Oh the things that could have been.
Still one of the biggest letdowns in the last years.
It had SO MUCH potential, so much stuff could be done, all the endings ic oudl have had, all the choices, the better combat.
Those freaking creepy things liek the woman ignoring the fire to keep sweeping, the paranoid townspeople.
But no, just your fucking bland "Fight the white man" and "choices are irrelevant" BS.
The worst part was, thanks to the whole multiverse thing, they could have just released the previous build of the game as a DLC and no one would have bat an eyelid.
Probably the one example where NOT being a jew bit them in the ass.
Non shooters don't really sell I think was the issue. So he took the easy way out and redid the game to be a SHOCK A MINUTE ACTION SHOOTER. Depressing really. Also being on last gen hurt it.
Also who is that in the trailer. Doesn't sound like booker.
But anon, the point of the game is that your choices don't matter!
Which is the most stupidest shit especially for a video game. Some one should have had the balls to tell Ken to stop fucking the game up.
I played the first bioshock a year ago and felt the same way I feel after watching that intro. creative, novel ideas, outlandish setting, and unreasonably eccentric and psychotic characters. basically 'alice in wonderland' under the sea and up in the air. the novelty makes it interesting, but that wears off pretty quickly and then you just want it all to end.
That fucking design is nightmare fuel
I like how they didn't even try
All they did was take an ordinary person and go "okay, now let's put another face/swirly thing there"
Original Bioshock bad guys were scary because those were actual skin grafts done circa 1930
Not exactly anon. Seems like it had mediocre sales. Looks like teh dudebros weren't interested in a old-school setting, even if it had the CoD shootan; Reason why his team was disbanded and some of them are now on kickstarter begging for money.
This is moreso what I was wanting most, plus a few ideas from the 2010 trailer. SHame that Levine promised so much then decided to change his mind every month up until time was up, hence the last-minute redo we got.
>no game will ever live up to Bioshock again
i like the part that
in the end of the game, the trailer is also canon
If a company were to buy the rights to the Bioshock series and revive it, what company should and what changes do you think there should be?
That doesn't fucking look like anything. There is no circumstance where anyone would think "you know what I need? Three faces."
Again, skin grafts were sought after because they were a valid (but hideous) alternative to having a hole in your face. It's ugly because someone was crazy or desperate enough to have it done. There's no rhyme or reason behind half of these Infinite mutations because they A) don't look like actual disorders or surgeries and B) make no sense. There's nothing in nature or medicine that would give you three faces, or crystals growing out of you, or four mustaches.
You're just easily impressed.
truth is stranger than fiction
>remember seeing the preview couple of years back
>that announcer-dude when booker takes a rifle changes through couple of different 'quantum' states
>one of which is clearly a soviet-inspired uniform with stars and all
>didn't remember the whole preview, but that one moment really settled in
>cue couple of years later
>expecting to see this little scene
>it never appears
What the fuck, Ken? I've waited all these years....
the reason they have three faces is because them travelling though different deminsions cause different versions of themselves to fuse together
it says so right in the pictures you fucking idiot
Way cooler than the one that ended up in the game.
It makes complete sense. The whole game was about different realities and them crashing into each other. That would be different versions of one person just mashing into eachotehr due to time-space shenanigans.
It would be unsettling at least, and it could be explained as people from columbia not seeing it due to all of them also being in several realities at once. It would be unsettling.
Imagine a scene with Booker just walking through the early game fair and just see those deformed guys, but nobody even mentioning antyhing, maybe make him try to point out, but not responses about it, then late game, people start to see what all the dimesnional meddling did to them and they go on a rampage due to despair and fear.
I'm guessing what we see in the video is a game they could not afford to develop. What we got is something they COULD afford and market.
If games had unlimited budgets and didn't have to appeal to markets, we'd get masterpieces all the time.
Sometimes you forget how much money it costs to develop a good game.
Props to that guy for soldiering on, but holy fuck.
