics A2
Legacy of Ys
Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors
Best game on the NDS HANDS FUCKING DOWN
But since everyone's played that, I'd go with Pokemon Ranger:Shadows of Almia. That game was pretty fucking based yo. It's honestly my favourite Pokemon game.
>Drawn to life
Woah there buddy are you trying to rip open peoples souls?
Cause fuck that game man
Poke fag here
Gen 4: Platinum is a mus it improves on everything that Diamond and Pearl introduced. Seriously play it, its pokemon at its peak.
Dont forget Heart Gold, it improves upon the game engine that Platinum also improved upon, plus its really fun
Gen 5: Black 2 is the best pokemon game i've ever played holy shit, just go play it.
I think it had a different name in murica but yeah. I love that game.
I wish it got a sequel on 3ds it's that good.
I want to play the Pokemon games eventually, but not right now. Will the prices keep going down, or will they go up eventually? I don't want to play them just yet but I don't want to get boned if I wait too long either.
I remember that there was one game that was kinda tower-defensey and you could like run around and I think it had to do with robots or something
Anyone have any clue what I'm thinking off? I remember it being fun
Why'd Nintendo never localize this, it seems like something the west would eat up.
megaman ZX, megaman ZX advent and the megaman zero collection if you haven't played any of those start zero collection go ZX and the advent.
Dude I keep trying to get into Infinite Space but I can't do it. Part of what's keeping me away is the turbo-grating sound effects, especially those of the explosions. Holy crap, I can't handle it. But I wanna listen to the OST and stuff. So I'm conflicted.
it's a poor man's okami, still worth playing if you like okami since it continues the storyline
I disagree with the other posters. I liked D/P/P well enough but Black,White and B/W2 I thought were pretty boring and too easy.
With that said though I catch things that look cool and so I ended up with Krookodile who is apparently pretty overpowered.
He soloed the elite four without being overleveled which was a big letdown.
This is an astute point. I always just grab the most complete torrent I can find and I'm so overwhelmed with choice that I can rarely give a shit about a single game for too long.
Original one was fantastic even though multiplayer devolved into scribble tactics.
Can't say anything about the Disney-themed sequel, although the switch to playing the gameplay with the DS held sideways looked like it would have improved the gameplay a lot.
The lack of a Dragon Quest VII localization for 3DS is some real bullshit but it's also a god damn travesty that there's a Rocket Slime sequel with pirate ships instead of tanks that we can't have.
For what it was, I sank like 120 hours in the Viva Piñata DS game.
I got you nigga, shit is addicting as hell
I played the game so much I started wanting to line things up into rows. when I got to the point where I wanted to line people's noses up with their eyes, I knew it was time to quit
What the fuck is this guy on?
>the voice acting
>the 200 something characters
>the fucking end
We will never see a sequel and it hurts me
This game was made by the same guys. It's a metroidvania type with a really fun monster growing mechanic. The whole package is far easier though
>tfw got a DS lite in 2007
>tfw didn't experience the glory that was the early days of the phat DS
>been an unemployed slob for the past few years and have all of these games to catch up on
>many of them are expensive
>have to find time to play them between all the other games that are coming out
Dragon Ball Z Attack of the Saiyans is one of the best RPGs on it.
Pic and also any and all layton and phoenix wright games.
Easy The Dark Spire. Super cool old school RPG with really great artstyle.
Though it's not on the DS, this is best dbz handheld i ever played.
I believe so
Well, BD is also about '4 heroes of light' and it's all mostly similar. Though the ds one feels a bit more kiddy but extremely comfy.
Imagine a really great rpg, your equipment shows up on your characters, there are a bunch of classes, the characterization is well-done, but then you go into battle and you cannot select what enemy to attack, the game chooses for you. Randomly.
Forgot my fucking pic again, it's getting late.
>but then you go into battle and you cannot select what enemy to attack, the game chooses for you. Randomly.
GoIden Sun does the same shit when you pre-select attack/order and an enemy already gets taken out
>Auto selects an enemy strong against your magic
>Selects a target you didn't intend and they reflect/absorb your attack
It came out years after all the Final Fantasy games and still fucked that up.
Pic is one of the best i've ever played, though it's a VN with minor gameplay elements, Touch detective is great too.
I can't think of anything. The DS library is just too awkward and casual gaming focused to me for some reason.
Only thing I have against this is the super westernized localization but I am not a gigantic weeaboo though so I mostly ignored it. I still need to beat it, though. I stopped when it looked like things were getting real.
