Games only you've played.
Seriously, I doubt not a single one of you can name this game never mind actually playing it.
I don't understand how this didnt' get more popular
I know some people played it, but this game never had the attention it deserved, it was amazing
This game made me fall in love with RTS
Resource system was stupid, but god damn everything else
>fully voiced campaigns
>can play either the good guy or the bad guy in each campaign
How obscure is this? Never knew anyone who played it
It was basically Pokemon for girls. With Fairies, sometimes scary skeleton fairies.
I would be willing to give 50 bucks to anyone who can prove that he played Cannon Fodder for the jaguar.
But 40 bucks is all I have left in the bank, so I will just say 'holy shit, another one'
Literally everyone from my age group (I'm 26, live in the UK) knows this game, it's not obscure at all. It was on one of the very first PS1 demo discs, same reason everyone here knows Abe's Odyssee
This and Cardinal Syn. I'm not sure how obscure each of them is, but I've never heard mention of either game.
I quite literally had a Jaquar
I had some game that was a video game for a sci fi channel show. It was 2d and pretty interesting what little I remember.
Then there was some fighting game where I could never get the real ending on because it kept saying do a higher difficulty even though I already did. Had a guy made out of some kinda liquid metal or some shit.
And so kinda platformer and all I can remember is the area having a vaguely alice in wonderland look.
Still holds up pretty well
Is this worth playing? I really like games with that kind of artstyle
>Had a guy made out of some kinda liquid metal or some shit.
Rise of the Robots?
I could probably dig up much more obscure games but this one isn't particularly known outside of Finland anyway.
>mfw one of the student clubs at the college I went to had a PC with nothing but Blobby Volley on it crafted into a self built arcade cabinet
>The concept is kinda cool.
Yeah, thats why I said sequel when?
If you had more floating islands to choose from, more characters, customization and more land exploring / air fights it would easily have been a 8/10
Im sure others have played these games but, im pretty sure im the only person when i was like 6-7 to play this game pack all the time, seaquest was my nigga
i even played the japanese version
It's been so long, I barely remember it. However I remember it being quite hard.
had this on the xbox, used to love it along with blood wake
Me and my dad would play this shit all the time.
Wish he was alive when Mechwarrior Online came out, he would of shat bricks
>setting had tons of untouched potential
>first Crimson Skies was a blast
>Microsoft decide to release a mediocre sequel as an exclusive to hype the Xbox
And thus Crimson Skies was kill.
I fucking loved it when all that shit was flying around
I'm positive that I'm also the only one that actually liked it.
>BRUTE FUCKING FORCE
>mfw i spent almost a month trying to find out what that god awful, shitty games name was
oh lordy. it came with the xbox free, and you could find 500 copies at any second hand pawn shop.
the concept WAS cool tho
is that fucking earth worm jim in clay fighter
Runs on modern windows, but I had pretty bad speed fluctuation issues the last time I tried it. Sometimes it would run normally and sometimes it would run really fast or even slightly slower. Shit was really weird, like those early 90s games that were tied to the CPU cycles.
Wasn't it called Sub Culture? You were a race of mini people who collected cans and stuff from the surface. I remember a cave with an electric eel in it. I had the demo but always though it was 2spooky,
Mah niggas. Specially Crisis Beat guy, that game is one of the best beat'em up I've ever played.
If other people actually played this then I'm so sorry
Yeah, that's the one. I played the shit out of it as a kid, and I'm pretty sure I sucked horribly at it. Never managed to beat it, but it was fun. You could do all kinds of shit like luring fish around or blowing them to pieces and selling their meat or grappling on to sea turtles and letting them drag you around.
ive never seen anyone talk about this
shit i remember this boxart scaring me in the store back when i was younger
Shit found one that literally no one else has played
OP, I give. I'm going through all the dragon related games I can remember that I've played - Dragon Seeds, Dragon Force, Dragon Valor, Emerald Dragon, Breath of Fire, Bahamut Lagoon, Panzer Dragoon - and I can't identify your game. What is it?
It's actually not too shabby, great music and decent visuals, even the gameplay is fun in short bursts, and the last time I checked it ran on Windows 7.
Russian Roulette 2: The next worlds.
Long story, short story: you are the descendant of a galactic emperor, you go to the HQ of two factions to do mission, you hop into a vehicle and go blow stuff up, get the crystal, throw crystal into the portal and go to the next world.
Because internet. Nothing remained obscure on the internet, and especially nowadays you'll have watched more minutes of prerelease footage on a game than you'll ever log actually playing it.
You'd probably only find them on the PC. Increasing costs, budgets and a larger userbase means that pretty much from the start of the fifth generation consoles stopped being places on which you could find rare games.
Delta Force 2
Awful graphics, Awful AI, awful sounds.
But it ended up being my most used FPS, since it had a unique campal strategy and the chance to indulge in quick, fun missions.
If anyone knows something similar, please come forward.
>motherfucking TEAM BUDDIES
>my piece of shit mexican cousin had this game on his playstation
>never kept any of his games in their boxes, just had them lying around the house like the piece of shit he was
>family goes over one day and we have an absolute blast playing this game
>next day he fucking loses it because he's never careful with his games
>spend all day trying to find it but never do
>we just play mario party instead but he won't stop farting
Fuck you, julio
psychedelic racing RPGs
population of this genre: 1 gaem
Really hope its on sale for steam soon so i can pick it up again and finally play it all the way through
Was a great game for me aat least wii had some good rpg's man.
I expect at least 3 people in this thread already played this, don't disappoint me now
I must have spent hours exploring the levels looking for cheats. Definitely some of the coolest level design in any racing game. Also had a cool story, racing in a post-apocalyptic world for pieces of fruit? Hell fucking yeah.
Somehow, I get the feeling that I'll get a 'nigga everyone played that' to this. Never seen it discussed though.
Holy fuck I bought this a couple of years ago. Played it for a few hours and got lost as shit in that building thing you start the game in.
Using the ball on your head at your weapon/defense was a neat mechanic.
I can't be the only one that have played Resident Evil : Kamen Rider, right?
It's like if Doom and Macross Frontier had a child.
>start from the beginning after game over
I swear to god after a three hour run in the game boy version I couldn't bring myself to stop screaming for some good 10 minutes after beating it. Man, my parents thought I was mad.
I played it but never actually finished it. The mecha battles were cool and I kinda liked the episodic feel it had. I read somewhere it was quite short and mediocre so I ended up dropping it even though I somewhat enjoyed it
Why would you not put it on Steam
It was made by the guys that make Gran Turismo
99.9% of you fuckers have never seen this.
The last guy can hear the music playing in his head.
Only took you 2 fucking hours to say something.
>Someone saw through my Panzer Dragoon ruse
>I will act indignant now
Who played these awesome games?
Oh no I'm glad you got it, I've been waiting to post some Aura Battlers the whole thread.
Took you fucking long enough to get here.
randomly rent this with my friend
surprisingly fun to play
probably one of the game that I like to play as player 2
>One of my favorites games of all time.
>Never met a single person in my life who has even heard of it.
This ENTIRE THREAD
And NOBODY mentioned this?
Fuck. It's only the best first person shooter on playstation.
and its SCARY as fuck, too. This game gave me SO MANY NIGHTMARES As a kid.
Can you name it?
>>One of my favorites games of all time.
>>Never met a single person in my life who has even heard of it.
fuck yeah, it was one of the best xbox games, along with otogi1/2 and metal wolf chaos
>this was the first game I played on the PS2 as a kid
>mfw I had no idea how to play flightsims and ended up dying constantly
I'm not that far yet.
Thus, far it's only been literal Panzer Dragoons.
But they did Sirbine up the Dunbine in the Opening
Breakdown was pretty well known online, just didnt sell for shit as far as I know. Never played it myself but heard good things.
Blast Chamber was actually on a PSX demo disk that came with my system, or at least a demo. Seemed pretty cool.
I'll go with magic of scheherazade for my vidya I never hear about. Didn't play it much, but it had a ton of different gameplay elements tossed together.
WELL I'LL AT LEAST SAY MY ENTIRE FAMILY LOVED THIS GAME
All 7, yes, SEVEN of my brothers nostalgia the FUCK out of this game
if you haven't played Kileak you literally havent experienced what a good game feels like
I played the demo on PC... back then I didn't know CTRL was short for control so I never got past the tutorial. They told me to press control and I didn't know what the fuck that was.
Some might have play it, but I guess only hardcore Blitzkrieg fans stayed, game was just plain unfinished. Luckily it's as moddable as Blitzkrieg is. Too bad mission editor was not included, so you can't fix missions.
voice acting was horrible, other than that, it was pretty fun.
Great franchise, I played Black Hawk Down back and foward, completed it like at least 10 times. Recently I got it off Steam. It was a little shock how 10 years ago I didn't notice it has ballistic drop and delay.
Im sure people have played it, but none that I know IRL.
This and Freespace 2 were my main games in my childhood before Dota.
I've honestly considered buying the rights to this game. I can afford to do it, and there is simply too much potential in that universe for it to never be seen again.
omg, that is the best fucking game in the world, I couldn't remeber it's name, but I would play it every weekend at my friend's house. I couldn't read neither english or japanese and had a hard time to figure the options and menus. When I saw the disk at my friend's house for the first time and asked what game it was, he said: "It's a dumb game that I regret buying about watching mobs fighting and never be actually able to fight them yourself... utter shit" But I wanted to try it anyway and fell in love with it. Good times.
Googled Warzone 2100 for box art, surprised by results I got, free and open source now (know what I'll be doing all week).
How come I never encountered anyone in RL who even knew what this was? (Do you mean Warhammer?) What is wrong with people.
Another one seemingly no one played.
First one was better.
>literally nobody else on /v/ has played kileak the dna imperative
>or its sequel kileak the blood
>2 games /v/ has never heard of
>and they're the best metroidvanias playstation has to offer
>even better than SOTN
Last scenario, rpg maker game, starts with a cliche "the demons have awoken and you're the chosen one" and proceeds to create one of the best game stories I've ever seen, has a pretty good card minigame thing with its own storyline.
If you're not playing anything right now you should definetly give this a try.
I dunno. I got this one on the black market. It's pretty obscure, I bet half the scrubs on here have even seen it.
>all these dumb fucks saying Panzer Dragoon
Did none of you actually play Panzer Dragoon, Panzer Dragoon Saga, or Panzer Dragoon Orta?
Because apparently you've all missed out on one of the best rail-shooter of all time, of all time. Go play any of them, they're all insanely fun, but Panzer Dragoon Saga is the hardest. Huge difficulty spike with the forest boss.
3d Worms, or kinda like Valkyria Chronicles, but with less moe and more pigs.
My dad gave me the choice of buying either Hogs of War or pic related when I was a kid. I chose the latter and to this day I regret it.
>Mega Man Legends
>Subject of fan campaign to have a third game made
>Capcom decides to do it with fan input dictating parts of the game
>Huge internet buttmad uproar
Yeah man no-one played it
Also pic related was the coolest game on the PS1
I know I'm the only one who played it.
This one's a little more obscure but I'm sure at least a couple of people have played it
I remember playing the second one and it erroring every time I got to a certain point, gave me the rage
Trying to remember the name of a game, came out after 1997 for the PlayStation. It was set in a tower (think it was 100 floors) and the town at its base, tower was randomized, there was monster taming, RPG elements, when climbing stairs you got an advantage/disadvantage based on height, THERE WAS NO MEMORY CARD SUPPORT. (wanna emulate it with savesates)
Clearly didn't play "attach pic" religiously
I don't know how many times I have posted this game in these threads.
Micro Machines V4
It's so shitty but I love it anyway for some reason
ughhhh, that level with the time travel shit or whateever where you have to go through the same part of the level over and over and it changes slightly each time.
This game was my fucking favorite.
Drinking soda in first person.
ughhhhhh I love this
I will only bother with it when someone will bother to translate it
A Blitzkrieg-based game. More like a total expansion set in mid 60s if CMS resulted in actual conflict
If you know the plot you don't need a full translation to know what's going on.
RTS game set in 60s, after M.A.D. started and ended WW3, based on Blitzkrieg engine and many it assets. You can play as USSR, PRC, US/UK and EU.
There are some diferencs from Blitz.
First of all there's turn-based strategic mode. You move around units to engage enemy units and capture bases (ammo supplies, reffineries, airports), via generated missions. Resources (ammo, fuel, spares) are limited and may run out. You get free infantry and APCs, but tanks, SPGs and planes you must buy for resources.
Other than that, minor changes. Crews can be killed inside vehicles. They can be replaced, but you lose all their XP. Contamination zones can kill crews in unshielded vehicles. Infantry can't be produced in trucks.
Game was pretty broken on release, but lots of things can be fixed with notepad and patience.
I bought it completely out of random. The cartrige image have nothing to do with the actual game.
It's was really fun tough.
It's not Azure Dreams, this game had a browner less saturated color palette, was was Isometric with 2d Sprites, and didn't have save/continue options. More Western character designs and art as well.
main difference was the inventory screen, it was a grid and larger items would take up more of the grid, and of course it didn't support memory cards or have a password system.
I had that same game on the Sega Saturn.
Remember the cheat that let you play through the level where you shoot at the developers faces?
And that one level where you have to chase the guy through the caverns, and there's all those dead ends all over the place?
It was a pretty cool game.
I haven't played this shit in years upon years, but I still remember that it was fucking assravagingly brutal. My mother used to play simpler vidya back in the day and had fucking MLG tier Tetris skills, yet she couldn't even get near the final stage, let alone finish it
I'm beginning to think I might have picked up the only copy in existence.
On another note could some anon name another game for me? It was on the PS1, tank battle game only everything was VR and tron-like. Any ideas?
>tfw I lived through the golden age of finnish free- and shareware games.
This is one the the best video game related feels.
This man always keeps his eyes on the prize.
Hm... lemme check my... yeah... this seems right for this thread
Is that one of the Metaltech or Earthseige games?
Both got a lot of press back in the 90's.
Everybody played the Skyroads shareware. I never met anybody that played the full version, let alone beat it.
