How do you even screw up this bad?
Does this image accurately represent the videogame industry today?
I hope it was because it was falling off or was really itchy or something.
Otherwise, why the hell would he take it off? He seemed like a jerk.
On another note, did any SJW comment on the fact that a WOMAN got a price?
It's probably the first time they've heard about a woman who's actually done stuff for vidya, so I'd expect they'd be all over it.
Well, you can always twist it. "See, it's not impossible to succeed as a woman, no matter what those evil bullies tell you! Those GG bastards must have felt pretty bad after this brave woman received her award."
Hating on that guy aside, Ken and Roberta are great
>Happy couple that felt like making their own video games
>Made a very successful company, game after game, after game
>Behind the excellent animated adventures of the old days
>Sold the company, left video games behind
>Now goes with her husband on world adventure and blogs about them
>Still an happy couple
Also, if you haven't played Leisure Suit Larry 3, you got to see this
>Roberta doesn't even seem like she wants to be there.
>Gives him the hat.
>He doesn't even have the thought to hold it to his heart to both not wear the retarded hat and also look like he's being respectful.
Literally the worst.
The woman is one of the creators of the original Kings Quest long ago.
The series was just revived and she gave that hat, based on the main character, to the new developer as a "pass the torch" thing and he immediately took it off.
Crowd booed, he went to twitter to damage control and said he was just nervous
Please tell me you're trolling and this is all some made up bullshit.
what the fuck, i just watched a trailer for the new King's Quest and it looks like shit. and it seems to have platforming and set pieces. what were they thinking? do they WANT another Mask of Eternity.
Pretty much, the FF7 cock tease was just as bad today.
>HEY REMEMBER THAT THING THAT MOST PEOPLE KNOW AND LIKE
>YEAH YEAH IT'S COMING TO PS4
>AS A PORT THANK YOU PLEASE UNDERSTAND CHING CHONG
People in the crowd looked so salty after that
No one knows. He went to severe doctors and none of them could identify it. He even had biopsy's done and never had a definitive explanation.
He was in so much pain he couldn't walk for a while and it eventually cleared up. His legs are fine now.
There was an after party.
Kojima wasn't allowed to go because he was wearing sneakers.
Same with Naughty Dog people.
Let that sink in.
This industry is so overrun by normal fags that video gaming related parties have formal dress codes that deny entry to video games developers.
DID HE FUCKING ASK TO BE KISSED ON THE CHEEK YOU FUCKING DIRTY FEMALE RAPIST, DID ANYONE SEE HIM GIVE CONSENT TO HER, NO. SHE HAS TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF THIS POOR MAN ONLY WANTING A HUG, HOW DARE SHE, FUCKING BITCH, I LITERALLY CAN'T EVEN RIGHT NOW
He could've given it to the female collegue AFTER the speech. What he did was incredibly rude. It would be like being knighted, and then doing the "brush yo' shoulders off" gesture, right after. Completely disrespectful.
>This Kojima sneakers fiasco
Are sneakers different in America? Are they different shoes (They are like Nike/Adidas things here) or are they socially viewed differently?
Because here where I live, sneakers are basically the standard casual wear shoes. Though I don't exactly monitor shoes in public, I don't ever recall seeing people at clubs with anything more classy than sneakers on.
Does nobody know how to fucking communicate in this industry? Did they not spend 5 seconds to say they were going to do that? Then he probably wouldn't have looked so awkward and embarrassed.
To be fair, it's very possible that the people behind the show had nothing to do with the after party.
Perhaps they just reserved a club and the doormen did what they always do. It's not unusual to reserve a club for a large group of people, but that doesn't mean that you decide the rules of the club.
Of course, it would have been smart of them if they'd asked about dress code or told the club to expect some sneakers wearing people.
Sneakers are for smart casual. That's usually accepted in many places. Some sneakers can and often are more expensive than ordinary shoes.
This is what happens when poorfags cavedwellers try to act fancy.
>sneakers are not formal amirite? so no entry for u
Every single vidya event seems to have this cringeworthy shit or god awful hosts/presenters. It's no wonder nobody but teens and manchildren care about then when they're always so goddamn unprofessional.
>Sneakers are smart casual
>Some sneakers can and often are more expensive than ordinary shoes
Reebok sells these cheap as fuck black sneakers with solid white sole for like 15$ at most. They last a little over a year and are extremely comfy. Every fucking time I meet someone who's all about what shoes you are wearing, they compare their sneakers to mine and gloat about paying 150$ from a pair they only wear 2 times out of the year.
There are a lot of venues in Vegas where you wont be setting foot inside if you don't meet dress code. Less to do with the people holding the party and more to do with the people at the door who work for the place and are just enforcing normal policies.
That's the entire point of shoes and other apparel as social wear. They're buying them precisely because they are ridiculously expensive. It's the only way by which you can validate yourself in a soulless modern capitalist machine.
It isn't limited to clothing. They buy Ipads every year for the same reason.
>Unceremoniously ditch the Homestuck Adventure Game
>break Roberta William's heart on-stage
Off to a great start, Bonehead McFuckup.
This industry doesn't deserve its customers. And we don't deserve this shit. I'm too old and have seen far too many good things ruined by the hands of incompetent, lazy, greedy, uneducated, inexperienced game-hating customer-loathing shit-flinging MOTHERFUCKING ASSHOLE PUBLISHERS AND DEVELOPERS. I HATE THIS INDUSTRY, ALL OF IT.
Like a Marxist anxiously reading the morning's papers wishing to see the first signs of capitalism collapsing, so do I expect the second crash to start. Except that it never will.
I fucking hate this industry.
>caring about "professionalism"
>being a pretentious douchebag who views it as a major faux pas when someone takes off a hat, or mispronounces a word, or stutters a little bit or something
If that were truly the case, gaming would be a hell of a lot better. It's more like gaming is by jews, for 12 year olds.
Nothing about his outfit was below class standards for a VIDEO GAMES AWARD SHOW AFTER PART
If you get out of your basement every once and awhile you'd know there are places that wont bend dress code rules because you say you are a rearry biguu deveropuu. The guy at the door doesn't care.
Almost every club in Vegas that isn't located in Circus Circus and Treasure Island. I'd assume they would have an after party for industry insiders at the Wynn which would definitely have a dress code.
>They literally devoured two million dollary doos in a year and had nothing to show for it.
I'd say I'm surprised, but I saw how "expertly" they handled Niel Gaiman's game.
